This location is awkward for parking. The store layout is awkward and the line is usually long. It seemed to be unorganized, it being the staff and the food getting process. As far as taste and freshness. Let's be honest with each other, this is the McDonalds of Chinese food. Teriyaki chicken is the best bet! Battered and fried meats of any kind are always a little suspicious in my book.

Ate here so much at one point that I got disgustingly sick of it. Also, it is actually not very good most of the time. As most people have stated, if the item has been there a while, pick something more fresh. It will be gross. Service is fine and the place is cute, right in the middle of the mall. But really...this place is a pick at your own risk. Cheap means cheap here, so be aware it probably won't be more than a sub-par meal.

If you like this type of food then you'll love PE. However since I don't, I can't give a postive review. It's greasy, sometimes the chicken/beef is really hard (from overcookong) and everything is thrown on to the plate in a messy and disorderly fashion. My wife loves this place and I cringe everytime she mentions that she wants to eat there. This particular location isn't very well kept IMO. When I visit go there, the tables usually aren't wiped down and there is food left over from the previous person. The highchaira are filthy and need a real good scrubbing/wipe down. If you like this food, this location may turn you off all together. Cross the street and eat Subway instead. It's better for you anyway.

You know what it is. It's a Panda Express, the relatively fresh Asian fast food. I used to pick up food here all the time when I was living at home after college. Mmm... I loved some black pepper chicken, chicken with mushrooms and a side of fried rice. There's not much room to sit at this local, which is fine. It's nothing special, but you get a decent meal at a decent price. I wish there was one close to my office (that didn't require me to find parking at the mall).

I use to love PE, but I have went there a few times recently and they are holding back on their portions. They use to pile on the chicken (which is very greasy) but now you get just enough to fill the container. Cutting costs I suppose.

This location was the one I used to always hit before they put one in Sandy. My son loves them, so when I can I will meet him here for lunch. I can get sick of the Panda Express flavor quick, and I am not sure why. It isn't a bad flavor really. I get the steamed veggies instead of rice or noodles, and they always give me a huge portion of those. I got the green bean chicken and black pepper chicken. The green beans were cooked to mushy little brown strips of what used to be a happy little green beans before their tortured death. I was looking forward to a crispier version of what I got. The pepper chicken was average for them. They are good, if you can catch them when it is fresh and not sitting there for awhile killing the little nutrients right out of the veggies. I mean, isn't that the reason for going there instead of the burger joint?

"I'll have one bowl of panda, with fried rice" "uhhhhhh...." "You guys don't serve panda? Ok, here is my free coupon for the Kobari beef" "Oh. ok." I've been here a few times because the high schooler I was mentoring really liked it. As many high schoolers do. (note there are many many high school students here) The food is somewhat oily and lacks any kind of original flavors. Dropped in to get some free food today to try their newest entree. The kobari "beef" was tender, marinated in cornstarch then stir fried with mushrooms and onions in a spicy-garlic-soy sauce. It was soupy and oily. A little less oil and a little thicker sauce would have made this much better. My stomach is currently scolding me for the free grub.

Panda is something that you would eat fresh... If you get in the bottom of the barrel don't even bother ordering that type of food. It's good if its freshly baked but if its been sitting there for a while it loses its taste, gets soggy and tastes like its been reheated from the day before. I always go for the orange chicken. It's popular so they seem to get fresh out quicker and is a safe bet. Everything tastes great as long as you get it fresh and eat it now instead of later. And seriously you get a fortune cookie for deseret - I love knowing my future!

Service isn't that great, its to corporate structured, which really limits interaction. you walk in... "hi welcome to panda express, For here or to go? Sample of anything? any extra egg roll for a $1, Okay your total is blah blah, here's your receipt, have a great day" It's always like with everyone, every time, not saying I'm dying for a conversation when I go out to eat, but sometimes it just feels like you're talking to a robot, which would be fine if the restaurant was Star Wars themed.

Chinese Fast Food is what I call it, so I don't expect waiters with towels draped on their arms, or food cooked by a culinary school trained chef. The food is always good, if you ask because a certain food item is in short supply they will whip some up fresh for you, service is always good. A little on the structured side but I didn't come to yak it up, If you should dine in take a window seat as there is not much to look at in the joint to keep the eyes and mind busy. The only one drawback in my little black book, too many red peppers and onions in the entrees, otherwise I will keep making it a part of my routine.

Service was fine but this is the second visit to this store and both times the orange chicken was gross and dry and felt like a complete waste of money. I eat at other Panda locations quite a bit and I've never had orange chicken like this before. :( This location is by a store I work at so it would be nice to be able to have an experience consistent with other stores.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
