My food was amazing on my first trip here, my only complaint was that I paid for a 1/4 lb burger and the burger was crumbled and couldn't have been more than 1/8 of a lb. I will say there was more bacon (which was delicious by the way) than burger on my bun. Lol But what I had was a delicious meal and I will be going back one of these days! :-)

Pastrami Burger and chocolate banana shake, YUM! Love the variety of burgers, and shake flavors. I'm kind of a milk shake snob, can't stand the fast-food milk shakes usually. But this is awesome! fresh banana, real ice cream! ...and the burger was perfect, juicy and messy and delicious!

FOOD: I had the 1/4lb jalapeno chipotle burger, and my wife had the 1/4lb pastrami burger and my findings are that the burgers are awesome! and not only that, I was able to hork it down while on the move, thanks to the old school burger bags that they serve them in. Fries are well prepared but nothing special and will cure a fry craving should you be having one. SERVICE: I found the people to be very pleasant and attentive. AMBIENCE: Old school 60's burger stand, walk-up order window or order inside - picnic benches outside and the whole deal - really a time warp, reminds me of the legendary Speedy Burger that used to occupy the corner of Pine and Broadway in Salem. also noteworthy: They have a ton of options and types of burgers - something for everyone and every mood. ALL IN ALL: If you dig a good american burger, stop in a get your chomp on!

Went to mikes and ordered their white cheddar bacon burger, got home no cheese on either burger sent 3 emails, and never heard anything from them! Will not be back, I feel an $8 burger should be made right and if it's not, they should at least fix the problem!

I've been eating at Mike's Drive-ins for 20+ years. I love it. I tell everyone it is a great place for burgers and shakes. I sometimes go to the Oregon City location and am always pleased with the customer service there. However, at the Milwaukie location, I feel liked I've stepped into a scene from Full Metal Jacket. Though if you can handle some abuse, you'll do just fine. The food makes going there worth it, though. Every time.

Mike's is definitely one of my favorite burger places. It can't get any better than a bacon cheeseburger, onion rings and a milkshake. I don't think there is something on the menu that I don't like. All the locations that I have been to have great food and friendly employees. They have a good happy hour too in the afternoons that lessen the price on burger baskets. Mike's is a must-eat-at whenever I am in the area.

My daughter drove clear from Salem when she was pregnant to get their peanut butter milkshakes...I can't seem to pass by without stopping for one of their fresh strawberry shakes in season....Somehow Mike's has just been able to carve out a little bit of nostalgia in our hurried lives with real food, a walk up outside window and hamburgers like dad used to make....Is their food the best, best? Maybe no, but it's Mike's! You have to go there! Not a real Portlander until you have.

More than any other place, this little drive-in remains quintessential Milwaukie to me. Can't spell 'Milwaukie' without the letters M-I-K-E...! Mike's Drive-In is a delightful trip down memory lane and frankly speaking, the 3.5 cume is a little disappointing. Is there really that huge of a difference between 3.5 and my 4 star review, you might wonder? Well to my way of thinking there is. I find myself once again wishing Yelp allowed tenth point or quarter points, this review would be alot closer to 4.5 stars. Mike's only loses points b/c of inadequate parking/dining spaces, and the reliably lengthy wait times. The place is almost always busy, I owned a home very nearby here for years, I can vouch for the place's popularity. If you call ahead and can get the person to take your order and your c.c. number by phone, that stream-lines the process considerably, but there's always new staff, most of whom usually have no clue how to run such a transaction. For a throwback drive-in, the breadth of Mike's menu isn't at all shabby. I love their buffalo burgers and especially their Gyros! Most people seem to go for the burgers and fries and of course the million and one ice cream flavors and shakes. Pumpkin was always tops for me, though I also like Peanut butter and chocolate. I also love their onion rings, deep-fried mush-rooms and--when they have 'em, zucchini or pickles! There are also Mike's in O.C. and in Sellwood, but all things being equal, this will always be the #1 Mike's for me. I keep expecting girls in roller skates to come take my order before I can even get out of my truck.... maybe someday, maybe someday...

Food which is normally great, was just ok. The only thing that was really hot and good were the tater tots. And don't ask for extra anything, because you won't get anything extra, it comes out the same. To top things off, there are online coupons available from Valpak that they choose not to honor, despite the coupon saying show the coupon on your phone, and in the fine print it states the business reserves the right to refuse mobile coupons. Not only is not "Green", I feel it gets down to how you look when come to the establishment, because it took the cashier a while to decide she wanted a printed version.

I am a huge fan! Went here for the first time this weekend and got a bacon cheeseburger and a vanilla milkshake. I snagged some of my boyfriend's fries--which were very tasty. The milkshake was just so-so. I've had better. The burger was fantastic! I loved everything about it! I am definitely going to be here a lot this summer. :)

I only tried the fish and chips (fries), so my review is only based off of that one item. The fish and the fries were definitely lacking in flavor, warmth, and quantity...especially for the high price that I paid. I love supporting local restaurants, but I honestly would rather go get a fish sandwhich from McDonalds! And I never eat there. Maybe I'll return to try their burgers...
