Brittney was very professional and attentive to our needs. However, three out of our four person party was fed about 7 minutes before the last. It was embarrassing. The toast with one meal wasn't even brown or toasted. The strawberry blended lemonade was nothing but ice and the mashed potatoes and gravy for one meal was luke warm. For the prices, regardless of the great service, it's not worth it to eat there!

Average, Denny's style and quality dinner., but a little higher prices. Service at 11:30am was slow.

Recently revisited Elmers again. After a fairly short absence I found the food the same, the Blueberry Pancakes which I often get were hot, good and well served. The interest of the server was thin at best, very business like, showing no real friendliness. Prices are the main issue that I want to address. Elmer's has recently raised prices substantially, especially on smaller meal items. I normally order 2 blueberry pancakes (they are small, about saucer size)and the price has been $3.99. No other frills, just two small pancakes. Now the price has been raised to $5.99 for the same plate. As a senior, I find little discount on the "Honored Guest" menu as well, so Elmers will be going lower on my choice list, as I don't want to pay their prices for more food than I can eat, and the small choices are apparently being priced up to raise average ticket price.

Giving a 2nd star because the decision on my part to come here for dinner is my fault. I've been here for breakfast and its fine. My husband and I were on a road trip and needed a quick dinner. I got chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and "vegetables." Oh my word. The side veggie was a pile of what used to be broccoli. I wasn't expecting much but it was quite literally the most disgusting and inedible side dish I've ever been served. It had freezer burn. It was white-ish. It was atrocious. I know you don't go to places like Elmer's to eat vegetables but I can't believe this was served to me. Also my side salad had mushy overly ripe tomatoes and the lettuce was something I would have thrown away, getting slimy and all that. These things really call for one star but like I said, why would I come here for dinner?? I should have ordered breakfast, I know they can pull that off.

Went here thinking that it would be just like Sheri's for breakfast food frozen and just kept on warm, and weak coffee. However when I went here the service was great my waitress wasn't pushy gave me my space and she didn't do that annoying hover thing that a lot of other restaurant servers do and if I had a question about something she would be able to tell me. Very decent coffee where it was strong but not so strong that your stomach didn't roil back at you. Overall I would go back here for breakfast in a heartbeat.

Elmer's, you did not disappoint! I hadn't been to you since early childhood (when I would order a giant stack of buttermilk pancakes while my dad blearily wiped the sleep from his eyes as we got ready to head to the airport for super early flights)... I'm much older now, and I suppose you are, too, but your fare is more than fair to this day (and only getting better, it seems). First, I would like you to know that you took my eggs benedict virginity. That avocado benedict was... Absolutely stunning. Not only visually, mind you, but gastronomically. My tastebuds were worshipping that little tangy, eggy, wonderful dish. The seasonal fruit hit the spot, as well. I also had a bite of my sister's german pancake with lemon, butter, and sugar. It was delicious. Insanely so. The atmosphere was nice, but I would say that it was a tad chilly inside! Also, our waiter/host was nice enough, but not friendly. Maybe he was just having an off day. Overall, a true delight. Thank you, Elmer's! :)

Came here for a birthday breakfast. Was dying to try the German pancake. Ordered the lingon berry version and it did not disappoint. Pancake, aka monster cake, came out super duper huge and looked intimidating at first, but the cooking process didn't produce an oily goopy mess. It was light, airy, almost crepe-y like, and had the eggy flavor I was looking forward to - total win for my taste buds :-) Only down side is - Now I'm sad because there's no place in the Bay Area (that I know of, at least) that serves German pancakes :-( anyone know of a place, please do let me know. Thank you!!! Have to mention - the coffee, OJ, and protein items: bacon (thick cut, crunchy, yummy smokiness), sausage (not nuked, juicy and cooked to perfection) and eggs (super fresh tasting) were all on point. We also had the sun "something" (can't remember the full name) omelette - with a chipotle sauce - was awesome. I don't normally like omelettes with salsa but this one was done right, and did not end up a sloppy mess, in spite of the bacon, cheese, green onions and chipotle sauce enclosed within. Kudos to the chef (or cook) who did an excellent job on our entire bday bkfast. Have this place bookmarked and will make sure to visit as often as possible (aka whenever we're in the vicinity of one).

We've been on the hunt for a breakfast joint. When we came across this place. We were seated quickly and ordered massive amounts of food. I think our eyes were bigger than our stomach! I got the California benedict with hash browns and fruit. Hubby got chicken fried steak breakfast and we shared a German pancake. Though we left full and with leftovers the quality was average. Staff was friendly and place was clean. I'm sure we'll be back.

They have a vast menu and offer something for everyone. The French toast and crepes are good. I would pass on the crab Benedict, I had it and the crab was bland and just not appetizing.

Came here specifically to try the German pancakes. The pancakes were more of a crepe texture. Good to try once but not going to order again. The four of us ordered different meals and everything was tasty and good portions

If you like flys then this is where to find them!! In the food on the table straws in your hair AND worst of all they'll say it's because a door was left open yet LOOK INSUDE THE LIGHTING FIXTURES they're full of dead flys which tells you it's a BIG BIG constant problem ! The HEALTH DEPT is blind !!! Too bad the owner of this Elmer's can't take pride in his facility ( SLOT machines on premises too) LOCK OUT GATE to restaurant WHATS THAT FOR! I can guess when lounge open people try to "use" booths!!! Disgusting and should be CLOSED DOWN! Or GET A NEW OWNER THAT WILL TAKE PRIDE IN THE ELMERS NAME!!

I was catching a flight out back home so I decided to get some food to go and hit the "Rogue Valley International Airport" hahaha everytime I say Rogue Valley and International I have to laugh. Stay focused Lex! This place is a dump. I ordered the food came in to pick it up and it is busy. Busy weekend I get it. I ask the hostess if there is a bar and she directs me back to a complete hole in the wall. In the bar I am greeted by an older gentleman who says nothing to me as I enter and hang out waiting for my food. The employee doesn't even ask for a drink order. Cool. The bar is full of druggies. There is no TV to watch the game? I see what the owner is doing here. This bar is screaming with, "We don't care about you, we don't want you to be distracted with social interaction, we want your drug money in our machines." It gets better. A waitress comes in and is eating her break food at the counter and her and the bartender start talking about a robbery that happened in this bar recently. No kidding? They continue to joke and one of them says, "Welcome to Elmers". Hmmm couldn't see that happening in this dump. I am surprised that there is no bars on the windows. So I leave the bar as quick as I can before I develop dirty film on my skin. I go back to the front and lo and behold there is my food. Sitting on the counter. I ask the hostess how long has this been waiting here? She says not long. I open it to check the contents. All of the food is ice cold. I have to catch a flight with my family and bring them this to eat? I ask for ranch for my kids cold chicken strips. The hostess brings back ranch that was the size of a pool. (I posted a pic). When I left out to the parking lot I see one of the Elmers cooks leaving to his truck. He looked like he was high on drugs. No I am serous. His eyes were blood shot red. Elmers needs to drug test this cook and its bar guests. I wanted to confront him about my experience but I was seriously afraid. I got in the car and checked my sandwhich and there was no chicken, it was slopply put together, and tasted like it had been sitting for a while. (I posted a pic). I know this is long one this time. Sorry this place gets the pent up frustration. I am sure I caught this restaurant on a bad day. But honestly there won't a second chance.

I finally tried this place.... I have to admit the food was much better then I had expected- I had the northwest omelette and it was really very good- the side options were limited but I opted for a potato pancake- it was hash browns in the shape of a potato pancake... um... okay.... I would still give it more stars but the entire reason I've avoided this restaurant and can't give them a better review because of it... is the fact that they have a purple parrot slum bar in this location- it's been robbed before and is always frequented by druggies and other various types of sketchy people.... it doesn't feel safe and I'd prefer not to park my car outside of it- close the tweaker nest and I'll change it to four stars- until then I certainly wouldn't take my grandma here

Very disappointing. We took my elderly father-in-law out for lunch, and as he wanted dessert, we were disappointed to see there were only three dessert items to choose from. One of them, the apple pie, was dreadfully undercooked, the apples were hard and so was the crust. Dad mentioned this to the server, but nothing was done. My daughter had the chicken-fried steak, and she remarked how everything on her plate looked like it was microwaved from frozen. Probably true. I had the Northwest Skillet, which was only okay, nothing to recommend. And my husband had the fish and chips; the fish was okay, but the coleslaw was very coarse so he didn't care for it. The food was only so-so, I understand the type of place this is so you don't expect too much, but they really need to look at the acoustics in the room. The din was unbearable - to the point one could not have a conversation without shouting, and this made worse by the fact that the music was turned way up. Why such loud music in a restaurant? I used to come into Elmer's for breakfast ages ago, but haven't been here for over 20 years. I won't be back. If you are looking for a better diner/coffee shop in Medford, go up 62 to Spicer's in the shopping center with the Lowe's and the Office Depot.

Food is always great. Brianna our server was very attentive. This place is so much better than our new Denny's. And very friendly and will answer your questions. Hubby says the servers are cute lol. U leave full. I'm never disappointed. When I go there. I like Denny's. But very expensive. I and hubby's ticket was under 26.00 and the portions was huge. But where we sat had cold air blowing on us that was my only complaint.

Never know what you're going to get! I have gotten take out here quite a few times. I'm usually satisfied with the service. Today I decided to have breakfast here. While making my order the waitress just started walking away, I had to continue giving her my order while she was walking away from me. When I got my food, the order was completely wrong!!! I guess she wasn't listening! I found that to be incredibly rude! I may decide to eat somewhere else when I am in town on business, every couple weeks, from now on.

Everytime that we come to Medford we eat breakfast here before we head home. This was the first time that I was not excited about the experience. Cody was our server and this was the second visit when he waited on us. I believe that he did his job good, but not great. For one thing he never smiled the entire time that he served us, but as I looked around to other servers, I didn't see any of them smiling to there guests either. When our coffee was brought and we put the cream in it, we noticed that we didn't have any spoons to stir it with. So when he came back, I told him and a few seconds later another server brought all of our silverware to the table, laid it on the edge, turned around and walked away. He didn't even say anything to us. Our eggs were way undercooked, but the rest of the meal was good. I think that a person could make a mistake in food preparation so the eggs weren't a big deal, but a smile can go a long way to help overlook other issues. A server should look enthusiastic while taking care of our needs.

The place was pretty empty when we came in and was seated quickly, that was the best part of the visit. I asked for Strawberry Lemonade and she brought straight lemonade, when I asked for the correct drink I could tell she was miffed. My Mom and I ordered the same omelet, mine without onions that looked lovely in the picture on the menu, and my mom wanted extra crispy hashbrowns. I told the waitress I have a wheat allergy (actually Celiac, but allergy works better with waitstaff), and asked for fruit instead of bread, and verified no pancake batter in the eggs like IHOP does. We were brought out the saddest looking omelets, and they had put the biscuit on top of the omelet. Then we realized they had reversed the hashbrowns, and asked for a plate to make it easier to switch, instead she huffed and took them away to have the kitchen correct. When brought back realized the omelets were also switched. By that time I could tell she was annoyed for whatever reason and didnt want to ask for my plate to be remade since the biscuit had now been touching my food. I didnt get my regular reaction to contamination but have been sick in the 9 days since then. Do not go here, especially if you have any food issues - allergy or autoimmune.

On a friends recommendation we tried Elmers for dinner in Medford. Our waiter Kenny was friendly and attentive. I ordered fish & chips which was excellent. My husband ordered chicken fried steak...his go to test for any restaurant...Elmers passed with flying colors! Good food at a good price. We'll go again.

Came to have breakfast for lunch and it was yummy. I've been coming to Elmer's for years, including Portland and Medford and have never had a bad meal. Today it was chicken fried steak and hash browns with eggs. It was all tasty. We then had a side of triple berry crepes for dessert.

We stopped in on our way north since we were staying at a nearby hotel. Our waiter, Mike, was very good. He answered our questions and when we asked for recommendations, he broke it down by type of food we were thinking about. He checked in on us just the right amount of times (not too much, not too little). I had the Avocado Benedict with a side of fruit. It was delicious, the fruit consisted of bananas, watermelon, and grapes, they were a good texture and didn't taste frozen. The Avocado Benedict was flavorful and just the right amount of food. My dad had the Chicken Bacon Ranch salad, he made the mistake of ordering a Full instead of Lite, it was a ton of food, but delicious. My mom had the halibut with rice and veggies. The fish was great, but the rice and veggies were lackluster. All in all, it's a decent place to stop in, like Denny's, I would recommend sticking to breakfast items. The staff was good, the place was clean, and the food overall was good.

We came across Elmer's Restaurant in Medford, OR by accident and I am glad that we did. I had the Albacore and my husband had the salmon. The only issue is that we like a lot of veggies, and the vegetable portion was very small. We really liked the blender strawberry lemonade. We chose not to squeeze the lemon in the drink.

Horrible service! Felt almost intentional. Im actually really understanding when it comes to slow service especially when its busy, but it wasn't. The manager stood around poking his ass while the servers ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. Why?? Im not exactly sure. They all had 3 tables max. I ordered chicken fried steak. When she brought it out to me it had a dollop of gravy. Enough to cover a quarter of it. I might have not cared so much but the steak was chewy and bland, so it really needed to be smothered in it to be somewhat edible. I asked for more gravy. I waited, and waited, and waited. Never came. In fact, she never came back until I had to flag her down for the check. Not even a "how is everything" anyway, proceeded to pay at the register where the manager was still hanging out. The cashier took my card, rang me up, I signed, she took. Thats it. Not a word. Didn't make for a great start to my day. Doesn't feel good to be treated as if your just an inconvenience. frustrating.

Elmer's restaurants can be hit or miss. The Medford location is decent, but nothing spectacular. They are often very busy at peak meal times and the waitstaff, as others have noted, are overworked and cannot keep up with the demand. Outside of peak times they do a good job. Breakfast at Elmer's is good, but again, nothing spectacular. Nice portions, reasonable taste. For lunch I like to get the french dip, with swiss cheese and a cup of Ivar's clam chowder. I usually eat half the sandwich and take the rest home, as the portion is more than enough. The salads on the menu always look better than what you actually get. Like many restaurants these days Elmer's uses the prepackaged ice berg salad mix with dried out carrot matchsticks and a sprinkling of purple cabbage. If you know this going in then you aren't disappointed, but if you are looking for a nice fresh salad you will be. Elmer's has a lot to choose from, their prices are average, and the food is as well. I think if you go to Elmer's knowing what to expect it is fine, if you are looking for a fabulous meal, well you are likely to be disappointed.

Do yourself a favor if you're from out of town and are looking for a place to eat -- just head down to Ashland, or keep on driving up to Eugene. As a couple of previous reviewers mentioned, bland doesn't even begin to describe the food here. You could empty out your salt & pepper shakers and the food would still taste like moist, damp cardboard. I've often said that breakfast is a tough meal to screw up, since it consists largely of staple foods. Somehow, Elmer's manages to do even that. Hash browns are totally limp and flavorless. Gravy tastes like the roux was made from Elmer's glue, and not anything edible. There's a dearth of good food in Medford and southern Oregon in general. Knowing how packed out places such as this get, that's no surprise. What decent restaurant is going to bother opening its doors here when people's tastes are obviously sated by such utterly bland fare?

    (1)
  • Art M.

Careful! not all Elmers are the same. The Medford restaurant is a good one. The food is above average for this type restaurant. We were here during the busiest time of the day on the busiest day of the week. The service was better than we expected. Kathy took good care of us. We were well satisfied.

:( I hate this place. The food is so disgusting. The waitress told me the chicken sausage has pork in it, not sure if that's true? Charged more for "fresh" strawberries which were frozen. And the one time I ordered something besides breakfast, a grilled cheese sandwich, it was cold and overly salty. The fries were frozen. The wait staff is loud and obnoxious. I hate this place.

This place hasn't changed in at least 25 years. It's not the greatest, but they offer a single menu item I can't find at home: Dutch-oven pancakes (also known as "german pancakes"). A little butter, a little lemon and a little powdered sugar and these things are good to go! Otherwise: yeah, I'd probably pass.

After a personal call from the manager today, I'm revising my review. He assured me that our concern was addressed within 30 minutes of our leaving and that the entire staff was instructed during a staff meeting to not block the fire exits again. I'm willing to visit this restaurant again, based on his phone call today. That's just good business.

my family and i went to elmer's a couple of days ago, and we where quite happy with how we where served and the state of the facility was very good. my mom had a dungeness crab salad with bacon crumbles, she said the crab was fresh and the salad was a good portion. i had an omlet with sausage, ham, and bacon with peppers and chedder cheese, it originally came with jack but i asked them to change it, which they where fine with. my dad had a filet of fish with rice and vegetables. he said that the rice was well cooked and the fish was fresh and well seasoned. he commented that the vegetables where very fresh and cooked not to much. the meals where brought out in a sufficient amount of time, and the trainee that served us was very well looked after and took care of our table well. the only thing that i did not enjoy and i'm being picky about this is that our other waitress was fake and our neighbor tables where a bit loud and roudy. other than that, the restaurant was good.

Maybe I've just gone on good days (been here twice), but I LOVE it. I've had the ham and cheese omelette and the Willamette omelette and both times, it was delish. The ham chunks were bigger than I would have preferred, but still good. The Willamette was freakin' awesome, very fresh, and nothing was greasy. But the best part is the PANCAKES! Oh holy balls, they're ridiculously good. I crave them often (although, I am pregnant lol). The decaf is nice and strong without tasting burnt. We had the same waitress each time and she was very sweet. I will definitely be back, and I will DESTROY some pancakes OMG :)

Oh my god. Oh my god. I came here for dinner after a long drive. It was near my hotel, and it was open, which was really all that I was looking for. I should have set my sights higher, or just went to McDonald's. McD's would have tasted better. If cleanliness is next to godliness, then Elmer must be in one of the deepest circles of hell. The carpet had black splotches all over it. There was food all over the floor -- fries, mashed potatoes, bread, gravy. I was lucky enough to be seated at the table next to the kitchen, and the same standards of non-cleaning were applied in there as well. The counters in the kitchen were crusted with dried food. When a waitress spilled a soda on the counter and floor, no attempt was made to wipe it up. And the food ... oh, the food. Someone else called it bland in their review, but that's giving it too much credit. Bland is something that this food could only aspire to. I tried to add salt and pepper in an attempt to give it some flavor, but the food somehow managed to shake off my attempts. I think I could have upended the whole salt shaker onto my plate and not had it make a difference. Of course, I was the youngest patron in the restaurant by a good 40 years, so perhaps old people aren't looking for food that is edible and served on clean plates.

Never eat at a restaurant that doesn't post it's drink prices on the menu. Even the waitress didn't know the price, or the reason, of a drink since the computer does the work. Ordering blindly will potentially shock you when you get the bill and see how disproportionately priced the drinks are!

I had the Farmers Omelette, full of meat and chunks of peppers and onions that tasted fresh and flavorful. The waitress was cheerful and most importantly she was quick to refill my coffee, something I rarely get. I've only been here for breakfast, delicious all around.

I ate lunch at "Elmer's Restaurant" in Medford, OR recently. It was my first time there. In fact it was the first "Elmer's" that I ever ate at. I loved the decor of the place. Very homestead like setting. The food and service was good as well. Not quite like Medford, Oklahoma but it will do.

Awful food; long wait; questionable service; mistakes with no expedited rectification; don't do it - don't eat here. It took 15-minutes from the time we were seated until a waitperson ventured by to take our selection. That was a warning sign. 24-minutes later, the food arrived. Both orders were incorrect (one omelet was ordered with egg whites; the other request - simple bacon and eggs - was reversed: the eggs were "well done," i.e., hard, and the hashbrowns were undercooked.). We sent the omelet back and instead of expediting a new one, the waitpersons made excuses for the next 22-minutes about how the kitchen was busy and, "It's almost ready . . . " By now, we'd invested too much time to leave - and anywhere we'd go, we'd have to wait. Eventually, the omelet arrived. But the waitresses took little or no note that the bacon and eggs hadn't been touched. Not sure they cared. They were too busy. We never saw the manager. I assume it was the guy who looked like Elmer Fudd, who was too greedily taking money to worry about service and customer satisfaction. There are better places around. Especially down the road in Ashland. Skip this place - unless you want iffy service, and sad food that takes a long time to arrive.

We always look for places to eat that are not chains, that have a variety of items on the menu from which to choose and Elmer's fit the bill on all counts! In fact, there were too many choices that we could hardly decide on a single item. We were seated by the hostess next to a family with a small screeching child, so we got up and moved. That was the only negative. I was drawn in by the "fresh strawberry season" offerings but opted for the Avocado Benedict instead. The hollandaise sauce was perfect! We live in Los Angeles where we have many choices of excellent restaurants. We wish we lived closer so we could come back to Elmer's more often than the couple of times a year we visit Medford. We look forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu!

mmm mmm comfort food, conveniently located across the street from Shiloh Inn, in Medford - the perfect half-way stopping point on my drive up to Portland, from SF. A warm and cozy environment; super quick, efficient and personable service. Great portions for the price and a delicious cappuccino! *Dish/Beverage photos added to business listing. I never heard of Elmer's' but as soon as we hit this one up, it seemed like there was an an Elmer's restaurant in every other city on the way up to Portland! The majority of their locations are in Oregon (others in Washington, Idaho, Montana and three in S. CA: Palm Springs, Indio and Oceanside). Oh, and no sales tax in Oregon, baby! *I'd compare this to a step above our Denny's restaurants and will def. visit here again on my next Portland road trip - soon I hope!

Don't eat here if you are planning on catching a flight immediately afterward. The food was terrible and caused serious GI distress. Miserable way to start a trip out of town. The best thing we got was the grapes my two-year-old got, and I'm sure that had nothing to do with the restaurant.

Went there this morning after the breakfast rush hour. Ordered a Dutch baby with a berry sauce, which undoubtably delayed the delivery of breakfast for the others: allow extra time. The server advised that the berries were not fresh, but frozen. The Dutch baby was perfect: crisp, hot, thin, not typical for most breakfast places. The berries were a bit of a disappointment since the strawberries were still frozen. I'd go back, but would order something more simple if in a time crunch.

We went here for breakfast about a week ago. I ordered the strawberry waffles which were delicious!! The scrambled eggs, however, were of the flavorless, overly-processed variety. Our waitress was also really scatter-brained, but she was atleast nice and apologetic. It felt a lot like a diner to me, and for that reason, I expected the food to come out quickly, but it took a little while...The A/C was also cranked way up, which was uncomfortable. Even though it had its drawbacks, the food (minus the eggs) was pretty tasty and filling.

Cobb salad was filled with fresh tasty ingredients. Better quality than comparable salads I've had in much more expensive restaurants

the service is usually very good, especially given the crowd they have to deal with. it's a very popular breakfast and lunch spot around here, but you can usually get a seat quicker than the packed waiting area would lead you to believe. unfortunately, I've come to recognize that popularity in Medford is no way to judge taste. the food is mediocre... if you chance upon the best stuff. most everything, including salads, has a weight to it that will keep you full, if not feeling a little sick. if you like Denny's, you'll probably like Elmer's. I don't like Denny's.

Whenever I am in Oregon I have to get a Dutch Baby (German Pancake)!! Elmer's has the best Dutch Baby's cooked to perfection. My husband got a waffle which was also cooked perfect!! Being from California I don't get to Elmer's that often but when I do get a chance to go there I never pass it up.

Elmer's is a popular breakfast destination. All the standard fare is reasonably priced and cooked well, if not inventively. Coffee is above average for a chain restaurant. Service is okay - considering the wait staff appears to be overworked. Despite this our waiter was friendly and attentive.

My husband and I have ate here a few times, always for breakfast and no matter what we order or how busy the place gets, we are always satisfied with the food and the service. We plan to give their lunch and dinner options a shot in the future. The prices are fair and the food is yummy!

Careful! not all Elmers are the same. The Medford restaurant is a good one. The food is above average for this type restaurant. We were here during the busiest time of the day on the busiest day of the week. The service was better than we expected. Kathy took good care of us. We were well satisfied.

Came to have breakfast for lunch and it was yummy. I've been coming to Elmer's for years, including Portland and Medford and have never had a bad meal. Today it was chicken fried steak and hash browns with eggs. It was all tasty. We then had a side of triple berry crepes for dessert.

Oh my god.

Don't eat here if you are planning on catching a flight immediately afterward. The food was terrible and caused serious GI distress. Miserable way to start a trip out of town. The best thing we got was the grapes my two-year-old got, and I'm sure that had nothing to do with the restaurant.

I'd go back, but would order something more simple if in a time crunch.

my family and i went to elmer's a couple of days ago, and we where quite happy with how we where served and the state of the facility was very good. my mom had a dungeness crab salad with bacon crumbles, she said the crab was fresh and the salad was a good portion. i had an omlet with sausage, ham, and bacon with peppers and chedder cheese, it originally came with jack but i asked them to change it, which they where fine with. my dad had a filet of fish with rice and vegetables. he said that the rice was well cooked and the fish was fresh and well seasoned. he commented that the vegetables where very fresh and cooked not to much. the meals where brought out in a sufficient amount of time, and the trainee that served us was very well looked after and took care of our table well. the only thing that i did not enjoy and i'm being picky about this is that our other waitress was fake and our neighbor tables where a bit loud and roudy. other than that, the restaurant was good.

Even though it had its drawbacks, the food (minus the eggs) was pretty tasty and filling.

the service is usually very good, especially given the crowd they have to deal with. it's a very popular breakfast and lunch spot around here, but you can usually get a seat quicker than the packed waiting area would lead you to believe. unfortunately, I've come to recognize that popularity in Medford is no way to judge taste. the food is mediocre... if you chance upon the best stuff. most everything, including salads, has a weight to it that will keep you full, if not feeling a little sick. if you like Denny's, you'll probably like Elmer's. I don't like Denny's.

Whenever I am in Oregon I have to get a Dutch Baby (German Pancake)!! Elmer's has the best Dutch Baby's cooked to perfection. My husband got a waffle which was also cooked perfect!! Elmer's is a popular breakfast destination. All the standard fare is reasonably priced and cooked well, if not inventively. Coffee is above average for a chain restaurant. Service is okay - considering the wait staff appears to be overworked. Despite this our waiter was friendly and attentive.

We have visited Elmer's several times including holidays, always good food and the staff is always pleasant and professional. Good location, good atmosphere, we have been going back for over a year.

Careful! not all Elmers are the same.

We were looking for a good breakfast and were thrilled to have found this place. We had the French Toast and Seafood omelette...can't wait to come back.

Awesome German pancakes! They gave our party of 17 great service. Very old school restaurant. Perfect place if you are 80 years old.

My husband and I have ate here a few times, always for breakfast and no matter what we order or how busy the place gets, we are always satisfied with the food and the service. We plan to give their lunch and dinner options a shot in the future. The prices are fair and the food is yummy!

Went in to the lounge was only there for about 5 minutes. As far as the accomodations in the lounge area it was fine, it was just not a place where I would spend more than 5 mnutes.

Elmers has a great environment with some of the best German pancakes I've had with high-quality thick bacon. Check out their fireplace.
