If you want the real thing go to Roakes on Mcloughlin. I've been going to Roakes since I was a kid and Annie's is a knock off. Imitation is the weakest and crappiest way to make a dollar. Worst hotdog I've ever eaten. I will be a loyal Roakes customer till the day I die.

There long hot dogs (forgot the name) are delicious. There prices are very reasonable and their farmer Jon burger is huge but very scrumptious (:. I recommend it to anyone.

I met Cindy (the owner) at my place of work and she become one of my good clients. She told me about her diner and I inquired about its location and decided to come in and try. The food is made to order, so it does take a little bit of a wait, which I didn't mind because Cindy is inherently friendly. Her husband, who took our order, was also very friendly! That and the food comes out hot and fresh! DELICIOUS. I swear that I ate my burger in like 20 seconds. I INHALED IT and my fries so fast that I missed it when it was gone. For some reason, I felt a sense of nostalgia when I was eating the burger like I was transported back to my childhood in California when I always used to eat at authentic diners. The burger is juicy and full of flavor and just the right size. The fries are fresh and hot. You can tell they cut them directly in the kitchen. My husband and I both ordered a "Lil John combo" which entails a burger with added ham, egg and bacon as well as fresh cut fries and a drink. Our total for two combos was about 16 bucks. This place is quite a ways away from where I live but we'll soon be returning!

We love going to smaller family owned businesses like Annies. The burgers and fries are delicious, so are the corn dogs. We've been going there for years. Good food, good prices.

Nice family owned place. Tasty, well prepared burgers. Soft fresh sesame seed buns with the perfect amount of spread, crisp lettuce, red ripe tomato, tangy pickles and onion. These burgers came to our table looking better than the ones on other place picture menus! The fries looked great but were a little under done and had a strange smell (perhaps from the oil?). Not inedible but just odd. Another Yelper said they were like In-N-Out fries which I can see but they don't taste the same. The onion rings on the other hand have a fantastic crunchy batter with tender onion inside. Not the crumbly breadcrumb type but real battered rings. Once bitten, the whole onion never pulled in one piece to slap your chin with hot oil either. What can I say, I've had a few onion ring experiences in my life. The other notable menu item is the shakes. Made with real ice cream in a variety of delicious flavors. Don't miss out on those! The strawberry was really good and seemed to be made with real fruit. Great place that's been in Gresham for 16 years.

Annie's is the perfect little diner place to grab a really good burger, hotdog, or milkshake! Owners seemed to know every person that came in personally. Loved that. Chicken strips and burger had amazing flavor. Onion rings were amazing as well. Fries were alright after putting some salt on them.

This is really 3.5, but I'll give them 4 for blowing fast food, and most of the establishments in the area, out of the water. But... they really need some air conditioning in the summer. I brought the in-laws here last summer, and it was sweltering. I could have cooked a burger on my forehead, or the table. Good little diner type establishment. Small menu with good options, great service, way better than fast food. The fries have been baaaad 2/4 times I've been here, to where it was totally not worth the calories to eat them... If you know me, you'll know I never met a fry I didn't like, and eat... Yes I'm a fry cannibal. Actually, I'm kind of picky about my fries, so I'll let it slide. The chicken strips are killer... really delicious. The prices are great, portions well worth the money and the burgers are good. Quite good, actually. It's a great place to stop instead of fast food, nice little local dive, I think they have milkshakes, and I always leave happy.

The burgers were great! I had an amazing mushroom burger and my girlfriend had a deluxe cheese burger. Though, the burgers were top, the fries were pretty disappointing. The shakes were not bad either.

Service was great, food was excellent! I wasn't expecting a drive-through window but I was pleasantly surprised.

Mediocre burger made of low quality beef and garnished with bland veggies. I asked them to add ham to my double cheese and I got half a thin slice of sandwich meat. The large fries was actually a huge amount, thus the second star. Might try a dog & a malt next time, might just not return

We came through here one night last week when it was about 8:45 PM. They couldn't seat us, as the close at 9, but they made us everything we wanted and we could take it out. I opted for the double-cheeseburger because I was quite hungry and this was the first food all day. The burger quality was astounding for such a small place and reasonable price. The burger was so big I couldn't finish my fries - I'll have to go for a single next time out of self-defense. The fries were a little limp but not stale or overgreasy - it's the kind of fry you'd fry for yourself, clearly cut fresh from potatoes that day, perhaps mere hours ago. If they weren't ramrod-straight and snapping-crisp it was because they were homemade-style, not the over-engineered, comparatively-tasteless type you get from, say, a McDonalds or a Burger king. The taste was light, pleasant, potato-y, with exactly the right amount of salt. The place was an old hot-dog place, a former Roake's Foot-long, so the building was cheerfully, comfortably care-worn without being trashy, clean and well-kept despite the wear. This is a place for good-old "burgers", and the taste of the meat is so good I can't help but recommend it.

I've been going to Annie's for over 14 years. They have the best burgers and fresh cut fries. Their specialty is the coney hotdog, in which they make their own sauce. Best coney in town!!! I also love their old fashion milk shake. If you happen to be in Portland, stop by and give this place a try. You'll find yourself going back for more.

While this place doesn't look like much from the street it has amazing cheeseburgers and shakes!! I'm not the biggest fan of the fries but the onion rings make up for that. This is my regular place to go when I want a burger. I have long since given up on fast food; lack of taste, cost, and the impact it makes on our planet. Everything is made to order so if you go drive thru, keep that in mind. They are closed on Sundays and close daily by 8pm. Love the food...give them a chance to prove it to you too!!!

Great thick shakes and malts. You really have to try their Coney Dogs! Onions and mustard atop spicy meat sauce and a snappy dog. So good.

Holy Moly. I wanted a good burger, and I got a piping hot, to drool for deluxe cheeseburger in 5 minutes. I am definitely coming back for the burgers. Cheaper than mcdonalds burgers AND this good? Yes please. Not impressed with their fries (similar to in n out fries which I don't like), but that doesn't matter to me, I just wont get them next time. Next time I come ill try their popular coney dogs and update my review! So I tried their coney dog and it was pretty darn good! I've never tried a coney dog, and am not a big fan of mustard, but it isn't a real coney dog without it! I don't think I would get it again since their burgers are so darn good, but I'd still recommend them!

Great food, amazing milkshakes! The drive through is the most ghetto drive through you will ever come across. It's so bad it's funny and you have to experience it to understand. Other than that and the sometimes under cooked fries, I love this place.

This is a good place to get an all-American burger. They come out piping hot and have all the condiments you expect on a burger. I also got chocolate malt which was superb. They do charge extra for drink refills but you really can't blame them.
