Came here for the first time last week on my lunch break after realizing i forgot my damn DEQ paperwork. So by accident I found this place. The service was friendly, quick, and the food was delish. The lunch special was reasonable and it came with a side salad which was nice. I had the drunken noodles. Not the best i have ever had but they were good and I would definitely go here again for a nice Thai fix for lunch.

Pleasant and humble staff . They were friendly and creative not to mention accommodating. And the food was so amazing who would care what the service was! Best pad Thai ever! And pretty cheap nine dollars for dinner pad Thai! :) couldn't understand why others gave them a 92% I would say they deserve 100%! And I used to work at a Thai restaurant myself

This is definitely the best Thai food in Gresham, but not the best Thai food I've had in the Portland area. The dishes are good, but lack that extra kick of flavor I've had elsewhere. However, if you aren't going into Portland and want good Thai food, this where I recommend.

Pad kee mao is phenomenal : ) best I've had any where so far, it's my favorite dish but I've been told everything on the menu is great and I believe it! I come here very regularly. Deep fried bananas and the BEST coconut ice cream is a great dessert, I also really love their crab puffs : ). I currently live in Salem but come to Portland/Gresham regularly and Thai curry blows all of the Thai food places in Salem out of the water. I usually always get the pad kee mao when coming here but that's because it's my all time favorite food : ) & they never disappoint.

My Tom Khai was FANTASTIC. Exactly what I needed on a chilly day. Served properly in with a flame still going to keep it warm. Try ordering a side of rice too. I dumped some rice in the extra bowl they brought me then laddled my soup over it... very hearty and warming. I got it with soft tofu and veggies and it truly was loaded, not just all broth... big enough to share! My mother in law got some chilled garden rolls. They didn't look terribly appetizing, but perhaps because I was hankering for something hot and steamy I may have been turned off bias-ly. I didn't taste them, she said they were good. Small shopping center venue so plenty of parking. Staff was kind, but they don't speak a terribly large amount of English. I was loving the ginger spirals in the soup they put to flavor it. Although you're not really supposed to eat them whole, I found myself sucking them dry when I was done. I didn't realize it was just ginger earlier so I asked if they could tell me what that ingredient was, it took a minute for them to translate but figured it out eager to answer, very sweet, very sweet. Not sure I'll find myself in this area too often, if not for visiting my husband's grandmother, but that was a nice surprise in this highly residential area.

It's nice to have a decent Thai restaurant in Gresham that isn't all the way in downtown Gresham. My husband and I came in and sat down and the service was great, for starters. The prices were fair and our total tab was probably a little over $30 including a tip. I ordered the typical Pad See Ew with chicken, and my husband ordered pork Drunken Noodles. He requested them to be extremely spicy and they definitely met his expectations on that - lots of restaurants don't. All of the food was tasty and the chicken satay appetizer was OK, but nothing mind blowing. Would I come back? Definitely!

I was surprised to find food of such good quality in a strip mall. I ordered chicken pan ram and it was rich and yummy with a delightful peanut sauce. The vegetables were fresh and the chicken was cooked well. My wife had chicken pad Thai. I had a few bites and that wasn't enough. It was the best pad Thai I've ever had! The sauce was sweet and went really well with the seasonings on the eggs. Just really, really good. The service was decent and the ambience was as you'd expect for a restaurant in a strip mall. But the food was excellent. I really enjoyed it!

OMG YUM! Totally amazing food, fresh, not greasy, higher than the standards of some other Thai food that I've had. I've only ever done take out so I do not know what the ambience is indoors. But they are just down the street from me, so it's worth popping over for some takeout. Great prices too.

Good food overall, hardworking, professional staff- the pad Thai isn't my fave but there are so many good options it doesn't bother us

I have never had a negative experience here at Thai Curry. The food is so flavorful, I haven't ever tasted any Thai food that comes even close to the level of delicious this establishment offers! The family who runs the restaurant is so friendly, welcoming, and warm. The atmosphere is casual but very clean with an upscale feel. We usually order take out but have eaten in a few times. We took some friends here once from out of town and they said they can't eat at their local Thai restaurant anymore because it's too bland comparatively. Considering how delicious the food is I don't believe their prices are unreasonable at all. Depending on your meat choice the dishes run between $12-$18 which is about the same you would be paying at a chain restaurant where everything is pretty much frozen and cooked in a microwave (if you've ever worked at a chain restaurant you know what I'm talking about!)

This is one of our favorite lunch spots. I really enjoy their Pad Kee Mao but the Pad Thai is great as well.

Amazing. $7 lunch special or $10-13 dinner meals for this? Yes please. Through the different plates we ordered everything was fresh and smelled great, very aromatic. Fresh fruit and fresh fish were used for our meals and it's easy to tell when places cut corners in this aspect, which I'm glad to say Thai Curry did not. I'm fairly certain they didn't even use frozen fish, or at minimum it was cooked perfectly and very tender. Portions were average to generous and did not disappoint. Our waiter was well mannered and attentive, not a single problem. The atmosphere was a very clean and they succeed at being a step ahead of the little strip mall they're found in. Not going to lie, I'm actually salivating thinking about it, but I am a little hungry at the moment. Overall I was pleasantly surprised, as the food quality is generally found in much higher scale restaurants but with portions to match a mom and pop shop. My parents have been back a handful of times since for the food. After my parent's return visits they've always make sure to comment to me how much they liked it and that they had been again that day. My dad in particular gets overly excited talking about what he's had, which he generally only reserves for places he really likes.

Another excellent cuisine! We went yesterday evening and had to go back today for more. Family owned and very friendly. Food is prepared fresh and beautifully. I tried the Pineapple Curry today and it was superb! I loved the Shrimp Tempura as an appetizer and the Garlic Pepper Chicken is excellent as well. The entire menu is wonderful and I tried Thai Tea for the first time too. It was excellent! This place is really close to our house, so we will definitely be making it one of our "dinner-night" places when we aren't cooking at home.

Absolutely amazing Thai food. The best in town!!! I'm a Thai food critic and this is the best I've had in my life. The pad Thai is to die for.

These folks got taste.. and I mean this in a salmon avocado thai curry way. Yes that's what they had on "special" on their blackboard. Only one of their mmmm 8 items at least in front of me. And then I had to look through their whole menu too? What a bummer.. I should knock off a star for having that many tasty choices right? I think not. Along with that special avocado/salmon curry dish, I chose their papaya salad (my tester dish) and finally some fresh salad rolls WITH that dynamite peanut sauce (another tester). Passed majorly on all! It's more of a "to go" place as the atmosphere projects so grab yourself some deliciousness and set the table.

Excellent service. Very descriptive. Very helpful for somebody that doesn't order Thai food very often. Very helpful. Very good food

Authentic tasting food. Spent almost $30 dollars on two meals and two drinks to go. Get home and my Pad Thai has literally six tiny shredded pieces of chicken. Tiny portions. Very cheap people. Will not be coming back!

I've waited for years for a nearby Thai place to open and was not disappointed. This is my go-to for their delicious Massuman and Tom Yum. We usually get it to go but our first experience was sit-down. They have this rad soup set-up with a fire that warms the soup while you eat. The decor was pleasant - especially for a restaurant sandwiched in a generic shopping center. They even had a table set up for outdoor seating in summer. It was my last meal before giving birth and one of my first when we finally got out of the hospital.

I ordered pad se ew it was kind of bland had to put a bunch of chili paste on it to give it flavor, everyone who ordered curry there dishes were okay my sister ordered the pineapple curry it tasted like a lollipop not good. I would give it another chance I had thought, after we ate maybe 5 min later our stomachs were hating us idk if it's there oil quality we all had the worst stomach pain. Not coming back!, thai iced was good that's it not worth it. Go to chai thai cusine instead.

Visiting from out of town and being a vegetarian Thai is a safe option. I tried two Thai restaurants and Thai Curry is the best. The food is fresh tasting and spicy enough. I tried the Pad Thai and the Cashew Nut vegetarian style with tofu. Seriously delicious. Location is worth the drive off of 182nd ave near McMenamin's. I am sure most dishes are great!

Had an early dinner here for the first time last week. they were very accommodating and allowed us to have a half order of the Tom Kha soup. and the fried. rice and pad Thai were good as well. I will def come back if I start craving some Thai food!

Great lunch specials. Quality is really good. I have enjoyed the pad see ew for lunch many times.

  • Dottie S.

Best Pad see ew with chicken, ever! I was literally pleasantly surprised, especially since I normally only go with dishes I KNOW I LIKE, like pad Thai. So glad I went for a change. :)

I've tried a lot of Thai places around the Gresham area. Must say this one is the best one by far. I really don't write reviews, but if you like authentic good quality Thai food... You must try here once! Every dish was superb and believe me I'm a picky eater! Happy eating yelpers!

I traveled from Seattle and was in the area looking for a good thai food thought I would check this place out but I received horrible service and the waiter was rude I will never go back here again! Plus the food quality didn't even match the price you pay for!

  • Eric V.

Really delicious food, not too heavy handed with the palm sugar, the portions were a little small and the staff didn't seem happy we were there, otherwise I would have given 4 stars

  • Ann A.

We just stopped by today for the first time and ordered take-out chicken curry. Got home to find a few pieces of chicken, lots of bamboo shoots and 1 inch-long piece of red pepper. This was not tasty. If we had been eating in the restaurant, I would have definitely asked where the vegetables were? Maybe eating IN the restaurant is better?

  • Theresa C.

Tom Yum tofu - delicious! Salad rolls - fresh, delicious, warm spicy peanut sauce - you can't go wrong Mussaman tofu curry - wow, is this tasty stuff Fried tofu appetizer - ask for the peanut sauce with this one - the tofu is so fresh and tasty Hubby's meat entrees - chicken mussaman curry - he loved it! The service is quiet, respectful, on top of things - these are delightful people and gracious hosts. This one's on my list of regular dining stops and I'm so grateful to eat good thai food since my favorite thai restaurant in downtown gresham went downhill

Let's get down to it. Service good, food good. The pad kee mao was tasty. Also the pad thai was good too. Worth a visit.

Last night I ate at Thai Curry in Gresham, ordering the special: Curry Chicken Noodles. The noodles were undercooked, chewy and a chore to eat. The very flew slivers of chicken were chewy as well. The owner came to the table and told me I didn't understand that it was how the dish is supposed to be -- crunchy noodles on top and soft underneath. "But all the noodles are chewy ... like rope," I said. He replied I didn't understand the dish, no offer to substitute or fix. Trying to give it another chance, because I was hungry, I ordered chicken pad thai to go. When I got home, I found it to be a sticky mass of sickly sweet noodles with very little meat. First time, shame on you. Second time, shame on me. I won't be back. I'd recommend Siam Sushi in Troutdale instead.

Over priced and didn't even give me what I ordered. My partner and I ordered take out, and even though we each ordered something different, they were both the exact same thing, chicken, carrot slices and some bok choy. They just gave a different sauce for my partner to pour over his. My dish was suppose to have chicken and shrimp in it and it only had chicken. So disappointed for the price we paid. Won't go back.

There are not many Thai restaurants in the Gresham area, so when I heard about this one opening up, I was excited. Went there for take out. I had their Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. We also ordered the Salad Rolls (shrimp) and Fried Tofu. The Pad Thai was very good. The Pad See Ew was okay. The noodles for the Pad See Ew, however, were not fresh. I was disappointed. The Salad rolls were good and average size. Their peanut dipping sauce was a strange yellowish color, but it was still very good.. The Fried Tofu was disappointing. You get 5-6 triangles of tofu and one little dipping cup of sweet chili sauce for $5.00. I ordered it to try and will not order it again. Overall, I think they are a little pricey for the type of restaurant and location. Their lunch menu is cheaper but probably smaller portions. The owner did give us two free Thai Iced Teas. They were very good. Definitely will go back again to support this new restaurant in Gresham.

Had green and yellow curry, also golden rice (made with curry powder) all with chicken. It was so good I ate way too much. Clean place, pretty small, good quick wait staff. I liked it a lot.

I love their food. I've tried their curry, stir fry, salads and pad thai. It all tastes great, fresh, flavorful, and I am always very pleased with my meals whether it is dine in or dine out. One issue though, the last time that my family and I went they overcharged us. Even though we wrote our amount in pen on the restaurant's copy of the receipt we got a completely different amount on our bank statement. They charged us an extra 20% tip, an exact 20% to the penny. This wasn't a 20% gratuity for a large group, which would have been understandable. We had purchased a takeout order for only 3 people. We called our bank to try to take care of it but there wasn't much that they could do. Yes it was an only extra $8 they charged us but still it's the principle. It's THEFT. So if you are craving some local spicy curry, this restaurant's food is very tasty but only pay cash with these people and not card. Because apparently they can enter in any amount they want, even if you mark it in pen.

Loved the food! It is a bright and cheery atmosphere that is inviting. They have amzaing service and fast takeout. Been waiting for a neighborhood thai restaurant.

Food is really great! In a funny area next door to offices, lottery places and a Taco Bell. But I have eaten here several times and everything is really good! :)

Finally. Great food! Don't miss this place if your in the mood for great Thai food. The atmosphere is nice for a small strip mall restaurant. The service was super nice but slow as they were busy. We will be going here again and again. Be patient, it will be worth it.

I got the Pad Thai Chicken and it was delicious! We also got egg rolls on the side, and they were very fresh and good. There weren't any prices on the menu, and it ended up being a bit more than i was expecting. But overall it seems like a good restaurant. Very fast, and friendly.

I really like the food, but my husband and I went in the restraint on Saturday for lunch and it smelled like rotten fish so we got up and left.

Finding good asian food in Gresham is rare. I started going here a couple weeks ago because it was recommended by a friend. Since then I frequent this place almost once a week. I always do the chicken pad thai, level 4 spicy, and it's money every time. The tom yum is good, curry is good, their pho, fried rice, and just about everything else on the menu is delicious. The food is decently priced and the service is great (the kid does a great job holding down the front by himself). As far as thai food goes in Gresham this has to be the best place I've gone too -- genuine and delicious!

Food - so so. Average Thai. Place doesn't look too clean Two stars for good service and low prices.

Pad Thai tasted like ketchup and the noodles were a little over cooked otherwise friendly staff and great service.

Pad thai was ok, a bit over priced for the tomyum soup. Food quality was acceptable. Great service

Excellent food, great service, comfortable ambiance! Great quality even for a "fancier" restaurant. I didn't think a little Thai restaurant in a strip mall would be anything too special, but my stereotyping was totally off! A real treat that we'll be eager to visit again!

Great little Thai place. Our normal little mom & pop spot closes for a month while the family travels home. We needed Thai, and this place is a couple of miles from our home. We called in and had it to go. Food was ready when I arrived, service was friendly and I was out of there in no time. I had the spicy rice with chicken, medium spicy and it was great. My wife had the chicken pad tai, medium spicy as well and her response was this would be our new spot. Sticky rice was solid.

When this place opened I was so excited to try it because there are not a lot of Thai restaurants in the Gresham area. It took me over a year to finally try this place. I went in today for lunch since it was on my way home from work.... I walked in and the owners greeted me right away. I told him I was doing take out and he handed me a menu and I skimmed through it and there's a variety of menu items. I ordered pad see eww, Mongolian beef, pad Thai, and yellow curry soup. The wait was about 15 so normal wait for the service before I got my food. The noodles were not so fresh from both of the noodle dishes... You can tell it's about 2-3 days old. The Mongolian beef was so ridiculously small portion.... Seriously look like a kid size meal.... The portions for the noodles were normal. The yellow curry was alright, not the best... This is an okay joint. I could be back CID I'm in the area only. But I won't drive the 5 miles for it though.

Meh, is pretty much how I feel about it. I ordered medium spicy pad thai, and it was very mild. Two friends got red curry and were somewhat disappointed. They enjoyed the taste, but the discription in the menu says "bell peppers, bamboo shoots, and basil"; their curry only had the meat and the bamboo shoots. The portions were decent, but I can't say that the price was good for the quality. I think I will go again to try something else (they have a very large menu), and hopefully it will be a little better.

  • Ahthee K.

Honestly, the moment we walked in scared me. You have a angry customer who just yelled at the waitress about not having the right food. Makes you rethink for a second! Then when I looked at the menu it surprised me. Why would I pay $11 for a bowl of Pho when I can get a Authentic bowl of pho for $6.00 down the road? Still have this place a try, and I could of gotten better authentic Thai food elsewhere. Over priced, food isn't good, and it's just not worth it. Gresham definitely has better Thai places around.

  • Robert H.

Tried their 2 star Yellow Curry and 0 star Pad Thai last night with the egg rolls as an appetizer. We were very impressed with the flavor on all the entrees. For spice addicts like myself it needed a bit more oomph but the foundation for a good spicy dish was there on the curry. I would try 3 stars and up if you like the heat with your curry. We'll definitely be going back.

Hell YES! Love the food. Not a bad thing on the menu. VERY authentic. We go at least once a week. Very, very good.
