The food is always excellent here and the customer service is even better!! The restaurant is always clean and well-kept. Sometimes they run out of something of course but it's never too long of a wait. The main reason I am writing this review right now (on Monday 8-3-15) however is because I am thoroughly impressed... 10 minutes before closing tonight an entire baseball team walks in (20+ people) and all order full meals to eat "for here". If it was me I would've kindly asked them to come back another night at least an hour before close and try to call ahead with such a large party. But the staff gladly opened their kitchen back up (it was all but completely shut down for the night) and kept serving up orders with a smile. That is exceptional customer service in my book!

Not sure what to think. We drove up and parked and our 8 and 9 year old grandchildren read the large banner on the front of the building describing "Wednesday family fun days. Games and prizes. 11-8pm." They were so excited. It was Wednesday just before noon. We get inside. No signs of fun. Wait a long time to be helped. Obviously short staffed. And not very happy staff. Drive thru- no waiting. They were obviously to be serves first. We finally get to the register. We ask about "family fun day". She responds, " yah, that's on Wednesdays. " I say, today's Wednesday. She says, it is? I thought it was Monday. She says, yay, I think it starts at two. No, I said, the sign says 11. Oh wow. I'll have to tell Jess to get the games out. We ate our food. The kids kept asking, when's it going to start? Anyway...false advertising. Quite a let down.

Experienced the drive-though recently. There was no one ahead of us and our orders were correct when we received them. We received our food quickly but there was only one fortune cookie was in our bag...so sad. I can't give anything more than three stars due to the quality of the food in general. I often find myself chowing down on broccoli beef and then questioning the origin of the meat...and then trying hard not to think about it. Same with the shrimp... At least they have brown rice now!

The best Panda Express I've been to! The food was fresh and delicious. The steak was tender, veggies nicely al dente and my super picky son loved the walnut shrimp. The service was very quick, accurate and efficient, which is all I ever ask for. The employees did look like they were tired and harried, but that's to be expected with an assembly line of people pouring through. The restaurant was clean too. When we left an employee was already nearby to clean up our crumbs.

We had the pleasure of being served reddish/pink teriyaki chicken breast...and to our dismay, the server put it BACK in the container where all the other cooked chicken breasts were. Kind of gross..and to top it off, the server says " oh...it looks like its still raw"...back in the container it went, contaminating all the other meat. Gross. And im bummed because I actually kind of liked panda express. Not anymore...

Being from out of town, it's always nice to be comforted with the sight of a familiar restaurant. Now, that's not to say I don't like trying new things; because I do quite frequently. But for a quick place to eat, I enjoy a little panda. This location is clean, friendly, and the food was fresh. I did come in during the lunch rush, so it took a little longer than normal. Otherwise a good experience.

Horrific. Been to this location a few times and tonight will have to be the last. Yelp says they close at 10pm... the front door to the restaurant says 9:30. My husband and I walked in at 8:20 and they had all the chairs stacked on the tables, were sweeping the floors... Did not greet us or say hi. The cashier who was sweeping at the moment said nothing, set his broom aside like he was annoyed, and started to "serve" us. As we sat down at one of the booths to eat, TWO employees began vigorously mopping next to our table. In our direction, just a foot away from us. At 8:30, another customer came in and had no choice but to walk over the drenched floor. The employees, again, said nothing. just watched him walk across the restaurant to the counter. One of the employees even turned the OPEN signs off, hovering over our table from the booth behind us. I was getting so irritated by the incessant mopping and sweeping, that my husband and I decided to leave. As we were walking out, the MANAGER and two employees were just standing around and did NOT say a word to us. I took a photo of the clock in our car as we were leaving, and a photo of the restaurant an hour before close... My husband and I both understand working in a store/restaurant, and we are the LEAST picky people I know. We will eat any dish served to us in a restaurant even if the waiter got our orders completely wrong, but this... was OUTRAGEOUS.

Our family loves Panda, just not this one. We live close by and we were excited to see it built but the quality quickly faded. We have been sold orange chicken without the orange sauce because they were out and they figured it wasn't important to tell us that before ordering and discovering it when we got home. We steer clear of this one now. My son left his retainer on the table one night so we called to see if they could hold it for us, which they agreed, we went back 2 days later and it had magically disappeared. We filed a loss report with the manager and never heard from them again about it. We find ourselves going to the Redmond one and receiving quality food and service every time.

Went through the drive through and when I asked what was vegetarian they were VERY rude about not serving vegetarian meals and sounded very annoyed that I would even ask such a question. Some politeness would have gone a long way. Needless to say I drove right through without getting anything.

They do a good job for what they are, Americanized Chinese food. You might have to wait a bit for service as they are always crowded. The up side to this is that the food has always been fresh. We all know that this isn't "real" Chinese food but it is pretty good. Staff seems friendly if a bit harried by trying to keep up with the crowd.

I think that this is the worse Panda ever! I don't know why my family and I continue to go back other than the fact its the only one in town. Every time, and I mean EVERY time we go our meals are incorrect. I worn you now....don't ever go to this place...they can care less about the quality of their food and the service they provide.

We moved to Bend from Los Angeles where I had a Panda Express one mile down Sunset Blvd. from my house. When we found out there was a Panda in Redmond we went once or twice but I refuse to drive 20 miles for anything, so I flipped my lid when Panda came to Bend! The manager John is amazingly awesome, he remembers us every time (probably because we are there twice a week) and sometimes we get freebies (shhh). The service is slow, maybe it's the newness of the employees? Most of the time the customers have no idea how/what to order and we end up in line behind some Bendite who has never tasted the magic of Panda. It isn't "authentic" Chinese food by any means, but it's consistent, and it's Panda. That's enough of an argument for me. We will eat here forever and ever even if we have to wait in line forever and then wait again for fresh cream cheese rangoons to be made (worth it). YUM! [Also,as difficult as it may be to hold it together, try not to steal the beverages from the self-serve soda dispenser - it's juvenile and not a good look. If you want soda, buy a cup. Self-Serve does not mean free. ]

The food is great for a drive through Asian food restaurant. I think it is better than some of the sit downs. Only problems, is sometimes a long wait, or not getting the orders correct. Always check your order before you leave to be sure they got it right.

Gave it three tries. First time was decent with the Bejing Beef. Second time OK with Kohbari Beef. Third time ordered the Bejing Beef and got some weird tasting sweet sour beef. The service is so-so. Either they are slow to make the plate or it's a long wait for the cashier. Environment is very noisy between kitchen noise and hwy 97 noise. Probably won't go back. They do a good business so the dishes appear to be freshly made. Did notice the portion size varied on each visit. Order water and then help your self to the self service soda dispenser. Don't confuse this with healthy or low fat food. High fat content in most items.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
