I can't tell you how much I love this place. Great food and incredibly good value. Try the Super Burrito Enchilada style. Also try the Pastor Pork.

Best torta sandwiches we've been able to find in Bend.

Good Mexican food which is not hard to come by in Central OR. So if you are in the area and are looking for good consistent Mexican swing in to SB and order the carnitas. make local habit!

Great burrito palace in Bend. The farther I get from Mexican border, the more skeptical I get about Mexican restaurants in the US. Happily for Bend residents and travelers, Super Burrito gives up nothing to its southern ilk in CA, TX, AZ, etc. Although Super Burrito's address is on Wall St, it's front door is on Newport, so you won't be able to see it from Wall St. There are only a few parking spots in front on Newport, so be prepared to scout around for a parking space. There is a reasonably spacious eating area inside with around a dozen tables. For warmer weather, there is also an outdoor patio, but I am unclear whether there are tables out there (OK, it was dark and below freezing out, so I wasn't interested....) Not sure what one reviewer was saying about it being dirty, unorganized, etc. For a taqueria-type joint, I thought it was fairly clean and neat. Sure, it's not fru-fru like some of the fine dining establishments a block away, but for a $5 lunch spot, you've got to scale your expectations, bro! Order and pay at the counter, grab a table and they will bring you your food when ready. There is a small salsa bar with free chips to keep yourself occupied while you wait. All four of us got burritos - veggie, carnitas, shredded beef, and chicken. All tasted great, terrific flavor and decent portion size for the money. Using our Super Burrito decoder ring, we figured out that the "super" burritos have a chile relleno embedded inside, while the "supreme: versions have rice and sour cream added. You can go full boat and combine them both for maximum mass. I liked the carnitas best - a mix of crispy bits and tender pork, nice mild flavor. For the adventurous, they have traditional Mexican meat options like beef tongue, tripe, and the ever popular cabezas :-) Nice people, good service, large portions, low price. Sounds like a winner to cheapskate skiers like me!

My favorite lunch spot for over 10 years. Cheap, quick and delicious.

This is a very good taqueria that has had consistent quality for at least ten years. The homemade salsas are excellent. The daily specials are always a safe bet, and their featured chicken tostadas are especially good. Other good picks include the al pastor tacos, the carnitas, and the chicken burrito.

I came to Bend visiting one of my relatives and he suggested Super Burrito for lunch. I walked in and the first thing I thought was "ehhhh". Most of the surrounding restaurants are very nice and clean, but def not this place. I walked into Super Burrito and it was dirty, very unorganized and sketchy. Their menu is very confusing and it's hard to even know what they serve. The staff was not the nicest group of people and they could not really help explain what was on some of their menu items. It didn't even feel like I was in a Mexican restaurant. I felt like I was in a dirty cafeteria. On the good side, the food was actually pretty good. I got a burrito supreme with carnitas. It was nothing special, but it def filled me up. There was a good serving size of all of the ingredients in my burrito. Overall, I would Probably try something new instead of coming back to the Super Burrito.

I revise my prior decision. I just had to had somethings that I really like- it took a few trips but I found it! Carnitas tacos! Yum yum! The service is ALWAYS good. I have also been to the Super Burrito in Redmond, a bit more quaint but still very good. Go and try!!

When these guys were across from Toomies you couldn't get a seat. Now that they have moved seating is no problem and the food is still to my satisfaction. Their stuffed all meat burrito chili relenno is usually my choice ALTHOUGH I like their specials "Two cheese enchiladas, rice and beans for $6" - reminds me of my California Tex Mex days. And how can anyone complain about the service - It's self serve. Today I'm going to the Cascade Theater and dinner will be at Super Burrito !! A fine day for me

No, there is really nothing super about this place. Oh wait! The lunch service was super, "super slooow". The "super" burrito is packed full of refried beans and very little meat or anything else. Their flavors are drab & bland. Parking is limited. C'mon, if your going to have a variety of hot sauces put a little "heat" in at least one of them. What is that red sauce; watered down catsup??? I knew I should have stopped at Roberto's or Rigobertos; a lot cheaper too. Salute.

Whenever I'm craving for a veggie burrito, I head here. It not only fills me up, but gives me the authentic mexican experience I sometimes miss from SoCal.

Cheap quick taco stand style Mexican food. Pretty good. Try the Super Burrito with relleno inside. Try it.

Barely enjoyable very low brow low quality fare. Kinda amazing that people like this place. I think Taco Bell is better.

I just ate my second to the last meal from Super Burrito. And it was fabulous!!! One of the few places downtown for a quick, cheap bite to eat - this Bend establishment's last day of business is Friday, August 3, 2007. If you are a fan of Super Burrito I hope you will pay your respects. Their lease was terminated to make room for another cutesy downtown boutique. :( Good bye, Super Burrito! You will be missed!!

One of the best Mexican restaurants downtown. Pretty much anything on the menu is an excellent choice, with a reasonable price. Very busy during lunch hours, but they are open into the evening so you can go for dinner as well. Don't expect to be able to get a table during lunch- there are only 5 tables. The same employees are always there (family owned... I'm pretty sure), and they are friendly and helpful. One downside is that they are closed on Sundays... something that has inconvenienced my friends and I on more than one occasion.

ok, maybe i am just getting burnt out on mexican food in this town (is that even possible?), but i have to say... I'm not impressed. their meat was bland and completely unseasoned, their carnitas had huge chunks of blubbery fat in it, ugh. my husband got the super burrito with the chili relleno in it... and apparently that was delicious. i had a bite and it was, well... it was good, but certainly not amazing. the taquitos were fresh hot and tasty. whats up with no chips though? what do they do with their left over tortillas?

Great family environment and awesome food with big portions all at a great price. What's not to like? We are a big family and we were able to stretch our dollars at this place. We ate there a few times as we vacationed. Will be a stop when we come back into town.

We stopped in for some takeout tonight. The burritos are fantastic! We had one chili verde and one al pastor. We also had chilaquiles, a quesadilla, and a fish taco. All were good but the burritos stand out.

Very good burritos at the perfect price point. The complementary chips and salsa were great to snack on while waiting for the burritos to come out. Indoor and outdoor dining options are both nice. Overall an excellent experience, I will definitely be back!

Awesome place very tasty and authentic!! Homemade horchata, one of my favorites 2nd best horchata in town thus far. The burritos are great though, not much atmosphere though and not much indoor seating, get your order to go and walk the 100 feet across the parking lot to dine one the park by the Deshchutes River!! This a staple for my wife and I!! Cheap and tasty high quality too!

Not the cleanest place, or particularly speedy attentive service, BUT 4 stars for the excellent, authentic Mexican food. Will definitely be returning

This place was a little hard to find because it's basically in an office building, but once we found it, we were pleasantly surprised. I got a delicious bean and cheese burrito with the exact correct amount of bean to cheese ratio. My hubby loved his $7 special chicken fajita platter. This place is very reasonably priced and the food tastes great!

First time here. I ordered the chicken super burrito and I found it to be excellent. It was made with chicken, refried beans, rice, cheese, avocado sauce, and fresh salsa. The service was quick and I was very satisfied with the portion.

Really cheap but good tasting, authentic Mexican food. They are always super friendly and accommodating. They don't have vegetarian tacos on the menu but they always make them for me if I ask.

This place makes really good Mexican food. I grew up in west Texas and have been to border towns in Mexico many times. The food is not 100% authentic but I think they have had to improvise to satisfy the local customer base. I really like the Chile Verde burrito and the green chicken enchiladas.

The food was pretty good and inexpensive. Came on a Friday night and there was no wait at all. Food came out quickly as we took it to go. Nachos were awesome and I also got the vegetarian burrito. Will definitely be coming back. Only complaint is that the salsa bar didn't look very fresh

Went here while staying in Bend on vacation. I love Mexican and this place was not up to par. Got the fish tacos (3) for a good price, but underwhelming fish with iceberg lettuce and a few tomatoes. Sauces left a little to be desired. If we were to go back I'd try something else.

Wow. I got my 2 lb burrito fix of the night. It was so. Good. Go here if you want legit 'dirty' mexican food. Taqueria legit.

I stopped in here randomly with the entire family this summer while on a trip to see some friends in Bend. The service wasn't real quick but the food was hot and pretty tasty. The salsa was spicy (which is always a plus). Also, the portions were large and we totally over-ordered. We also could sit outside which was great for the kids because they were "starving" as they like to say and they could run around to take their mind off it as we waited.

My first impression of this place was wow, i can't believe burritos at $5.50 taste this good. But I've been back on two more occasions, once I got the al pastor burrito and the next time I had the chorizo burrito and neither tasted very good. The quality of the meat was just off, though I like the tortillas. Not sure what's going on here, hope they aren't going downhill.

Super Burrito is awesome, their food is superior to anything else I've had in Bend, and I went to a very pricey eatery nearby that had slow service and awful food... But Super Burrito has quick service, very, very reasonable prices. The food is hot, tasty and fresh. the carne asada-tops chicken/pollo-awesome service-superior the tortillas are freshly made, not the store bought doughy stuff. They're also crispy, plus, you get free chips that are hot!

Little hole in the wall. BIG ol Burrito. It's really that simple of a place.

Be careful of their so called specials. I'm boycotting this place for awhile. Often order their chile rellano plate which comes with 2 chile rellanos but the last time I went it was their "special" of the day. Normally 7.50 but only 6.00 as their special of the day. Except it came with only one chile rellano. They charge 2.50 a piece for rellanos so it was a real rip off. Other than that one experience I've always loved the place.

Awesome Burritos. I love their stuff. Killer prices and their verde sauce is the best in town.

Awesome food. If you choose to eat Taco Bell or Chipotle for lunch over this place, you're a moron. Very reasonably priced. I was in town for 36 hours and ate here twice.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
