China Doll saved the day for our catered lunch... I work at a local health clinic and from time to time we have catered lunches from drug company reps... some times they cancel... today was one of those days and several of us had not brought food from home thinking food would be available. Oh well. Luckily, my co-worker got the wise idea of ordering Chinese and several of us threw in for an impromptu lunch. Honestly, I"m not a fan of Chinese food. I love, nay, I adore Thai food but Chinese food has never been high on my list of go-to Asian cuisine... Too many La Choy nightmares from childhood. I'm not a fan of the highly sauced variety of Asian food that characterizes Chinese food in the States. That being said I was super impressed with what China Doll brought us. We got two orders of fried rice, pork and shrimp mixed. Plain white rice, Green beans in a black bean garlic sauce, Sesame Chicken and Mongolian Beef. I took a sampling of everything and I can attest there was nothing on my plate that I would not have gone back and gotten seconds for... The best part is there's enough for tomorrow's lunch, too!

This is a good place to pick up an inordinate amount of food for really cheap. If you are strapped for time, this is the place you can be in and out under 3 minutes. The ready to go stuff won't win any awards, but if you order anything else off the menu that has to be prepared - you'll be in for a treat. The wonton soup is really good! I'm really not sure why everyone hates on this place - have had it dozens of times - always consistent.

Easily the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. I wanted to like it but it was awful. I'd rather go to Safeway.

Again this is Americanized Chinese food. The $4.95 lunch special is a great deal. My wife and I liked it a little better than Panda Express. This is a little hole in the wall place across 27th St from COSTCO. If you are in the neighborhood at lunch time it is worth giving it a try. Neither my wife nor I finished and we both had enough for a small dinner left over. Pretty good deal for less than $5. The Terriaki Chicken was quite good.
