We have been disappointed many times in Mexican restaurants, but not this time. Best Mexican food we can remember. I had a beef and a chicken enchilada, my wife had a chili rellano. Delicious! ! Rice and beans were also delicious. We will go there every time we visit Bend for sure! Bonus is the family run atmosphere. ..great service from very nice people.

El caporal is the best Mexican place in Bend, Redmond, and Sisters combined. And it's right in the middle of all three location wise. We come to Tumalo practically once a week for it. Particular favorites are the verde burrito, the chimichanga, the guacamole fresco, the nachos (holy cow, the nachos), and margaritas! The service is always wonderful. They have never messed up an order, and they always remember us.

Hands down the absolute BEST Mexican food restaurant I have been 2 EVER...i ordered the enchiladas & I literally made myself sick eating my entire plate, lol! As well the staff are very amazing & very polite we needed more alcohol in our margaritas & they were MORE than obliged with no questions asked, hahahaha

This is some of the best Mexican food that I have ever had. The service was fantastic. The restaurant was very clean and the food tasted very fresh. We ordered chicken fajitas, super nachos, and Arroz con pollo. Kids loved it and we could not stop talking about how good the food was. It was our daughters 7th birthday and they brought her out this huge burrito that was filled with apples and strawberries with two big scoops of ice cream. It was all drizzled with carmel and covered with whipped cream. It was awsome! Our drinks never went empty and they checked on us regularly. This is located about 5 minutes outside of Bend on the way to the Eagle Crest Resort. We were there at about 7 on a Thursday and had about two other families in the place.

Great family run place that is a hub of the town. The owners really care about the food. The atmosphere is casual and they will step up and customize anything. The fresh juice Margarita was great. Make sure to order the carne asada medium rare. I just enjoy the happy feeling.

My wife and I eat here at least once a month as it is close to your house but more importantly good food and good service at a good price. Their mole sauce is excellent and consistent. Their happy hour is also a good value. We have never had to wait for a table and outside seating for warmer weather.
