the owner of this fine establishment her name is Rachel. everything and I mean everything is from scratch, no shortcuts here.are your dining inside or out near beautiful patio this is a wonderful place to come to. breakfast lunch and dinner, you get a true bang for your buck. best all round restaurant in the area hands down. come here and form your own opinions but I am sure you'll be very delighted. the portions are you huge. other establishments should take note this is how a place is supposed to be run and the food is supposed to be. the biggest dam cinnamon rolls I've ever seen. someone must have given up the secret for great biscuits because they have them.

The food is very good. The patio is beautiful with it's landscape that attracts little birds. The only thing that would make this more enjoyable would be to use real cream instead of the 7-11 style creamers and real whipped cream instead of canned whipped cream.

This is a quaint Family cafe. Our waitress (check out the photo) was fabulous! Food was homecoming and like being at my grandparents home in a weekend :-) Definitely pop over and order something! Delicious!

Nice family run restaurant with reasonable prices and good selection of breakfast (served all day) and lunch items. Food was fresh tasting and large portions. We liked the lentil & bacon soup, the chicken breast sandwich on home bread with lettuce and tomato. I had the biscuits and gravy. Could have ordered the 1/2 order cause the full size is very filling. Tasted just like the kind your mom would make for you. Nice local place to stop for a quick bite with fast service, good simple food, friendly staff. Low key, simple ambience.

After a couple days of camping in Kings Valley, my boyfriend and I both agreed we really needed a good breakfast before setting out on a road trip for the next two days. Taters happened to be right on our path back to Salem. I was not impressed by the coffee, and I was so hoping for some good coffee. It was brewed at about half the strength I normally like it, which is saying something as I don't like dark coffee. This was unfortunate. Our meals were alright. My French toast was a little on the soggy side, a bad pet peeve of mine. I had ordered the patty of sausage rather than my usual bacon, this turned out to be my mistake. It was so very oily I had to quarantine it to a edge of my plate and scoot the remaining meal over so it wouldn't get soaked. Yuk. The German sausage combo meal my boyfriend ordered was ok, but he said it really should have been on the dinner menu. It was much too heavy a meal for breakfast. Since it was Sunday morning, the place was packed. This didn't stop our waitress from doing a good job of keeping the coffee coming and attending the table though. Eh, not saying I won't return, but I'm usually not in Dallas and Taters didn't make enough of an impression to be the sole reason of a return trip.

Great place for a small get together over breakfast or lunch. Haven't tried dinner yet. Food is always good and homemade bread is delicious. Love their French toast. Wait staff is kind and courteous. Cinnamon rolls aren't what you would expect though with a frosting that almost taste like cherry.

The place was busy but we found a place to sit. The waitresses were right on it. It was clean and the food is delicious amd is like homemade.

Good, fresh food, and cosmically huge portions for the price. Friendly, efficient service, and good coffee to boot. Their cinnamon rolls--about the weight if not the size of a loaf of bread--are some of the tastiest I've had in Oregon. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Dallas!

Well, this place has pretty good food. Family friendly with simple American style menu items. Breakfast seems to be the meal they concentrate on here the most. The food portions are big and are comparable to cost. The interior is a bit small, cramped and on a busy day, it can get loud. In good weather sitting outside may be the best option here. I rated 3 stars based on the loudness inside and the service. We had 4 orders, 1 was a plain grilled chicken sandwich (nothing but the chicken on the bun, no condiments). The contents of the sandwhich was expressly described by us to the server. Twice the sandwhich had to be sent back to correct. This inconvience came as a result of the server not listening, then not checking the food before bringing it to us both times. That incident aside, the family agreed we would eat there again if in the area.

They have the most fabulous breakfast around. No need to drive to Salem for a great breakfast. Very reasonable prices and consistently good meals no matter what we order. Omelets, pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravy are all wonderful.

We were in the area and this restaurant was recommended by our friends for the food and live music in the outdoor patio. We ordered Grilled Chicken and Garden Burgers which were great. The music was awesome and the owner Rachel Phelps is a great singer.

I absolutely LOVE Taters. It's a quaint little cafe in downtown Dallas, friendly people and great food. I've never been disappointed with the food or the service. Best breakfast in town!

This review is strictly on the service, which is to say non existent. I haven't had service this bad in years anywhere I have been. We stood around for 10 minutes before anyone would even talk to us and that was another patron. We would never have been able to order if we didn't stop the waitress. No smiles, no check ins, nothing. Absolutely appalling in this economy. The 2 stars is for the food which is good but not worth it. Place was fairly full at 10:30 am on a Sunday so a wait would not be unusual, but this was just awful.

Great and fresh food! I love Tater's home bread- YUMMY! I've gotten it with sandwiches and as a side with my breakfast entree. My absolute favorite sandwich is their club house. I've enjoyed their country fried steak platter, but I'm not that fawn of their biscuits and gravy as its own entree. Good service is a hit/miss depending on how busy they are. The servers are always friendly, but it can get irritating when I have to ask for a refill on my drink several times. I shall return many more times!

This is our go to place in the greater Dallas/Corvallis area to get breakfast. It is all good, but most highly recommend are their potatoes covered in sour cream, bacon, cheese and chives!

Enjoyed a great breakfast there today, The Place was packed & there was only one Wait Staff, I never waited for a cup of coffee & my meal was HOT when it was placed in front of me! Food was good & plentiful! I'd be happy to go back! I could basically see in the kitchen (Or Part of it)... and it appeared clean to me!!

I have eaten here a few times, burgers are good, I tried chicken & waffles dinner and did not impress me. Place is always busy but never had to wait. It is small and could be cleaner. I loved their Malibu chicken burger. Portions are good and prices are good. I will be coming here once a month when I want American.

Haven't been there in years because I'm scared of the nastiness the place. Used to be good for breakfast. But the hygiene is lacking so I wont be back.

Great potato pancakes! Recommend getting them loaded... Perfectly crisp. Bacon is thick cut and crispy with out even asking for it that way. I like that. Eggs cooked well, good coffee... Liked the back patio and they are pet friendly! Zero complaints

Check out the disc shaped ice cubes! From those to the mix matched garage sale coffee cups to the great breakfast offerings, Taters is a "must try" when in the area. Also serving lunch and weekends they open for Dinner as well. Coffee - hot, fresh and delicious Eggs - Cooked perfectly! Chicken fried steak- huge, delicious gravy, crisp hash browns Corned beef hash- Not from a can, delicious and large portion. Toast- must choose the homemade option! Service this morning was top notch. Thanks for a great meal!
