Only one visit, and the food was par for the course. The customer service experience at just about anywhere else in town would have been better though. The server needed prompting for everything, from silverware to water refills. The manager came and introduced himself to our table halfway through the meal and asked if he could do anything for us. The rub is that he had already walked by our table several times when we clearly needed these items and did nothing. Clearly too dim to provide a decent service experience.

Over priced over cooked not clean long wait. Took over 30 minutes to get our over cooked overpriced meal whilst sitting in our torn dirty booth bench of a seat. The waitress had to sweep off food from the bench to seat us. REALLY! how about different table and get the buss person out their to clean properly. $17.00 dollars for over cooked Mahi? Not sure that was actually Mahi fish.

Outback is probably my favorite sit down restaurant that is a national chain. Each time I go to an Outback I know that I will get a delicious meal. The Outback in Gresham is no different. Normally I would have given this four stars, however my last experience unfortunately was marred by having a rude server. Typically the service at this location is great but the one we got was short tempered and obviously not wanting to be working. For me this is disappointing because the demeanor and attitude of a server can make or break a dining experience. In terms of the food it was delicious as always. We started with their extraordinary Bloomin' Onion appetizer which is well worth the $7 and thousands of calories. I had the grilled chicken. For $13 I received a very large breast of chicken and side (I had a baked potato). The seasoning on the chicken is perfect and really compliments the meat. I also added a cup of Cream of Potato Soup. Full disclosure potato soup is my favorite type of soup, Outback's is one of the best I have had! In short, great food, reasonable prices, and typically good service. Hopefully next time I go I will get a better server so I can give this restaurant one more star.

I went here doing the Christmas period when I was on vacation visiting my family in Oregon. Went there for dinner around 5pm, service was prompt, there was always a cold beer for me did not have any dry moments. The manager is also very cordial and known by his outback steakhouse regulars. I would go back the next time I'm in town.

Overall great service, food was good, didn't have to wait long for a group of 6.... The manager even stopped by to make sure we were satisfied with the service and food. I would have given 5 stars except I feel like it wasn't as clean and neat, it's kind of going downhill, torn booth seats and such....other than that it was good. I just feel like for what we paid for our meal they could fix a few things in the restaurant :)

Great food but poor service at first; another server noticed and the Mgr came by right away and made things good. Overall it was a good experience, and I'd return to this location for a great steak!

This review is primarily going to be about the staff. The food is always great tasting and fresh but the staff is something to write home about...or write a Yelp review about. I started frequenting this Outback Steakhouse back in March of 2008 since we moved into the area. From the very first day I was blown away at how friendly and inviting the staff was. From walking up to the front door and having the hostess open it up and welcoming you to the manager on duty visiting each table to make sure that your meal and experience is top notch, the place just does it right. Larry is the manager there (not sure if he is the general manager), but he is the friendliest man I have probably every met. He remembers us every time we visit the place and ALWAYS does us right. To be honest if he left I probably would not visit there as often as I do. Touch on the food; it is good and always hot and fresh. Once in a while I will have a problem with the consistency of a certain dish but they are always quick to fix whatever issue I may have. And Although I find their menu prices a bit on the high side, it isn't enough for me to stop going in. My biggest problem (or previous problem) is that last year they changed up the menu and got rid of the 2 things that I absolutely loved, the pork chops with cinnamon apples and the spinach artichoke dip. It was a sad day when that went down! If you want a great experience and to be treated right, then you cannot go wrong with Outback in Gresham!

I love going to this outback steakhouse with my family. We always order the bloomin onion and most of the time it's pretty good. The steak and crab cakes are awesome. We always request the big tables in the back, which are very comfy. We are usually sat within 15 minutes of arriving and usually don't make reservations. The GM here is a really nice guy, if you have any issues he solves problems right away. The only bummer is they don't have the rewards club at this location.

Outback always has good food and I have been here many times. On my last visit I ordered the wonderful wedge salad with the blue cheese (SO good)! When it came out to the table the server let me know that they were out of iceberg lettuce and that someone ran to the store to get more. They had made the salad with another type of lettuce (it tasted as good as it always does). On our way out the server had made me a fresh salad with the iceberg (someone went and got some more for the restaurant) lettuce for me to take home! I would have been happy with the make shift salad but appreciated the replacement :)

We had passed the Original Roadhouse and the parking lot was full. We didn't want to wait to eat so we decided to check out Outback. Outback is located oddly in a strip mall off Burnside, kind of hidden. I was a surprised that there were only a few vehicles in the parking lot smack in the middle of dinner time but they were open. No wait, seating was immediate as there were very few customers inside. The waiter was very pleasant and provided menus and took drink orders promptly. The ice tea was fresh and tasted great. The waiter came right back and took orders. I ordered the ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and a salad. The waiter returned immediately with salad and appeared fresh but as I dug into mine I found that nasty orange lettuce that is just plain old. Yuck! Normally you get warm bread served to you but not at this Outback, you have to ask for it. Go figure! At this time I'm starting to see why maybe there are not a lot of customers here. The entrées showed up pretty fast, in fact too fast. My ribeye looks great but once I took a bite all I could taste was charcoal. I turn the steak over and it was burnt to a crisp......awwww sneaky! The garlic mashed potatoes were brown which I know is not correct because I've had them several other times at Outback. I took a taste anyway and quickly realized there was a reason they were brown. That's right, the garlic mashed potatoes were burnt. Come on people! The waiter came by I showed him the burnt steak and told him the garlic mash or burnt and he didn't look surprised at all. Imagine that! He said he would get me another entrée. Approximately 10 minutes went by and a beautiful ribeye arrived at my table accompanied by a baked potato this time. It looks good but on the inside the ribeye was raw. That was the end for me. The waiter came by to check I showed him and he shook his head. He informed me that would be no charge for my dinner. Holy crap how can a steak place not know how to cook a steak, unbelievable! I suggested they get their cook some training and left..... Hungry! So if you ever go by a restaurant, it's smack in the middle of dinner time and there's no vehicles in the parking lot...... There usually is a reason.... don't go in. :-) 2015-94

2.5 stars! The service was pretty good but the food? Not so much. I got the prime rib, fries and Caesar salad... The meat was undercooked for "medium" and the salad was drenched in dressing and stale croutons. I had a really good drink in the bar which we were seated in the bar I though but kids were in there... Maybe the bar is just up at the counter... Not sure. A really nice staff but our dinners were less than ok. Will not return anytime soon for steak at least.

Everytime we come here the service is lacking to say the least. Today we were seated and sat for over 10 minutes and never once saw a waiter or waitress.no water, no nothing so we left without ever eating. Unfortunately, this is not unusual for this establishment. We try it every 6-12 months only because we have a gift card to use and we are disappointed every time.

Just received a $20 gift card from a family member, but we wont be using it. No reason to waste time giving this joint a 3rd chance. Obviously the company doesn't care that people are complaining, or they would be replying and/or offering to make it right. Amazing they are still in business at all.

Outback has died. The past 3 or so visits to various Outbacks have gotten worse. on all 3 occasions, my MEDIUM-WELL steak has come out bloody and still mooing. But it gets worse. Last night I had to drag myself back one last time because I had a $20 gift card that was going to expire on 2/10. We were seated right away. It took about 10 minutes for our waiter, Cody to get to our table. We ordered our drinks (soda). He asked if we wanted appetizers and we said no thanks. Once our drinks arrived - about 10 minutes later (for sodas mind you), he again asked what we wanted for appetizers. I again told him we were passing on them. I hate trying being up-sold over and over again. At this point (20 minutes seated), we were clearly ready to order. But of course, the server gave us the "be right back to take your order" line. Another 10 minutes goes by and he finally comes back to take our order, after "chatting" with another table for about 5 minutes about nothing regarding the dining experience. As we're sitting there, waiting for the loaf of bread that ALWAYS comes with the meal, I'm wondering why we're not getting any. No sooner do I hear another server tell another table that the policy "has changed" and that you have to request a loaf of bread now if you want some. The server is no longer allowed to offer you any first. REALLY? a 25-cent loaf of bread? When the server brought our salads (brown and wilted). I asked for the bread. He then gave me the same song-and-dance about the new policy. My partner ordered the NO RULES Ribs and Steak Combo for $18. He got a whopping 4 dried out riblets, and steak that was literally the circumference of about a silver-dollar. Dry on the outside, bloody in the middle. Gross. Asked for extra butter for the potato. It finally arrived after the rest of the meal was done. I ordered the Alice Springs Chicken. Nasty as well. Dried out piece of chicken breast - very stringy. With old bacon that that probably cooked 4 hours prior. Also. In the "old' days (about 6 months ago), every meal came with 2 sides. Not any more. You only get 1 side with your meal. Want steamed veggies with that potato? $3.95 more please. To the servers credit, he was very nice. He did bring us drink refills without having to ask for them, etc. Sadly, his hands are tied by corporate rules and just plain crappy food. Again, in the "old" days, the manager use to come by each table to check in. We have not seen a manager on the floor for several visits. now. Sorry Outback. you lost this customer for good!

The worst place for a steak! The cooks do not kno how to make a good steak. Also, DO NOT EAT THE LAMB! Horrible! Tasted like shit. Ivehad lamb, i love lamb, but not here. Not only did it taste like shit, but it tasted old and rotten. U guys need to get better chefs!

Most of the food we ordered was good. I liked my baby back ribs and my daughter liked her chicken sandwich. My husband ordered his burger well done but it came still pink in the middle. French fries however were not that good. Also I think the food was a bit too expensive for what we got. Service is also very slow. Overall I wouldn't go back anytime soon.

My servers name is Anthony. He was very courteous and wasn't pushy at any moment to move us along :) I just wanted a really good steak dinner tonight and that is exactly what I got!

I used to go to Outback a lot. It's one of my favorite restaurants. I go here every year for my birthday with a large group. For some reason the past year at this particular one hasn't been good. They just aren't the same. I went one night really late and my boyfriend's mother. She had ordered like pork loin or something and she usually gets medium and it came almost raw. They put it back onto the grill for her, I think there was something wrong with mine too, anyway, they took my back too. While they were away I worked on my two baked potatoes and both of them tasted reheated. Like cooked and then hours later a cold potato was microwaved warm. For my birthday this year a lot of the people in my group purchased burgers, which to me is kind of odd at a steak restaurant... Anyway all of them said that they were over cooked or seemed cold. I didn't really get to enjoy my food, but it seemed good, I was really busy during the whole dinner. They provided me with my honorary birthday sundae which I had the kids help me eat. My boyfriend who is allergic to nuts took a bite and could tell that there was some kind of nut in there. We haven't had that problem before and let me be clear, we've been going here for all of my birthdays since I turned 19, I'm 25. Since I now live on the other side of town, we will most likely either go to the Clackamas one or Beaverton one, so I won't be needing to go to this one for a while.

Last time we were in my boyfriend & I both ordered steaks. The outside was black and hard on both while the insides were cold. We waited for our server to come back around and he never did. This was frustrating. We tried waving him down but he was socializing with other customers. By the time he came around again our food was untouched & our drinks had been empty since our food was brought. We were pretty much pissed. He didn't ask us why we hadn't touched our food, or if we wanted more drinks. Instead he just asked if we wanted boxes. It took another 15 minutes to get the stupid check. And I wrote a nasty comment on their. Ended up going to a different restaurant. Bad service & bad food. Probably won't go back.

Came in for dinner last night and service was something left to be desired. The gentleman at the door was very courteous opened and held the door for me, very sweet. However service was very inadequate. Received one glass of water throughout entire meal, everyone around was getting bread with there meal when i asked if we would get any bread with our meal our server said you have to request that we don't just give it out. I just replyed ok thanks nevermind. Ate my dinner and left.

Loved the food, as usual, but the service was terrible!!! We waited an hour for our food, and they were not busy.

Food was really delicious and cooked the way we wanted it... We had 4 adults and 2 kiddos so we had a fairly large party. The reason it didn't get 5 stars was the service was just ok. We got there during a slow time, however after we finished our meal it was really busy. It took forever to get the waitress's attention to get our bill.

After seven years of attending this place and then being forced to go to another one due to moving, I have to say I really, truly, miss this place. I have never, once, gotten a bad meal. This is impressive since I went about every two months or so for SEVEN YEARS. The staff was always alright, they usually didn't give me any memorable impressions but they were efficient and friendly. The ONE time we were waiting forever for something she forgot to put in, the manager came out and offered his sincerest apologies, gave us a free bowl of soup each, and dessert afterwards. I mean, I don't know what to say...every time I went I had a good time, and had good food, and just kept going back. Now that I can't go back (easily, anyways) my view of this place drastically changed. I would like all the staff to switch with the staff near me, so I can get the service and food that I dearly miss.

When I can cook a steak and lobster at home and have it come out better than a restaurant ... that's telling you the restaurant either has crappy ingredients and/or crappy cooks. Recently my husband and I went to Outback in Gresham, as we hadn't been there in several years (and were wondering WHY). THIS is why. Oh yes, now I remember. Cannot fault the service. The wait staff and the general manager really DO try hard. But I have nothing good to say about what comes out of the kitchen. Like I said, I'm a home cook and I can produce a steak and lobster dinner out of my own kitchen that is head and shoulders above what Outback Steak House produces. And it shouldn't be that way. I want a break from cooking. Unfortunately, I'm not going to waste my hard earned money on THIS place. If you don't know what good food is, this place is probably over the moon for you. If you do appreciate good cooking, you'll be faintly disgusted by what this kitchen produces.

Food- good lots of choices had a steak, salad, and baked potato. We had a bigger group all enjoyed the food. Some ribs, prime rib no complaints. Onion appetizer was good. Service- Food was slow, drinks also were slow coming. Our waitress had no personality was very short. Had to ask for drinks boxes etc. Didn't seem to check on us much. Or even at all til we were done. I would eat here again the food was good. The price isn't bad for what you get. Sometimes the service makes the experience defiantly not in this case. Pep it up girl.

This was my 2nd visit in 15yrs. I have to say I won't be back. The staff was great and the restaurant was clean. What I didn't like was the menu prices for what you get. I ordered the porterhouse and was disappointed. It was cooked uneven and for the most expensive meal on the menu I would've expected more flavor and quality

Spacious parking lot with plenty of spaces. Went on a Sunday night which was a busy but quiet atmosphere. A little darker lighting than I like but wasn't unbearable. Wasn't too long of a wait to be seated and was nice to have a small booth for 2. Great food, good service and didn't have to ask for anything twice. Great restaraunt that never disappoints.
