Here's the skinny: -hostess says there are no seats at the bar, found one person leaving, snuck in with my date and stood until other seats opened up next to us. -ordered a beer, $7 for glass and $16 for pint (had the glass) -looked a menu - first glance: sub par at best -ordered tacos, my date ordered pulled pork sandwich -tacos weak, little fish and tons of lame sauce -pork had zero seasoning and fries were lame -the food was the same quality as fast food IMO -food came on plastic plates - some sort of confusion about taking food into theater -bar tender trying to fill walk-up orders and had no time for us -oddly laid out restaurant and poor seating options not sure what this place is doing, is it a glorified concession stand with alcohol or is it a restaurant? Pick one and do it right. quite honestly found the whole 'cinetopia' experience confusing and a let down - not to mention wound up in some tiny theater seated on the side of the auditorium near the front...lame... I'm just not a suburb guy, keeping it real in SE Portland

Nope. It's a swing and a miss. My bf said he would rather eat at Applebees than come back here and if you knew how strongly he deplores Applebees you would understand the strength of that statement. It's a daunting task to try to be classy and upscale when you are attached to a movie theater, but these folks made a decent go of it. However the scenic view is a parking lot and the noise level can best be described as a dull roar. They have a lovely piano at the entrance but you can't hear it when they are playing. Also, one of the theaters exits into the restaurant which is a little odd... On their website they encourage patrons to make a reservation. That's great, but that also requires that the establishment ANSWER THE DAMN PHONE!!! I will admit my own fault in that I didn't try to make a reservation until the day of, shortly after they opened, but when I called, no one answered, so I left a message. I didn't receive a callback so I called again an hour and a half before we wanted to go to check availability, still no answer. We live nearby so decided to wing it. I got there and they said they didn't have a reservation for us but we could sit in the bar. The phone had a blinking light so I guess they hadn't listened to messages all day. I'm not sure they would be able to hear it over the noise anyway. I did see that two of the tables had reservation placards, I'm not sure how they got through if there is no one manning the phones. The only logical conclusion is that those people are wizards. Our service was actually decent which is why they got two stars instead of one, however they did hit my #1 pet peeve of patrons sitting down well after we had ordered and getting their food before us. Were they wizards too??? Vinotopia does live up to its name and offers a great wine selection. The beer selection is pretty good too, but $6 for a beer is not acceptable. I also dislike places where I have to ask for water, but their water glasses are cool. Prices on food are inflated but the portion sizes are significant. Ah yes, the food. We started with the cheese plate, which sounded great for a wine place. It came with a ridiculous amount of cheese along with some nuts, grapes and a few crackers. The cheese was very disappointing and low quality, more like they got it from Costco, but maybe that's being harsh on Costco. The spinach salad was okay but the dressing was WAY too sweet. My bf got the salmon, he thought it was a tad overdone, I thought it was okay, much better than my dish. His dish came with asparagus which was strange to see out of season... I ordered the steak. I ordered it medium and it appeared to be medium by color when it came out but was tough and dry. How does that happen???Now I know why the table near us who got it packed theirs up to go after a bite or two. They were probably taking it home to the dog. If I had a dog I would be afraid they would pee on my furniture if I fed that to them. The best part of the meal was the whipped potatoes and veggies which is a sad day in my book. Obviously the chef is not a wizard. This area is seriously lacking in fine cuisine but this place isn't the answer. Anyways, enough whining. I'm late for my reservation at Applebees.

because I am obsessively early to see movies because I need to choose the best seats, we sometimes stop in before seeing a movie at Cinetopia. for like minded folks who share my early movie goer obsession, the servers/bartenders will look up your movie and let you know how many seats have been sold, how much time you have, put a rush on your order, etcetera. a couple of tasty vegan options here as well - and a good wine selection!

Hard to rate this place (Beaverton location), but I'd say 3.5. Cinetopia is the theater, Vinetopia is the restaurant; same establishment but don't confuse the two. The theater is cool but expensive. The restaurant has good food, but is also expensively overpriced (typical theater gouging) probably because they only want to attract a certain crowd. The food is moderately upscale, but the atmosphere is kind of low grade. The mac and cheese was amazing, one of the best in the city. But it was expensive, like $15. Yes, that's an insane price to pay, but I only did it because a friend strongly encouraged me to. My advice, only dine here if you have a Groupon, and same for movies. I've eaten at the restaurant with Groupons a few times and enjoyed it, but I give it moderate reviews because the place really is overpriced.

Not super impressed. Cinetopia I like....gives a different atmosphere to watch movies even if it's overly priced in my opinion. Vinotopia I feel is trying too hard for that 'upscale' vibe when the food is certainly not up to par. Overpriced Applebees is what I like to call it. Their pricing is identical to a nice restaurant in the Pearl. But you're not in the Pearl, you're in the burbs....in a theater. Although the atmosphere is nice, the service is not, and I'm sorry having a $40 bill for HH isn't exactly "HH pricing" so to speak. Come to kill time before your movie but beware if you want to order a meal. PROS: Piano player, fireplace/nice atmosphere CONS: High pricing for what you get, service not up to par

Stopped by this place after the movie since it's pretty much in the theater... figure we'll check out the late night HH. I do like the ambiance. fire place, the bar was lit up with pink lights and over look the entire parking lot. The area is still developing. You get to see the new "New Season" on the left and Big Al's across the street. Overall, it's not the 'happening place' but it was peaceful and chill. Not impressed with the HH menu and foods however. The fish taco was just O-K and it was $5 and the portion was small. Barely any fish and no beans. I think Mccormicks HH fish taco's better for same price. (check out pic) All and all, if i'm absolutely starving when I go to cinetopia before/after the movie....i may return there. Otherwise, there are better options.

I'm giving them 2 stars because I'm a nice person...Service: waitress with the fake Australian accent: 1 star ... Food: 2 stars. Prices: high for what you get. No one smiles or really gives a crap that you're there. Tough to get someone to take your cocktail order, Kobe burger: waitress didn't ask how I wanted it cooked & I forgot to specify so of course, came dry & overcooked. You want cheese on that burger? $2.00. Mushrooms? $2.00. All the "extras" are$2.00 (each) . I asked to substitute fries for a beige or salad but of course, that didn't happen . No one came by to see if food is ok... Don't waste your money on that place, you won't be satisfied.

Service was unfriendly and not attentive at all. Food was okay but certainly not worth the money. We had a living social deal so that is the reason we tried this place. We certainly won't be back. Total for our dinner was $92. No way this was a hundred dollar meal! Drinks were $8 a piece... Unbelievable.... Rum and coke for $8! I mean come on, I know they have an upcharge in restaurants, but there cost for the entire bottle of rum can't be much more than $8.....We had a appetizer, 2 salads, 2 entrees and 2 drinks each for $100. Drinks took forever to get to us. Server wasn't the one to deliver items to us, but she never checked back on us to make sure things were ok. Food was mediocre at best. My husband had the Cajun pasta and shrimp. Potion size was good but it lacked flavor. Didn't have hardly any spice at all. I had the pam chicken. Chicken was tender and moist, but again, lacked flavor. And there wasn't any sauce so it seemed very dry. There are so many other ways I would spend $100. This is a place we won't be back to. We didn't feel welcome or appreciated. And if I am going to give you a hundred dollars to visit you, I ought to at least feel welcome.

After checking out Cinetopia a few times and having good experiences there I decided to check out the attached restaurant. Granted I didn't eat there so I can't judge the quality of the food, we only ordered coffee to give us a boost through a long movie. Here's why I am only giving 2 stars - the service... it was slow and unorganized. Upon being seated with menu's I had assumed a server would have come to take our order, no such luck. I walked up to the bar area and stood for more than 5 minutes before anyone even noticed I was there to order 2 cups of coffee and was told they needed to make a fresh pot and would bring it out as soon as it was finished... 25 minutes later and after asking 2 servers if our coffee was coming it finally arrived. I guess I didn't know it took that long to brew a mediocre pot. I'll give Vinetopia another chance but it might be a while.

I have given this place 3(!) chances and only because it's convenient after seeing a movie. But wow, 3 times I've been unimpressed and down-right disappointed. The first time was s few weeks after it opened so I figured it was just growing-pains and working out the kinks. Nope. Very forgettable, but thought I'd give them a second chance. Both times, the fish and chips were so heavily battered I had to complain. Very little fish, nearly all batter/filler. Terrible. The 3rd visit, just this week, I felt strongly enough to write this review. This was the last and final time I'll frequent this place. Not sure how they can make everything so mediocre. We had to get our own water. Had not received any before we got our food, although the waitress said she would get it twice. The waitress was ambivalent to us being there. Slow service, no refills. The meat in the burger was much smaller than the bun, so the burger was mostly bun. Really sad. The other dish, a tiny piece of pork with gristle, came with THE most salty potatoes I've ever had. Couldn't eat them. It was very disappointing. Over-priced and mediocre food means I'm done with this place. I gave them 3 chances and I feel that is sufficient, and far more times than I'd give other places that are this lame. So this is not a one-time bitter customer. They had several chances. I sure hope the owners read these posts and try and take action. From these reviews, I feel I'm justified writing this and you'll see I'm not the only dissatisfied customer.

Cool place, nice view BUT the food is overpriced, bad and unhealthy. I got the Veggie Burger and it was really salty and stale. My mom got the Pot Roast which was salty, drenched in a weird oily gravy and served with fatty pieces of meat. My sister got the Fish Tacos and they were alright but were served with small, fried up pieces of fish. Service is alright; friendly but not very professional. Bottom line, go somewhere else for dinner and then get drinks or catch a flick at Cinetopia.

I have only had a chance to have wine here so this review is not addressing food: They are setup to pour any of their wines by the ounce, glass, or a full bottle. It makes for a fun stop to try a few different wines from around the world. They use an inert gas system to dispense and preserve the wine which did a good job of keeping the wine from getting too much oxygen exposure if it is sitting. The wait staff has been very friendly both times stopping in as well. Unfortunately, good wine by the glass does have a bit a premium to it, but that is to be expected!

**HH review only** I came here one lovely afternoon with a couple of buddies to hang out prior to the showing of our movie. The ambiance is very inviting, cool, and modern! There's even a piano and fire place at the front of the restaurant. When I first came here, the food items ranged from $3.99-$4.99, now prices have gone up - they are $5-$6. [devour] *Smoked Salmon Spread (no longer on HH menu) - was probably the better dish than the others. I wasn't sure if the spread was to be served cold or warm, but it was decent. Came with sliced pieces of bread and chips. *Truffle fries ($5) - I think the truffle fries have been played out. Pretty much every resto in town has this on their menu. Sad to say it was your typical run-of-the-mill french fries drizzled with truffle oil and sea salt. There's some ketchup on the side. *Boneless Wings ($5) - seemed as if it came out of Tyson's frozen chicken wings. Flavors were in-your-face hot barbeque (you have an option of making the sauce sweet barbeque) and was paired with sliced celery sticks. There's a sauce of blue cheese on the side. I was not impressed with this. I felt I could've gotten better wings at Buffalo Wild Wings........... *Fish Tacos ($6) - was decent. I felt the tacos were over-stuffed that it was an avalanche as you picked it up to take a bite. The fish were decently breaded and fried. Came with some pico de gallo and shredded lettuce. There was some chipotle sauce on the side. [imbibe] They've got a couple beers on tap and several wines for selection (a laundry list if I must add) You can't go wrong with their HOUSE REDS - I opted for the CINETOPIA "Weaving the Rainbow" 2009 Syrah: Columbia Valley, WA $8.50/glass. Very nice and crisp flavors. FYI: every first Tuesday of each month, Vinotopia offers a wine class for newbs $30 per person and you must RSVP in order to attend (21+) I have yet to check that out, but seems like something I'd like to look into. [service] Our server was very friendly, unfortunately are water glasses were never re-filled. We requested and flagged our server down, but he was missing in action. By the time we were able the get our glasses filled, we were already paying for our bill.................... Overall, I would be giving the place 3 stars for such a great variety on their wine menu and other alcoholic beverages, but the food and the service just didn't back it up........... (*sad face*) I would recommend this place for the DRINKS AND ATMOSPHERE, rather than the food! PDX 30 Day Yelp Challenge #2 of 30

Been to Cinetopia many times, but had not yet been to their attached restaurant inside. We showed up a little over an hour early for our movie, thinking that would be plenty of time to eat beforehand. We decided to try out the restaurant, but after we were seated, the waitress came back to our table and told us the kitchen was 45 minutes out for any food orders, which would have left us only 10 minutes to eat and pay before our movie started. After we vacillated for a minute between being hungry enough to risk it, and not wanting to get a crappy seat, she interjected that we could make a to-go order and just pick it up when our buzzer went off. Wonder why she didn't just say that when she seated us and asked when our movie started, knowing we didn't have enough time. It wasn't clearly stated anywhere (that I saw) that food could be ordered and taken into any of the theaters, not just the smaller parlors. The waitress seemed quite rushed and stressed, like maybe she had too many tables, but we were polite and thanked her for setting us up with a to-go order. We got the Ravioli Primavera ($19.95 with chicken) and the Mac & Cheese ($14.95). Pretty pricey, but I suppose that's a good way to keep everyone that's seeing a movie from ordering an entree...theatre is way to big for the restaurant kitchen to do that kind of volume. Portions were decent, and food was still warm when we picked it up from the to-go counter. Came on a neat little tray that fits into the theatre seat cupholders and extends out over your lap. Would have been nice for the price point if the entrees came with a roll and butter or starter salad. The food was good enough that I might order off menu if I'm in one of the smaller theaters with waiter service. Don't think I would alott the extra time to come and dine-in, though.

This restaurant has great date night ambiance and location, but is over priced for the quality food. Unfortunately the food tastes like frozen meals that have been heated up. Great location, great concept...disappointing and pricey.

We went in for dinner before a movie on a Monday night. There was one other table in the restaurant at the time when we entered. The service wasn't great. Our server couldn't crack a smile if she tried. We ordered the pork shank and a spinach salad to share. Salad was decent, but not awesome. The pork shank lacked flavor although was moist. The prices for the wine are ridiculously high. $33 for a bottle of wine that costs $8 in a store? That's nuts!

i see the potential here.. restaurant right next to the theater.. the way it sounds is way better than how it's executed. the menu is pretty simple.. does it require ipad2 to view it? up to debate.. but sure.. technology is cool the menu has middle/upscale pricing that i would associate with fine dining. the food does not live up to the quality of fine dining.. it should either be substantially cheaper or much better quality. the gnoche in the parm chicken were quite bad. the salads are pretty average. the entrees are ok. the burger with the toppings i wanted came out to about $16! piano playing is pretty nice nowadays (kind of a rarity). my advice would be either make everything cheap or actually redo the menu to make it really really good to justify the price.

We returned as my daughter bought us a gift card for here. I have to say I believe they may actually be working on the issues. This time instead of a single waiter, I counted 3, which was better than the single one last time. My salad was fresh, and I have to definately encourage others to try the Spinach salad. It was wonderful, the cranberries were plentiful, and the lettuce was fresh. The mushrooms were very good, but a little small. I had the Parmesean Crusted Chicken, and it was very good, and I hear the salmon was very fresh. Do not go here and expect to eat cheaply, as it is not cheap, the avg cost of the appetizers (small plate) $11, salads $9.50, entrees $17.50. Drinks are pricey too, but nothing more than you would expect at a nicer restaurant. Of note, you have to sit at "THE BAR" to get anything off of the happy hour menu, so that was a little quirky since we sat right beside the bar, in stools looking out over the mountains. If Vinotopia continues to work towards a better experience, I can definately see it getting a 4 star in the future.

If you're going for food, and not just drinks or a movie, there are plenty of other great options near by. This place has a limited menu, and by their prices, they think pretty highly of themselves. Regardless of the $15-$25 per dinner entree price range, there is no gourmet chef in the kitchen. Their food is subpar and definitely not worth the money. They got two stars however for the ambiance and the drinks. The drinks are always good. They did say their menu was changing to smaller 'happy hour' type plates.

Had the worst bar experience. We had about an hour before my movie started so we decided to get a glass of wine here. The receptionist was nice but once we got to the bar, we sat there for almost 10 min and no one would help us. Now 10 min is not that long in a busy restaurant, but the bar was practically empty. There were three other customers sitting at the bar and three bartenders were working- not crowded at all. I kept making eye contact with this one female bartender and she just would not acknowledge me. She took the time to refill the ice bucket, refill some bottles, walked back and forth putting things away but just would not take our orders. I waiver at her a couple of times but she would conveniently not see me. Seriously?! I just didn't understand what was going on. No one else greeted us or bothered to check on us. I got so irritated that I started to gather my things to leave. Then the bartender walked over and asked to take our orders. I was pissed by now. I just got up to leave without saying anything, and the bartender threw her hands up in the air as if we offended her. What kind of attitude is that? Never coming back here. No wonder why there are so many negative reviews here.

I have read some of these reviews and not certain what people are expecting when you visit a restaurant. We had dinner here tonight and enjoyed our experience. We were met with a very warm welcome and asked if we were going to the movie or just dinner. This sets their expectations of our time line. We were there just for dinner. We were well taken care of throughout the evening, water glasses always filled, very nice wine list, a very varied menu, nice select I ns from Oregon and prices are appropriate. Each of our courses were well presented and we both thought the food was good. I ordered the cajun pasta shrimp andwas asked if I like spicey food just so they would not get food sent back to the kitchen. It was cooked just right with the right level of spice for me. The dining room was 3/4 full so there was a level of pressure on the kitchen and the food was hot, fresh and most of all appealing.

iPad menus? Cool! Nice view of the shopping center lights at night. The food was decent as was the service. I would like to try a few other items on the menu to really rate the food quality. I like that they are aware of our movie time. The place is a bit out of our way but if we wanted a night out, this would be the place to go.

I have been here twice on dates. I like the environment. Both nights there was live background music. Nice. The service is good. However, i didnt find the food to be that great. This may not be the best place for a vegetarian (pescatarian). Both dishes ordered were bland. My date enjoyed his second meal. But we both found it to be over priced.

I came up from Salem with several friends to see a movie at Cinetopia. We'd heard it was a neat experience and when a deal came up on Groupon, we jumped on it. Since we hadn't planned on where to eat ahead of time, we got to the theater and saw Vinotopia and thought we'd give it a try. I had NO idea it was going to be so pricey and upscale. Especially for being right next to the movie theater.... a pricey movie theater. But, we thought ok, it's a night out, we'll treat ourselves. The waiter was friendly and attentive. We were presented not with menus, but with computer tablets that served as our menus. I've never seen that before, it was a little intimidating but nice. You could even watch movie previews on them. However, not everyone at our table knew how to use a tablet and the waiter didn't really explain, so we had to help each other. We ate from the full dinner menu. I did see the HH menu, but there wasn't much on it and what was there didn't look very appealing. The cheapest thing on the dinner menu was a hamburger for $12, plus fees for extra toppings. Between us, we tried the Cajun Shrimp, Parmesan Chicken, Hamburger, and Pasta Primavera. Everyone was happy with the quality of their food. While the service was friendly, it was a bit slow and we ended up getting to our movie a bit later than expected. Very nice wine selection, but definitely overpriced. I paid $12 for a glass of Reisling and I'm pretty sure I could have bought the whole bottle for less than $20 at the store. I ordered the same glass of wine inside the theater, for the same $12 and was given half the amount. That was disappointing. Overall, if you don't mind the prices, the food is good and the service is good. I think that if they made it a bit less stuffy and a bit more casual and price-appropriate, they'd get a lot more business. Someone wanting dinner and a movie is going to want something a little more price-friendly, given the location. I am not likely to visit again or recommend to others, but it was a nice treat for a night out with friends.

We frequent Cinetopia/Vinetopia, but tonight was not a pleasant experience. We purchased vodka red bull with well vodka, 8 total for 4 of us in Vinetopia. $11 per piece. Between 4 of us we ordered those 2 drinks each, plus each of us one item off of the happy hour menu - so $5 or $6/person. Our bill was an outrageous $115 - during happy hour. I'm sorry, but I could go to the Nines downtown and purchase the same thing for less. Well vodka, $8 per shot? Pretty sure I deserve a shot of patron for that amount of money. The manager was absolutely ridiculous, snotty and mocked us by showing off the pricing on the menu. Not willing to accept our frustration at all. A well drink is a well drink. Not the well vodka at $8/shot PLUS the 100% markup of a retail priced red bull. Oh, but the cranberry juice is free!...

I love coming to Cinetopia but today was the first time I tried their restaurant. I really, really enjoyed it. My fiancé and I shared the nachos as an appetizer and it was really good and would have been plenty as the meal itself. Then we both had dinner salads which were just fine, I probably could have used more dressing, but no big deal. For our main course we both had the cheese and veggie ravioli, perfect flavor, not too salty but not bland at all. I feel sorry for those who have had a bad experience here, I would recommend trying it again because I was very pleased. Oh and our server was great too, Johnny was his name I'm pretty sure.

My best friend and I decided we needed an impromptu mom's night out and since we both live less than two miles from Progress Ridge, we decided to meet there for drinks. I have to say we first were seated at BJ Willy's and walked out after disappointing service. We went over to Vinotopia and were warmly greeted and promptly sat. Water came right away and even though we were seated outside, quite a walk away for our server, she came back quickly and took our orders. I had the Jalisco orange drop. It was very heavy on the tequila and I would have liked it colder but I guess I could have requested that. I also had a glass of white wine. My friend had the Angry Orchard cider (i had a sip, YUM) and we split a hummus plate. The service was spot on, she kept checking on us, was obviously well trained (vs. the staff at BJ Willy's) and had great service etiquette. The hummus was really good and we both LOVED the pickled red onions. We both see movies there often and were actually pleasantly surprised at Vinotopia. We had anticipated a stuck up vibe but it was warm and welcoming and we'll definitely be going there for drinks more often.

I just moved to the Progress Ridge area and decided to try Vinotopia last weekend. What a huge disappointment!!! We went for lunch and were one of two tables at 1:00 on a Saturday which should of been our first sign. The server was quick and very attentive. However, the food was the big disappointment. I ordered the Turkey Club with Sweet Potato Fries. When the food arrived the fries were in one big clump all fried together. I love sweet potato fries so I had one of these first. YUCK! There was cinnamon, sugar and several other spices on the fries. These seasonings created a nauseating flavor. The sandwich was disappointing and definitely not a plate that was worth the $15 I was charged ($2 upcharge for the fries I didn't eat). When the server asked how I like the fries I told him my displeasure and he said they had been trying different seasonings/coatings as they were having issues with the fries being too soggy. My boyfriend's meal was equally disappointing. You can tell the food is food service food is prepared worse than the packaged food you'd find in the frozen section of the grocery store. However, they have no issue charging more than casual prices and portraying their foods as upscale dining. I will definitely not be going back.

Happy hour pizza slice $5 w/ crust so burnt and dry I couldn't penetrate it. Their saving grace is a good selection of local beer, even if it costs $6/pint and $18/pitcher with no HH discount.

We have tried Vinotopia three times, and it has been a consistently poor experience. The staff seem disorganized and poorly managed. We were a walk-in couple that decided to wait in the bar for the table, and three different wait staffers came by our table, but none brought our order, which was for sparkling water and cranberry juice. We were litterally seated across from the bar, but our order was "lost". We were told our wait would be 15-20 minutes and then waited more than an hour for a table. Once we did order, we received our food pretty promptly. Our food was a bit on the bland side, but not poor. When we asked for a to-go box, we were told that the restaurant had "run out." Of to-go boxes? Really? Like other reviewers, we've tried to give this place a chance because it seems like such a great outing to get dinner and a movie, but our experiences have been so much the same that we are unlikely to be back.

My friend and I had calamari, a salad, a ravioli entree, and two glasses of wine for $52. The calamari was greasy and uninspired, the salad average, and the ravioli overly drenched with cheese and basic. The white table cloths and overly- loud piano don't belong in this cinema restaurant with class C food.

Movie started at 5:30pm. Rolled up into Vinotopia at about 5:25pm. Bartender obviously new the drill and provided drinks to me and my four friends super fast! The bar looked very nice and I for sure want to go back and try out the food. Cool friends bought my drinks and they said they were kinda spendy. $4 for happy hour wine is not too shabby though.

This place is located right next to the new Cinetopia in Tigard/Beaverton, and I came here with some friends to enjoy the happy hour before our movie started. Drinks: there are no well drink specials, only wine/beer, but the well drinks are stiff, so the regular price of $8 for top shelf is acceptable. There are only a few screens at Cinetopia that you can bring alcohol into, so if you're on the fence about Vinotopia, find out which screen you will be watching from. Food: we ordered the HH smoked salmon spread, which actually came out cold (by design) but being so, did not lend it to be a very enjoyable dish for an evening happy hour. Ordered the HH boneless wings, but these were shamelessly just pre-frozen Tyson-Brand nuggets, my first bite was followed by an overwhelming tidal wave of regret. it was that good. The HH fish tacos (2) were presented nicely enough with blue corn taco shells, but the fried fish pieces were way too dry-it felt painfully dry with each bite taken. The garlic fries were the only dishes that really fetl well prepared, and were a shoestring type with garlic mince drizzled on top. The pasta dishes looked nice, but $18 for a non-meat linguine seems a bit unreasonable for a place that really just has a good location accompanied by semi-subpar food. The only saving grace besides the fries was that the servers were all extremely friendly, and the bar does have a lot of flat screens for sports, along with stylish decor and seating arrangements.

For those of you that eat fast food. I would recommend Carls Jr. There burgers are a little better and less than 1/4 of the cost. For those of you that are repulsed by fast food, like me. RUN! I ordered a cheeseburger with bacon. It was about $14 bucks and served with frozen fries. I think the patty was frozen to and i know the bun was. It was really awful. My Fiance ordered a crab sandwich special. It tasted like canned crab and mayo on a frozen bun. The service was weird and sporadic. we were waited on by five different people. This would not cause me to write a negative review on it's own. But when bad service is combined with horrible food, and with prices demand at least decent fare, we have a perfect storm folks. Cinetopia is fun but skip the restaurant!

Vinotopia is like the new neighbor I wanted to like because it looks so cool, but I just can't. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice (table cloths and fireplace in the restaurant) but the HH in the bar is cramped and the chairs are very uncomfortable --- and as a side note, whatever product they use on the floor makes it sticky. I've been there for happy hour and for lunch. The food is overpriced and there aren't discounted drinks at happy hour. My friend and I each had a glass of wine, we spit a small nacho, hummus (yummy), and fish taco (two VERY small and only OK) and our bill was $35. Not a great deal compared to other HH in the area. Service was as expected.

We have eaten here a couple times before and the food has always been average and rather expensive. But if one has a coupon for a free entree it is worth it. Tonight we went to the bar with the plans to have dinner when the restaurant opened. I ordered a glass of one of their house Chardonnay wines. It was very flat tasting with an odd aftertaste. I am not a picky wine drinker, usually buying fairly economical wines. After telling my waiter about it, he looked blankly at me so my husband asked if he would taste the bottle. He returned saying his manager said it was fine and told us he did not need to taste it. I was not offered anything else and so I told him I wanted water and to take back the wine. We ended up paying our bill with the wine charge and walking to a wonderful sushi and steak restaurant nearby. No more Vinetopia for us before the movies.

I love Cinetopia but Vinotopia isn't that great. The food at Vinotopia is overpriced and not that good at all. The bar tender, waiters, waitresses, and management could use some help with proper customer service. My wife's driver's license expired on her birthday. We went the day after her birthday and they wouldn't honor her driver's license because it was expired 1 freaking day. I've known people who have had expired driver's licenses and never had a problem getting serviced alcohol. Sometimes people just take their job too seriously. This bartender could have let it go and looked the other way but decided not to. The bartender was also rude from the get go before we even showed our IDs. The bartender did not have a welcoming attitude and it seemed like she didn't want to be there. I know it's my wife's fault for not renewing her license on time but come on it's only 1 day. We were there for a function in which my wife's employer rented out one of the theaters. I wanted to make sure she had fun so I had to drive all the way back to Hillsboro and get my wife's passport. I just wanted to get the passport slam it on the counter and say how you like them apples! We showed it, ended up getting service but no apology. Nice classy looking restaurant but looks are deceiving. Service sucks.

Stoped by here for a quick beer before our movie started. The bartender was helpful getting our group served and cashed out real fast to make our showtime. The bar has a sizeable dining area and was nicely appointed with tablecloths and napkins. The beer and wine selection was actually quite extensive and not badly priced. None of us tried the food at all, but wouldn't be against it in the future.

I was skeptical. The Cinetopia restaurant dimension sounds like a racket. But this is, above all else, a very pleasant pre-movie dining experience. The dining room is separated from the theater, and is situated high up with a bank of floor-to-ceiling windows looking out to Bull Mountain. While not a vista of the ocean, this sense of height and distance is nevertheless a pleasant backdrop to the meal. I enjoy their commitment to live music, and they've got some bona fide jazz up-and-comers and mid-level regulars filtering through. The food quality is good, and the prices not insulting. We've enjoyed --on different occasions-- pub fare like nachos, wings, and burgers, or slightly more dressy fare like steak and salmon. Strictly on taste, everything hit the spot and was well prepared. For dessert, we enjoy the simple bliss of the Tower of Chocolate, especially as a shared date-night decadence.

Large portions of delicious food. You can order while sitting in many of the Cinetopia theaters as well. Wonderful location for a dinner-and-a-movie date.

wow!! that's what my brain says! we walked in from the theater & they have a guy playing a grand piano :-) we sat outside (they have heaters that line the roof) & were warm! i'm just branching out into wine, so not knowing much about what i liked, we asked the waitress. she was very descriptive & informative! after listening & asking questions, she suggested a wine & proceeded with "if you don't like it, i'll buy you a new one". that hit the right spot with me already! i tried the wine & it was to die for!! she helped us order & we got to take our food into the theater with us! my husband had pot roast w/ mashed potatoes & i had a quesadilla. both were wonderful & we ate while watching avengers in 3-d :-) we only had 1hr before our movie started & they moved very quickly for us! next time we're going earlier so we can sit & enjoy longer!

I thought - how convenient, grab some food and go to the movie. I will never go back, it was really bad. It is nice looking and comfortable. I ordered a slice of pizza and nachos. I have had better pizza out of the freezer and the nachos came out so cold it was a solid block (the previously melted cheese was cold and solid). It was bad, bad, bad.

Wanted to like this place. After premium movie experience (Hugo 3D, stumptown served at concession), saw the piano, a jazzer tinkling away, had read about the wine selec, I was down for a premium plate and glass. Then I saw the movie screens. And TV screens. The best seats are the walled booths, which put you away from all the screens, but these were all taken. So for my family and I, the only four tops were near the piano, and fireplace, which could be a bit loud but I was okay with it. But they ruin this tables location harsh white fluorescent lighting from above. Wine list is big but pricey - they have an enomatic system that allows them to serve lots of different wines by the glass as if the bottle were fresh. However, if you want something decent, a glass of that will be 10-20 bucks, and I'm thinking I could just get the whole bottle at the store for about twice that. So I got a pint of Trumer for 6 bucks. With the ambience kind of lame and schizo (some decent decor and lighting in other areas, just clashing with the sports-bar screens everywhere), I didn't feel like ordering premium dishes, so we just got salads and small plates (10 bucks each). Fine dining doesn't mix with tv screens. They forgot my son's pizza and ended up bringing out just a large slice of lousy pizza after my wife and I were finished. The plating and dishes and menu reminded me of something - my wife said it was just like a McMenamins we went to before. So I'm suspicious. Anyways, they're catering to the Progress Ridge wealth explosion that seems to be happening around there. The menu is overpriced for the quality. The service was very friendly though. Take your money to New Seasons and eat at home.

Ordered a beer and a wine to take into a movie - forced to wait in a weird "side line" to get to the bar - felt like I was not worthy of real service. Then I could not take two drinks, even though one was for my wife. I had to go to the movie line and send my wife back for her drink. (We are both in our 50's, so not like we are sneaking booze!) When she returned with her $12 glass of Cabernet we both had an OMG moment - We paid $12 for one ounce of wine!!! Come on - if the movie and restaurant business is that bad, find another profession.

We ended up coming here for Valentine's Day last minute as we failed to make reservations a head of time. Well actually we did the day of, via OpenTable, but the hostess said they weren't accepting any additional reservations for the day although we were sent a confirmation ... Anyways, we found a spot in the bar. I ordered a cesar salad and I ate about 3-4 bites. It tasted stale, the lettuce was pretty brown, and their sauce tasted too fishy and was too yellow for my liking. My boyfriend had a burger which was well done although he ordered it medium rare. Go figure. We have been here before just for drinks and those did not disappoint. I would only recommend this place for drinks, they have so many wines to choose from if you are a wino.

Where do I start? Happy hour was not as advertised on website and they refused to honor it stating that the website was old. Beer was warm and they said they had problems with it lately. Server didn't listen at all and messed up the meal. All in all would not go again. Spend the evening in one of the better restaurants near here.

Service is amazing and so is the atmosphere but the $34 Thanksgiving dinner was awful. Ok so the turkey was salty old pressed breast meat, stuffing was hard as croutons, gravy was thin and obviously packaged, veggies were old and wilted to nothingness, sweet potato mash was good though! But the fresh made cranberry sauce had zero sweetness added, big big no no. Thank goodness for the great service and awesome tunes playing and my very hott hubby to look at.

Friendly staff, decent food. If you have some time to wait awhile you will enjoy the outdoor seating and the great atmosphere. If not, then go elsewhere because that bar serves all of the drinks to the theatres and you will be last in line so it may take awhile. Good food though and nice staff.

Why do I always feel rushed at this place? Bartender and waitstaff always start off with "what time does your movie start?" Followed by a lecture about the theatre doors opening 45 minutes early and only having 34 seats in it. Hey, I'm a grown @$$ man; I don't need help with timeliness. Bartender last night (June 1) was rude with young looking patrons; demanding in request for ID and talking over them. Very curt. Five (5) TVs at bar were on the same channel featuring baseball. How about a little variety? (Other sports, news, etc.). The food and drinks are decent but overpriced. I'd rather go to a normal theatre and have dinner and drinks at a nearby restaurant.

To the bartender who served us around 6PM this Christmas Eve.. thank you! Your service was top notch and the strawberry lemonade you made was the best mixed drink Ive had in years. The nachos ordered seemed to take a while, but they were worth it. I love that they're thinner and the toppings were perfect. Im a fan of Cinetopia, but it was my first time eating at Vinetopia. Great first experience means Ill be back !

I was gracious enough to give this place 1 star because the service was good. We spent $165 for 2 people for the worst meal I have had in a LONG time (That included drinks) Don't order the salmon --The unknown salad on top was nasty. And the medallions...actually, the medallions were pretty good but the rest of the plate wasn't worth it. The salads were gross too, ask for no croutons, and specify your dressing or you won't get any. Also, the 2 tablespoons of Merlot in my glass wasn't really worth the $8.00 or whatever I got charged. We probably wont be eating here again.

**HH review only** $3.99 & $4.99 food items. $1 off pints & $5 selected wines. HH hours are 3-6pm & 8pm-close. Fish tacos, FTW! For five buck-a-roos you can enjoy finely battered fillets tucked in double layer corn tortillas with pico de gallo, cilantro coleslaw & chipotle aioli drizzled over. Don't share this item because one isn't enough to keep you satisfied. The fillets tasted great, the slaw & pico de gallo were overloaded (not complaining) & the aioli was a perfect blend to top everything off. The hummus plate, also $4.99, isn't bad but it could tolerate a little something extra to give the hummus more than just the garbanzo bean taste. There was a good amount of traditional items to dress the pita but my only request to Vinotopia is add a few more pita triangles; four isn't enough. (FYI, the best happy hour hummus plate I've encountered thus far was at Hopworks Urban Brewery.) If you have a drink voucher I suggest using it at Vinotopia instead of the concession stand. The cocktails are pricey & that's where the voucher comes in; $8 for vodka-cran. Whaaa! You can take alcohol, purchased from Vinotopia only, into a few theater rooms where minors aren't allowed. There is outdoor seating overlooking some of Progress Ridge TownSquare but in order to order from their happy hour menu it's bar seating only. There isn't a ton of seating but each time we've visited a table was available. So long story short. Vinotopia is A-OK.

We went here for Valentine's Day really impressed by the online menu and idea pitched that it's attached to an upscale movie theater with lounge chairs. It was alright, nothing I would venture out of my way to go eat at again. The waitstaff was very rushed, it was a mixed atmosphere of people in uber casual and people in dresses. The food was overpriced for what it is, nothing spectacular. Although they do boast a great drinking list!

3 strikes your out! Consistently the slowest service ever. Each time I have entered there is nobody to greet you and the bartenders pretend they can't see you standing there. Both times I had to walk up to the bar, where I was ignored for the second time. It's not until your annoyed and waving your hands that anyone will hep you. Then you are pointed to a table -not escorted there and then you will wait again. Especially because they are visible annoyed at being asked for their attention. I went again this afternoon and was late to my movie due to slow service. In a shorter amount of time, my friends went to BJ willy's downstairs and had appetizers and drinks, walked upstairs and got seats before my family was delivered any food. The bartender knew we were rushing to a movie, but took all the walk in take out orders before even bringing us water. She then told me that I was wrong about my movie time ( I wasn't ). We ordered 2 burgers and 2 kids meals(easy right?). After 35 minutes and our movie starting in 5 minutes I went up to the bar to check on our order and to prepay to hurry our process. After complaining about the delay I was met with an eye roll and that they had new staff. They did bring my food and the theater trays so I could take everything into the movie. This was a good solution but quite messy with a 2 1/2 year old eating in a dark theater. I hope Vinetopia gets better. Love the wine list and booth seating. It's just not worth the anxiety that comes from trying to actually get seated, place an order and then get your food.

Vinotopia was offering a Groupon for half-off of four-course dinner for two, so Wife N and I decided it was time to head out on a Vino/Cine date to dinner and a movie (which we'd also acquired a Groupon for). Dinner, Thursday evening 5:30pm. We sat down and...wait..no menu? It's an iPad. So, not being a heavy tablet user I had to figure out how to use their menu. It wasn't hard, but at the same time, there's just something to be said for sticking to a paper menu versus going overboard on the technology to the point where I found myself wondering how to find the appetizers. This may be impressive and cool for the Gen-Zero iCrowd, but it was overboard for this diner. Once we figured out how to find and use the "back" button on the menu, which improved the "menu surfing" experience tremendously, we were ready to order. Our first course consisted of the bacon-wrapped peppers, followed by a salad for each of us. Wife N had their Caesar, while I had the Endive Salad. The peppers, normally about $9, tasted great with the home-made blood-orange sauce, but we felt the pineapple aioli on the side wasn't a good pairing. Basically, they were 4 bacon-wrapped poppers. For the normal price, I would have expected more. We went on to order our salads and main courses. I looked at this lovely Salmon Du Jour (resting on a sumptuous bed of forbidden rice) in all its beautiful iGlory, but sadly, they were "all out of the Du Jour" this evening, so I would have to stick with mashed potatoes or veggies. Meh. I ordered the Trout. Wife N ordered the Bacon-wrapped Beef Medallions, "rare", with rice and fried cauliflower. [Sidebar Your Honor... Okay, your technologically-overboard iMenus had "we're out tonight" menu items on them? I would have thought you'd keep them up to date---isn't that the purpose of "live menus" anyway? If you're out of the salmon, it shouldn't appear on the snazzy iMenu!] The Caesar salad was all hearts of romaine. But no leaves. Just a whole bowl of yellow/white hearts. The dressing was about average. The croutons were wonderful, homemade, flavorful. My Endive salad was good, but suffered from too little of their lovely dressing, and was basically dry. On to the main course. The trout was decent, nothing to rave about. It was on a bed of green beans, just as shown in the menu, but I found myself still hungry after finishing it. Wife N's Beef came out "medium-rare", which is pretty typical when you order something "rare", so (given medium rare was her desired outcome anyway) she got what she wanted, not what she ordered. (Sadly) It worked out according to plan. The meat was tasty, very nicely done, and definitely not your Costco-pre-pack bacon fillets. The rice was excellent. Oddly, we thought the TOTAL STAR of the plate was the deep-fried Cauliflower. It was really excellent. Crispy, flavorful---completely took us by surprise and left us wanting more. Topped it off with a slice of Mud Pie for dessert which was reasonably good, about average. The dark cookie crust was excellent, and the sauces were nice. Service was excellent, though admittedly Thursdays at 6pm aren't really a busy time for them and the place was mostly empty. The bill came to $81, but we got it for the Groupon price of $38. Now, that said: we were a bit disappointed in the quantity of the food. The listed price on my Trout was around $17. This for a thin 4-oz filet on a bed of green beans, no starch. I took it for a $11 plate--it was almost the size of what I'd expect would be an appetizer for 2. Wife's plate was an "okay" value for $18. We both were "satisfied" having paid $38 for the meal (before tip) but agreed wholeheartedly that we would have been really disappointed in the dinner had we paid the normal $81 price. Unfortunately, we both walked away still a bit hungry. In all, if you're looking for dinner and a movie it's an okay value if you're on a Groupon or other substantial discount. If you don't have any discounts, this place is far too expensive for the level of food, and I would suggest eating somewhere else. No half stars on Yelp, but we'd call it 3* on a Groupon, 2* at the full price. Might come back for dinner on another Groupon, but definitely would not eat here at their listed prices.

I'm guessing there is no real chef here as most of the food has a pre made/frozen taste quality. Prices are strangely high and the staff likes to look at you, but not help/serve, well, unless you tell them you would like some help. It's a movie theater, so get rid of the piano and white table settings and get more engaged with your customers.

We had Caesar salad, breaded chicken, maple pork, calamari, and a nice pumpkin cream pie. Salad: croutons were like rocks :( but the rest was tasty. Chicken was really good especially the potatoes. The pork literally fell off the bone ... So yummy Spiced pumpkin cheesecake was delicious - I think I need wheel barrel service to the car please.

Vinetopia for dinner is fantastic. I highly recommend it . Forget including Cinetopia for a movie and go only for the long relaxing dinner at Vinetopia. They have a great outdoor patio (dogs allowed), fantastic service, local farm fresh vegis, great sauces, a really good wine list and great local micro brews. Their meat dishes are very tender and the rich fresh Cajun shrimp dish is a little warm, but great flavor. Their home baked garlic bread is warm and fresh. Give it a try for sunset on the deck.

The concept is terrific - an upscale restaurant with an amazing wine selection attached to an upscale movie theater. The execution is really pretty good. We had the garlic fries for an appetizer and they were fantastic. This was followed by a garden salad for me and a Ceaser for the wife - both well done though I felt that a bread basket was missing at the price point this place comes in at. The entrees - I had a grilled fish and the wife had steak were done very nicely and we split a mud pie for dessert. Service was good, the place is very clean, seating is a little compressed (more people in a smaller place than I would have hoped for when you're probably spending $50+/person). They use a customized iPad web application for the menu and that's a nice albeit slightly quirky way to browse the menu. More pictures, more descriptions and yes more flipping from one section to the next to find everything. I was a little disappointed by the wait for our food but it was compensated by the quality that was delivered. The portion size was good for us. It's a great night out with your wife. By the way, most of the same food is available to be ordered / served inside some of the theaters - you go early, order a meal, it's usually there before the trailers and the seats in the theater are more comfortable than the restaurant, the prices are the same.

This was a tough review as far as how many stars to give. I gave 3 this time around, but there is potential for 4 later, perhaps. Here's why. This sales and marketing strategy here is simple. Sell movies, and get people in the restaurant door with food and drink promotions before a showing. I have seen absolutely no promotion of Vinotopia alone, and that's probably because their prices are steep....like mountain goat steep. Otherwise, I'd love to come here just for the food, service, drinks, great beer on tap, and ridiculously awesome patio seating overlooking The Progress Ridge shopping center, without having purchased a movie voucher for $5-$10 off. I came here recently to get a snack and a few beers. I ordered the fish tacos which is an appetizer, not an entree. I got 3 tasty little tacos for $12. They were good, but I wouldn't ever pay $4 per taco for these. The drafts they have are great too, but also a little on the steep side. I had an appetizer and 3 beers for around $30. The great things about this place outweigh the steep prices, however. Their food IS good, the drinks and taps are good, and the service is friendly and fast. If they end up coming out with a great Happy Hour or some other event besides raping my wallet, I'll be back in a heartbeat. I'll be back regardless to enjoy their sick patio and a few beers! Worth checking out, especially before a movie if you get one of their vouchers for a discount through Groupon or LivingSocial. Otherwise I wouldn't come here JUST to dine.

This is the restaurant that is attached to the Cinetopia. The food was just alright. It's pretty expensive and not that impressive. It was fun to at least experience the dinner and a movie once, but I would definitely not do it again. Service was good the day we went. There was a small group of us, but they managed to stay on top of drinks and had everything out in a timely manner. It really is a bummer because it's such a good idea.

If you can love and hate a place at the same time, this would be the place! Having a restaurant and bar in your favorite theater is great, but that shouldn't mean that service can be poor nor that management should make stupid decisions and treat customers like crap because there are no other options within the theater. Service here starts out slow, and only gets slower from there. I've LITERALLY waited 45 minutes for a waitress to come by my table and take an order... the place was empty. To make it worse, this was during Happy Hour and she blew right past the end of happy hour by 15 minutes and then told us we couldn't order off the Happy Hour menu. On another occasion my wife and I went in 1 1/2 hours before our movie started to get dinner (off the happy hour menu) before the movie. Took 30 minutes for the waitress to bother with us to place our order. After waiting another 40 minutes for our food (20 minutes before the movie started) I paid for the order and told them to bring it in to go boxes. Another 20 minutes to get the food out. Being that our movie was starting in 10 minutes, we decided to take our food with us to the theater, at which point the bar manager yelled at my wife telling her Happy Hour food couldn't go into the theater. My wife tried to explain to him our dilemma after having waited so long for our food, and he didn't seem to care at all. Recently they also decided that they are going to end their Happy Hour at 5:30 pm...who does that? When we were informed by the bar manager of this change at our last visit, at 5:32 pm, he was short and rude about it. We actually got up and left, walked down to BJ Willy's Woodfired Pizza (who still serves Happy Hour till 6) and had good fast service with good food and drinks, and then walked back to watch our movie. Concerning the food, it's pretty decent here. The dinner type items we have tried have all been tasty. The nachos and quesadillas are really good. The wings aren't the greatest, but aren't terrible either (decent enough I've ordered them again). The beer and wine selection here is great! The prices here are a touch on the high side. Not too out of this world, but more than most other restaurants of a similar quality of food and ambiance...though with much worse service than any other restaurant. I'll be back here for only two reasons, (1) they've got a great beer selection and (2) they are convenient to hit when going to a movie at Cinetopia (strange...the best theater in town attached to the worst restaurant). Breakdown: Service: 0 stars - the staff range from friendly to they don't want to be there (based on how the bar manager treats customers, I can't imagine how he treats staff, so I'm not surprised if they didn't want to be there). A couple people are very attentive, while most are slow and others seem like they just forget they are waiting on customers. Ambiance: 4 star - The setting here is actually really nice. The tabled seating area is set off from the bar in a nice way. There's a lot of natural light coming in from the floor to ceiling windows on two sides of the restaurant. There are three TV's over the bar that are usually on sports. There's a nice outside balcony sitting area. and they frequently have live music (piano player type stuff) that is really light, quiet and soothing. Food: 3 star - The only reason I don't put this at a 4 star is because, while the vast majority of their menu is great, there are a couple things that aren't as good as they ought to be, especially considering the prices they charge. Price: 2 star - Though because of how absolutely terrible the wait service is here, it's almost a 1 star. You NEVER should pay as much as they charge for service as bad as they provide...no matter how good the food is...and the food is pretty good. Even if the service was better, it's still a bit on the pricey side for what they give you. If the service was a knock out of the park...I could give this a solid 3 stars. Location: 5 star - For me, the location is great. It's close to my house. Is conveniently adjacent to the theater, so it makes for a great place for a dinner and a movie date with my wife...only we won't be going here much anymore cause the service is so terrible.

Yesterday was the second time my wife and I tried Vinotopia. Not sure if there'll be a 3rd. The prices are high, but no big deal. One kind of expects that at a bar that operates within the confines of a movie house. It's the wait staff that can make or break a place, IMO. In this case: broke. We had two servers our 1st visit, and one yesterday. Among the three of them not a single smile. Just blank-faced, robotic taking and delivering of our drink orders. And slow. So. Slow. And the kid yesterday, in lieu of actually taking the extra five steps it would have required for him to reach our table to check on us, stood behind the wall and waved his hand, going "psssss" to get my attention so he could ask if we were ok. Really? Come on, guy. I give them one star for being there (ie existing - and likely having to deal with some really winning personalities) and a second star for the bartender, who, though pretty high-strung for the maybe 6 patrons in the place, was actually vocal and animated in comparison to his soulless servers.

We went for an early Friday dinner. We sat outside and had fast service. Upon delivering our drinks the waiter kept stepping on/kicking the foot of our extremely wobbly table, spilling our drinks all over. We finally moved tables to fix the problem ourselves. We got 2 burgers. One was good, the other was not cooked on the inside. After sending it back the second time the burger was worse! By then, my husband was so disgusted he didn't want to try a third time. The manager did take it off the bill but it was a very disappointing dinner.

Bought the LivingSocial deal because I figured a three-course dinner and a movie would be a perfect and relaxed Friday night. I should've known when I called that my experience with them on the phone was just the beginning. I called around 4 PM to make a reservation for the same night (because the deal said that was smart to do). I was hung up on, transferred to a line that rang forever, hung up on again. I called another number and he recognized my number and finally transferred me. The girl sounded irritated, but made my reservation. We arrived at 8:30, went to see the hostess and her friends were visiting her, so she completely ignored us, chatted with them, hugged them, etc. We were standing there for 5 minutes with absolutely no one acknowledging us. It wasn't that busy and they had 2 hostesses and plenty of wait staff. We didn't like the options for the LivingSocial deal, so we decided to save it for a later date and ordered the sirloin and the pork chop. They both tasted bad. Expired. The flavor of the things with the pork chop were just not working at all. Honestly, this is one of the worst meals I've had in Portland. Not to mention, we went without drinks for an insane amount of time. This is dine & dash central. Request a refund for your LivingSocial deal ASAP. I did.

What a cool venue. We came in on a Sunday night after a movie at Cinetopia. We selected a nice view of the mall and one of the TVs. They have a nice little menu of items and I selected the hummus plate which was very tasty. We both selected a red wine from the menu so we could try a couple of varieties. They have a piano in here so we had that playing in the background. They have a lot of local musicians that play here. That was a nice touch to this place as well. It's right off the lobby to the theater which is nice but it also stands on it's own very well. I definitely want to try it out again perhaps for the full dinner experience. I will most certainly be back.

We had a lovely Sunday brunch at this Vinetopia in Forest Heights. Does anyone even know it's there? The young man who served us was knowledgeable and gave us excellent suggestions and service. The atmosphere was elegant and the outdoor patio seating around the fire was delightful. Needs a sign and some balloons or something so folks know it's there! I'd never had a breakfast salad before and it was scrumptious! Added it to the registry but the address is: 2037 NW Miller Road Portland, OR 97229 Give it a try! You'll enjoy the experience!

because I am obsessively early to see movies because I need to choose the best seats, we sometimes stop in before seeing a movie at Cinetopia. for like minded folks who share my early movie goer obsession, the servers/bartenders will look up your movie and let you know how many seats have been sold, how much time you have, put a rush on your order, etcetera. a couple of tasty vegan options here as well - and a good wine selection!

If only 0 stars was an option... Terrible service - and we sat at the bar! Food was EXTREMELY mediocre. Makes McMenamins food seem like it's from a 5-star restaurant.

This bar has a comfortable feel to it but honestly it's way over priced for my taste. Even if you have to money to spend its just not worth it....the well whiskey was Jim beam and cost $8...not right.

$4 for happy hour wine is not too shabby though.

we wasn't there to see a movie this trip, but had a groupon for dinner. we noticed that people that was there to see a movie got much quicker service, this was a bit frustrating. we were there for 1.5 hrs just for dinner! food was ok, I got the bo\istro steak. it was way over cooked. a little pricey. very noisy

For dessert, we enjoy the simple bliss of the Tower of Chocolate, especially as a shared date-night decadence.

wow!! that's what my brain says! we walked in from the theater & they have a guy playing a grand piano :-) we sat outside (they have heaters that line the roof) & were warm! i'm just branching out into wine, so not knowing much about what i liked, we asked the waitress. she was very descriptive & informative! after listening & asking questions, she suggested a wine & proceeded with "if you don't like it, i'll buy you a new one". that hit the right spot with me already! i tried the wine & it was to die for!! she helped us order & we got to take our food into the theater with us! my husband had pot roast w/ mashed potatoes & i had a quesadilla. both were wonderful & we ate while watching avengers in 3-d :-) we only had 1hr before our movie started & they moved very quickly for us! next time we're going earlier so we can sit & enjoy longer!
