Service and meal was excellent! One of the better Chinese restaurants in Corvallis. I have a blog where I review it in greater detail and more photos. Please visit it if you want to get more information! hungrybeaverblog.wordpre…

When this place opened I tried it and was appalled, but sometimes restaurants have a rough start. After a few years of hearing people say it's the best, I decided to give it another try. I ordered Chinese Chicken Salad as takeout, so it wasn't until I got home that I discovered: for $6.95 I got about 6 oz. of iceberg lettuce drenched in a sugary creamy dressing, with a few pieces of chopped up General Tso's chicken across the top. (see photo) Unbelievable! Can't they afford to use real lettuce? How about some cilantro, crushed peanuts, cabbage, scallions, toasted sesame seeds? You know, like you would find in a real Chinese Chicken Salad! That's the last time I will try this place. I do not understand why people like it. (To be fair: the young lady at the register was very nice.)

Authentic Chinese food! We had lots of dishes and all came with good portions and were delicious. We ordered salt and pepper squid, Mongolian beef, string beans, and stir fry udon noodles. I would recommend the udon and the Mongolian beef!

I've gone here before and found it average and as I was going to Winco and was a tad hungry I thought I'd get a little something; spring rolls and a small egg flower soup. The spring rolls were shit. Absolute shit. One was exploded and burned to a crisp. The other was a grease soaked mess, soaking through the paper and leaving a puddle on my table. Frankly, they were in such a state it was no doubt intentional. I took a picture for posterity it was that ridiculous. That's saying something as I'm too lazy to use my camera phone unless it's something really worthwhile like a dog riding a skateboard or a girl whose boob popped out while jogging. As a fat guy I was really looking forward to crispy fried goodness and got a sack of hot wet awful.

They have the best Chinese food in town. Their menus are authentic and has a variety. I like how it is not cheap tasting and they use actual ingredients. The price is a bit high but I still go back.

Food was sooo good and so was the service, we will come here again for sure. Was on a date . Date went perfect food was exactly how we imagined.

I have tried in vain for the best Chinese/Asian place in Corvallis. This far, they've been lack-luster to awful. I was pleasantly surprised with the Queen's Chopstick. I had the General Tso's chicken. Tso's is usually hot and this was only mildly spicy, which I liked. It still had that little bit of heat that I wanted without the "OMG, where is my water?!" moment. I'm a baby, I can't handle spice. The coating on the chicken was crunchy from the deep fryer still, which is a good sign. This means it didn't get to sit in a warmer and get soggy. My boyfriend had the Pad Thai, which was much spicier, but still good. The other thing I like about this place is that they bring extra sauces to you. You want hot mustard? They bring a JAR! Which will make my mom happy (I'm planning an excursion there next time she's in town). The service was wonderful! Very attentive, never let my tea run out of water. I don't know what other folks were talking about with the chopstick thing. They brought them out and, I'm sorry to say it, but if you're not an Asian person, the waitress probably assumed a fork and spoon were more your thing. Ask. You have a mouth, right? It forms sounds that communicate things to people, right? Ask for chopsticks. I do that at EVERY ASIAN PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN TO. Except this one. Because they brought them right out. Use your big people words, folks.

Amazingly great food! Nice decor, not too bland and not too much flair. when I went there for the first time, we ordered platters of Pad Thai, Sweet and Sour Chicken and a large bowl of Hot and Sour Soup. The Pad Thai was exactly like it should be, slightly sweet and tangy. the exact same story with the sweet and sour chicken; crisp with not too much sauce and not too little. The hot and sour soup was pretty good considering that the restaurant was very busy(a little watery for my taste). The service was excellent, they were checking on us like every ten minutes and my water never ran out. Plus, you can also get spice trays. where else in Corvallis can you get spice trays?! All in all? I absolutely give them 5 stars!

The style of Chinese food seems to be a cross between HK and Taiwan. If your interested in a more authentic style, you will need to ask for the "Chinese Menu". I ordered Twice Cooked Pork "Hoi Guo Rou" from the "Chinese Menu". The Pork was from the belly and was cooked correct, instead of the normal leeks, as in a Schezuan style, there was cabbage. It was good, but lacked the "zing" I was looking for in a Schezuan style Twice Cook Pork. The 2nd dish was from normal menu, which was General Tso's Chicken, It came in a pleasant dark spicy sauce, I thought they did really well with this. The prices were about $12.00 a dish, The atmosphere was a little strange, since I was eating there the night before Thanksgiving and they were playing some hip hop on the speakers. For being in Corvallis this is likely one of the better Asian restaurants in town.

Service was very good, we ordered take out and it was ready in the time they told it would be and the order was correct. Would definitely go back!

Stylish Asian food, presented proudly and tasty to boot! Visuals: The decor is pretty modern, and the plating has been pretty nice. The mixed appetizer tray was a tasty treat, with the beef skewers set atop a little grill-in-a-cup. (see photo) Service: Very attentive, as long as the restaurant is 3/4 or less full. When moderately busy, you won't go more than 5 minutes without the waiter asking how your meal is. The one time it was packed, they really need 1 more person. The food still comes out in a timely fashion, but you may be waiting for a few minutes to pay or get a drink refill. Price: Lunch special is only $6.50 for a good sized plate of food. Dinners don't run more than $15 on the higher-end. Overall, prices in line with standard Chinese takeout food, which is good considering the slightly above-average quality. Food: For the most part, everything we had was delicious and served piping hot. The fried foods, like General Tsao and Sweet and Sour chicken, are fried perfectly crispy without being overly greasy. The hot garlic chicken and beef with black bean sauce were tasty as well. I've had both egg flower and hot n' sour soups. The egg flower is a little bland, but the hot n' sour is pretty good. The one big letdown I had was the seafood bird's nest I had. The dish looked great, but the seafood was bland and a little fishy tasting. Overall, a very nice looking establishment with some good dishes. Been there 3 times this week, so they must be doing something right! Add another waiter during busy lunchtime, and a little better seafood, and it'd be 5 stars hands down.

I've been to Queen's chopstick about six times and decided it's one of the best Chinese restaurants in Corvallis. The ambiance is good, the food is consistently good, and prices aren't bad. My only complaint is that service can be slow / forgetful at times.

Real Chinese food!!!! Not like other places which are sodium overload! Any restaurant where the local population come and eat like they are home is a home run! Enjoy the real Chinese food and treat your taste buds

I recommend the lunch special here. I tried the sesame chicken here three days after opening. The restaurant is impeccable--sterile in fact--yet it didn't hold on to that nauseating fresh-paint smell. Sesame-chicken lunch specials invoke a certain image in my mind. I'm used to tiny fried bits of chicken coated in a saccharine lacquer. Queen's has improved on the old-guard chicken plate. First, the chicken comes in longish strips--which coincidentally resemble tiny squid, for those who have had the pleasure of eating them. Second, Queen's has liberated the chicken from its traditional breaded shell, opting instead for a lighter, nude presentation. These two innovations make for a much improved lunch special. I could identify exactly what I was eating--non-gristly parts of the bird. And, after lunch I didn't feel as sluggish as I would have if the chicken had been thickly breaded. If I left it here, this dish would be very good, but there's more. Queen's has flavored its sesame chicken with a very unique sauce. It carries this red-brown concoction, a break from the usual orangish sugar coating. The sauce is subtle and complex, and it finishes with a hint of cinnamon. Although the lunch special was excellent, to merit a five-star rating the restaurant needs something more. I'm appreciative of the cleanliness, but this place went beyond that; it was sterile in multiple senses of the word. As Queen's acquires a bit more character, it may eventually climb to the highest of Yelp ratings, so give it a chance.

This place is wonderful! I've been there twice, once for lunch, and once for dinner. The lunch specials are wonderful and not too expensive. I ordered General Tso Chicken, and was able to request that it was rather mild. The batter around the chicken is really crispy (they didn't take the nugget from the freezer), and the chicken is REAL chicken (not a shaped mold of white meat). Both times I've been here the service has been wonderful and very friendly. They work with your order, so if you prefer something less or more spicy you can request this. The style of the restaurant is nice and perfect for a date with a beau or a best friend. I'm sure it would be perfect for a business meeting as well, but I have not done that yet... I've also seen a bar with various items, but I have not gone during the evening. For people living locally, the Queen's Chopstick stays open late enough to have a good night with good food that isn't typical pub/bar food. Try it! It's difficult to find quality ethnic food sometimes, and this place is definitely worth your time!

The Queen's Chopstick has pretty authentic Chinese food and serves a delicious (and inexpensive) warm sake. Their decor wasn't the worst I have seen in a Chinese restaurant and the service was very friendly. So far, it is the best Chinese we have had in Corvallis.

I took my family here the other night because it happened to be close and new and we thought we'd give it a try. We weren't expecting anything spectacular. It's small and new and didn't seem to have any outward signals that this would be an above average dining experience. We were really pleasantly surprised. There were a few rough edges given how new the place is. One example is that there is a host who doesn't seem like he knew where to stand and so he kind of loomed like a security guard throughout the meal. That's really the only knock. The food tasted very fresh and flavorful. It was your standard selection of American Chinese favorites such as Kung Pao chicken, chow mein, and the like. The Bo-Bo appetizer platter was a great surprise as it comes with a miniature sterno grill to sizzle some flavor into a delicious and tender beef satay. They have an amazing garlic sauce which is really good over steamed rice and vegetables. The portion sizes are just right so you don't leave feeling like you've over eaten. The service was friendly and very helpful. They provided kids with plastic plates and utensils from Ikea. This was perfect since we have the exact set at home for our kids and it made them really comfortable with the food. We will definately be working our way through the rest of the menu really soon!

My boyfriend and I decided to go here because every time we pass by here, it's pretty crowded. When my boyfriend and I arrived there for dinner last night, we had to wait for a little bit to get seated. The place is pretty crowded with little seating, so it's best not to bring big parties here. There isn't a lot of walking space between the tables either. We decided to order the Thai Tea, Bo Bo Tray, Pad Thai, and the General Tsao chicken. I got my Thai Tea and there wasn't enough Thai Tea. It was mainly creamer or whatever they added in, so I was pretty disappointed. Then we got the Bo Bo Tray and the tray was pretty unique. There was a thing of coal in the middle where you could warm up the meats. Overall, the Bo Bo Tray was a good pick. That was the best dish of all that we ordered. We waited awhile for the rest of the food to come out and then we found out that they didn't even receive our order. Our waitress offered us free drinks on the house so my boyfriend got soda and I just got some juice. Our Thai Tea ended up being on the house also. The General Tsao chicken was okay. The Pad Thai was missing an ingredient. I couldn't put my finger on what it was missing. I ended up bringing most of the food home because we were so full. When I got home and ate the Pad Thai later, I decided to put more fish sauce in it and add more lime. At the restaurant, we weren't given enough lime and the lime was old. Overall, the place was okay but I'm not sure if we would go back.

The best Asian food we've found in Corvallis to date. The steamed dumplings could use a thinner wrap, and something mixed into the meat mixture (water chestnut, ginger) to give it texture and spice. The 3 main dishes we ordered were hot, flavorful, and worth eating again. The service was fabulous! We'll be back.

This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Corvallis, among the best anywhere. The service is efficient and friendly, and the decor is nice (none of that red naugahyde kitsch found at other places in town), but the food... augh, so good. You'll find the standards here, like kung pao dishes and beef with broccoli, but I recommend ordering off of the specials menu, as those are the real gems. The orange beef is unique and delicious, perfectly crispy without being overly breaded. The lettuce wraps are light and tasty. The bo bo tray (pupu platter, whatever) is better than any I've had, and that includes Chinatowns in both San Francisco and New York. I'm not sure what they do differently, but even the breading on the fried shrimp has actual flavor. They also have real hot mustard, not like the little packets served at a couple of places in town. The only drawback is that there's never enough rice to go with the sauces in their dinner entrées. If you want extra, to go with leftovers for example, they charge an extra $1. I've never had to pay for extra rice, especially when they don't give enough to begin with. However, since this place opened, I haven't been to any other Asian restaurant in town. Places like China Delight just can't compare. If you want to give the place a try, but you're daunted by the negative reviews regarding price, they have several lunch specials for $6.50 that include rice and soup. Not a bad way to check it out.

My husband and I joke that the queen only has one chopstick so she can't bring the food to her mouth. We had wretched food here, and my mother did as well on a separate occasion*. None of us are picky eaters. The hot and sour soup was neither, and a chicken dish was inedible. No more chances. *Update: I asked her again today about this place and she carefully enunciated, "I wish I could describe how bad the food was. In my entire life, this was in my top ten bad restaurant experiences."

This place is great. The ambiance and decor is modern; light and airy- not the red vinyl schlocky stuff of many Chinese restaurants. The food is excellent. It's slightly more upscale than you might expect, but not snobby. Vegetarians will have plenty of options. The standard dishes are excellent, but as another reviewer pointed out, straying from the specials is where its at. I fail to understand how some reviewers gave this place one star. Oh. A waitress wore perfume, rendering one reviewer 'nauseous for the rest of the day'. What a pup. This is easily the best Chinese place in Corvallis, and most probably the Willamette valley.

Ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad with a friend. We both were quite disappointed. We were served wet iceberg lettuce tossed with at white sauce and hot chopped deep fried chicken pieces that wilted the lettuce. It was a soggy mess. Very disappointed with Queen's today.

Now that my favorite little Chinese restaurant (Bento) is closed, this place has taken over the top spot. It is deserving, though. As authentic as you can get. Both food and service has always been great. Now, I base my Chinese food experience on what I've had either in San Francisco Chinatown or my mom's home cooked meals (I'm Chinese American). I highly recommend this restaurant.

I got take out today from here and it was by far the worst Pad Thai of my life!! It had zero flavor except for the huge amount of spice when I asked for mild. I also ordered chicken but the meat tasted super fishy. I ended up throwing most of it away. I don't know about the rest of the menu but never order Pad Thai here.

The food here is very good, even if the service can sometimes be hit or miss. I enjoyed the honey walnut prawns here as it is one of few places that offer this dish. Other food options are also very solid and worth the money even if it is slightly on the higher end for college students. The portion sizes are good enough, some dishes are on the smaller side. It is definitely one of the better Asian restaurants in the area. A majority of the international students, as well as myself prefer this place to many other choices.

  • Subrosa I.

The food here was awful. The pork curry was watery and dull, and General Tso's chicken was tough and dry. Unlike the food, the service was great. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Given the terrible food, the price was unduly high. Our bill averaged out to around $14 per person.

  • Vee B.

Yep, still one of our favorite places to eat! We get take away often. Chicken and rice soup is nice and soothing, now my go-to soup if I'm not feeling well. Veggie fried rice is delish! Mandarin chicken as well. Yum!

Service was actually nice , in terms of ordering/receiving the food!... or maybe it's because my family of 5 were the first to dine in at the time...but as for the food, it could have been better. Out of all the 5 dishes that we have ordered, there is really not much of a "wow this is so amazing" feel. The plating of the food is absolutely beautiful and artistic, but in sense of a taste...I don't think it qualifies yummy in my list.. This review is also not based on a first time experience, but 3rd time. Whenever my parents came into town, we would always go and dine in at Queen's. I'll give it another try in the future to see if they improve.

I stopped in for take-out, but did not have a good experience. I ordered two dishes, and asked if they each came with rice. Yes, I was told, rice with each. I paid, and the young woman who took my order said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I stepped out to go to the supermarket net door. I returned after 15 minutes, but nothing was there. 20 minutes. 25 minutes. Lots of food was coming out of the kitchen, but not mine. Finally, i asked a young guy working at the register about my order. He said he would check on it. He went back into the kitchen, came out shortly after, and proceeded to wait on other customers without saying a word to me. Several minutes later, I approached him again and asked about my order. He said something like, "Yeah, I checked on it, but I didn't see it." He then got distracted by something else. Didn't see it? What exactly was that supposed to mean? Did anyone even know about my order? I had no idea. Finally, a bit more than 30 minutes after ordering, another young person came out and handed me my food. "Sorry, but we're busy." I responded politely that, if they are that busy, then they should not have told me my food would be ready in 15 minutes. He said he didn't tell me that, and he blamed on it on the person who took my order. I walked out, and as I did, I noticed that there was only one container of rice in my bag. I returned to ask about it. "Yeah, we put them both in one container. It's a large one." I was frustrated and left. When I got home, I found that the rice container was nowhere near full, and even if it had been, it was not very large, and I can't believe it was the equivalent of two orders of rice. The Homestyle Tofu I ordered was supposed to be fried, but it was quite soft and soggy, barely distinguishable from steamed. The Kung Pao chicken was reasonably flavorful, though the sauce was pretty watery. My sense of this place is that the floor is being run by a group of young people who all mean well, but do not know how to treat customers professionally and deal with a busy restaurant. They need a good manager. I doubt that I'll return.

Alright service and good food. Went in during a lunch rush on my birthday. Happy that there were lunch options and not only family style servings. Seated promptly, but took some time to be serviced. Liked the different Asian influence in foods. They don't just target one region. This is a great spot for the international students because there's specials and options that I haven't seen elsewhere.

First time in tonight, we liked it. Brought my 6 and 7 year old to try Chinese for their first time and even they liked it. Fast, friendly service. Only down side was my son wanted chocolate milk and they don't have that but that's not a deal breaker for us :)

Well we did go back for more - last time it was delicious tho small. This time I thought we got the same thing - Chicken Curry and it was disappointingly not delicious and the sauce was watery, not thick like curry should be. And the barbecue pork tasted like it was made yesterday. Dropping to 3 stars because the service was fast and friendly but doubt we will be back.

I may have slightly higher standards since I am from the SF Bay Area. However, after seeing some good things online, I decided to give them a try. I am only giving them 3 stars because I didn't have much of a chance to try food. For their prices, I was expecting something a lot better. When I am sick, my absolute favorite thing to have is wor wonton soup. I gave them a call asking if I could make an order to go. They said yes. I asked if they had wor wonton soup. THE PERSON ON THE PHONE HAD NEVER HEARD OF WOR WONTON SOUP. I said "you know, wonton soup with vegetables and meat and shrimp and stuff in it?" And the person on the phone was like "...uh, we don't have that, but we have wonton soup with vegetables in it." I said that's fine I will take an order to go. Being sick I drove down there , got my soup, then got home. I was rather disappointed. I was expecting soup broth with some simple vegetables like broccoli, celery, carrot, mushroom, etc. However, it was chicken broth, a few leaves of lettuce (iceberg I think) and like 5 slices of mushroom. I was sick and hadn't eaten all day so it was still welcomed food, but something as simple as wonton soup should not be an unknown concept in a Chinese restaurant. Coming from a diverse place, it was surprising to walk into a Chinese restaurant and see only white folks working there, and only white folks eating there. An old tip I got from a chinese friend of mine: if you want good Chinese food, look for Chinese people eating there. If there are lots of Chinese it's probably good. No Chinese, probably pretty fake. In short, I might give it another try for simple stuff like fried rice. But I don't expect any culinary masterpieces to be coming out of a kitchen where wor wonton has never been mentioned. I give 3 stars because I don't want to judge a whole place off of it's soup alone.

Don't let the simplistic menu you fool you. Looking at it I half expected run of the mill food: greasy, tasteless, etc. It was not at all! It was fresh and delicious. Also offered many option for the health-concious. (Steamed veggies vs. fried, etc) Would go back.

Mediocre food and mediocre service combine for a 2X mediocre combo. The first time I went, the food was alright and the service was just sort of not great. The second time however, there were several problems. I was not particularly impressed with any of the dishes that anyone at my table had got, but it was the service that really drove the point home. Two of my friends had purchased an order of spring rolls. One ordered them as an appetizer, the other ordered it as his main meal. The waitress brought out a plate of spring rolls, we were content. Come the time when the main dishes were coming out, we notice that the second order of spring rolls hadn't come out yet. We ask about it, and it turns out that both orders of spring rolls had been put on the appetizer plate. The waitress failed to mention that part when she brought the order out. She apologized, and acknowledged that she made a mistake, but did nothing else. There were other things as well, but that was the main one. I doubt I'll be back a third time. There's better Chinese places in Corvallis.

The pad-thai was okay, nothing to write home about, and the service was quiet and gracious. But my mom found a PIECE OF GLASS in her noodles. Yeah, you heard me right, a piece of yellow glass was buried in her food. NASTYYY. She showed it to the kitchen, and they didn't even ask about waving the fee.

First of all, I haven't tried other Chinese restaurants in town, so I can't compare it with them. The menu was somewhat americanized, and the price was very high for the kind of food on the menu, but the portion was big. The food tasted better than we expected though.

This place is a hit or miss for me. The food is great. Broccoli chicken is great! However, the service can be slow and people of asian decent seem to get served 2x faster than others. They even get a different menu! It's kind of weird. Take out is the best way to go. I think they give you more food that way.

Very good experience here tonight. They have a nice menu selection, of both food and drink. The items we ordered were very good overall and the service was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is nice, considering the shopping center location. We'll be going back regularly I think.

After a recommendation from my husband's co-worker, we decided to check this place out. We went early on a Saturday night, and there was only one other couple dining there. The decoration in the restaurant was sleek and stylish. The host and waiter were very professional. However, there were certain things that struck me as being odd. First of all, the prices were a little high for Chinese food. They also served soda out of cans. For a place looking that trendy with those prices, that seemed weird. Only beer and wine service despite having a bar. There wasn't a lot of variety on the menu, either. Overall, it was a little uncomfortable with the waitstaff constantly hovering and for the price, the portions were a little thin (we didn't have any leftovers). I just don't know if we'll be back soon.

Just ate from there 2nd time, take out this time, LOVED the lettuce wrapped chicken, lean and mean, excellent spring rools, kids were very happy with chicken fried rice and mandarin chicken, Hubby now knows they mean business when they say spicy :-) Lovely and witty waiters. Anytime again!

Good, standard Asian-American fare, including some curries and several vegetarian options. Nice atmosphere. Several smallish tables. Seating for large groups could be difficult without advance notice/reservations. Good sake and local beer selections. Can get busy in the evenings and service slows down a bit. No child changing station in either bathroom. Might be a bit small of a place for young children and toddlers.

Very tasty and enjoyable meal. I had the orange beef and my lunch mate had the chicken lettuce wraps and we shared all that and the appetizer sampler. Everything was good, the orange beef is breaded lightly and fried and has just enough sauce and flavor. The lettuce wraps were well seasoned and the lettuce was very crisp, very well chilled iceberg. The appetizer sampler was quite a sight. It is a sort of tower with a flaming torch kind of thing in the center you use to heat the meat on a skewer. Everything was good on that including the spring roll and BBQ pork which was moist and tender. I would recommend the place and go again myself.

The service is good here and I really enjoy the decor of the restaurant. The food is pretty undesirable now though. We have gone 3 times now and the rice is always cooked unevenly and they absolutely have no idea how to cook tofu. The tofu is always mushy and undercooked and tastes terrible. The only thing I really enjoy about this restaurant is the Hot and Sour soup. I will never eat at this place again.

This place has a variety of Asian foods, so it's not just Chinese. Our table had the "healthy" lettuce cups, honey walnut prawns, and the happy family. The food starting coming out about 5 minutes after we ordered, never a good sign, as it indicates reheating rather than actual cooking to order. The lettuce cups were very greasy, like dripping down your hand greasy. And calling it healthy just because it contains lettuce is really a stretch. The meat was crispy, probably deep fried, and the whole dish was too salty. The happy family tasted funky, like too much bamboo shoot sitting around too long, the beef was chewy, and the seafood tasted off. The honey walnut prawns were super sweet and again, the seafood was funky. The rice was not fresh, the taste and texture was that of old rice that was reheated, probably in a microwave. Not acceptable at any restaurant, let alone an Asian one. I won't go back.

nice! this is just what corvallis needs! after living here all through my youth and college years, this is a step up from the usual king tin or the now defunct fung's. dishes were fresh and presented very nicely and the restaurant was very clean and well-lit. after browsing the standard menu and not finding much that interested me, except the house noodle soup, our server suggested the "eastern fare" menu--which was sort of a chef's list written in chinese on an old bill. refreshing to have lightly fried soft tofu, sauteed veggies and salt-pepper head on shrimp in this town. also nice that they don't use the same brown sauce all the time. the three specialty dishes were priced a little higher than the standard fare, and higher in comparison to other restaurants (probably all those big prawns), but were definitely quality. recommended!

So far the best Chinese food we've had in Corvallis. Yummy sesame chicken.

Heard this place was the closest to authentic chinese food in Corvallis. So my friend and I decided to try out the place. The quality (taste) of the food was not up to "Authentic" standards, it's a bit more Americanized. Price for dishes are reallyoverpriced for chinese food. On the bright side, good atmosphere and good service, staff is friendly.

Best Chinese food in Corvallis - no question. This is not your typical Chinese place. Lovely place, friendly owner, high quality food, simple menu. This is not the typical fast food, slimy American version of Chinese food. It is really good!

On a sterling recommendation , we decided to try this new place. We opted for takeout, and got four dishes; BBQ Pork, Sesame Chicken, Garlic Eggplant, and White Rice. Queen's Chopstick may be one of the few Asian restaurants that doesn't know how to make rice; it was lumpy and utterly tasteless. And they had the nerve to make the rice a $2.00 option. The BBQ pork appetizer was pretty good, with a nice flavor of 5-spice powder, but overpriced at $6.50 for a couple ounces of meat. The Sesame Chicken was pink, which made for a strange presentation. The meat was slimy and not easily recognizable as chicken, being more like mystery meat, and utterly tasteless. It was a good-sized portion of chicken, but there were literally fewer than 10 snow peas in the dish. Had we eaten in the restaurant, we would have sent it back. The garlic eggplant was actually pretty good with well-rounded flavor and just the right touch of heat. We will not be going back to this place, as it appears to be hit-or-miss in the taste department. Perhaps better that other Asian fare in Corvallis, but that's not saying a whole lot.
