I used to order delivery from this location for about two years (2010-2012) because I love Papa John's Pizza. However, something changed in late 2012 and the quality declined quickly. I received several wrong orders, but did not complain because hey, it's Pizza. Unfortunately, the pizza I got was horrible. The quality of ingredients is now poor, the service went south, and the delivery time inceased. I stopped ordering from them in January 2013, so maybe things have changed. I won't know because I now patronize Pizza Schmitza around the corner.

I've been hanging with this brood who love chains for their consistency, perceived value and tastiness. No amount of cajoling will get them off of this kick. Being polite, I roll with it. So I have been eating at places that I would never would have thought I'd eat at again after surviving my twenties. Most, if not all of America knows of Papa John's; this review is more about where PJ's sits in the world of convenient food nowadays. Last I heard, John was shouting at the working classes (namely his staff) that he wished them expunged rather than provide livable wages or insurance. This, I'm sure, while he sat poolside in his very unattractive mansion in Florida. I toddled in after placing my online order. I saw four cars ready for delivery, this on Super Bowl Sunday. I was greeted, all in unison as I walked up to the counter. Gosh, I wish people would stop doing that. I always twitch and it takes a moment or two to gather my wits. We spent $39 on a large pizza, 14" is what they claim this gossamery pie is, and I am sure it was, but it sure as hell did not seem nor weight like a large. Little, itty, bitty toppings. It looked like our pie had been sitting there a bit. I did give them an extra ten minutes before I arrived, figuring they would be slammed, which they were not. For my picture posted here, we slathered some of that butter sauce they provide on the pizza, like lip gloss for its close up. They still put a single pepperoncini accompaniment, with the butter garlic sauce, the later, a guilty pleasure for many. How many pepperoncinis do they go through? What percentage are heaved quickly into the trash? I could find no statistic for this triviality. We had the cheesy bread sticks with bacon and served with marinara. This appears to be a small pizza with cheese and bacon bits. We also indulged ourselves with a small order of buffalo wings. This comes with ranch sauce. We skipped delivery, a $3.95 extra to John and whatever you give to the driver as a tip extra. This fed two plus me. For all of my joking, I eat little. You get my point, this was a ten dollar meal each. Was it good? No, you could have done much, much better with a bigger, fresher pizza to cook yourself at Papa Murphy's. The pizza bread stick thingy was pretty good. The marinara sauce really is pretty tasty. I've never understood buffalo wings. This had a pretty mild hot sauce, but it didn't have that awful rubbery texture of most. Give me raw wings, cooked with nothing more than salt & pepper, served with Tabasco chipotle or Tapatio So. Mr. P. Johns seems to be squeezing the food costs in the worst way. Large pizzas that are not. Toppings that were the size of kitty chow. The staff seems happy. People still order the food. I'm sure it is all much tastier with a lot of booze. Sober? Notsomuch. Pass, like a football quarterback.

I want to start with the fact that I like papa johns but one has a staffing problem. Delivery time has been late everything. On avg 20+ mins. I'm ok with the time but late delivery leads to cold pizza. I like papas products but I don't like cold pizza. I might have to go somewhere else.

Took forever to deliver one pizza, this place is a joke next time I'll get dominos. They said the pizza would be here in 30 to forty minutes here I'm waiting an hour and a half after that and still no pizza, why am I paying so much for this crap?! This is ridiculous!

We were met pleasantly and quickly. I told the man I was not use to ordering at "fast food" he guided me thru with 2 pizzas, bread sticks, and some yummy cinnapie. I was told it would be about 14 min. After 25 I asked the "manager" how much longer , she got my name and look on a shelf and picked up my order. WHAT HAPPENED TO SAYING IT WAS READY? I asked how long had it been sitting there? She said a couple of minutes only. Handed all four boxes without a Sorry, Thank You, Come Again... or anything. My tip I left earlier just was regretted. WHAT LOUSY SERVICE. I rated this because the pizza was good otherwise 1 star.

Gave them a second try a couple weeks ago and I forgot to update my review. Anyways, it seems that it was more our choice of a new pizza flavor combo that ended up in a bad experience. This time around, no frills, the usual chicken-black olive-green pepper and mushroom pizza we love and a 2L Pepsi. This time, we got the pizza we were craving! Did carry-out because we don't believe in paying delivery charges when we can get it ourselves, so still can't say anything about that. Service was good, we ordered online and passed by after 30 minutes and got our pizza. Still am annoyed by how small the pizza sizes are here in Oregon, the large is the same size as a medium on the east coast and costs like a large in the east. =( What the hell Oregon? Why u so much????

4 stars is a rather ringing endorsement for any chain franchise, and this certainly isn't to imply PJP's is within striking distance of all time greatest pie. This one is all about, "In our hour of direst need, when the walking dead simply would not stop coming through our doors and swelling our triage and none of the staff were getting any breaks/lunches, several boxes of Papa John's pizza magically appeared in our midst. And we intrinsically understood that it was so very, very good." Sometimes, it really is true: If ya can't have the one ya want, Honey, love the one you're with. Love the one you're with. Doo-doo doo-doo doo-doo doo-doo! Bonus: their marinara sauce doesn't incite GERD-like s/s. This statement might seem incongruent, or damning w/faint praise. But the one known substance in the cosmos (so far!) known to frequently cause GERD for me is the marinara used in many pizzerias. That's why, when there's an option, I usually go for the white garlic sauce. Quickly now! Somebody, fetch the whole staff @ Papa John's some "lifeguard" tanktops and visors--- 'cos they done saved a whole mess of drowning souls who otherwise never would've lived to see 2014 ushered in. Stay thirsty, my friends...
