First we had to sit in the noisy bar full of white trash and drunks because they close the dining room at 7? 7 really? We were wanting something quiet and romantic. They didn't care less. Where else can you go? I ordered the brisket. She came back and they were out but making more for fathers day the next day. Fine I ordered a steak. She came back and said they had one order of brisket. I never want the last of anything so I questioned it. She assured me the chef wouldn't serve something sub par. Well, the chef must have already gone home by 730 on a Saturday night. What they did was cut some slices from the unfinished roasts in the smoker. I couldn't even cut it with my knife. I am not exaggerating. I asked her to charge me for my salad and baked potato and tell the cook he could eat the shoe leather he served me. What a disapointment. One star because the server was nice.

I love this restaurant. We have had many a birthday party here, and last night was one of the best. We had the best waitress ever. She made sure we all had our dinners and we had drinks constantly. The food was awesome and the prime rib was the most tender and juicey and had the best seasoning onit The restaurant has view of the beautifully manicured golf course. This would make and Ideal place for any gathering even a wedding. So lucky we live 10 mins from this place.

These folks were great to work with! We had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner here. The food was fabulous, the servers stayed right on top of everything. Jessica was very kind and very accommodating. We were able to come in early in the day to decorate and the tables were already set! The fireside room was perfect for our group of 35. The servers were enjoyable, quick, easily accessible but never in the way. Truly thankful to have found this place!

I went to the Farmstead restaurant at the Arrowhead GC in Molalla for their holiday brunch with my father today. We were seated at a table with a nice view of the greens, except for watching someone taking out the trash about a dozen times. We were told the buffet area was all the way back where we came in and down the end of the hallway. Not sure whose idea it was to put the food so far away. There was a wide array of food choices that looked good, but the stack of plates were wet and I didn't like that. The scrambled eggs, bacon and strawberry blintzes were good. Much of the other food, like the prime rib, was cold, and that was a disappointment. I heard the same story from the table of eight next to us. The real capper for me was the Santa Claus they hired, who didn't feel the need to stay in character and joked coarsingly with the Golf Director in the buffet area. When the bill came for $50, I felt bad for my dad, shelling out that much cash for such a mediocre experience. Needless to say, I have no desire to go back.

Good food and good service. Prime rib is good and drinks are reasonable. Sit in the bar it is layed back and relaxed.

Looking for a place to have a reunion, we had few choices in Molalla. The bowling alley was too noisy, the White Horse bar had limited food choices, and the Grange Hall didn't allow alcohol. Thanks goodness we thought of the Farmstead Inn! All kidding aside, it was the perfect choice. The staff was absolutely wonderful to work with. We were given about a dozen buffet choices all at different prices so we could tailor our dinner menu to suit our budget. When we first booked the place months and months ago, we had high aspirations of up to 200 people attending. However, as the date loomed, we realized this number was going be far less than that. No problem! The staff informed us that as long as we could give them a firm number the week before, we would be golden. The date arrived and when we showed up early to set up, staff was already on hand to help out with whatever they could. They even had a Welcome table all ready and waiting. The food was wonderful, the staff a joy to work with, the experience unforgettable. I heard many, many positive things from the attendees in the days following. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is that they closed earlier (10:00 pm) than we would have liked. That said, we will definitely be back!

I've been here for lunch and dinner. I had the fish and chips for lunch and they were the biggest fish chunks I've seen! Very good tho! We had lunch in the bar and there were some golfers in watching the big screen tv so it was a little noisy. When we visited for dinner, it was very quiet and intimate, decent food.

I have been to The Farmstead numerous times since it opened 10+ years ago, and have always been pleased with the food and service -- even with the different menu changes that have happened along the way. Today's visit was to the restaurant side of the establishment, not the pub -- although we have had good results at the pub, as well. Today's lunch visit was to celebrate my mother's 65th birthday, and I have to say that it was an excellent choice. The Farmstead offers a wide range of American classics, as well as 'newer' fusion type flavors (oriental and southwest influences). Within our group of five, we had a philly steak wrap, thai chicken wrap, cheeseburger, kids fish n' chips, and my blackened ahi tuna entree salad -- all of which were met with high praise. The ahi salad seemed like a perfect choice for me since I was keeping an eye on calories, and I was not disappointed. The base was a nice mix of spring greens, with fried wantons, chunks of apple and celery, all topped with the seared and sliced ahi. The ahi was cooked perfectly, with a nice spicy kick -- and the texture? Just like buttah! The salad had a light, somewhat spicy, dressing with traditional oriental flavors -- ginger being one of the more notable standouts. Top notch. The birthday girl ordered her own cheesecake for dessert, and the rest of us shared a brownie/cookie crumble sundae -- a nice finish to a great meal. The only real critique I would have is more pertaining to the layout of the restaurant dining room. When patrons enter the restaurant, there is no sign saying whether they are to wait to be seated, or to seat themselves. If the servers are at their prep station, or tending to patrons on the west side of the dining room, they have no way of knowing that someone is waiting to be seated. This did create an awkward moment when we entered, including a longer than expected wait in the lobby, until we ventured into the dining room to contact a server. But that is minor. We rate The Farmstead very high overall, and we will definitely be back again!
