Kind of a dingy joint, and a bit shady, left my wallet on the counter in front of the cash register one night and when I try to get it back they said they didn't see it which is questionable but it's not very clean and the food is too salty and not all that good unless you're drunk, then it's great.

I like the food, but the service is not good. One time they messed up on my order and another time the lady got annoyed when I asked for more salsa. I didn't like the eye rolling from the person in the back.

As far as Mexican restaurants in Salem...there is a fuck ton. This one is the most convenient of them all. It has a drive thru and and its not slow. The food is great. My typical order is a full order of carne asada Nachos and tater tots. The portions are great and it is delicious. Their Quesadillas and burritos are bomb as well. I highly recommend this place.

(3/3/15- 1:30pm) NASTY FOOD and I mean that. Got a chicken burrito and my girl friend got a breakfast burrito, let me start with mine. When they say chicken burrito that's exactly what you get just chicken well I think it was, no rice, no beans well you get the point the burrito was naked just some nasty red sauce not even cheese. I took one bite and it went right back in the bag. Now for my girl friend her breakfast burrito was watery so bad that after she chucked it in the bag it leaked weird runny STUFF all over the car, now this is a burrito we are talking about yes disgusting. I will certainly not go back.

I am so done. I tried one more time. I asked for a breakfast burrito on spinach tortilla with...and she interrupted, barking "Do you want bacon or ham?" I said I don't want bacon, I don't want ham, I want potatoes instead of the meat. I've gotten this many times, as various MG's. She couldn't understand. I tried again. She then said, "I don't know what you want." So I gave up and said never mind. Never again.

I will just start out by saying the food is just as good here as any Muchas Gracias in Salem/Keizer. I could probably eat MG everyday. Its addicting. That isn't to say they probably don't have their off days, but everytime I've visited this Keizer location, the food is fantastic. Personally, Ive never experienced any digestion problems the day after and felt just fine after eating at any MG. What's NOT fantastic, is the HORRIBLE, rude and disrespectful service. The intercom at the drive thru is a complete nightmare. It has just two volumes. Off and super, duper loud which blasts your eardrums. Then they forget to ask some minor detail like what kind of drink do you want with your 4.99 daily special or what kind of beef do you want in your enchilada. Then you have to explain it to them at the window and they barely comprehend English. When you get to the window, they practically throw the food at you. Its humiliating. My suggestion is to find another MG with better service. There are plenty to be had in the Salem area.

Something I've come to realize is not all Muchas Gracias joints are the same. Like any stable fast food franchise (e.g. McDonalds), the menus will undoubtedly be slightly different. This mini Keizer location offers an more extensive list of burritos and tacos where the Portland ones do not. It might just be a Salem thing as far I'm concerned. Do yourself a favor and get an Oregon Burrito, which consists of pieces of carne asada steak, cheese, eggs, potato, bacon with a splash of crema and guacamole. It's essentially a mean breakfast burrito, one that makes me salivate each time I come here. They've done a pretty good job here of maximizing the space for seating and the parking is a lot bigger than it looks. The drive through is very tight, almost claustrophobic for cautious drivers, but totally manageable. And of course, like the rest of the other nearby Muchas locations, this heavenly Mexican wonder is 24 hours. 5 stars for my favorite Mexican chain in the US.

Came in and ordered the Oregon Burrito with a side of Muchas Fries (tater tots). It was super hot and very tasty. I would definitely go back and order it again! The Oregon Burrito had potato's, salsa and steak in it. It was very good, the burrito was very large and by the end I was stuffed. I also got Muchas Fries which are tater tots with a Lawry's type of seasoning on them. I love Lawry's seasoning salt so I was pretty excited to see it on a restaurant's fries. The lady who took my order was quick and friendly. I got my food very quick and was in and out. Would definitely eat here again.

No, No, No. lackluster food, normally way too cold, if you try to customize an order even if it's for a food allergy, they speak in Spanish and laugh back and forth between the cooks and the cashier. The customer service is awful. They charge you extra for everything. Also, what kind of Mexican restaurant doesn't serve Coke? Just Pepsi... Avoid this place at all costs, Even a Taco Bell dumpster has better Mexican food.

So-so food with no service ethic ... No Gracias! I've patronized various Muchas Gracias locations for years, including Muchas Gracias Keizer. I came to expect over time that sometimes the consequence for consuming the cheap (not inexpensive) and lackluster food (typically consumed in a dining area of questionable cleanliness) was gastrointestinal issues for the next day or so. It became a running joke with a group of us who regularly met there. Not worth knocking the restaurant in my eyes. It is what it is. But after my last experience at the Keizer Muchas Gracias with my daughter, I'm no longer laughing. In Muchas Keizer there are a few small toy vending machines for the kids. One particular machine did not expend the product for my 7-year-old. After a second attempt by yours truly, still no product. After bringing this to the staff's attention, and offering to show them where the machine was jammed in case there was any question of honesty involved, I was told that I would have to call the phone number on the machine to request a refund. I clarified incredulously "for $0.50?" and the woman responded in the affirmative. With my daughter now intently observing how I would handle the situation, I decided to call the number while finishing my meal (I certainly would have taken the hint that I wasn't getting my money back and let it go if my daughter was not involved). I know this is probably a big surprise to many, but I was unable to reach anyone at the vending machine company and was forced to leave a voice message requesting a refund with my information. I informed the staff of this, and again asked if I we could get a refund from them due to our inability to reach anyone at the number they had directed us to. The answer was no and that they would get into a lot of trouble from the manager if they did. I politely told them that I hoped that I would hear back from the vending machine company, then. Well, it has been over a year and we still have not received a refund or even a returned call. Now, am I whining about losing $0.50? No, that isn't the point. I'm not even going to go into what kind of example this is to set for a child. The point is that I'm very, very concerned that I trusted a restaurant that lacks such a basic service ethic with preparing my food and ultimately with the my health. If they are willing to treat a father and his 7-year-old this way to save a paltry $0.50, I'm very concerned about what other corners this restaurant may be cutting to save a few cents here and there. Perhaps this helps to explain those past gastrointestinal issues? Keep our $0.50 Muchas Gracias Keizer. You were given multiple opportunities to do the right thing but you decided to step over a dollar to save a penny. We won't be eating at your establishment again. No service ethic ... No Gracias!

The food at Muchas is always pretty good, especially for the price, though the service is often spotty. Don't come here if you're looking for ambience. You'd be better off holding your ear to the checkout at a Wal-Mart. Great for a quick and late snack that isn't quite fast food.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
