Taco salad. With chips. Some people find this odd, but I much prefer chip-based taco salads to the ones contained in those shell. Anne's has chips. It of course doesn't have as much beef as the ones I make, and it uses some basic tortilla chip rather than Dorito's, but unlike me they're trying to make some money.

The breakfast sandwiches are hard to mess up but I wouldn't attend for lunch.

Easy spot for breakfast to go after a run on the river walking into town on Salmon. Storefront in first floor of one of world trade tower buildings. Diner plus convenience store in one.

Just when I thought I could not hate Anne's anymore, they proved me wrong! I know the last time I wrote I said I would be boycotting them for life but I was at work and I needed some fiber and the closest grocery store is 14 blocks away! So I disregarded everything I believe in, walked in to Anne's and ordered a tiny granny smith apple. I almost didn't pay for it when she told me it was $1.75 (FOR ONE, TINY APPLE!) but there was a line now and I didn't want to be the indecisive prick that holds up the line and walks away with nothing. So I paid and my apple was of the Winco variety, soft and borderline inedible. Seriously Anne's? Does everyone pay $1.75 for Granny Smith apples? Or do you just hate my guts after the not so stellar yelp review I gave you? Either way, you and your granny smith apples and your $50.00 French toast and your skanky ass coffee can have a ball, because I will NEVER step foot inside your establishment again!

What more can you ask for being 21 years old, wanting eye candy during an hour lunch from a law office. From spending a day dealing with tax attorney's, gossip from other clerks and drama only seen on television; Anne's is often my escape. I walk into the bottom of the World Trade Center, order a turkey sandwich with avo and some chips (Sadly this is where a star is docked.. prices are pretty high for the food). Within minutes I sit in my corner next to the giant window and people watch. There's the homeless guy I've lovingly dubbed, "Linus", as he is resemblant of the Peanuts cartoon character that never let go of his blanket. (This guy drags around the same man-sized blanket every day). There's "Blue-beard" who has a gigantic beard and looks like he could eat men. Then there's the young just out of college... eye candy. The young business men with their short hair, briefcases... and shiny smiles. The food here isn't the best in Portland, the atmosphere is.. well a deli. They take cash only... but seriously... if you want something interesting to watch sit here for 30 minutes to an hour during lunch rush. 3 stars and kudos to a good turkey avo and giant windows.
