Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. You can also limit yourself from ordering non-veg pizza and skip adding sides or dressing on your orders to ensure that your cholesterol is in check while dining at Pizza Hut.

The salad was crisp and fresh. The pizza was delicious... With perfectly crisp crust with just the right amount of yummy toppings, and lots of hot options to choose from. The fried chicken breast was tender and moist. My favorite dessert was my own creation of the pinnapple upside down cake with vanilla ice cream and a little strawberry sauce. The service was spot on, it was a busy lunch and yet our server always seemed to show up at our table at just the right time. The atmosphere was warm and clean.. And, my typically picky toddler even ate a full meal. Can't wait to go back!

I do love Izzys but you would think for 12.50 a person plus drinks you would have a larger choice of food. Also fresher food. Buffet items were dry and old and pizza was semi cold. Only warm by the heat lights. Probably one of the worst 30.00 dollars I have spent in a long time.

For the price of $6.99 - Izzy's has come out with an All You Can Eat Special for Unlimited Fish and Chip's for a limited time. Various rumors have it that it may or may not stay on the menu - but, this is the closet thing AYCE fish and chip's since the Springfield and old West 11th Skipper's Closed up shop in the Eugene-Springfield Metro area. The fish is cooked well and ripe to a taste as Skippers once did their own locally - but, there is no clam chowder involved which kinda makes a low point in the merit point system, but that's okay as long as the fish and chip's, which come in potato wedges, every things tastes as good as it can get and for a reasonable price of $6.99. The special is said to cease, but there also talk of a new menu coming out soon as well, what that will be? I have no idea! The fish is hearty for the heart and it's yummy to the tummy until it goes off the daily menu board of specials, get while you still can... I would call your local izzy's first to make sure they still have it - if not sent an email back to Izzy's Corporate Office in Albany and request to get it back on the daily menu and permanently as well. Until next time - have a Happy New Year in 2015.

Food quality used to be much better.. Tasted like leftover night. The pizza I get in the freezer section tastes better. The prices are high enough to expect hot, fresh, quality food. It's a real shame, I used to really like this place. The only thing positive was the salad bar, but still not to par with what's available at Market of Choice. I won't be going back :(

Once you find it, it's a good value. On Seneca just north of West 11th; terrible signage. On weekends, a thin prime rib is offered. Eh. More like a skirt steak. The seafood puffs were uneven as both depend on who's cooking. And how do I know this? Because I have kids, we went on consecutive nights. And a mother-in-law who also likes a good buffet. (That explains a lot.) The pizza was good. My husband was pleased he was finally able to pass on his love of Hawaiian Special pizza to the next generation. The salad offerings were fresh although the dressings were a bit sloppy (careful with your ladles!) There was an array of chicken offerings: three glazes for the wings, two for fired chicken, all good. The sides were also tasty, one night had sweet potato scones that ate like muffins, but alright. When I was kid, Izzy would tell us her cinnamon rolls were the best. Still are. Add pineapple upside down cakes today. (Pass on the lava cake.) Other parts of the country may know CiCi's Pizza Buffet. Izzy's is much better.

You ever have rocket fuel come out of your ass. I have given this place 3 different chances. When it first opened I got food poisoning. Waited a year. Thinking maybe after a year it would be better. Nope that time the smell was enough to turn off my taste buds and send me for the door. This last time, it was what foodies have nightmares of. I went for a friend's birthday and oh dear lord it was traumatizing. I'm pretty sure my ass will never forgive me. The pain associated with izzys is rehashed every time I drive past it. I just pray that no one ever makes me go there again.

I have always loved Izzy's until last night. We went in late after having a hard time agreeing on what we all wanted. My daughter, first to get food, grabbed fried chicken and it looked good so i followed her lead. About halfway thru her plate she stopped eating and said she didnt feel well; I kept eating but only had part of that first plate. We sat there for awhile talking and the boys grabbed desert. The service was less than stellar, as the waitress basically ignored us leaving our dirty plates piled up on the table for over 30 mins (I had to scrape and stack them to make room before she did) As I went to pay, I mentioned the food was not sitting well on my stomach. The hostess/cashier didn't even ask how our meal was or ask if i was alright after my comment. I was really disappointed in everything last night. It didnt meet the standards I've had in past visits to the one in Bend. The fact that my daughter and I both threw up in the middle of the night and my boys are both sluggish and not feeling great makes me wish i could give 0 stars The manager DID call back after my complaint and was nice but had no real solutions to offer. I paid $60 for 4 people to eat and 3 of us are sick today; I'm disabled on a fixed income and dont go out much. I have no desire to repeat this experience or come back....ever. I just wish I could go back in time and spend my money someplace else

I really like this Izzy's. We usually eat here for dinner when visiting my grandparents that live in Eugene. Once again, I was not disappointed! Their salad bar is fairly average, but there are lots of options. The pizza bar is great, lots of different kinds of pizza and all the ones I had were really good! My favorites are the BBQ chicken and the artichoke pesto (that one is amazing!). Their other food is on another bar, and is really good as well! I love their macaroni and cheese, but their pulled pork was absolutely amazing! I think I filled a whole plate full of their pulled pork! I have no idea what kind of sauce was on them (actually was kind of yellow in color, looked like some sort of mustard sauce) but tasted like really good BBQ sauce! My dad and uncle also loved the ribs you can order from the grill, I think they had like plate after plate of those! Their desserts were also very good, and I really liked their bread pudding and especially their chocolate lava cake, I had 2 of those! Yes I know Izzy's is a buffet, but its a REALLY GOOD buffet, and I always enjoy eating here and the food is always good! Also, the staff was very attentive and was always replacing food, and putting more food out, and monitoring the buffet bars. The waiter that brought our drinks out was also quick and friendly.

They lost their soul when they switched to buffet style dining, and apparently the good recipes for their pizza. Too bad, their pizza was pretty good.

Meh wasn't too impressed. As my boyfriend and I were lead to our booth to sit down the girl who put our menus on the table asked if we ..or shall i say my boyfriend knew how the menu/pricing worked. He sat down and said he didn't and she stood infront of the other side of the booth with her back to me and explained it to him in full detail....while I'm just standing there and hes eyeing me like "wtf?"..it was pretty strange. I didn't hear any of what she was saying so he had to explain it to me when she walked away. Overall, the food was just okay...the salad bar had a pretty good Caesar salad. I went back for a second helping and saw a fly buzzing around the mash potato's, then landed right on em. I decided i was done after seeing that. For the price you could get better food at any other place. Skip Izzys.

Oh man, I am SO full. All the gravy and fried chicken you can eat... and yeah there's pizza and stuff but whatever. I ATE ALL THE GRAVY

Izzy's has really, really bad pizza. You can get better in the freezer section of Albertson's, in fact, they may supply themselves from that very section. The rest of the buffet is just as bad. Choose from greasy overcooked fried chicken legs, reconstituted mashed potatoes, congealed mac and cheese, lumps of seasoned shrimp rice (with the shrimp carefully picked out by patrons as soon as it's set out) or strangely bitter, flaky, gray, grilled salmon the cook will complain about cooking for you. The salad bar part isn't *that* bad. It's fresh vegetables after all. The dessert bar has soft serve ice cream and lots of highly processed cookies and puddings. Soft and easy to chew stuff. The place is packed with the usual suspects that enjoy this kind of all-you-care-to-eat-however-bad fare. Nobody smiles. Parent's Note: There are lots of high chairs and always toddlers present but do not take your child to eat at this place.

This is one of my favorite quick lunch places. It's close to work, quick in an out, and you can make the salad just the way you want. No, the pizza is not as good as Pegasus' and no, the fried chicken is not as good as Papa's but it's consistently decent. The pesto and artichoke pizza really is good if treated as a side to a salad.

  • Micky L.

If you have any kind of conscience, don't eat here! Izzy's treats their employees like crap, often-times submitting them to yelling and abuse and not paying overtime. All the food is pretty much premade and thrown in a pizza oven, so not worth the cash.

  • Sue S.

I like Izzy's because I can get what I like to eat (salads and healthy stuff) and my kid can get what he wants (mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, etc.) and we both go home happy.
