A nice little spot in Dallas. We went here when a Friday night for a birthday party. They had reserved the party room in back. Nice little place with a couple of tables and a bar for the wine and a bar for the food stuffs. We enjoyed the people and the fun and they had many staff helping out in the party room as well as on the floor of the main restaurant/bar. Live music was hopping and very enjoyable. I would definitely stop here again. Minus one star for one bathroom for the whole place (unless, I missed another one).
My husband and I had a rare afternoon alone and we decided to go out to lunch. Ever since Tiga left downtown Dallas, we haven't been too excited about the standard local fare so we decided to give Pressed a try. We were so impressed by what the owner has done with their corner location! Totally renovated, there's a ton of ambiance, big, bright windows, and lots of comfortable seating. There was a nice mix of people, from downtown employees to a group of moms with kids in strollers. We looked at the menu and were so excited to see actual LUNCH fare! No greasy pizzas, no burgers, no fries, just delicious-sounding salads and sandwiches. Today was their first day offering sandwiches, so we ordered a chicken panini with a side of red potato salad and a chicken salad on a croissant with a side of pasta salad. We also ordered cafe mochas. The coffee was rich with a perfect layer of frothy goodness on top. The sandwiches and sides were utterly delicious; there's NOTHING else in Dallas that offers a similiar lunch menu. Pressed is an excellent and needed addition to downtown and is exactly the kind of business that we hope to see more of in our little town. The staff was wonderfully warm and attentive, the ambiance was wonderful, and the food was simple and delicious. Can't wait to visit again for their live music and wine tasting.
Really love the atmosphere! They have fabulous tasting coffee as well. My only complaint is speed of service when ordering a coffee (not a great stop when you're in a hurry) and inconsistent pricing on drinks (different quotes for the same drinks.) This is a really nice place to meet a friend or have a date with your special someone. Highly recommended.

I can't say enough about the customer service from Marlene and her chef Trace. We were a group of friends from college who meet every year for an annual get together. Marlene actually opened up the restaurant for us for lunch for a private party and there were only six of us. This place is adorable. The outside patio area felt like your were in some quaint city in Europe. Our one friend from Brooklynn said it reminded her of home. The food (we had lasagne) was incredible and the dessert to die for (fudge brownie with ice cream and whip cream) We were able to leave our "take home leftovers" at the restaurant while we shopped the antique stores and farmer's market. This is really a fun place. We all want to go back and see what else is on the menu. Marlene knows how to make her guests feel truely special. I think the "amateurish" art lends to the quaint atmosphere so to each his own I guess.
Wonderful dinner and wine. I had Grilled pork chop with asparagus and peach chutney. My Sweetie had a Mushroom pasta with chicken. Nice local wine and lobster bisque and a Ceasar salad - tossed before it left the kitchen. Good service. Nice atmosphere and very reasonable price for the quality of food. Looking forward to their Valentine's dinner special. Will go back again and again.
We showed up late and the kitchen was already closing down. The bartender/hostess graciously offered to accommodate us with their small plate menu. From the flatbread to the meatballs it was all very good. Thanks so much for a special night, we hope to update with a fifth star once we try the dinner menu.

The New Mexican place next door had just opened but was packed so I thought we would give this place a try. That was a mistake. The place was busy, small and noisy. The service was horrible. It's like only 2 people work there and there not on the same page. We ordered and waited forever. Other patrons got chips and salsa we got nothing till I asked, then the guy said since we got a 7 layer bean dip he didn't give us any, okay fine but not when it takes an hour for the bean dip! Plus the kid took an attitude when I asked about it. My wife ordered no onions in the dip and it was full of them! shes allergic to onions! Needless to say this caused a lot of stomach pain and a day off work! We will never return here, there are many better choices in Dallas. Quality of food poor and service is worse. They won't be here long. Response: With our bean dip I also ordered a taco combo meal, so what excuse is there now for the poor service? You couldn't pay me to try this place again.
Seriously, our chips were cooked fresh! Awesome food! Have had lunch and dinner here and cannot wait to come back and try some new!!!
When I walked in, the atmosphere was pleasant. Although I did find it a bit strange and unwelcoming that one particular gentleman was sitting at the counter, and at times, it felt like he was staring at us while we ate our food. The chips and salsa came out promptly. They were freshly made (and quite hot, which is wonderful.) Unfortunately, that was the best part of MY meal. My husband's Asada burrito was delicious and we have NO complaints about that whatsoever. I could eat one of those every day! My chile verde pork was interesting, to say the least. I am used to the traditional "chunks" of pork in verde sauce, as their menu advertised. Unfortunately, my pork came shredded, with sauce that was far too thick and bitter. It was edible, but not something I would order again. Note - I did come back on numerous occasions and here is what I have found.... The street tacos are FANTASTIC. There's nothing to be improved upon with those. I could eat those every day as well! Service - although sometimes a bit slow, it is VERY good. The staff are personable and very concerned with your overall dining experience.

From Arizona, so I am picky about my Mexican. But this place is good. Very friendly people.
*Vegetarian review* Okay, let me start by saying that I ate at one Ixtapa before this in Philomath and had some spinach enchiladas, and they were much too salty. I can forgive that. Too much salt is an easy mistake. On to the Dallas location. Servers were very nice, and the food came out with good timing. There was just one thing that really irked me. I asked the server if their rice was vegetarian, to which he responded, no. I then asked him which rice comes with the vegetarian dishes (as it is a side on all or many of them). He said the regular rice, cooked in chicken broth! I'm not sure if this is a corporate problem or a local problem, but it is a huge oversight. The title of the menu section clearly states, "Vegetarianos." This becomes false if you serve chicken fried rice. The server informed me that white rice was available, but I opted for more beans. I should rate very low stars to bring attention to this disrespectful gesture regarding the rice, but I know someone will get a lot more upset than me about it, just a matter of time.
Atmosphere and great food describe Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant. As you step inside the restaurant you will feel as though you were transported to a village in Mexico. They had us with the fresh, crispy chips served with a mild, tasty salsa. Next came the Combo Shrimp Enchiladas served on a large platter with rice and pinto beans. and Arrozcon Pollo, chicken with rice, mushrooms, onions in a zesty sauce. YES, we will have leftovers for lunch. The shrimp enchiladas were some of the best I have tasted. The Arrozcon Pollo is a favorite. Do not pass up the chance to taste some of the best Mexican food served up in the town of Dallas, Oregon! It is worth the drive if you want a real treat. As a treat with your bill you will receive crispy flour chip topped with whipped cream finished with a fruit drizzle. Am I making you hungry?

Ugo's Pizza is the best pizza in town! I love getting the lunch special 2 topping personal pizza and medium soda. I like to add a side order of spuds. They have free arcade games, Oregon lottery, and beer on tap!!! Ugo's is a family ran pizza parlor and a stamp in Dallas. Whether you are dinning in or taking to go, Ugos is your best bet. Ugo's isn't another chain pizza place, this have only fresh ingredients. Stop by and have a slice!
Been here twice in the last week. I'm giving this 2 stars because of the SERVICE not the pizza. I don't care if this is a small town business or not. When you choose to spend your money at a restaurant you should get good service no matter where it is. And most of all if i call and speak with someone about our concern you should probably listen. Because our money could be spent some where else. That's not ok. Fix your staff! Dusty where are you come back! That's the only reason this place is good!!!!!
The pizza was great, kind of expensive and seemed to take a while, but delicious so it was worth the wait. The crust and sauce both taste very fresh and homemade. We will definitely by back again.

Bisquits and gravy is very good. The hasbrowns are excellent. Tuesdays are burger night and most of the fair is good. Buy 1 get 2nd for 2 bucks if irember correctly.
It IS the best place to sit down and eat in Dallas...although since it's always full, because it's so small, our next choice is Dallas Bar and Grill or Murphy's Grill. There, at least we know we'll be able to get a table. I really love the food here at Washington St, and if you can get a booth, then your set. I hate sitting at the tables, you feel like you're in the way, and that you're out in the open. My family has actually sent me in, while they quickly park (if the parking lot is somewhat full), so that I can call them on my cell whether or not there's room to sit. Just so we don't all go walking in there, for no reason.(Because it's happened quite a few times, where we've gone inside and have no place to go) Sometimes, it's not really that worth it to check, we just go somewhere were we know we'll have a table .After we've eaten at all the other places in Dallas too much, where it's a sure thing, we give Washington Street another go. This place needs a whole new bigger building and they'd be set! Service has always been good for me, but the environment is bad. Booths are the best. It's really not anything they can help, unless they built on to the building, and that would be quite an undertaking.
Great service and great food. Save room for dessert, you don't want to miss out on the mile-high mud pie!

the owner of this fine establishment her name is Rachel. everything and I mean everything is from scratch, no shortcuts here.are your dining inside or out near beautiful patio this is a wonderful place to come to. breakfast lunch and dinner, you get a true bang for your buck. best all round restaurant in the area hands down. come here and form your own opinions but I am sure you'll be very delighted. the portions are you huge. other establishments should take note this is how a place is supposed to be run and the food is supposed to be. the biggest dam cinnamon rolls I've ever seen. someone must have given up the secret for great biscuits because they have them.
The food is very good. The patio is beautiful with it's landscape that attracts little birds. The only thing that would make this more enjoyable would be to use real cream instead of the 7-11 style creamers and real whipped cream instead of canned whipped cream.
This is a quaint Family cafe. Our waitress (check out the photo) was fabulous! Food was homecoming and like being at my grandparents home in a weekend :-) Definitely pop over and order something! Delicious!
