I want to like this place because the family that runs it is very friendly and the mom is super sweet. I come here a lot because I work close by. The hot food is, in a word, nasty. The orange chicken is basically a deep fried meatball with no flavor (actually, almost a dog foody flavor) and the chow mein was absolutely tasteless. Egg rolls are the greasiest you'll find. Every other hot food item I've tried has been just plain bad. The sandwiches are more mediocre than Subway (which is down the street) but in a pinch they're fine. All that said, I still go in a few days a week for a can of Diet Coke. $1, in and out. 3 star convenience.

Decent "Subway" style deli. Nothing too terrific, nothing terrible.

I've worked at the DA's office since the beginning of June and have eaten here about 15 times. Need I say more? Medium club with yellow cheese, no mayo, oil and vinegar, lettuce, pickles, pepporicini, olives, and both color peppers. The lady that works there doesn't need to ask me what I want anymore.

I seriously have yet to figure out why this place is named what it's named. Maybe they have a speak easy in the back where people play illegal gambling games and do shots of Whiskey? I don't see how the place we county working stiffs all call "that salad/chicken place" is named what it's named. Nonetheless, when I finished an early morning meeting this morning and realized I hadn't had breakfast and it was 11, I immediately thought "salad place." and lo and behold there was a parking spot out front!! ( it was early, see) and there was plenty of terriyaki chicken and the salad bar wasn't raided yet. If you go at noon, there's no parking, typically a long slow line, and there isn't usually avocado left or the person in front of you gets the last piece. I have learned this from sad experience. I filled my styrofoam container ( still sorry, Earth) with terriyaki chicken pieces ( boneless, skinless thighs I think), some salad greens, beets, cucumbers, red bellls, an avocado chunk, sunflower seeds, carrot slivers, and blue cheese dressing. It cost $6.50. The salad bar and hot bar is 6.49 a pound. If you want to stay on the cheap side stay away from heavy stuff. I learned that the hard way, too. This was an Atkins/Weight watchers/paleo friendly lunch, but there are plenty of carby options for lunch, too. And they make sandwiches to order ( Although I'd rather go elsewhere for that). Hauled it back to my desk and was fueled for paperwork. The salad/terriyaki place serves it's purpose. Again.

Huge sandwiches for $5.65. They don't use high end meats and they don't have many options, but they have plenty of other toppings to make things interesting. Like most places these days they will toast it up for you if you ask. The bread can be dry sometimes but they usually do a good job. This place is near the county courthouse and gets pretty busy at the lunch hour, filling with jurors, lawyers, and cops. Despite the crowds, the workers do a good job at least attempting to accommodate you. They have a salad bar and a few hot dishes like teriyaki chicken in a pay by weight bar that sometimes get in the way of the made to order sandwich area, but I can deal with it. A good place for a cheap sandwich and a nice family run business.
