Togos makes some of the best pastrami that I've ever had. Unfortunately, their portions are lacking at this location to say the least. $8 bucks for a large sandwich that leaves you still hungry is just wrong. Usually these sandwiches are open faced monsters where as these are lookin pretty anorexic.

A stop in Eugene on the way to Portland brought my family and i to this little sub shop. Seemed like a typical "Subway-esque" sandwich shop perfect for a quick lunch. The sandwiches themselves were great, the ingredients were fresh, but what really stood out was the customer service. When standing in line deliberating what to get, samples slid our way of their signature Pastrami to try. Never in my life have i been given a sample at a sandwich shop so I thought that was hilariously awesome. Everyone working was so friendly, and above and beyond accommodating. A++ for great customer service!!

A step above Subway, a notch below Quiznos. The pastrami is excellent, but the bread is just so-so. I also tried a turkey & guacamole. Way too much guac, the cheap tasting kind. Not recommended. Parking on Peal St. is terrible during the day. All in all, this CA chain is just ok. But I can't argue the fact that it's nice to have another food option downtown in the heart of Eugene. It's also nice for the folks at the always-busy Greyhound station across the street.

Best sandwich in town hands down. Quality ingredients and daily specials.

This was only our second trip to Togo's. Only in the last year did they make it to Eugene, where there are now two locations. In 1971, Togo's opened up shop in San Jose, California. Curiously, in all my internet research, I was not able to find the founder's name. He was just referred to as Our Benevolent Founder. Togo's got its name because the first shop was really a shack that only seated four people. A sign read, "Sandwiches To Go." And, thus, some illiterate person christened it Togo's. In 1997, Togo's was acquired by Dunkin' Brands, of Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins' fame. In 2007, Mainsail Partners took over Togo's. Mainsail Partners is a weird investment group owning a variety of companies. As far as I could tell, Togo's is their only restaurant chain, which suggests it is likely just a front for the Illuminati. Today, there are over 350 Togo's locations, primarily on the West Coast. I've picked up lunch at Eugene's new TOGO's a couple times now. While the atmosphere and staff are all perfectly fine, so far I've been disappointed in the sandwiches themselves. I've tried a toasted Uncle Tony's Italian and a #9 Signature Pastrami, but neither of these managed to impress me. Oddly, I haven't been able to pinpoint what the problem is. Too much meat? Too much bread? Too few condiments? Overall, I'd just say the flavors have been unbalanced (in the case of the Italian) or surprisingly dull (the #9). Like I said earlier, no problem with the ambience; the space has been completely remodeled and is light and open, if not a tad noisy. And the staff are eager, friendly, and enthusiastic. (They've clearly had some intense coaching and training.) So all's fine and good in those areas. Hopefully, these are just start-up problems that will be worked out. I'm going to wait a few weeks and try them again. I'll update my rating and review as needed.

Togo's is the best sub shop in Eugene by far. Almost all of the times I have been there I have gotten great food and service. But one of the last times I came I saw how much sodium was in just one MINI classic. Most of the food has you daily needs of sodium. It has great food. It has great prices. I recommend the daily subs. Also the mini classic combo meal. I love the service and food but the only thing was the sodium. Otherwise this is the best place in Eugene to get a nice sub.

Just meh. I have to wonder about the people giving this place a high rating for either customer service or food quality. The "Open" sign was on, the door was open, we walked in to order a sandwich for lunch later on in the day. Staff unceremoniously announced that (though they were clearly serving customers) they were NOT, in fact, yet open but we were welcome to wait around for 10 minutes until they were. Hungry and already running behind, we waited. And waited. Until other customers had joined the queue (not everyone was equally warded off) and we figured it must be close enough to really REALLY open to go ahead and order. At 5-feet-nothin', I was frustrated to not be able to see over the counter. I want to see what's going in my sandwich- wilted lettuce and brown guacamole was a very unwelcome surprise an hour later. Toasting is optional but not the norm as it is at Quizno's, so I was able to get a not-toasted sandwich. For $6.50 a sandwich, I expected far, far better.

I absolutely love togos, but this time it fell short. The sour dough was so dry, i couldn't eat it. Still the same quality pastrami and chicken salad though. Also prices have gone up quite a bit. Thanks for your response Matt. I wouldn't mind paying higher prices if the food was the awesome quality I'm used to from Togos. Also, i don't think you should call the bread San Francisco sour dough, when it isn't. Sour dough is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside and SOUR. This was more like regular French bread that was old, like the kind you get from Safeway. Charging more should mean better quality ingredients.

Packed with good quality meat, fresh toppings and set to satisfy for a quick bite. Dense flavorful bread makes putting it down that much more enjoyable, 10/10 would eat will recommend!

This was an amazing experience! The large gentleman that worked there helped us pick and sculpt our sandwiches! They were so friendly and even gave us tips of local places to enjoy while we visited. Next time we are here I plan to come back!

Sandwich League was closed. Screaming, angry toddler. I cried for joy when I spotted Togo's while driving in desperate search for an alternative. It's not fancy, but it has to be THE best franchised sandwich shop out there. One of the few things I miss about Medford is Togo's--and their pepperjack pastrami sandwich. Yum! They tolerated our chaos well, thankfully, as we were all pretty frazzled from spending the last 30 minutes cooped up inn a van with a pissed off toddler. Everyone was satisfied with their meal--especially the babe. $50 for 6 meals and a calm babe? Totally worth it.

Wonderful service and high quality ingredients. The avocado is fresh and REAL, and portions are generous. Will be back often.

I really missed this place when it went out of business. I'm so happy it's back. It's so yummy and fresh. I enjoy the Italian usually, always a favorite!

Meh. Bread was dry, sandwiches weren't put together with much care and avocado was brown. I'll stick to Jimmy John's.

Been coming here regularly since they've opened. Just about the only sandwich shop in the downtown core that's worth a hoot with prices to match. The food is typical Togo's. Good quality and good quantity. Various sizes to match the quantity you want. Daily specials that are good, but some days they just aren't what I am looking for. Have had probably 15-20 different sandwiches on the menu, and mixed and matched the cheeses, toppings, and spreads (gotta love the Mayo-Horseradish sauce and the Chipotle-Mayo). What sets this shop apart from the others (even other Togo's), is the people. Since day 1, they've been friendly, eager, and always wanting to make your experience good. I work within easy walking distance, so parking is not an issue for me. They have some off-street dedicated parking, plus on-street parking for easy access. Someone earlier talked about the price going up on the special. Sure, it went up for the sandwich by itself, but the total special with a drink is STILL $5.00. They dropped the price for the drink accordingly when purchased as a special. So in that regard, they dropped the price of a drink by 80% if you buy it with a sandwich.... Gotta keep things in perspective. So if you're looking for a great sandwich selection that won't break your bank, I recommend this place to go for lunch and/or dinner.

PRICE INCREASE ALERT! Togo's has very quietly jacked up their prices in the past week. The new stickers over all of their prices on the menu are the dead giveaway. For example, the daily sub special (w/o drink) has skyrocketed in price by over 18 percent! For a sub chain, I have traditionally preferred Togo over the other chains. However, based on the higher prices, I am probably going to start frequenting some of the independent sub restaurants in Eugene. I just don't see the value at Togo any longer.

I love this place. I had never tried it and now I'm hooked. I'm a sandwich snob, so keep in mind that this is a chain and not a deli, so have appropriate expectations. But for a chain... It's great. A little pricey if you're used to subway, but this is a much better sandwich, so I think it's worth it.

  • Joey H.

Your typical subway/quiznos style. bread was subpar, ingredients were mediocre, service was good. 6 inch subs cost about 6 dollars and the 9 inch run about 7-8 dollars. Price point is just to high, not to mention horrible parking.

You all that are complaining are NUTS. I don't know how you can say that the sandwiches or pastrami have no flavor. As for lack of meat....are you kidding me? They are required to weight the meat before they put it on your sandwich and it doesn't even compare to the Subway or Quiznos meat amounts. Putting Togos in the same category as Subway & Quiznos is just rediculous!!! I guess you just can't make some people happy.

This place Rocks. This was my first time at Togo. Every one behind the counter greeted me and when I stepped up to the counter the kid behind it asked if I every been to Togo and I said no I was a newbie and he recommended the #9 pastrami. I thought it was really cool how they made the sandwich all at one place and didn't treat it like an assembly line. When the cashier ring me up, and gave me my change he said that you I will see you tomorrow i thought that was a little cocky until i bite into the sandwich and I was realize the cashier was psychic and he knew I would be back.

The bread was stale, too much mustard, pastrami is even thinner than wafer thin with no flavor, the tomato was soft and flabby - the worst sandwich I have (maybe) EVER had - it really was awful. How can it be so tasteless?

Consistently makes the best sandwiches I have had in a long time. More on them than Subway, more than Quiznos. It has been great that they opened up downtown close to work, when all the other food shops downtown have been going away. Their $4.00 daily 6 inch sandwich specials are a deal that can't be beat. The staff are consistently cheerful and friendly. All around, a welcome break from work in the middle of the day.

Togo's sandwiches are sub-par at best, given the options i believe are better than subway for the chain that it is, it still doesn't hold well with me. I've eaten here a few times hoping that their food would change my mind, but the only real good thing Togo's offers is the bread. But what really threw me over is the service of one of their members! My wife found a hair in her sandwich. NASTY! We both stopped eating our sandwich. When I brought it up with one of the staff, he offered to either make us another sandwich (value at around $6.50 or so) or give us SOME money back. Given that she's eaten some of the sandwich I wasn't expecting a full refund. So since we were getting full, I accepted the partial refund. The man goes to tell me that he can refund me some money, then proceeds to pull A PENNY FROM HIS POCKET! The receipt shows a penny refund as well! WHAT THE HELL!!! Offer to make a $6.50 sandwich or give A PENNY REFUND! Because of this, I will not be returning to Togo's, atleast not here! And I left my so called "refund" on the table. As a side note, the hair looked like one from his face. The man had a full out goatee and was not wearing a facial hair net, so I am assuming by the color and shape of the hair and the hair on his face, that it was infact his. If everyone was clean shaven, a pubic hair would have been the next thought. NOT HAPPY!
