This place has always been a staple for me. I thought I wrote a review but.. alas, here I am writing a review. I used to always stop in here on my "Play days" but as my work and other things got in the way ( how dare they) I had to curtail my visits here, but I definitely expect to be back. Go during the weekdays. Nancy is always at hand and she has been giving me nothing but good service for years. They have changed their menu a bit and I might add for the better. One thing I love here.. the veggie pizza.. to die for! I always get and have to take some home (oh the travesty) but it is worth it!! They have trivia here the buzzword or something like that, and plenty TVs. They have pool but I have never played since I'm always seated at the bar and don't leave. You could say I was a regular.. every time I go in, I'm recognized. I love the feel of this place and the service- not just because the bartender is awesome but because this whole business strives to do the best for their clientele and I'm always glad to be a patron here.

Good food, and our server Stephanie was great! I wish they had a few sauce choices for their pulled pork.. Me and my boyfriend were looking for a little more heat. Thank goodness they offer a nice array of hot sauces! Also, the bathrooms had some fun painted toilets, perhaps tmi to add.. But it's charming. I'll be back!

Great little dive joint. BBQ is good, servers are friendly, and 90% of the time the service is quick. My only complaint is that the wifi rarely works. I like to work during lunch, and just can't do it from the Pit Stop.

Went in today sat in restaurant area. They werent busy, waitress walked by several times without helping me. This was over the course of over 15 minutes. Just stood up and finally walked out without being helped. What the Hell, wont be back which is a shame cause their food is good.

Walked in at 10am on a Saturday, sat down at a table and waited... almost got up and left, but eventually a waitress showed. I wish we had left. Ordered pancakes ($5.99) and a side of bacon ($2.99) and coffee. Took a couple bites of pancake and something was off-tasting so I had the fiancé try a bite. We both agreed they were sour- not like sourdough, more like sour milk. Mentioned it to the waitress when we asked for the bill , who checked with the cook who said they don't use milk in the pancakes. Either way, I wasn't going to eat anymore of them. Waitress never came around to check on us after dropping off the food so we never got drink refills. Overall disappointing and unsatisfying = A rare one-star review from me.

Great little dive spot. Staff was so awesome and hilarious. The breakfast food tasted like home cooking. The only downfall is they no longer offer the build your own Bloody Mary bar. But the house Bloody Mary is pretty dang delicious!

Dropped in for lunch because we were on that side of town and had an Entertainment Book coupon to spend. Wife had the grilled chicken special and I had the brisket dinner. Both plates were very tasty and complemented well by the BBQ sauce (the hot version is actually hot...yay!). Service was friendly but a little slow and the only real drawback of the entire experience is that the dining room was really cold, so cold that my wife had her gloves on while we waited for our lunch. No wonder everyone else was crowded into the bar area where (we discovered on our way out) was much, much warmer. We're going to make it a pont to return for breakfast...some of the items on the menu look very promising!

I come here sometimes for a quick drink or a sports game as it's near my place. It's darker than what it needs to be, the restrooms could use some refurbishing. Nice staff. Too much garlic on their fries.

Stopped in for a late lunch to go. pretty much a "dive bar", but looked like lots of regulars, and would be a fun "neighborhood" bar if you live close by. Lots of TVs with different channels, even Food Network on for us non Major League Sports folks! Also some games and such to play from the bar. Took a while for my order, but maybe because I ran into a colleague they thought I wasn't in a hurry. The Cuban sandwich was really good, and came with a huge amount of fries. The Spiced Brisket Sandwich was also good, although I am not sure about the "spiced" part of the description; I paired this with the coleslaw which was good but not super. the mac n cheese side was good, although I prefer mine without the bread crumbs, that's my issue. I think the fact they smoke their own meat is super, and will probably go back when i'm in the mood for such. The prices at one of the "food carts" closer to my house are higher, and not necessarily tastier.

On my second visit to Pitstop I had the Beef Brisket Dinner Plate. It was a huge platter of delicious beef brisket with two excellent side dishes (baked beans and homemade potato chips) all for only $8.99! On this visit an altercation broke out at one of the pool tables. My highest compliments to bartender Joyce for singlehandedly diffusing the situation. Both the barbecue and the help at Pitstop are the best!

Pretty run of the mill sports bar, tasked with working off some apparently very bad karma, trapped as it were there in Beaverton suburbia. Open late--until beer-thirty most nights, so there is that. I was there of course to check out their much-ballyhooed bbq. We got the 4 person beast feast. First, a word about the sides: Were the fries and baked beans so conspicuously lacking in salt by design? Was this the intended effect---out of consideration for we barbecue connoisseurs diligently watching our sodium intake? The beans were bland and seemed straight out of the can (though I didn't detect the Van de Camp's tell-tale cube o' swine fat). The garlic fries seemed to have potential, for they were crisped nicely and had minced garlic, which I can scarcely get enough of, sprinkled about liberally but again--- no salt? Wow what a difference a little salt-- or the complete lack thereof--makes! Worse, we ate in a place, unwittingly, in a place lacking in salt shakers. Double Fail! To the meat. The pulled pork was nicely shredded and tender. Like the ribs and brisket, they left the sauce completely off the meat, sealed in containers for us to add to our individual preferences. Win! Restaurants that smother their bbq in sauce betray a complete lack of confidence in their skills, and as Napolean Dynamite would say, girls only like guys that have a lot of SKILLS! Also, the quality of meat involved is immediately suspect, when it comes to you already drenched in their invariably cheap-o tasting,, and excessively sweet bbq sauce. The pork ribs were cooked nicely, try to pick up the rack by one end, and the bones come out of the flesh almost effortlessly. If nothing else, these boys have their timing down on low and slow bbq. The brisket alone was a bit over-cooked and dry. Strangely, it was tender and juicy on the outer ends, but significantly drier in the inner 80% of the brisket, which is strange to me, it seems to me it should be the other way around. Whether tender or not, what the meat lacked was smoky flavor... I guess I've been completely spoiled by Traeger and Texas-style wood fire pit bbq, that uses hard wood (Alder, Oak) as well as mesquite, hickory, cherry, etc to imbue the cue with a smoky savor that will move mountains and ultimately spell utter pandemonium for civilization. In sum, the sides I'd completely forego in the future...but for $50, it was still a pretty good value for all the meats involved..... I'd just bring it home and put it on the Traeger and set it on smoke for about an hour, and manage to have salvaged some pretty decent bbq. If a place's signature bbq has to in any way be doctored to hit the mark, well you're a better person than me if you can reckon how that merits more than 3 stars. Go ahead and tack on 1/2 extra for the service; there was only one lady working the floor, from what I could see, and it was fairly busy and she was getting it done in a fairly excellent and friendly manner.

The Pit Stop was a great experience! My sister and I went for Happy Hour on a Wednesday evening and we had no problem waiting for food, etc. Brian was our server, a very engaging and nice guy, who also knew just the right/appropriate amount of humor to insert into our interactions. He even shared personal stories and asked us to come back, it was a very nice experience! The food was great, even if we didn't want "Happy Hour" food, there were plenty of other moderately priced choices. My Vodka Soda well was priced very well and was strong! Keep 'em coming! There are plenty of TV's for entertainment, along with Pool Tables. One note to any young women out there: The clientèle was mostly male, so girls, don't go in "too dolled up" otherwise you will be "ogled" at ;-) We will be returning, thanks Pit Stop! By the way, Happy Hour(s) as of May 2010: Happy Hour Monday-Friday 7 am - 10 am 3 pm - 7 pm and 11pm - 2 am Saturday 11 pm - 2 am Sunday 10 pm - 12 am

Nice locals spot I like to adventure out to once in a while. The crowd and vibe does change often however and the caliber of women has certainly gone down! Maybe they've all gone back to college. Food is delicious and the BBQ is off the charts! One negative thing though is that they discontinued their pizzas, I use to love their Thai chicken pizza!

A few days ago, I was issued a challenge - a friend really wanted to do some karaoke, but no one wanted to drive downtown from Beaverton (we only make that haul for Ground Kontrol). So, one quick Yelp app attack later, and I decided on The Pit Stop. It had all the requirements: 1. It was local, more or less - I don't usually consider east of 217 to be "local" but at least it's on our side of the ridge. 2. It had karaoke with an exceptionally comprehensive song library, including the soundtracks to pretty much every musical. You can download this library on their website. It's a 526 page PDF. The only gaping hole in their library is the total lack of Jonathan Coulton or any nerdcore whatsoever. I mean seriously, WTF? 3. It was a bar. That was an easy one. So, I quickly texted the info out to everyone, and we met up around 8ish so they could nosh and start getting drunk before the karaoke eventually got rolling around 9:30. And once it did, The Pit Stop was, dare I say it, off the hook. It's an intimate venue with a friendly KJ, so even though it was pretty crowded by 10 pm or so, our group still got to sing many, many times. I'll be honest here; I don't give a single crap about sports, and none of us even tried the BBQ (although I have plans to sometime soon). And last night, I wasn't drinking anything but Diet Cokes and lemonade. But we all had a blast, the night was a huge success, and we definitely want to go back. So that's a five-star bar in my book.

Newer owners, and a much smaller happy hour menu for food. The food is a little better though and the service is proper. All TV's are labeled with what games are on. Staff is super friendly and I feel like I'm at Cheers! They always remember me and treat me like I'm a 1st time customer everytime. I suggest the Signature Breakfast, the hash browns are damn good and loaded. Sliders are always a good move and the spicy BBQ is actually spicy! Garlic fries are exactly that, garlic fries, not garlic salt fries. They come covered in minced garlic in an unhealthy :) portion! I am now a regular!

I am not a Karaoke guy, really. Okay, I like the PlayStation games at home every now and again, to liven up a party, but I don't hear the call that often when out and about. However, when the mood strikes, and the time is right, I'll seek out those million faces and rock them all. So I find myself at the Pit Stop. Funny, if you enter from the back door, by the bar, like I did, it seems a much different place than if you come in through the front. I thought I was entering a kind of awesomely seedy bar that had karaoke, but others would find themselves in a BBQ place that had karaoke and a seedy bar in the back. I wonder how it affects the choices of the participants? Their mood? Their choice of delicious alcoholic beverage? I love the bar. Like I said, it is awesomely seedy. The bartender on a Saturday night was really efficient and remembered my drink order on return visits. She nailed it. Really, in a part of the world with sluggish service standards, this place was killer, actually, all the way around for hospitality. The karaoke was both awful and awesome in the way that karaoke can only be. The circumstances of the karaoke had its pluses and minuses, too. The good: 1. they have EVERY SONG EVER. Your little brother's garage band that started last week? They have the box set. Tibetan zither players doing "Xanadu"? Which version do you want. The Brazilian version of the 3rd Marillion record? Duh. The soundtrack to that shitty musical you were in in High School? Nailed it. 2. You WILL get to sing if you sign up, so no fooling around with Bohemian Rhapsody. It's gonna happen, so pick wisely. The not so good: 1. The stage is really just a patch of open carpet between the bathrooms. 2. The sound system needs an upgrade. 3. There isn't a discernible order of how people get called up to sing and they don't use a proper sign in sheet, so you kind of amble up to the KJ (right next to the men's) and tell her what you'd like to sing. 4. I don;'t really believe in the crying of favoritism with karaoke, but there does seem to be a tip-heavy way to influence singers. "Tip your way to the top," seems what's going on, but I'm willing to believe there are other things at work here. Other than that, it's pretty much what you'd expect. Someone will suck at a song you love, then someone will rule at a song you hate. Then you'll go up there. Everyone else will be the judge.

I first have to say Michelle an employee at the Pit Stop Rocks!!!! My dad was turning the 5-0 and we needed a place that would be fun to celebrate with our family! And wow did this place support us!! Great job on coordinating with Michelle! She was a wonderful person to work with!! I live in San Jose and we texted everything together back and forth! My parents were both very pleased with the great service!! And the food was amazing! I can't thank the entire staff enough! You all did a wonderful job! And glad you all enjoyed the yummy cakes!! Thank you Pit Stop!!!!

For what it is, it's f'ing great. But what is the Pit Stop, really? Is it a sports bar with kick-ass pit-smoked BBQ? Or a BBQ joint that is subsidized by a sports bar? I don't care, really, because the BBQ is that freaking good. No, the place isn't trendy. Yes, it's way out on Canyon Rd in the West Slope/Beaverton hinterlands, nestled amongst car dealerships & Korean joints. But when you walk past the smoker on your way in, the smell is intoxicating, well before you get to the drinks. And they actually have a pretty damn good beer list, for this neighborhood. Yes, it's the kind of bar where the "Killian's Irish Red Girls" make visits, advertised by tacky posters. But you know what, just sit down, order some BBQ and forget all those distractions. We tried the ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. And we were floored at how tender & juicy they all were. I mean, it's all as good as my husband's home-smoked meats, and that's saying alot. Perfectly cooked, great smoke flavor. And the two sauces they offer (regular and spicy) were perfect, as neither one was overpowering or too thick to allow you to taste the meat. So good that it's dangerously close to unseating LeRoy's as our favorite Portland BBQ joint. (The fact that Pit Stop is a 5-10 min drive from us vs a 15-20 min drive to LeRoy's may actually tip the scales.) I was also super-impressed with their cole slaw, which was crunchy and the sauce had a nice horseradishy kick, which is rare to find. We will SO be back.

My gf and I went on Christmas Eve. If you are looking for a good dive bar with an overall warm atmosphere then here's a place to go. Although the food was a bit on the garlic side I enjoyed it a lot!!! Like I said we went on Christmas eve and it was nice that they let us turn on "Christmas story" on the big screen TV. They have a great calendar that shows events such as game nights/specials and karaoke (which we will have to go back and try) my menu has a lot of good choice and that is another reason I'd love to return. On the other hand there was a disrespectful guy that kept interrupting our meal and making gross comments while we ate... But it wasn't the establishments fault so I will not hold that against them. I am sure if we told are waiters (we had two very nice professional young men) they would have immediately handled it. Thanks yelp for your great reviews, that was why we choose Pitstop over the Mark (located up the street).

I recently purchased the Living Social deal after reading numerous positive reviews on this site. Unfortunately, the Pit Stop did not live up to my expectations AT ALL!! I'm always on the hunt for good BBQ because it is so hard to find, and I had hopes that this place might be my savior. I ordered the mixed smoke plate with ribs, brisket, and pulled pork, with a side of baked beans. The beans were pretty good and the ribs weren't terrible, but the brisket and pork were bad! My brisket had ZERO smoke ring (or flavor) and had an odd sheen like it had been sitting out too long. The pork was almost like baby food, and again had ZERO smoke on it. The BBQ sauces were pretty decent, and needed to be applied heavily to make the meat edible. My girlfriend had the burger, and reported that it was just "ok". Her garlic fries that came with the burger seemed to be straight out of a bag, like the galic fries you get in the freezer section. All in all, the food was less than impressive, the atmosphere was dive (in a bad way), and the service was just plain odd. We will likely not be returning to the Pit Stop.

Just a wonderful neighborhood tavern. FIrst, for that rough hangover morning the Pit Stop has great breakfast. The food is tasty (crispy good hash browns) and the prices are very reasonable. For sports you just can't beat it - whatever you are looking for they will have it on for you. The BBQ is ok and I am not a fan of the burgers. But the nachos and the quesadilla are excellent. The single best part of the Pit Stop is the great people who work there - they make the place so welcoming. I am glad the Pit Stop is in my neighborhood.

BBQ is quite tender, but carries no flavor of smoke and is served quite wet (pre-sauce), which leads me to suspect Colonel Mustard in the kitchen with the slow-cooker. The two available sauces (mild/spicy) are similar and unspectacular. As a place to watch the game, it has ups and downs. All the games are on, but there isn't a 360-degree view, so if you're trying to watch a more obscure game with friends, half the table will have to turn around to watch.

This place use to be awesome in my book. But in the past year has gone way downhill. The KJ is cool and deserves to be tipped. The bartender is awesome and deserves to be tipped. Some of the regulars....eh. It's a dive bar so if that is what you are looking for...it's perfect.

Went for the first time b/c of restaurant.com certificate. The food was really tasty, and we had great service. Their happy hour specials look really good - would come back for happy hour. The only thing was we the appetizer sampler, (which had 4 wings, 4 mozzarella sticks, 4 onion rings, and carrots and celery), was not worth $12 - but $5 during happy hour would be a great deal.

I went to have lunch here a couple of weeks back, please be sure NOT to follow in my footsteps don't go. The lunch drinks were tasty and strong, explaining why they had a full house in the bar at 11am. If you go there to drink, you should be safe, eating is another story. I get it that this place is a Bar-B-Que sort of place but I wanted an Avocado/Bacon and Tomato sandwich. On this sandwich were two...yes TWO...slices of Bacon, two slivers, and I mean skinny, teency, weeny slivers of avocado and not even any mayo. The tomatoes were so stagnant and old that they were like biting in to plastic food that they use for pictures...my teeth bounced back from the bite attempt. If this doesn't give you a hint about the fare of this establishment in the way of dining choices, think "Where's The Meat??"....and I bet that you too will not be able to find any. The service was actually outstanding. One lone server running himself silly to accommodate the clientele...putting miserable food before people who are doomed to complain while still keeping a smile on his face, amazing and the only reason I left a tip. Save your money, steer clear of this Pit Stop and cruise to another :(

Cheerful expands sports bars You gotta love a bar where you can get a good breakfast for $1.99 and if you like watching Nascar, then this is the joint for you. The Cheerful Pit Stop is the newest addition to the Cheerful Sports Bars and Grills. Racing fans will love that it's a Nascar themed sports bar, which is not common in P-town. No matter what sport you like to watch, you'll be in heaven here with 25 HDTV's. The menu offers good pub fare, such as sandwiches, burgers and pizza, but I love the $1.99 breakfast deal. It comes with two eggs, hashbrowns and toast, which is all you need. Tip: Breakfast is served all day.

Every time I go, always recieve excellent service, food and of course drink. The staff works well together, and are exceptionally polite for a sports bar, a must go if you never been, and a constant for regulars, oh and make sure to try the tacos!

I'm giving this place a generous three stars because it's a decent dive for a Friday night where you can grab a drink at the bar, play a round of pool, watch a sports game, or listen to people sing karaoke. I wish I could also recommend the food. Barbecue should be tender but it shouldn't fall off the bone. That's a sign that it's been overcooked. Unfortunately, that was the case for both our beef brisket and baby back ribs.

The first time we went (with a group of like, 6 people) they essentially kicked us all out because they wouldn't take my boyfriends ID (it has a bend in it, big whoop) so we all left, mighty annoyed at them. But we went back another time because we were doing a video shoot at the strip club across the street and they don't serve booze. During the day, they were slow and much nicer, and they gave us lots of strong drinks, dirt cheap cause they thought it was cool that we were doing a video shoot.

I like the karaoke. They have a wide range of drink selection. The atmosphere of the bar is weird. It's ok. If you're just wanting to meet up for drinks and karaoke it's a pretty good place. It's a dive bar.

We went here last night for karaoke, which is the only thing I can speak to really. We wanted to branch out from our usual place and try somewhere new, and all I can say is, the grass definitely wasn't greener at The Pit Stop. First things first, I have no doubt the food is tasty, since it smelled awfully good when we walked in. Our server (Shonda?) was incredibly friendly and sweet, and even though it was busy, she still took really good care of us. Having said all of that, this was not an enjoyable place to do karaoke. It seems like there might be a couple of different KJ's who work the Pit Stop, so I'm referring to the girl with the curly hair. I unfortunately didn't catch her name due to the gigantic table of loud, drunk 20-something guy who took up residence right near the "stage", which is really just a swatch of floor near the bathrooms. Yes, as you sing, you'll have a parade of tipsy people with full bladders constantly marching past you. We got a seat early and asked for a book, only to find out that there really is no book. The "system" consists of walking up to the KJ and telling her what you want to sing, and there are no slips of paper, and no rotation. At the time we were like "that's odd, but ok". We put in a couple of songs, but not before a couple guys from the table I mentioned before got up to drunkenly slur out some emo song, and then we all got our turn. Unfortunately, the sound system is terrible, and so loud that you cannot hear yourself sing. To the sober, this presents less of a problem, but drunk 20-somethings who think they are the 2nd coming of Johnny Cash just think the solution is to scream sing twice as loud. Bring some earplugs. We quickly determined that rotations and paper slips exist for a reason in most karaoke places. The KJ had major attitude when any of us went up to ask to sing, and once snapped at my neighbor "Wait a second, I have way too many songs going on in my head!" Easily solved by having an orderly list of slips, but whatever. We also determined that the giant table of drunk men who were crooning classic tunes such as "Chocolate Salty Balls" were the KJ's friends, and they got to take over the entire bar. I can't speak for myself, but the people we were there with have knock out voices, and one sang in a professional choir, and there was also another table of girls who had amazing voices. We continued putting up songs, but never got to sing, nor did the girls at the other table. We all got to sing only once or twice in a three hour period, but the rest of the night and the bar belonged to the drunkies. Now, you obviously don't go to karaoke expecting people to sing professionally. It's about having a good time and getting your inner rock star on. But the KJ's friends didn't even sing. They were so drunk that they stood up and slurred drunkenly and insulted their friends over the microphone. Sometimes they couldn't even finish the song, and would just hand off the mike to another drunk friend who would just do the same. Another man there who either was related to the KJ or was really hoping to get lucky with her continued to drunkenly blather on the mike about how amazing she was, and that we all needed to tip her, and continued to wag her tip jar around the room. I am not sure exactly what we were supposed to tip her for. For not letting us sing? For letting the lunatics run the asylum? We continued to watch as a parade of her friends who put in songs LONG after we did get up to say "F you" to their friends up on stage, or drunkenly slur about how they didn't know the words to the song they were up singing. We kept shooting "Seriously?" looks to the KJ, but she still would not control the situation. We finally gave up and got the check when one of her friends got up to belt out "Friends in Low Places". So, lesson learned, and we're back to our usual joint where there is orderly rotation, the drunk frat boys aren't treated like royalty, the KJ doesn't show favoritism, and there isn't a tip jar shoved in my face to reward a service we didn't get.

tasty tasty tasty pub food! nice clean place. great service! i love the fact that there isn't a thick cloud of smoke when i walk in. the ventilation in there takes care of it all. i had the beef brisket plate.. man it was GOOOOD! my boyfriend had the patty melt... and yet again.. it was GOOOOD! i can't wait to go back and try their ribs.. which i might say is smoked in their own pit outside! GOOOOOOOD pub food!

I am a somewhat (once every few weeks) user of Delivered Dish. I have been looking at the menu for The Pit Stop for months, and finally decided to order from them and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! I ordered the Smoked Sampler Plate and it came with a quarter rack of ribs, sliced brisket and smoked pulled pork with choice of one side and Texas toast. I chose the spicy jalapeno mac and cheese for my side. I also ordered a side of beans and mashed potatoes. Hubby and I split the grub and we have leftovers. The smoked meats were very good. We smoke our own so nothing can compare to ours, but this joint does a good job, the meat is not overly smoked and the BBQ sauce was decent. I like a little more pull to my ribs, but some like the fall off the bone style which is what they serve. The mashed potatoes were homemade and came with 2 different gravy options, a white sausage and a brown gravy (out of a Sysco can I am sure, but pretty decent). The baked beans are scratch made as well and had brisket in them. A thumbs up from my husband. Lastly the Jalapeno Mac and Cheese was delicious, and spicy, and topped with breadcrumbs. I really enjoyed it. The Texas Toast went in the sink because it was pretty limp, I am sure it tastes better when eaten in the restaurant. Overall, very good, we will be ordering from them again!

I don't know where we went wrong... so huge fan of the Mac not cheese. I rave about it. Always been happy with the food from this place.. ordered take out tonight and got food for people who've never had the food... naturally we talked it up. Totally stoked up until.the first bite. It was all terrible. Spent 55.00 bucks on food. Even tipped. It was all so bad. 3 Jelopano Mac n Cheese - bland terrible seriously it just tasted like macaroni. 1 regular Mac n - see above Brisket Philly - dry as dirt and flavorless. I think it took them longer to spell out on the menu then it took them to make this. The Cuban - see above. Dry and flavorless Oh and we ordered cheese fries.. the cook did manage to get tested fried with cheese on point. Look I dont mean to be so negative, but this is my money and whatever has changed at the pit stop needs to be fixed. If you're not gonna make.the food right just don't do it. Why waste time and money on a menu/website and fail at the execution of those products. It's frustrating to feel like you just wasted 55.00. Will not be eating here again. Disappointed Pit Stop.

Do you know what we love here...TAKE OUT.... No joke... Looks like this place gets a lot of regulars who enjoy the drinks, TVs, karaoke and video poker. I am not a bar person. TAKEOUT - their food is awesome. We usually order their BBQ sampler which is very tasty down to their Texas toast and BBQ sauce. The meat is falling off the bone goooood. Tator tots, onion rings - fried goodness and even their sandwiches, burgers and salads do not disappoint. Great portions and awesome service - they are always super friendly when we drop in. They also always get our order right! So...seriously...TAKE OUT! Or dine in...but again, it is a bar so if you are into that. They are also on Delivery Dish if you are feeling extra lazy some evening.

Finally we found a great bbq place, the ribs are amazing, and we have been searching. So glad we found this place, plus soo many tvs for sports fans. Great service as well.

Great food. Great service. It's my new spot. It gets pretty busy on the weekends so I prefer to go during the week.

Excellent food, excellent service. I had the chicken bacon sandwich and my partner had the Cuban and made from scratch mac-n-cheese. Both were fantastic. They smoke their meats on site and you can tell they really care about the quality. Highly recommend.

5 stars here! If you long for great bar food in a place with that dark wall atmosphere...seek out this joint. What a great find- the best brisket is so terrific and Shelby is a fantastic waitress.

Best dive bar there is ! Awesome crowd, great service and the best damn karaoke in the area !! If you are looking for fun and cheap Non watered down drinks this is the place for you! They have slot machines as well. :-)

Definitely a dive bar. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the mood for excellent ribs quite possibly the best I've ever had and the entire group agreed with me amazing ribs also good customer service and there was much entertainment as well. They had pool table as well as arcade games and my personal favorite was the incredibly bad karaoke! One guy even sang Britney spears oops I did it again and upon request to sing louder he promptly responded! Next time I want ribs I know where to go!

Great local sports bar with great food and drinks, people watching, and great prices! My girlfriend and I actually met here on our first date. I was new to the area and found this place on Yelp and decided this would be a good place to meet since it was Sunday, and I wasn't about to miss Sunday Night Football to go on a date! ;) They have very friendly staff, great food, and great drinks and drink specials. We had returned here a few times on Sunday morning to get breakfast and watch the kickoffs. I would recommend getting here early because this is a popular spot, and seats fill up quick! The breakfast is great and you get giant portions for anywhere between $6-9. More than the great food, the great drinks, and prices, the patrons here are pretty great as well. Everyone dresses up in their favorite team's garb and meet up with their buddies here. It's not uncommon to witness people stand up and start screaming at the TV monitor "Go go go go!" or "No, damnit!" or "C'mon ref!" ...it's super entertaining! Everyone here is having a good time, what else can you ask for? Go check it out, preferrably during football season;)

I love you, I love you not, I love you, I love you not.......I LOVE YOU! This is our relationship with The Pit... We came here last week hoping to get some drinks, play some stick and eat a lil grub. We showed up on a Sunday and they had free pool, always a good start to the evening. Not only that, the server was pouring drinks in the pounder glasses!! AGAIN, here they are!! Sometimes it's the pounder glasses, sometimes it's the short stacks....I just dont get the method behind the madness. The drinks were STIFF, pool was as usual, and this time I got around to ordering the Chicken Strips and Garlic fries!! Chicken strips were good, nothing to write home to mom about, but "bar foodish" none the less. The garlic fries about ended my marriage and bed time activities. I smelled like I was trying to avoid vampires for the next 48 hours, BUT they were tasty lil buggers...a touch greasy, but the minced garlic covered up any greasy taste. The place was kicked back and relaxed, it was one of the better times we had here. I just wish they could be a touch more consistent on their pours

The PIt Stop's sign says "BBQ" and there is the alluring, somewhat strategic promise of smokers out front. Sometimes, they have smoke coming out of them. Hmm. Alluring but yet, deceptive. My pulled pork sandwich was not great. It was mushy, which is common of Portland pulled pork, I don't know why. Not my favorite. Barbecue sauce? not special. French fries were ok. Beer was cold. I went back another time to watch BIL sing karaoke ( it was weird, it was KISS night, but mostly the crowd wasn't into it and people who started out in KISS makeup scrubbed it off). BIL sang "Rock and Roll High school" and "I wanna be Sedated" and then we went home. I had a very strong cheap rum and coke. BIL is not bad at karaoke, but he didn't think this was the place for him. He is still looking for his crowd. As noted, the servers were sweet women. Me, I'm still looking for barbecue.

Awful place. In the armpit of beaverton across from a couple strip joints, it's the epitome of DIVE. The people that sing karaoke are loud obnoxious and drunk. Parking lot is messed up: poorly designed and cramped. Watch where you park...some asshole hit and run my car. Rammed into my wheel and left it undrivable. No note, witnesses or video.

What can one expect when going to a bar called exactly as it is: a Pit Stop- let's go through the night together shall we? Saturday night around 10:30pm we all decide to go get our drink on at a local place so it's not too far off; a little Google/Yelp magic and this place popped up. Guess I should've been warned when we got there and there was the skeeziest looking strip bar around across the street: ( yelp.com/biz/hotties-bea… ) - but whatever. Adventure- right? We got in and immediately I noticed the patrons theme: country music lovin', chubbier, singer wannabes and high school drop outs. How do I know this? Because the random shouting and hooting from the other individuals made it obvious. The KJ was amazing though, a tall dude with dreads tucked into his rastafarian hat, jammin' in between the people singing... about the only good thing about this place... one star. The drinks are suprisingly weak- I was under the impression this place was a dive bar? Guess not?

Dark place, several tvs on sports stations, only a few tables. Probably a better happy hour or dinner kind of feel instead of what I typically look for when I am having lunch. The brisket sandwich was on special so it was an easy choice to order. They bring mild and hot BBQ sauce and ketchup. I was warned that the hot is really hot and while that usually doesn't hold true, the bottle on my table was certifiably HOT. fortunately I listened and only tried a little before I committed my entire sandwich to it. The mild was very tasty so I have no complaints. The side I chose was garlic fries and I was very happy with those - very crisp and very garlic'y - and what's more, no additional charge as a side. The brisket was tasty - it had been smoked but looking at the meat it had lost most of it's red so I suspect it's been in a warming tray for some time (or in the fridge and warmed on demand) - either way, not 5 star brisket - but very good 4 star brisket - tasty, moist, tender with good flavor. The roll was also fresh and soft. The challenges with this place: Ice Tea comes from the soda fountain and tastes like it. Tea should be brewed from tea leaves every day and served fresh, it shouldn't come from pre-mix. The Brisket is good but there was basically one slab of meat on my sandwich - come on guys.... "Where's the beef?" The ambiance wasn't what I would choose for lunch (too dark, too much noise). The staff was friendly but I waited for longer than I though I should for a place that wasn't all that busy. This was my second visit to the place - I'll go again if I'm in the area but I doubt I would go out of my way to eat here. (Esp considering the Korean BBQ place that is just down the road that I'm eager to try).

My name is Marci and I am a karaoke whore. (chorus) Hi Marci... Yes, I sing and I sing a lot, so I loves me a good karaoke venue. I can't believe I haven't reviewed The Pit Stop as we consider it our second living room. This bar is one of our faves... Well, honestly this has a lot to do with the fact that it is in stumbling distance from our house, but it has other things going for it. I do have some standards that I hold my K venues to and here's how the Pit stands up to them: 1. Decent sound. I can actually sing, so I'm fussy like that. You have a whole starship Enterprise switchboard of sound capabilities so please make sure there is a good balance of music to mic, we can hear ourselves singing, and the sound isn't so muddled that our ears bleed. The Pit has a pretty good sound system, but the sound mixing is hit and miss depending on the KJ. Hey (stroking chin), I'm happy to help out with a sound check anytime. :-) 2. A lively KJ who is great at singing to fill in when things are slow, but who defers to the singers when wait times are long. Adam, you are awesome and I think most of the KJs are pretty good at this, but there are times the waitlist is insane and the KJs still take up precious time with their own singing. 3. Snappy drink service. Oh man, usually the Pit freaking rocks with the drink service. Once the servers figure out what I'm drinking, they ensure I'm never at a loss for ETOH (alcohol for you non-chemistry types... which is most people). The drinks are often quite stiff which is fabulous. 4. Lots of turns. The Pit is great if you plan to sing more than once. I typically get 3 or more turns and the KJs are pretty fair about turn-taking. The place is usually busy, but we still manage to indulge plenty in our singing bliss. Occasionally a group will sing "Balls Out" which means they sing whatever their group signs them up for, which means more people sing in the group... This game, while amusing, does reduce the singing time for the others in the bar. 5. A good supportive crowd. There is nothing pretentious about this place or its people. The regulars are friendly, the newcomers are welcomed, and there is just a general down to earth vibe here. It's sorta divey, but yet not hipster divey or meth divey (you know who you are). 6. Walking distance from my home. Check. Even though I sometimes can't remember the walk (kidding... no I'm not). 7. "French" things on the menu (besides fries) and breakfast all the time. The Pit used to have some favorite menu items that were prefect for soaking up my ETOH and satisfying my late night eating bug. However, they changed their menu and I just can't warm up to anything on it. The food is typical bar/pub food... burgers, sliced or pulled meat sands, whatevs. They used to serve breakfast all night and had French toast, but no more. Sadface. Please put at least one of the following on your menu: French toast or French Dips. That way I don't have to fuel up at Antoni's (which has GREAT food, review forthcoming) before I walk over to you guys. And, hey, both are EASY to have on hand. Really... you already have the meat, the buns... just some ajus and we're golden... Well, after I add swiss cheese and some sauted mushrooms and onions. Sigh... You have pleased my husband immensely with your jalapeno mac'n'cheese and nachos. My needs are few and simple and The Pit does a fair job of meeting them. It could use a dedicated stage (instead of singing in the middle of the tables) and perhaps better furniture (the chairs are sort of bulky and uncomfortable--hey, bulky matters when you have to walk through them to the singing spot). I'd love them to redo the décor in the K room... maybe a more Margaritaville thing so I felt I was on vacation in there. But otherwise, I'm pretty dang happy with The Pit Stop and it's a favorite go-to for us. Oh, and it's great for BDay parties, BTW. You can get your name on the readerboard sign. Very satisfying... especially for a karaoke whore. What? I don't want attention... (yes I do).

I like karaoke. I mean, I really, REALLY like karaoke. When I hear a song for the first time that I enjoy, my first thought is usually, "Could I convincingly sing this at karaoke?" So you get my drift here. And that is why I'm giving this place five stars--if you enjoy it as much as I do, you will love the vibe you get here. Just tell the adorable KJ what you want to sing from their extensive catalog, and wait for your time to shine. Your time to shine will likely be several times throughout the evening, even with a bustling crowd! So much fun. I have had their burgers and their Philly cheese steak, which were both so bomb, so for just dinner, I give this a definite thumbs up as well. I like my drinks for the price, just wish they had oranges for a twist. Best part (in my opinion): I don't have to make the hellish trek to and from Portland from the west side. When I want a casual Friday night of fun, this is my place!

My roommate and I ordered Pabst tall boys and they were barely cold. Asked the bartender to get something else but the manager said they were "Cold enough" .. the bartender was nice but managment is garbage.

Went here the other weekend with a friend. We got a couple a beers, watched some NBA All-Star game activities, and hung out for an hour or two. The beer was fine and reasonably priced. The clientele is eclectic. The service was a bit slow. Lots of TV's, a couple pool tables. Just an average bar/restaurant in Beaverton.

VERY impressed... I'm a regular at Leroy's, and really enjoyed their grub. Good smoke ring, tender, and flavorful meat. Beans were good (a lil mushy), and the slaw was good as well. Wish they had some greens on the "sides" vs. the 20 kinds of taters. I will be back...

The $1 beers may have contributed to my previous review. Still a solid inexpensive joint with plenty of entertainment and good food.

I've become something of a regular at the Pit Stop, largely because the KJ is an excellent human being who never fails to have the song I'm asking for. I always have a great time doing karaoke here, and the crowd's just large enough to make the experience fun, but not so huge that it keeps you from getting a lot of opportunity to sing. I only hesitate to give this place five stars because I've never had a full-on meal there, but the snacks and libations have been solid, and the waitstaff is always kind, whether I'm double-fisting the alcoholic beverages, or just sticking to Diet Cokes.

I decided to give this place another go the other day. My memories of this place were not horrible, but lacked luster in the food department. To my amazement they had put out a whole new menu. No more nacho's (no big loss there). There special that night was a Bacon wrapped steak. Helllllssss yes I ordered that! I was cooked perfectly, but was lacking in the seasoning department. My friend who had ordered "The Cuban" traded me half of his for the remainder of my steak. God bless that man, for as soon as my teeth sunk into the Pit Stops take on the Cuban I was awash in a river of flavor. It was a 1 2 punch to my taste buds. I was sold! Felt a little foolish for jumping on the Bacon band wagon. Can ya blame me though, Bacon wrapped Steak. Say it with out getting all watery in the mouth. I also had the Jalapeño Mac&Cheese. It was awesome!. I can honestly say that I was beside myself with this most recent visit. Night and day! Way to step it up Pit Stop. I'll be back!

Enjoy going here often. Staff is alway great and on top of it. Beers and drinks are good and great place to watch games. I always sit in the restaurant area which you can't tell isn't the bar. The smaller bar area is where dreams go to die. Food is just bar food. Nothing great nothing horrible. I wish they would fire up that smoker on the side of the place more often and become the premier BBQ place in the area. I send and take people there for games and the feeling about food is mutual.

Funtastic time the KJ Dan is the man, if it is out there he will find it for you so you can sing to your lil hearts content. The bartenders are rockin cool and hard workin like you wouldn't believe...special mention to Joyce and Jess...they can improv a drink off a minor hint and a sick name, a game I like to play whilst getting my drunk on. Groovy crowd of all walks of life and they have pool to boot! Need I say more? come on down and we can play the game.

Great place to get a few drinks, watch a football game, and shoot some pool. The staff is wicked friendly too. The food though isn't the greatest. The beef brisket was dry and not too flavorful. Nice place to hang out and drink, but eat beforehand.

Plenty of parking, nice beer selection, and the food is great - I'm a big fan of the breakfast which you can order all day. Karaoke is fun, the KJ doesn't do rotations but it also doesn't get too busy so you get to sing a lot. It may seem really busy, but I know a lot of people are there just to hang out, not to sing. It's a dive, but in a good way. The lights are low, lots of screens playing different sports. There's a screen with a camera when you sing karaoke so people in the other room get to watch too. The crowd is casual, a bit older yet still varied in age. The women's restroom is clean and they have those swinging doors that make me feel like a cowboy when I walk through them, which is fun. The only knock down is because of slow service. The waitress that comes to our table is scarce, and it takes a while to get the bartender's attention. I think they would benefit by having one more person working.

This is a great place to watch games or just go hang out. I like the way they setup the dining room with all the TVs available. In a time when good service is hard to find they got it right. The service was fantastic as was the food. I would highly recommend this place.

I have been here several times in the past couple months and I was always excited to go back. Unfortunately, the past couple times i have been have been almost awful. My husbands burger (Chipotle Burger of some sort) was beyond salty. He is not a picky eater and couldn't get past a couple bites. When he told the waitress, she had this dumb *ss look on her face, with her head cocked to the side. I think she might have been new, as I had never seen her before. I ordered a Rueben, and was told about 10 minutes later they were out of corned beef. So I ordered the fish and chips. My fish and chips didn't come out until my husband had already given up on his burger. My garlic fries were totally different than my husbands. Tons of fresh soggy garlic, as if the garlic was an afterthought. Meanwhile, my husbands garlic fries were amazing, and the crunchy garlic on his was just what I was missing with mine. In the past, I have enjoyed the BBQ, chipotle burger, and fish and chips. But it seems as though they are not very consistent. hmm.

I really like this place. Its not too big, not too crowded, very reasonable prices and has just a homey feel. The wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. If you're indecisive about dinner, choose the Smoked Meat Sampler--plentiful helpings of baby back ribs, brisket and pulled pork with a side of your choice. Sauce is served on the side in squeeze bottles...one mild, one spicy. The BBQ is the real deal complete with tasty bark and nice smoke ring. The portion size is enough for a full lunch the next day.
