Best Breakfast in Corvallis!! The Oregon Coast seriously needs an Elmer's. I've been going to Elmer's since I was a kid when my Grandmother would take me there in Tigard. When I was attending OSU, I would come here for breakfast almost every day and study. Great Service, Great Food! The owners, Patty and Louis are awesome and as nice as they come. Just damn good food. They will make it anyway you like. Try the Blueberry Hazelnut Pancake Combo with berry syrup and the chicken sausage with eggs the way you like 'em. I used to go cut 3-6 cords of firewood after a breakfast like that. Seriously good food.

My dad and I have just had another good brunch here. We both had the special--a three sausage omelet with green and red bell peppers, onions with a sauce. Two biscuits came with it. It also came with your choice of hash browns or mixed fresh fruit. Good coffee too. The service was very good too.

Great service and good food. Everybody was happy and full. Only thing I could suggest is the yolk for the Eggs Benedict could be runny instead of cooked almost solid but they were still yum!

Yummy German pancakes. Surprisingly good traditional breakfast for a chain. Attentive service.

I don't know how this place stays in business. I'm not stuck up... I like food in general, half the time it doesn't even have to be very good. In fact I'm a fan of Sheri's right next door, its relatively cheap and has relatively good food. We wandered in here one night because we were sick of all the options and wanted to try somewhere we hadn't been before. The wait staff was friendly, albeit a little strange, the restaurant was clean and quiet, and had the ambiance of a rest-home. We ordered chicken fried steak, and hazelnut crusted cod, two of the more expensive dinner items on the menu. The food came suspiciously fast. The chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and green beans and carrots was edible, but just barely. The veggies were greasy but tasty, the mashed potatoes were ok too, but very salty, and the chicken fried steak was pasty, greasy, and as I said, just barely edible. I had broccoli cheese soup also, it was fine but incredibly greasy and salty. I was starving so it made it all that much more palatable. I still didn't finish it. The hazelnut "crusted" cod came with the same green beans and carrots, "rice pilaf" which was just rice, with an unidentifiable extra flavor, and a salad. The sides were poor quality and still the best part of the meal. The fish was downright inedible. This was my girlfriends meal, i took one bite, then she tried to get me to help her with the rest so she didn't look rude, but i couldn't do it. It was doused in grease, poorly cooked and flavored, and made me lose my appetite. Then there's the price, we each got an entree and i got a rootbeer, and our total bill was over 30$ You can get a FAR better meal at many restaurants in town for that price, and a much better meal for much less at many more. I regret everything about our decision to eat here. There's absolutely no reason to choose this place.

We have been enjoying Elmer's food, atmosphere, and service for the last 4 years, visiting around once per month. I think we've become addicted to the Idaho Potato Pancakes, the French Toast, and the big ol' Hungry Rancher Breakfast. They get my eggs perfect every time and I'm weird with my over medium well orders... The staff are great. They are helpful and friendly of course but more importantly they are on the ball. It's consistently quick service even when the place is busy, and being a former server myself I can appreciate that.

There is nothing like the German Pancake for breakfast at Elmers today!! The Corvallis Elmers is locally owned by Luis and Patty Perez - rally nice people who meet and greet diners as they arrive. Elmers is a great family style American restaurant with good prices and great lunch specials! - brings back my childhood memories of traveling up and down 1-5 and eating at Elmers along the way with my family - a real tradition for pancakes. Affordable, wholesome American food. #CorvSMB

Elmer's used to be way better. I went here last week, and ordered Eggs Benedict. I made sure to order the eggs soft-poached. They came out hard poached, and there were bits of shell on them. The hash browns were almost non-existent, by which I mean there was- and I'm being generous here- perhaps 1/4 cup of browns on my plate, coupled with a mere drizzle of Hollandaise over the eggs. This wasn't just poor plating, it was puny. The service was excellent, which is what keeps me from giving one star. Too bad, really. Elmer's used to be a go-to place for a decent chain restaurant breakfast.

Definitely will come back to this diner (for the food). We were immidiately seated when we entered the restaurant. Our service was ok. It took a while for our server to come check on how we were doing. At a time, we had to hunt down our server but the food was AWESOME. I ordered the German Pancake......IT IS A MUST. It's HUGE and VERY tasty. Overall, it's worth coming back to because of the food.

Similar to Sheri's but more bland.

Think of it as just an American Dinner and not that much more. My father and I had cheese burgers and that wasn't very inspiring. The prices were not the best, but there probably are places that are worse. The good thing about this is that if you are staying at a hotel nearby, they'll give you a 10% discount. Pretty good.

I really like the Elmer's in Corvallis. The food is home style and consistently good as is the service. The menu includes a wide variety which is nice because we have picky eaters aka. children. :-) The manager even telephoned us to tell us we left something at the restaurant. My favorite is the dutch baby. Yum.

We go here frequently. Though the staff changes, we've always found them to be very friendly and good. The food is always hot and tasty. We'll keep going back.

Literally heard a manager yell at a waiter for not writing good enough on his notes after digging them out of the trash...in front of all the customers

The staff was excellent and service was very good. My rating is based on the lack of vegan choices (none). They don't even offer soy or almond milk for their oatmeal, which was highly overpriced, I thought, at $6.99. If I can't eat there I don't see any need to go back. My wife did like her strawberry crepes though.

My dad and I were at Elmer's last Sunday for brunch and we requested an off-menu item (bacon-filled Belgian waffles). The waitress was happy to check for us and the kitchen said they'd do it. The waffles were great and I wish Elmer's would add this item to the regular menu!
