A Subway lunch-line that delivers value - towers of taco salad! Heaping salads, beans, sauces, cheeses upon your request. Smiles are a norm, but you could catch a disgruntled employee in an off hour. Digs: Simple setup, line of ingredients facing the customer, sometimes find dirty tables not cleaned (not sure if that's the patron or employees responsibility) Food: Specials, are throughout the week, moderate to low prices for the massive plates you are graced with, flavor is neither bland nor home-cooked authentic feeling Drink: Pop, free refills - woot Nothing special, but for what it is and the customization aspect to health or hurl it's a easy go-to for the lunch business crowd in the "Valley" area Note: Go to La Tapatia - a cheap, authentic-as-we-can-get in Medford meal

Gross... we ate here once. I will never come back! Our first night in our new place here in Oregon we wanted to celebrate. Not knowing much about the area we decided to try the Mexican restaurant near our place. My hubby got our order to go so we could eat together in the dining room. I knew it was gonna be bad as soon as I opened the box. The meat in my Carne Asada was dry and had that "I should've been thrown out 4 days ago taste." We pitched the meal and went to Carl's Jr. Instead.

Pretty awful food. Got sick after eating my meal and the taste stayed with me all day. Nothing authentic and lousy flavor. It's ridiculous that I paid the same price for this garbage burrito as I did for an amazing one in San Francisco. Then again, people give yelp reviews about how great Applebee's and Taco Bell is.. So standards are?????

Make it a point to eat here at least once a month. My friend makes sure to eat there every time she's in town.

The best Senor Sams in the valley. This place is awesome. My only complaint is that the burritos put me into a food coma after I eat one.

Ok, so I've been on a Mexican kick of late, my travels have taken me to a few good ones. Senor Sam's is one of the more interesting ones. I'm still not really sure how to react to this establishment. From the outside, it looks like a prototypical hole in the wall, usually that's a sign of good eats to me....strange as that may be to some. SO, I walk in and the menu is pretty wide ranging, as I get closer to the counter I notice that the people running the "kitchen" are also running the registers. The young woman was getting orders and stirring a huge pot of rice right behind her. She looked frazzled. The guy working with her was taking orders as well and working the microwave to heat up the food. I will say that Senor Sam's does give you quite a few options with your entree selection. Expect a larger portion. My main issue with Senor Sam's is it seems needlessly chaotic, lot's of moving parts, although they did get my order out quickly. I will have to give this place another try, even though I wasn't fan of using a microwave to heat up my food. It just didn't have that "fresh" essence I was looking for.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
