Yet another new and welcomed restaurant opens in Carlton! Farmer's Plate and Pantry serves a menu of casual but nicely thought out items, emphasizing local ingredients. Including breakfast. Very fresh, very tasty. I've been for lunch, menu of sandwiches, pizzas, soups. Homemade potato chips are to die for, especially when they're sprinkled with blue cheese powder! The "pantry" part of the name refers to shelves and coolers of some of their own items (pickles, pizza dough) as well as other interesting local ingredients (like the aforementioned blue cheese powder). In the future, they've said they'll do classes/workshops, etc. and lots of other interesting stuff. Definitely worth a visit when in Carlton. They've just open, I *think* they're open Friday-Monday, don't know if that will expand and if so when... They're in the spot of the former Cielo Blu --- but they've really opened up the space, it is now bright, airy, and cheerful!

Wow talk about a shining gem in a other wise drab and dreary area to grab a great lunch/dinner after touring the excellent sorounding wineries. I had the calamari for an appetizer. You could tell it was fresh and not the pre frozen crap that gets thrown out there. For a drink i ordered a mohito that was made from their house fresh mint. A lot of times mohitos are too sweet and artificial.. This was right on point. Ordered the Salmon BLT for entrée and it was amazing!!! Staff and owners very welcoming and professional. Would recommend this place to anyone who's is looking for a great place to eat after a day at the local wineries.

The real winner is the salmon BLT. Scrumptios. Parmesan potato chips and pulled pork are great as well. Service is very friendly!

Delicious! Highly recommend sharing everything because it is all so good. Breakfast burritos with kale, eggs and sausage are enormous. Biscuits and gravy do not disappoint!

They make a good burger and sandwich. The fries were standard and the environment is nice and open if you and your friends are in a tasting tour. Put it on your list if you need a lunch stop in your back pocket.

We are "regulars" since discovering this great little restaurant. It is a perfect combination of fresh ingredients and superb chefs. No matter WHAT you order, it is always delicious. Lovely wines to accompany your meals and, do be tempted to have dessert ... Scrumptious!! Dennis & Nancy I.

This place is right in downtown Carlton, We wanted to get some food before we went wine tasting. I have been here once before for a wine pick up party and had some pizza which was pretty good. We all ordered off the brunch menu this time as they serve brunch until 11:00 AM before switching over to their regular lunch menu. My friend ordered biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. My wife ordered the fried chicken with biscuits and gravy with potatoes and greens, I had biscuits and gravy with eggs over medium and potatoes with greens, Sensing a theme here? Yes, the biscuits and gravy is great here. Sausage gravy is perfectly savory without being overly salty and had nice little chunks of sausages. Never thought to put roasted/skillet cooked potatoes with greens, but it works. It was a tasty combo. Service is quick and friendly and ambiance is casual and relaxed. They even have a couple of sofas to just sit back; read some of the books they have on the bookcases and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine,

Ate dinner here while driving through. Looked it up on Yelp and came pretty highly recommended. It's a pretty quaint place and I liked the vibe going on. I do think though, the kitchen area should be walled off a bit. A little too exposed. I'm not sure what this place is trying to be though. It's part pizza place (kind of limited in toppings though) and a few other items, though small number of items and then a special three course meal like it's trying to be high end. Had the pizza this time and it's pretty decent. Definitely not bland. My first impression on the first bite was this is salty and since I drank 3 big glasses of water, I'm still thinking salty. That said, plenty of herbs and cheesy goodness on a very thin crust pizza. It's served on a stonelike platter. That works, the first couple of slices are crispy, but as with all thin crust, it gets a bit floppy as it cools off. Overall, a pretty cool place to go for a meal. I would probably give it a try again if I was in the area.

-TERRIBLE BURGER TERRIBLE PIZZA- I was there over the Memorial Day Weekend (THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE SERVED) while on my biannual foodie crawl of the Pacific Northwest with my wife and favorite cousin. (I will be posting those awesome eateries shortly).

SO GOOD. We were skeptical about the dining arrangements, with 6 people in the kitchen and less customers, but the food was amazing. The GF roll was one of he best I've ever had, and we watched them cook giant pork loins and prep for lunch while we ate! It also became much more inhabited while we dined, and I can see why. The only bummer was my over easy eggs were over hard. Otherwise a score of a find!

What a great place to start the day. I love everything about the Farmers Plate and Pantry--the food is always fresh, flavorful, and sumptuous; the chef, calm and yet exuding flair and confidence; the coffee is the best (Longbottom), the staff friendly and enthusiastic about the menu, and the tall ceilings and rustic decor perfectly suit the fare. Bloody Mary's are popular here and e served with a huge array of condiments. Today I tried and loved the caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella and two eggs over medium. Carlton is very fortunate to have this restaurant--and the competent and gracious people running it--they make a huge difference and provide a great service to this town.

Cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza. Yummy. The ambiance is great! It's a small menu but delicious. Very New York style pizza. I would definitely eat here again.

The pizza is fantastic. Easily the best pizza in the area. The soups are consistently amazing, hearty and everything is house made! Local ingredients from local farms. And it tastes that way! Take some of their canned goods, pizza dough and sauce home to make your own farm to fork feast.

Very yummmmy! The house chips are super good. You definitely get what you pay for! We had the meatball sub & artisan cheese pizza. Very flavorful & filling. Definitely taking an order of the house chips home! Service staff was very courteous & helpful. Recommended!!

Just one week after opening I have heard nothing but good things about Farmer's Plate and Pantry. Their emphasis on fresh and local ingredients is what brought me in. You can order a sandwich or pizza and have it be gluten free without handing over your whole wallet. I had to order something I could eat on the run so I ordered a GF pizza. Many GF baked goods taste GF and just do not compare to a good Artisan bread. The pizza crust was not made in house but the brand they are using is great and you could not tell that it was GF. Thumbs up on the choice of pizza crust. The lady that took my order was very friendly, answered all my questions and was told that the menu changes weekly. I will definitely be back and look forward to more fresh products in the summer from the owner's farm.

Bummed for the second time. When the owner cooks the food is great. When the staff cooks the food is not great. Didn't find the new staff to be very professional. Also called a few times to see if they were open and no one answered and took weeks to get a call back letting me know their hours changed. Their menu also is more limited now. Just seems like pizza and a few sandwiches now, well for dinner time. :(

We were very impressed by our dinner here. Our salad (Farmer's Chef) was delicious with pickled beets and feta on greens with the perfect amount of dressing. We got the full size and it was a generous serving to split between two of us. The highlight was the artisan white pizza: Dungeness crab with asparagus. Yum! The fried bread pudding dessert was a tasty and rich way to end the meal. The service was fantastic, very fast and friendly. It was a comfortable place to bring our one year old and they didn't mind our mess. I also found it to be reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food. The market is fairly small, but I was happy to go home with a jar of local honey. We will definitely be back!

We stopped for lunch while out wine tasting. Incredibly good food in a friendly atmosphere. I had a salmon BLT and my husband had a chicken po boy. So fresh and so tasty. Very generous portions. The house made chips are awesome. Great lunch spot.

I went here today and thought the sandwich was great! I had a tuna melt and salad. It was reasonably priced and I was happy. A nice alternative to Horse Radish. I'll be back! :)

We ordered a breakfast burrito and a hamburger. After waiting almost an hour we had them refund our money and left. Do not go here unless you're ok with reading War and Peace while waiting for your food. They weren't even that busy!

Great meal and friendly staff. Welcomed warmly as soon as we walked in. Good variety of lunch items from sandwiches to soups to pizzas. And cold beer as well. Don't miss it. Owned by a NJ man too.

Stopped by while on a wine tasting trip. Nice selection! We had the ham and swiss on rye with a side salad. The sandwich was really good and so was the salad.

Fantastic, fresh and flavorful food with great service. I'm still dreaming about the potato parmesan slices and the fried bread pudding . . . yum! Ordering is done at a counter so there isn't wait service per se but we were checked on regularly and felt well taken care of. I hope to return.

We stumbled upon this place in the middle of the cute downtown shops in Carlton. Intending to get a small snack, we ended up ordering three, because they all sounded so delicious! The Parmesan chips, garlic knots, and BBQ chicken sliders, offer a fresh and unique variety of flavors to try out. There are also beautiful cedar prints for sale, as well as fresh spices, seeds, and beer for sale. The cook gladly explained the ingredients to one of the dips, without any reservations and was very friendly! You have to stop by here for a delicious snack!

I wish I hadn't waited so long to try this new restaurant. Fantastic breakfast menu and really good food. I had the "2 Eggs My Way " that came with potatoes and a biscuit. I also ordered a side of salsa for the eggs, jam for the biscuit. Everything was fresh and homemade and delicious. They also have incredible bloody Mary's and a great bloody Mary bar to add veggies, etc. to your drink. They look like they have a good selection of beer and food to go as well. I'll be back next weekend for sure.
