Love this place. The owner is a friendly gentleman, and makes you feel like a very special customer. All donuts made on site. One of THE BEST Glazed Twist and Cinnamon Rolls I have ever had in my nearly 50 years on the planet!!! The "decor" leaves a bit to be desired, and could be made more inviting to attract more customers. But the donuts here would make Homer Simpson melt like butter!!! Get over here!

I am giving it four stars because I normally get one donut, but the last time I got six and I would give it 3 stars for that experience. See my other donut shop reviews. The good Donuts are bigger than most other shops Everything I have had has been tasty Owner seems nice The bad Don't have French crullers I don't think they have donut holes??? Half dozen mixed (3 small and 3 big) donuts will cost you close to 9 dollars and some change. After walking out the door, I realized it would have been cheaper to buy them separately. I kept going through it in my head, and I couldn't come up with a scenario where the half dozen mixed saves you anything.

We flew into Eugene, Or with every intention of purchasing a motorhome & driving it back home. Long story short...we ended up on foot. We found Bobs. Walked in, chose our doughnuts & asked for coffee. He overheard us talking, came over helped us search for a motorhome. An employee offered us a ride to wherever. We found & made a deal on one in salem, and away we go!!!! THANK YOU & GOD BLESS THESE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE.

Nice owners. Good food. Need I say more? :-) Bob is into fishing and bicycles too. He loves to chat about his hobbies. He and his wife work super hard to provide good doughnuts to our community.

There are two types of donut eaters in this town: those who enjoy classic, consistent, made fresh daily, traditional assortment of donuts, and those who get a kick out of suggestively named donuts covered with a haphazard assortment of sweet items one might find in a coed's kitchen pantry, and sometimes taste stale. Bob's serves traditional donuts. Chewy, tasty, fresh, sweet, soft, moist donuts. All sorts of flavors and styles: filled, bars, fritters, cake, glazed, old fashioned, raised, and more I had never heard of. Made fresh daily. I'm not a big donut eater, but my fiance was having a craving. It was a quiet Saturday when I visited, so I was helped promptly. I essentially listed my man's top 6 varieties, and all were available and packed in a box for less than $8. The space is a small restaurant with an L shaped counter that reminds me of a diner. The donut case is small, but stacked. They also serve a simple breakfast and lunch menu serving a variety of hot dogs and sausages. An added bonus was receiving great service from the friendly employee, and not a disinterested downtown hipster.

Bob is an awesome guy who makes good donuts, sandwiches, and hotdogs. When I lived in Eugene I used to walk here for breakfast on saturday/sunday mornings and was always greeted with a smile (they had an awesome breakfast special with eggs, toast and bacon) Fair prices and a friendly small town vibe. Try it out !

Excellent donuts, close to as good as Dizzy Dean's, and definitely superior to VD Donuts (don't fall for the hype). Service was friendly as well, and I got a good deal with a Groupon or something. I ended up trying out a hot dog as well, and I was VERY pleasantly surprised. I'm not really a hot dog connoisseur, but their chili dog called to me, whispering from the menu: "Pick me! Pick me!". So I got one, and boy, that is a mighty fine hot dog sausage! Without being a pretentious hipster sausage, their hot dogs manage to elevate themselves well above the cheap stuff you buy at the grocery store or get at a ball game (or so I've heard, I've never actually been to a ball game, but you get the idea). I haven't had a chance to go back yet, but the memory of that sausage is fresh in my mind. I think I hear it whispering to me right now...

Bob and wife's donuts are good enough that I may have to pay them a commission...I buy these donuts for my customers and we get biz because of the donuts..pretty good investment in my book. If freshly made, delicious fried sweet dough is your gig..this is the place. Super nice folks running it as well!

Bob's is a place that proves you don't need a remodel or anything fancy to make a compelling reason to visit a place. It's old, with an old counter, and old styling. It hasn't been updated since 1950, I'm sure. There's some tables and chairs and a very, very low counter. But while other places get dirty and run down with age (Burger Basket in Salem which I have reviewed as well) Bob's kinda delights in it's nostaligic charm. There's bikes and paintings on the walls, it's remarkably clean, and there was music being played. There were plenty of donuts for me to grab at ten a.m.. My initial apprehension of an unfamiliar joint was put at ease by none other than Bob himself who was a joy to do business with. The guy was super-nice, asked me to come back for a hot dog, and talked to his customers in a cheerful old-skool way that is altogether missing in this world. The donuts were cake style but not too heavy. I grabbed two dozen for one of my customers and they were delighted to receive such an ample basket of these delicious little pastries. I think I've used the words "joy" and "delighted" multiple times here which should sum up the experience for you. I'll definetly be making a weekly visit here when I stop in Eugene.

Bob's was great. Great tasting donuts. Good service. They even have all beef hot dogs and yakisobi noodles. Real mom and pops run business.

We drive by every day we go to work and see their friendly sign waver..Ricky? And we are glad we finally went in! The owner helped me and was so kind and cheerful. The decor is right up my ally, so much to look at and take in. Pictures and gadgets to get your imagination going with that awesome retro feel. We got an assortment of doughnuts and cant wait to try their hot dogs and sandwiches! FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED ... How cool!? If you're thinking about it, swing by sometime, you wont regret it.

It happened the other morning: I woke up and simply had to have a donut. So, I asked St. Yelp where the best donuts and pastries in Eugene-land could be found, and this was one of the places that came up. It was only sort of right. It's not that the donuts aren't good -- they are, absolutely -- it's just that they're not get-up-and-drive-over-naked good. They're donuts. Done the way most donuts are done. And they're priced well. Did this place satisfy the donut craving? Totally... but would it have satisfied a "weird donut" or "gourmet donut" hankering? Probably not. If a straightforward donut is what you're jonesing for, though, this place is a sure bet.
