For being one of the last non franchise burger joints in area, the quality is compared to mcdonalds (which is across the street). This place needs rescued. I'd recommend you pass this place up, and find another place to eat. Almost any place in Molalla would be a better choice.

I love this place. Yep, greasy sloppy burgers, French fries, milkshakes, deep fried mushrooms, onion rings or whatever. Although I live near Tacoma now, I grew up in Molalla and go back frequently to visit my parents. I stop by Big Burger all the time and NEVER go to McDonalds across the street. There is a reason this place has been here for 30+ years.

My burger came with some free hair. We never have eaten there since. Dine at your own risk.

I'm a big fan of their ice cream and shakes ! YUMMY. Inside is kinda run down and uhh needs a remodel but the drive-thru works good. They have lots of good flavors for shakes and freezes My favorite is the Chocolate- peppermint freeze :) There regular food in ok too!

I love this place. It's mandatory that we stop here on the way back from the river. It's a total greasy spoon. This is the place to get your grease fix. Burgers that drip all over, bomb milkshakes, deep fried anything (including twinkies), etc. This is a small town, flat grill diner staffed by local high school kids. It's been in Molalla forever and thankfully when McD's went in across the street a few years ago, Big Burger survived. The town of Molalla has grown considerably in the last 10 years or so, but Old Molalla is alive and well inside Big Burger. It's great for people watching, there is often a toothless freak show in the dining room. Skip the drive-through unless you're super patient.

This place is sort of like your typical highway burger joint. Dirty, greasy, and when you walk out of there you smell like fried food. We came here once when we were really craving American food because there obviously aren't many options in Molalla. The young girl who was ringing us up didn't make the experience much better. When we asked what the difference in the two chicken sandwiches were, she said "one looks like this and the other is grilled" and grabbed an uncooked fried chicken patty to show us out of a bucket of patties intended to be cooked, and then put it back in the container which will end up on the next person's plate! Yeah, we said we definitely didn't want that one, especially since she had just touched it.... The food was what we expected from a fast food joint, and the onion rings and fries were okay, really greasy, and not such great quality. This place is just too run down and unsanitary for me to ever want to go there again, and the customer service wasn't so great either. If hitchin' post is open, go there. Not only will you get good service, but you will probably get better quality food, a little less fast foodish, that isn't served to you by an inexperienced/ borderline rude high schooler.

They have amazing food and shakes, kind of expensive but worth it because there aren't a lot of great places in Molalla. Service is not always very good though they can be short with you and it doesn't always seem like they're very happy to be there. But the food is awesome fried mushrooms and a fishwich is what I like, and their milkshakes are to die for!

Food was worth the wait. Reminds me a lot of a burger shack in Sweethome Oregon. Will be going back again.

Great milkshakes and the food always smells amazing when I am there. When giving kids the choice of McDs or Big Burger, BB will win every time. Service is slower, but it's a restaurant not fast food so I don't mind.

So my neighbors I grew up next to own this place which I love because its always a friendly face at the drive thru window or the counter inside, even at the grill. I love the ice cream cones which are huge and the milk shakes have a ton of flavors to pick from and clam strips are my favorites you can't find many places and more. I go here as often as I can since I'm not local any more but it will always be part of my childhood.

We go here for ice cream only. Ordered food here a few times and ended up not liking any if it, 3rd time was not a charm it was the deal breaker. Shakes are good I love the sundaes And the cones are big, bigger than mcdonalds cones!

The most amazing ice cream cones ever! Has not changed in 30 years. Can't drive thru molalla without getting one. Tradition for years to come.

I've eaten here a few times and the food is that good old fashioned drive in food. Unfortunately they need to keep better track of the cold on their food, especially tarter sauce. It was a little dried out and I wondered when I ate it but took a chance. Bad idea. Food poisoning for real. It was the only thing I ate before it started that hadn't been cooked in a fryer. Come on guys. Be careful. I like you and quality control should be paramount even with your high school kid staff.

This is a traditional, Oregon burger joint. No frills, no fancy seating - just huge, greasy burgers, fries, milkshakes, etc. The service might be a *little* bit surly, if they feel like you are judging them. Tip well and come back and I am sure they will be fine. Sometimes you just want a good burger and a shake - nothing fancy, just grade A american food. Places like this are fast disappearing, and we are going to miss them when they are gone. This place reminds me of Vickie's Big Wheel in Waldport, another awesome hole-in-the-wall burger joint.

When we go shooting out in the woods we always stop at Big Burger on our way back in to town. My mom lived in Molalla many years ago, am I used to eat here a couple times a week. The staff is always super friendly. The burgers are tasty, the bacon is delicious, and the soft serve cones are gigantic!

I haven't been here for roughly 1 year, while passing through Molalla, I HAD to get me one of those cheeseburgers!! It's exactly as it was in the past...good sized burger, fresh, hot, cheese oozing out the side, loaded with onions, lettuce, maters, and they put a house made tartar sauce on it also. I think that house made tartar sauce is the key component here. Its subtle enough so it doesn't over power the burger, yet it adds enough of a distinct flavor for it to be noticed. **TIP** If you ask for some extra tartar sauce on the side, it makes a great dip for your fries. The fact that this place appears ran down is still there. Needs a remodel, some new paint.....needs a good amount of TLC. But dont let that deture you from a quick lunch. Wait a tick....Quick? I wont go as far as to say that it's quick...because it isn't. There's a wait at this place, which I have never had a problem with, just note that if you're in a hurry, you shouldn't stop here. If there's 1 car waiting, I will get in line. But if there's 2 cars waiting? That's a rough 15 minutes before you get to the window to order. Service was good, they got our food out to us in about 10 minutes. My daughter had a hot dog that was huge, but she said it was "Nummy!! Num Num Num!" Her exact words. Entering and exiting this place can be tricky, so be careful when exiting...I wont go into detail, but you'll see what I mean if you ever go here. I'm still a fan of Big Burger Drive-In!!

We have gone here twice since we moved to town. Milkshakes were pretty good but both times we ordered burger baskets they were just mediocre. Ingredients tasted fresh but they just didn't have flavor or anything special to write home about. Interesting that they are named "big burger" but there isn't anything big about any of the burgers we ordered. Don't get me wrong, out of the 2 burger joints in molalla I would definatly go here to fill burger cravings but nothing to rave about. Restaurant is really small and it takes quiet awhile to get orders out.

We have eaten here sooo many times and will continue to do so. This place is amazing. Reminds me of little league burgers. My only complaint is that they are NOT open Mondays therefore I cant eat there 7 days a week. Anytime family comes to visit this is the "must go to" place.
