Great BBQ! I have been here twice now and I have enjoyed both times, even more the second time around. Good tasting smoked meats, good tasting sides, plenty of good tasting bbq sauce & a dollop of free soft serve ice cream. All for about 10 bucks! When your craving a good bbq sandwich, your craving will be satisfied here!

I was going to give this place 3 stars but the service was great. Food was blah, options where blah, specials where blah, atmosphere blah, decor blah. Would I eat there again?? Maybe. The people where really nice. Also its hard to get a parking spot!!!

I really enjoyed this place!! I got the brisket sandwich and the lady chopped it all up for me and I got it with a side of waffle fries! It was really delicious the meat is cut right in front of you and it's so moist. You can choose regular sweet or spicy bbq sauce. At the end you get free ice cream :) I will def be back!

I was pleased to find a BBQ place close enough to home, But this place surpassed what I expected. The service was prompt, very polite and genuine. The BBQ was all great flavor and cooked just right, sauces were good too. If you live in the Coburg area, this place is a must.

SO slow. 7 people ahead of us and 45 minutes later we got our food. If it wasn't for Maleque nobody would've gotten their food. Eric at the register was completely lost and he wasnt even new. Took him longer to ring up the order than it was to get the food. Keep in mind it was a just a sandwich and 2 sides with a drink.

Great food. Prices are also very affordable. They are family friendly, group friendly, and super friendly. We come here about twice per month. They really have excellent BBQ for the money.

Tried Dickie's BBQ for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised! I ordered the daily special with a good portion of delicious pulled pork, two sides and a warm roll and a large drink for $8.99. Good value, quick and very good taste... I'll be back!

I was fortunate enough to be ordering when the meat dude brought out a Brisket right out of the pit. We both were drooling. It was delicious. Slathered with some hot bbq sauce on there and had the loaded bake potato with Jalepena Beans. man, that was tasty. Cooled off my mouth with soft serve cone. Topped off the meal real nice.

I came in at 8pm on a Friday night for an order to go. It wasn't very busy at all. I had an order of the brisket (Very good), and some of the cheese sausage (I probably wouldn't order again). For sides, I had the potato casserole, which was maybe the best thing I ate here, and some BBQ beans, which were average. You can help yourself to the soft serve ice cream machine for dessert. I took this to go as the desserts they had that day were not appealing to me. I would probably return once I had checked out several of the other BBQ places around here.

Good BBQ joint with overpriced food for the type of restaurant. The food was good and the menu was large. I had pulled pork, polish sausage, Mac and beans. The wife had ribs, Mac and coleslaw. The ribs were the best tasting meat out of what we got. Again -- the food was good. But at $30 for the 2 of us, I didn't care for the "fast casual" theme. If you want to go the direction of Five Guys and Chipotle, you gotta have prices that are more aligned than that. They used plasticware and served food on a piece of paper (over a metal tray) which got soggy and tore apart, which meant I needed to pick paper out of my food. I'll probably go back because their food was better than Hole In The Wall, but I'd rather go sit down, be served and use a real fork for the same size bill.

I lived in Texas for 33 years, so I know great BBQ. Dickey's is good, but not great - especially the selection of sides. The potato salad wouldn't cut the mustard, because it needs.. well, a bit of mustard! Aside from this their prices are slightly steep. It won't break the bank, mind you, but it is a tad expensive for what you get. At one time, you could buy the meat by the pound at half price just before closing. This was the only time I felt the price was right. I'll stick with backyard BBQ in the future.

Amazing sides, great meats, good flavor and I really like their sweet tea! Free ice cream cones any time, who couldn't ask for more? Their sausage and spicy sausage is to die for, their sauces are yummy and I crave their baked potato casserole. I'm not a fan of Mac and Cheese, but theirs is GOOD. The waffle iron fries are very salty and seasoned well.

Delicious BBQ Food! The BBQ Baked Beans are really delicious with a strong pepper taste! I got the beef brisket and 2 sides that came with mac & cheese & baked beans. The food comes out real quick! You also get all you can eat soft serve ice cream! The sweet tea is AMAZING! If you buy a drink they give you a dishwasher friendly, take home collectors cup. Great place!

Stopped in for lunch while here on a business trip and reading about the food on Yelp! I Ordered the brisket and spicy cheddar sausage with the potato casserole and mac & cheese. The brisket was average with a mild smoke but good level of moisture. Mine was all chopped up into cat size nibblets, with none of that barbecue outter bark texture im use to getting with great barbecue! The sausage wasnt hot in temp all the way thru but did have a great amount of cheddar in each slice. The sides were a little better then average for your typical run of the mill non-homemade type variety. There was only one cashier so it was about a ten minute wait to order. Being a first timer I really didnt mind as it gave me the opportunity to paruse over the menu selection. She was very friendly though and also wished me a pleasant day on my way out after my meal. All in all it wasnt bad. But honestly this place wouldnt cross my mind next time thru town, as THE go-to, must have barbecue!

DLW and I went on a Friday night, and found the spot in a strip mall off River Road with a little difficulty. The roadside sign on the marquee was not very prominent. Parking was quite tight, since a couple of bars are also in that location, and the medical clinic next door posted giant signs warning people that they would be towed if they dared to park there. Just to drive the point home, a guy was watching from the clinic's entrance, presumably with the towing company on his cell phone's speed dial. Dickey's was busy as well. You order at the counter, and by the time I got there, at least ten people were behind me. We ordered a selection of plates with pulled pork, brisket, turkey, spicy cheese sausage and Polish sausage. All of the meats were good, with DLW picking brisket as her fave, while I leaned toward the pork and Polish sausage. Sauces are on the side: regular, sweet and hot. They are all similar tomato-based recipes, with hot just the regular with red pepper flakes. Each of us had two sides, with hers an acceptable Cesar salad and nicely crisp onion straws, and mine slightly undercooked fried okra and jalapeno baked beans. Worth noting is that they were out of ribs and green beans already. The interior was nice and clean, and big enough for 100 seats or so. They have daily specials, and lunch specials for students. Everyone gets free soft serve ice cream. If you buy a drink, they give you a to-go cup automatically, which you can use to make a surreptitious root beer float if you like. It's a chain BBQ, but pretty good for what it is.

Just came in for late Sunday lunch and must have waited ten minutes for the girl working their to sloooooowly cut the meat for the other guy in front of me. No smile. No greeting. No sorry for the wait. When she was finally done she awkwardly made quick eye contact with us but said nothing ignored us and kept smashing the brisket with her hands. Odd experience. She must have been having a rough day... Anyway we walked out. So rude. Too bad cause I love Dickies and really looked forward to having lunch their. Hopefully when I go back this girl will have quit or been fired, obviously customer service is not her forte.

I'm updating this review based on my recent visit. I called my order in ahead of time on a Wednesday right after the lunch rush. I was met with friendly and informative service over the phone and was able to save money by getting the special, which, oddly enough was the same sandwich I picked up on my first visit. I walked into an almost empty restaurant and was greeted right away with, "you're Amy with the phone order? We just pulled your fries out of the fryer!" I received my food immediately and was given all the sauce I wanted, and when I asked for a cup to get my free soft serve to-go, they offered two! My sandwich was fantastic, just as before. I LOVED the waffle fries. They were lightly seasoned with salt and pepper, not that heavy orange seasoning you often get on waffle or curly fries. I also asked for a side of ranch after I had paid and they gave it to me for free, even though I offered to pay. I also ordered the Mac & Cheese. Again, it was your basic, "from a bag" and warmed up Mac & Cheese, but it rounded things out! It was plenty of food for a $9 special which also included a drink. So let me recap: sandwich, two sides, drink and soft serve for 9 bucks! I will definitely be back! Great job, Dickey's!

Went for the first time about a week ago and since then I have been back four times. So far I have had the pulled pork, ribs, and polish sausage. All the meats have an amazing smoke flavor. The ribs are fall off the bone tender and there BBQ sauce is amazing. They have a daily lunch special for $8.99 that includes a main item (different depending on the day), two sides, and a 32 ounce drink. The drink is refillable and they have free soft serve ice cream. There are plenty of side dishes to choose from. The best I had so far are the waffle iron fries, the Caesar salad, and the Mac & Cheese. This is some of the best BBQ in Eugene and for the small price makes this a great place to go.

A friend took me there last Saturday afternoon. Wow what a fantastic place. We both had the BBQ Brisket Special of the day. It included two sides and a huge drink of choice. The meat was tender and juicy, Mac and cheese was so tasty, great baked beans, wonderful okra, and very nice salad!! Lots of choices for your sides. I will be stopping there every chance I get. Large servings at great price. Loving this place. Very clean, helpful servers, with great prices. Very clean bathrooms. If you like BBQ this is the place. Can't wait until I get to try ribs.

I heard about this place from a coworker and I'm so glad I came in. The subway/chipotle style of ordering food is awesome because you can watch your food being made. The quality is perfection. It had to be some of the best mac and cheese and barbecue sauce I've had in a long time. I'll definitely be coming back soon! Especially because kids eat free on Sundays!

We have been going here since they opened , amazing !!! They are always friendly , efficient , helpful, professional !! Always clean when we are there ! The food is really really GOOD !!!! The brisket is top notch, sausage is so yummy !! Pulled pork also excellent !!! There is NO "mystery meat " at this place , it is chopped right in front of you !! They have amazing customer service !! Lots of restaurants in Eugene could learn a thing or two from this place!! We are a family of 10 people that eat together at least once a week in Eugene and this place is at the top of our list !!!

Awesome place for bbq! The food is great and the staff extremely friendly. The manager goes over and above to make sure you feel like a valued customer. Best of all, free ice cream for dessert! So glad Dickie's decided to put a location here.

On two visits, pretty impressed with overall quality. Ribs, Brisket, Turkey, Pulled Pork all good. Sides are all standard but good with the only oddity being the green beans and bacon, kind of watery and soft....nice idea but not where they need to be. Nice staff as well, well trained and prompt. Good value, will return I would imagine once per month.

I am updating my previous review from March. Went in today for some takeout. It took about 15-20 minutes to get through the line which had all of 5 people in front of me. I got a brisket little hoagie and 1/2 rack of ribs. The brisket. I saw that the guy slicing the brisket was slicing it the wrong way! He was slicing it with the grain instead of across it. Why is a guy who has absolutely no idea what he's doing cutting the meat in a BBQ restaurant? Here is some info about brisket. It's 2 different muscles with the grain (muscle fibers) running different directions. They are separated by a layer of fat. The bottom portion, the flat, is very lean. The upper portion, the point, is fattier. The 2 muscles should be separated as they are completely different. They must be sliced perpendicular to the direction of the grain, or you end up with stringy, impossible to chew brisket, which is what I got. The ribs were a mixed bag. There were some really good tender bites, and there was a good portion of them that were dried out, fatty, gristly, and inedible. There seem to be some real training issues needing to be addressed in this restaurant. I've eaten at a Dickey's in Texas that was really good. Won't be back to this one though. If I want Texas BBQ in Eugene I'll go to Hole in the Wall.

I'm using Yelp's three star guidance here - a-ok is a perfect descriptor of Dickey's. It's exactly what you thought it would be - a lot of meat, with a lot of sides, and a lot of free soft serve! There's definitely a time and place for getting a good old fashioned gut-busting meal, and this is a guaranteed spot to accomplish it. That being said, nothing really sets Dickey's apart from any other barbeque place I've ever frequented. It's one of the better options for BBQ in Eugene, so I guess there's that.

Ordered on line. Said it would be ready at 11:56 am. Got there at 11:59 am. Lights off and door locked-sign on the door said they opened at 11. Saw person at counter, knocked on door the person looks at me then looked back down and continued working -no acknowledgement. Waited in car for just over 15 minutes-they never did open. There was a voicemail on my phone when I got home. Apparently 2 people failed to show up for work and they had a catering order for 300 so the doors were locked. I was told I could pick-up my order just come to the door and I could pick it up. Message was time stamped 11:58 am-just before i knocked on the door--which they didn't answer. I called back and asked for a refund. Just frustrated I drove 20 miles and wasted an hour of my time. Does not seem very organized.

This was a great find! Food was delicious. Staff was super friendly! Those rolls are something special and the pulled pork was very tender and moist. We were just passing by and saw the good yelp reviews. Will definitely eat here again our next time through town!

I enjoyed this place. The atmosphere is clean with a little southern industrial twist. The ordering style is similar to Chipotle, Subway, Panda Express, etc. ...You get the drift. Food preparation is quick but don't confuse this place, or the food, with fast food. Prices are moderate but, not exactly overpriced. The flavors are in all the right places, fresh and moist where they should be and crunchy sweet or spicy where you'd hope for. As for the overall "Barbecue-ness" of say, ribs or pulled pork the BBQ flavor is apparent, moist and tasty. By taste alone, I'd say the protein is BBQ'd/smoked at a little quicker pace, as that slow cooked southern style BBQ taste isn't as rich. But still good. To be clear, I'm talking about that deep, mouthwatering, fall off the bone 15-20 hour southern wood fire smokey BBQ. However, I really enjoyed everything I ate here. On a side note, a few nice touches are the complimentary soft serve "ice cream" and cone and the fact that kids eat free on Sundays, not sure of the age limit. Definitely give this place a try if you want some good hassle free BBQ'd meat! Simply put, you get what you pay for. Enjoy!

Simply terrible. Over priced, small portions (except for the waffle fries), lukewarm meat and other sides meant to be served hot. No need to go back. Best part was the free fake ice cream, the cones weren't stale.

We got take out for my employee's at Autohaus. I smoke meat too but I got to say, this place is as good as I do at home. The mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, rolls were very good. We have other places in town that don't even touch this place.

First time in and the service was great. Very friendly and willing to help with questions. It's fun how they have free ice-cream cones. Meat was moist and the sides were delicious. Will definitely be going back.

Decent BBQ. I have had it before at a couple other of these around the country. I had the pulled pork and brisket. They were decent. For a franchise I just hope it stays consistent here in Eugene.

Went here on their opening day! Although they were a little frazzled (it was opening day after all), they got the job done quickly and seemed happy along the way! They made an impression on me, and I know that I will be back!

We drove over an hour to get this yummy BBQ experience. The meat was tender and very flavorful. The sides were perfect size and delicious. The sauce was very tasty. Then to top it off the surprise for dessert! No question we will return often.

We got take out for my employee's at Autohaus. I smoke meat too but I got to say, this place is as good as I do at home. The mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, rolls were very good. We have other places in town that don't even touch this place.

Worst food ever. We ordered turkey and it smoked long back and smells very bad. We dropped all foods to trash, still no one cared. Please don't order turkey from here.
