Thai Hi 5 Restaurant Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

My son and I stopped in for lunch today after not having been here for over a year. It turns out that there is a new owner, new business name, and completely remodeled interior which now features what I am guessing is a 200+ gal. saltwater reef aquarium in the center of the dining room. We each had a lunch special that was well priced at $6.95. I had the Cashew Nut with chicken and my son had an Eggplant dish. Both were really good. The server that helped us was very friendly and attentive and the owner came out to make sure everything was okay. Great experience!

Had the Green Curry and it was amazing. I travel all over the Portland metro area and eat at all sorts of places and this place had the best green curry I've had. Other places have good stuff too but Thai Hi had a little something extra that made it that much better. Good service by a very attentive waitress. Good prices for lunch too!

I took my guy to Thai Hi 5 on a Saturday for lunch. The restaurant is located in downtown Beaverton with no private parking lot. Luckily, I found street parking a few blocks away. The restaurant is very small. I think that's ok since they appear to do a lot of take-out. We were the only customers eating inside the restaurant at 12:30 pm, but three groups of customers came to order or pick up take-out while we dined. We ordered the pad thai, pad kee mao, and pineapple fried rice (all medium spicy). While we waited, we got up and took a closer look at the huge saltwater tank in the middle of the restaurant. It was nice that there weren't any other customers there because we were checking out the tank for a full 10 minutes. The tropical fish were entertaining. The pad thai wasn't soupy, but it also wasn't street-style fried. It was sooooo sweet. I thought that was going to be an issue for me (and my picky bf), but we demolished the entire dish in the restaurant. The pad kee mao was ok. There wasn't anything bad about it, but it also wasn't the "kapow" kind that I've been searching for since Typhoon closed down. Why is it so hard to find an awesome, hot pad kee mao in this town? I can't really review the pineapple rice since I ate around the rice. I picked out the pineapple pieces (which were good). My bf says it wasn't great. It's pretty much what you could get at any thai restaurant. He prefers the street style fried version at Esan. The service was good. The waitress refilled our water glasses several times throughout the meal. She was attentive at the appropriate times. The not so great: halfway through our meal, the staff started hauling items from outside through the front door and into the kitchen in back. They left the door open and the restaurant got really cold (I was already wearing a sweater). I'm guessing this place doesn't have a back door? It didn't seem appropriate to do at a time when customers were present. Overall, I would go for the pad thai again. I also saw a few duck dishes on the menu that I wouldn't mind trying.

i eat for lunch every now and then. great food. i really like the fried calamari and their curries. parking can be a challenge in downtown beaverton so...they'll get that 5th star when they stop parking their own company car right in front of their own restaurant, effectively blocking paying customers from finding a spot to park!!!

Have to update my review, they've gotten way better in the past couple months. Pad Thai is awesome, peanut sauce is on point and their veggies are crispy and fresh. Delivery used to take over an hour but they've sped up and are usually here within an hour. People are friendly and this is the best thai I've had in the area. They've definitely improved and become the only spot I go to for thai food in the suburbs.

Ok is about right. Downtown beavo so parking is limited to what you can find on the street -- not so convenient and plenty of competition with other eateries adjacent or within short walking distances. What I liked: 1. Immediate greet and seat 2. CLEAN 3. They have extra peppers, pastes and siracha to add spices as needed. Food: crispy, handmade wontons. Excellent, hot and crisp. Very light and fall apart crisp. The flavoring is subtle, the sauce is sweet. Quite nice and would be great with an ice cold beer or two. Drunken Noodles: aka Pad Kee Mao and various spellings follow. I've learned long ago to ask for the pad thai style noodles which I LOVE compared to the usual flat, wide noodles - try it. I ordered HOT which was right at my limit (calibrated limit = two balls of fire at Salvador Molly's). The veggie mix of red/green bell peppers and carrots was okay. It included the requisite basil but overall was not my favorite for what's available in a 15mile radius (Thai Princess in Hillsboro but WATCH THE HEALTH SCORES). I would like to see addition of broccoli, tomato, bamboo shoots and be more liberal with the sauce. Rice noodles suck up a lot of juice so it's best to OVER sauce them. Service was great! We had multiple water refills without running dry -- seems obvious but it is just plain odd how often we have to ask with waving arms and feigning imitations of fish out of water. I will return... Keep it there as a permanent Thai option for me.

We decided to forego our go-to Thai and give Thai Hi 5 a try last weekend. I was persuaded by the quote they posted On their website; something about wanting to develop central Beaverton with small businesses. I'm on board with that, so we went. It was average in every sense of the word. Like other reviewers have said, perhaps I should have tried the recommended curries, but instead I went for the test dish of basil friend rice (a pre req at all new Thai spots) and I wasn't blown away. Lots of fresh veggies, but very little spice. Very attentive service, but small loud interior. Need another visit to confirm review...

Love this place. I have eaten at the restaurant but usually order delivery. Awesome Pad Thai and the other items we have ordered have been yummy too.

Thai Hi 5 is AWESOME!! My husband has a lot of dietary restrictions - no wheat, no soy, no dairy, no eggs. The folks at Thai Hi 5 cheerfully answer all of our questions about ingredients and recognize him when he calls. And the food is delicious! My top rec is the peanut panang curry (obvs I don't have the same restrictions as the husbot). For a few months we were getting takeout from there at least once a week. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I were on our way to lunch and figure we go to Tan Tan but the place was packed. We figured we would try something else for a change. We walked into the restuarant didn't really get a warm greeting and we sat ourselves down. The placed looked really nice and clean. We got handed waters first and then menus. Took about ten minutes on the menu and kinda knew what we were going to eat. The table had happy hour signs so I went ahead and ordered one app and one entree. First of all took about 30 minutes to get our soup. We order tom yum which came out first. then 20 minutes later my appetizer came out. Then 15 minutes later for our entrees. The plates didn't look all that nice and the entree I order was dry. I had ordered the Gai Yang, chicken with powdered curry. We finished the Tom Yum and the shrimp wrap appetizer but barely ate the meal. Then the waiter brought us our check and I noticed that my mean didn't get happy hour price. We spoke to the waiter and he said happy hour wasn't availiable for that day because it was new years day. He did offer to give us a discount thought. Although I was like if it wasn't on happy hour I wouldn't have gotten that entree in the first place. I would not go to this place again. Bad experience.

Mango Sticky Rice was excellent! Quite pricy at $7 thought. Main dishes was not spicy at all, may be I will need to specific ask for it, even the dish was called "Spicy Eggplant". Overall it was not bad and will definitely go back. It was at old town Beaverton, so street parking was hard to find.

Pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles are AWESOME!!! Normal price. Friendly staff. I can't wait to eat here again :) :)

Looking at decent reviews decided to order to go Disappointed to say the least. Threw my order out (Peanut Panang Curry w/ chicken), looked like slop. Pot stickers were greasy overcooked, no second chance warranted.

I just ate lunch here for the first time, and it blew my Thai loving mind!!! Their lunch soup that they give you is SO delicious that I asked for a second helping before my lunch arrived. My friendly server indulgently obliged and was happy with my feedback! She then brought out my Pad Kee Mao that I had modified to be a Pad See Ew/Pad Kee Mao hybrid, and I scarfed it so fast I burned the roof of my mouth. I'm not mad about it. It's a delightful reminder of the tastiest lunch I have had in a VERY long time.

It's one of the hidden Thai food gems! The food is fresh, healthy and one of the best Thai food I have eaten in Portland! The owner I met is very warm and took good care of us. Thanks! Complimentary salad with peanut sauce is a good start for lunch. It had super fresh lettuce and cabbage. Crunch and munch munch. Thanks! What stood out for was Stir fry eggplant with tofu. Eggplant chunks were well fried and delicious. I would definitely recommend it and order it again. Yellow curry with tofu was bit sweet for my taste. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients! Also what stood out for me was Atmosphere. You can hear mild sounds of water gush coming from their wooden fountain. Lots of green plants around. And wait for it! What an AQUARIAM they have maintained. Lots of live corals!! You can see them moving. Tiny starfishes, colorful fishes, NEMO too;). Oh you can just admire the marine life! I am giving this place 5 starts for the energy they have maintained around this place, warm service, maintaining stunning aquariam, fresh and delicious food! This place is a value for money. I will try it again for dinner and highly recommend this place.

For Thai food on the west side, this is the place! The food here has never failed to impress me. Since my 2nd or 3rd time here, they remember me. The staff are friendly, the service is fast, the portions are large, and the food is always delicious. If you aren't sure what to get, you can't go wrong with the pad cashew (add garlic) or the lemongrass pad Thai.

THEY DELIVER...seriously and get our orders correct...right there they earned their five stars. And they have pretty awesome food too. The strangest part of my order was the can of root beer which they wrapped in a paper bag and taped. Kept it cold but made me giggle. We ordered the appetizer combo sans the fried tofu. So we were able to taste the chicken satay, crab won tons, potstickers and Spring rolls...all were pretty tasty. We also ordered Pad Thai and Crab fried rice which were both also wonderful. Their dipping sauces were all very flavorful and they gave us salad rolls for free with our order as a surprise which was super nice!

We love thai food. And we're vegetarian. Even with small portions, this place is close to home and usually decent enough. Today not so much. We ordered pad see ew and an overwhelming smell of fish came with the dish. Both of us were reluctant to taste it, but we googled the recipe and normally there's no fish in this noodle dish. I've sent food back a couple times in my day. Today, the guy didn't even give me a chance. I asked him if fish in the dish and he looked at me like I was outta my mind. "Could it have been cooked in a pan that was fishy?" No response. We sat at our tiny booth staring at the fishy noodles for about 5 minutes. The guy came over, removed the smelly plate, no words, and returned a moment later with a bill for the $3 appetizer. My daughter and I are now sitting at La Hacienda Real enjoying a huge delicious veggie quesadia and a friendly wonderful waitstaff.

I ordered from this restaurant tonight and it took well over an hour for them to get me my food that was lukewarm when it got here and there were no utensils or napkins. Naturally I called and asked for a discount. After waiting on hold for about 15 minutes I was told that the manager would personally bring me the ten dollars that I requested. I spent $30. I thought it was strange but I agreed since I wanted my money and they claim that they don't like doing refunds to cards as it takes too long and they have had problems with it not working in the past. When he finally showed up he said that he hoped that I wouldn't call them again. I said thanks, took my money and went inside. Never EVER ordering from here again.

Excellent and at 4 in the afternoon we almost had it all to ourselves. The Green Curry medium hot with chicken was perfect. Donna's Pad Ruam Mid with Shrimp was also perfect. Service was warm and perfect

We got the pineapple curry which was tasty, and the spice level was good! We also tried the Kua-Ging. The waitress was very skeptical of our ability to handle spicy food and she tried to talk us out of it - in truth, it wasn't too spicy, just a nice warmth. I liked the food, but I didn't like the waitress telling us that we cannot handle spicy foods.

I am really impressed about this place, I used to go a lot to Thai Roses whenever I was in the area, and then I heard from someone who had been at Thai Hi5 that it was owned by same owner, so I couldn't wait to try their food, even if lately haven't come to this part of town often. I finally had the opportunity and I tried different items and my girlfriend tried different things too. The one I really tasted really good and was fresh was I think the stir fried eggplants with shrimp, it was so yummy. Maybe it was a bit of a small portion, compared to Thai Roses, and other Thai restaurants in general, but the taste was fantastic. We also tried some rolls, I did not think the crispy rolls were that good though, there was nothing inside, just one filament of cabbage or so, while Thai Roses has more veggies inside, the chunky mushroom among them, and they are much bigger. But I guess I want to give it 5 stars anyway, because of the yummy taste, and because they are so nice too, it'd be great thought if portions could increase a bit in the future!!

So I was craving pad Thai late night. This place happened to be open until 10:30!! Called in my to go order and arrived 10 minutes later to pick it up. Needles to say I ended up barfing it all up after discovering two eyelashes stuck to a noodle!!! Absolutely disgusting!!!! Will never go here again!!!

I live in Oregon City now but I actually go back to -Beaverton- of all places to get the food here. I haven't found a better place closer to me and I love how they have true Massamun curry on the menu, the kind that's slow cooked beef chuck. Delicious.

The only thing we ever get here is the chicken pad thai for takeout, but we get it all the time because it's AWESOME. So classic and yummy and a huge proportion so we always split it. They're always super fast and have it ready when we get there. Love them!

I can't stop eating here. I found this place while getting my board waxed next door. Best find ever! I have tried their Red and Green curry both are delicious, im a fan of the red. Their mango sweet rice desert is also delicious. I've also had their fried squid, another great dish. The only thing I thought was kind of odd is that their soda is sold in cans, but it's nothing to stop me from going once a week.

My wife and I have come into Thai Hi 5 a few times now. Each time our food is consistently very tasty. I usually get the chicken pad krapow and she orders the fried eggplant with tofu. Both are awesome We eat a fair amount of Thai/Vietnamese food, so the bar is set fairly high with us. Definitely recommend if you like this type of food. Nice to have another good food option in Beaverton

My first time going into a Thai Restaurant in years. My craving for soothing spicy after a midterm was what called me over. Honestly I've passed by this place like 20 times going to school and never really gave it much thought, despite the multitude of fliers and ads in the paper. I finally gave it a go, as my stomach was grumbling and my taste buds were in for something spicy. I ventured in and was greeted with a pleasant decor, soft music and a really nice and cozy atmosphere. One of the waitresses came up to me and instantly asked if I wanted take out or dine in. (seems like a lot of people order out) and chose to take out, as I was in hurry. I took a seat at the bar and was given a glass of water. and began to scan through eh menu, the prices aren't too outrageous and for 8 bucks I got a plate of Thai Basil Chicken or Gai Pad Krapow. You can choose between beef, pork, tofu, or seafood. Which is great, it's nice to have the option. I waited for 20- 25 minutes for my meal sipping my water and enjoying the atmosphere. Once I had my meal I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of rice, usually Asian restaurants will skimp out on the rice, but not TH5! I thoroughly enjoyed the basil chicken it was super spicy, full of flavor and best thing of all NO MSG. I would have rated this 5 but the parking was a huge issue, and the only place you can find is Beaverton Bakery across the street. OVER I had a great experience and would definitely go again.

Still one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the metro area. I love their curries, or a quick lite order of chicken satay and salad rolls. Great prices, attentive and friendly service, still love the gorgeous saltwater tank. FYI There was a different Thai restaurant at this location. The quality was pretty uneven, not nearly as clean and reliably fresh and tasty as Thai Hi-5.

Pad Thai is always the first dish I will try when visiting a new Thai restaurant. I stopped in at Thai Hi 5 on my lunch break the other day, since it's conveniently located by my work. I had called in an order of the Chicken Pad Thai, medium heat, for pick up. When I arrived there 15 minutes later, my food was already bagged and ready to go at the front counter, which was nice. Being a lunch special, it was pretty reasonably priced at just $6.95 for a sizable portion. As for the Pad Thai itself...SICKNASTY! Avoid it. The whole thing was very oily, the noodles were gummy, and the toppings were sparse. It simply had some sprouts tossed about, and a lime slice on the side. The juicy, crunchy green onions are usually one of my favorite elements of Pad Thai, and I think there were maybe two tiny, very shriveled up green onions in the entire dish. The overall flavor was not great, and a little too sweet for my taste. As for the heat, well, there was none. Incredibly underwhelming, but at least now I know! Still on a mission to try every Thai restaurant in the Portland area. FYI: A friend had recommended this place, saying he had really enjoyed a curry dish... so, maybe their rice dishes are a better bet. All I know is that with plenty of other superior Thai restaurants in the area, I probably won't be back any time soon. Three stars only because I don't think one bad dish is enough to give the place as a whole a two, until I've tried other dishes. Plus, the service was prompt and the prices pretty competitve, so that ups it a star in my book. Just don't get the Pad Thai, for the love of all things holy. I still cringe thinking about it.

I seriously loved the food from this place! The restaurant is a little small and dark so I would give it a 4 STAR, but I thought the ladies were really nice. THIS IS A 5 STAR TAKEOUT SHOP, FOR SURE!! I wish they were in a bigger location though. I know, if wishes were ponies we'd all be riding. Still, the food is great!

Their food deserves 5 stars, it's absolutely delicious. They are getting three stars for their lack of customer service and making my boyfriend and I feel very unwelcome. We went in at 9:20 to place a to-go order because they were unable to deliver so we had to drive there and the second we walked through the door the woman behind the counter leaned over to a man and instantly starts whispering while looking at us....RUDE. It instantly made us feel unwelcomed. She promptly told us to go only (which we were fine with, I had already called earlier and this was the plan) but then as we are ordering she is letting out an impatient sigh and then with no smile or warmth pushes our food across the counter to us when it's ready. We only ordered one dish and an iced tea! I get it was late but the sign says OPEN. If you don't want customers, turn it off. Great product is nothing if you don't have the customer service to back it up. I probably won't be back to give them my business despite the great food.

Dropped by for lunch today and was fairly impressed. The place is super clean which means a great deal to me personally. Appetizer - Fried Wontons - 5 stars, crispy and delicious a bit of chicken in the middle. Pad Ke Mao - Very good in the top 4 I have tried, asked for HOT and man was it HOT, made my lips burn and sweat appear under my eyes with just a few bites. Pad Thai Chicken - It was OK, I had forgotten how sweet Pad Thai was so I doused it with some chili peppers. The noodles were a big gummy I noticed, but it was OK. I also noticed there were no crushed peanuts on the top, kind of odd. Service was top notch, out water glass was never empty. I wonder how they would be in a busy lunch service, it took quite some time for our meal to be prepared and served and there were only 4 others in the whole place. I could do without the huge fish tank in the middle of the place, the placement is awkward and they could fit a few more tables in there if they ditched it. Solid 3 stars, I will probably return at some point, but it would not be a destination restaurant for me.

Love this place. I have eaten at the restaurant but usually order delivery. Awesome Pad Thai and the other items we have ordered have been yummy too.

Looking at decent reviews decided to order to go Disappointed to say the least. Threw my order out (Peanut Panang Curry w/ chicken), looked like slop. Pot stickers were greasy overcooked, no second chance warranted.

Love them!
