The Best Ruben in the world. I know because I have eaten Ruben's everywhere and these are the Best. All the rest of their menu is great too ( my wife tells me) But I can't get past the Ruben's. Gary

Loved the place, very clean and friendly staff. Kind of out of the way, but if you're wine tasting in the area it's convenient! I had the bacon wrapped asparagus! killer! and the French onion soup, which is one of the best bowls (of my favorite soup) that I have had in years! I'll be back next time I am in the area!

This is the sister to Barrel 47 restaurant in Carlton. I've been awaiting a new business to go in this location since the demise of Cafe Uncorked. Their menu is the same as Barrel 47 and they have many tasty offerings. On this day we had the turkey club (crazy right after Thanksgiving but very good) which comes with shoestring fries that have rosemary and cheese sprinkled on them. We also tried out their barrel salad which had cheese, nuts, and cranberries in it. All in all very tasty. They have some local McMinnville AVA wines in here so give them a try. Maysara is represented here as well as many others. I look forward to going back to this handy stop on the road to the beach. Hours posted as of yesterday are: Wed-Thur 9am to 3pm Fri-Sun 9a to 9pm Closed Mon and Tue

Just smelling the food from the easy parking lot was enough to beckon me in! Friendly and attentive staff. Service is fast. 1:30 on Saturday, I ordered the French dip, which is really an amazing prime rib sandwich. My friend ordered the chicken fried steak. The prime rib is succulent, the steak is phenomenal, and the home fries or shoe string fries I had are so freakin good. Definitely worth the drive. I'm going to become a regular. Try and beat me to it for checkins, this place is tops on my radar for food and drink!

Stopped on the way out to Lincoln City for lunch. Not a lot of dining choices off highway 18, so BarrelE18teen was a welcome sight. The restaurant is next to the Lawrence Gallery and offers a comfortable wide open dining space. They offer 4-5 beers on tap from local breweries. I had the beef dip which was actually a prime rib sandwich, very tasty, although the dip was a little salty. The co pilot had the chicken sandwich on rosemary encrusted bread with melted cheese. The skinny french fries were hot and sprinkled with grated cheese. They have a good breakfast menu and serve prime rib and steak dinners on Friday and Saturday nights. Full bar with wine and good draft beer selections at reasonable prices. Stephanie, our server was prompt and informative. Good choice for lunch.

After perusing the offerings at the nearby Lawrence Gallery, this converted gas station with rustic hand-hewn tables and a cozy ambience is a great place to enjoy a draft brew and some great pub food. The 3 cheese fondue was served with a fresh baked crusty baguette. The Monte Cristo had a bit too much ham and turkey which kept it from getting completely heated through, but was served with some of the best shoestring fries I've ever enjoyed. Service was attentive and accommodating. They had no problem with splitting our sandwich order and even provided 2 different jams (raspberry and blackberry, both excellent) to accompany. We'll be back for dinner to try their prime rib.

We have eaten here 4 times before. We stopped by for a quick dinner last night and the food wasn't up to par...the food came out cold and the orders were wrong. I tried to explain to our waitress but she was too busy to care. We paid the bill and won't be going back which is too bad since they are near us.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
