Bland. The Tamale was a huge wad of tasteless masa. And I am able to make tastier Enchiladas at home. At least the air conditioning works. Surely, Bend has better Mexican.

Good margaritas, decent food, indifferent service. Server walked by and asked if everything was ok without stopping for an answer - and we actually wanted something. Overall, just ok.

Drinks are fabulous. It was a crowded restaurant with excellent curtious service. Our food was delicious. I had a mexican ceaser salad...sounds odd but absolutely wonderful. The hubby had Chilli Rellenos. ..yummy too. We'll be return customers for sure ;) Even the kids had fun.

Food not yummy. Mexican ground beef has never been so screwed up. Weird flavor. Location is awesome - Id be here once a week if the food was good but I'll never bother with food here again. The bar is probably fine though! People were nice

Love having this cozy Mexican restaurant in our neighborhood. The service is efficient and the margaritas super. Food is fresh and innovative and I enjoy the atmosphere. Kids are welcome too. Head out to the SW end of Brookswood and you won't be sorry.

We are regulars for take out. The service is always just okay. We decided today that we would go in and have lunch. It was Friday at 1245. We waited with waters for 10minutes. We placed our order and waited 35 minutes for food, only to have the wrong food given to me. The staff was severely understaffed and it was a full restaurant. Two servers for maybe 80 people. I understand things happen but a beautiful Friday afternoon there is no reason for that. I won't be returning and lost my appetite for LaRosa!

We were in Bend for Cinco de Mayo and celebrated at La Rosa - had a blast. The drinks are great especially their top shelf margarita - well worth the cost. A bit expensive for Mexican food. cinco de Mayo alone would rate a five - the chefs special menu (Mexican barbecue) was fantastic (pls bring it back). We dropped in a second time and must say that it was so so - the regular menu seems expensive for the fare - I again ordered the chefs special (shrimp this time) it was delightful and better than the standard menu fare. Overall worth visiting again.

Not impressed. Tried several times and have had bad servers, long waits, and not very tasty food every time. I'm thinking maybe I need to drink more of their margaritas to make up for the lack of everything else. I was hoping that we would have at least one good restaurant in our shopping area but I would pass on this one.

Our server Liliana was fantastic and the table side guacamole was very good but unfortunately the rest of the food was just mediocre. The flour tortillas on the tacos were not grilled, just lukewarm and the chips were below average.

The food and beverages are always great. I live down the street and come often. The staff is very attentive and keeps you taken care of. Love this place!

My boyfriend's family lives in Bend, and when we go to visit, La Rosa is a must! We love the food and the margs. Best Mexican in town! Get the steak with beans and rice and warm tortillas. It comes with grilled onions and pickled veggies. Yummy!

Over priced for what we got. Taste was totally different. Wanted to try a new mex restaurant and wasn't happy with results. Won't go back. Wife had a salad that she didn't like and I had the chiloquillas.

Yet another phenomenal meal at our favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The food and service is consistently excellent, and tonight was no exception. They've definitely been discovered, and consequently are busier, which is a good thing for any restaurant. But we were seated and served a couple great Margaritas immediately, and the service couldn't have been better. I got the Baja burrito with picadillo meat (shredded beef), and my wife once again chose the pork shank, which has become her favorite dish. Both were excellent, no room for improvement. We took a 10 day trip to La Paz (Baja) a couple months ago, and this food is as good as it gets, and that includes "authentic" Mexican restaurants in Mexico. Highly recommended, both the NW Crossing location, and the newer one in our neighborhood in SW Bend, right off Brookswood. Great service, great food, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere, and I guarantee you won't go home hungry.

Never in my life have I been so back and forth on a restaurant. It's not just this location, but the NWX location as well. Seems like one visit is fine and the next is dismal. The hubby and I stopped by Thursday evening for a late dinner. We waited FOREVER for someone to take our order (had already been through an entire bowl of chips, salsa and bean dip and well into the refill before anyone came to take our order). Then our food (one order of fajitas to split) took FOREVER. The food was fine, but I'd have eaten pretty much anything by the time it showed up. Another minor gripe - why are there not salt and pepper shakers on the tables? It's a Mexican restaurant. Doesn't everyone want to salt the chips? There never have been salt shakers here from day 1 and it's always an ordeal to get them when we ask. Bottom line? I think Carole needs to be spending more time at this location. We've been probably five or six times now on various days and have never seen her there. Until service and food are consistent here, I think she needs to be there.

Staff was very friendly and efficient. Food was OK. Nothing to write home about. If you live near Brookswood it would be a safe choice.

Love the atmosphere! Can't go wrong with the Mocejeta! Drinks are amazing. The event room up stairs is ideal too. You can also tell the employee's love it there. That make a huge impression on me

Staff is excellent all of the time, the drinks are great, and the food is outstanding. I would guzzle the salsa if the right situation presented itself!!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
