In the midst of a busy day out with friends we stopped here to refuel at lunchtime. The server was very nice. The Pad Thai with fresh Dungeness Crab sounded unusual so I ordered it as did a friend. We both liked it. Our other friends enjoyed Chicken Panang Curry and Pad Thai, everyone thought it was tasty. Our orders did not come out at exactly the same time but it was not a really big deal to any of us. Well priced for what you receive. Clean and fresh decor. Loved the cow salt and pepper shakers on the table.

My 12 year old Son and I were shopping in Rockler and felt like Thai food, so we asked the clerks if there was a good restaurant near by, only to find out this place was just a short walk away. I had been in this parking lot several hundred times over the last 2 decades, but never actually walked into this small shopping mall to see what sort of stores were hidden inside. Just looked at the store front around the outside of Beaverton Square. We were politely greeted and seated right away. The ambiance was nice. It was clean and the dishes were above average. The server seemed like he might have had a bad day, but the food was modestly priced and well above average. We had the Pad Thai w/glass noodles, and their Thai Fried Rice w/Chinese broccoli, tomatoes, pineapple, and raisins. I substituted the cashews for peanuts. It was lightly roasted some how and tasted wonderful, if you would like a sweet slant to fried rice. I highly recommend this place for good Thai food; from the sampling we got that night.

Loved the spicy seafood soup and also tasted one of the curries and pad thai...all were very good. I didn't really care for the Waterfall Beef Salad...the meat would be better served cold and the portion was huge. Will be coming back though, and have a feeling the spicy seafood soup will be a staple of mine this winter.

Pretty good food from what we ordered (shrimp fried rice, crab fried rice, and Thai iced tea). My (shrimp) was maybe a little greasy, and the shrimp a little chewy, but definitely nothing unappetizing and the portions generous. The tea was great.

One of the worst Thai food and dining experiences I have ever had . The Thai food here is at best bland and most disturbing was the restaurants lack of concern for sanitation and the quality of the food. I ordered Pad Ke Mao. While eating the ok dish, I ate a strong bite of MOLD. Gave it another chance, ate a few more bites before I ate another strong bite of MOLD. I have never tasted mold that strong in food and within 10 seconds of examining the dish I saw a lot of the beansprouts were green tipped with visible MOLD. I segregated one beansprout and not wanting to embarrass the server brought the dish towards the kitchen. Once the server came out of the kitchen I said " hey I was eating this and tasted two big bites of mold and I can see it's the beansprouts. I think they are going bad like this one here." The first thing she said is " we don't take food back that's our policy" and she would not take the plate away from me and left me standing there. I said it wasn't a big deal but there was no way I was going to eat anymore of it. She took the dish and said "you still need to pay" I went and sat down at the table again, still hungry thinking, "why would I pay for food that was inedible?" So when we went up to the counter and I said "I really couldn't eat that food because of the mold, it doesn't seem fair to have to pay for it" She said " only a little mold, you pay" Only a little mold??? I was amazed how unapologetic she was! Just trying to keep it low key and she was acting like we had done something wrong. THEN she went to the back got my quarter eaten dish and said " you show me more mold" I was not going to dig through that plate to show her the mold. She ended up taking off $5 and definitely lost a customer for a lifetime. Disgusting. Take responsibility. Not to mention sprouts are associated with multiple outbreaks of harmful bacteria like salmonella or the toxic forms of Escherichia coli.

Great place to eat, the food is top notch and the service was exceptional. I would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone that appreciate Thai food.

Ordered out and got something completely different than I ordered. Supposedly chinese broccoli has no actual brocolli fronds and also the dish was packed with shitake mushrooms which weren't listed on the menu for this dish. I hate shitake mushrooms. I also got the pad ped which was a curry dish with rice and they brought me a noodle dish. I am allergic to peanuts and I'm sure this contained peanut sauce. They replaced the order which was nice but what they brought me to replace it mostly contained short canned green beans and canned ginger. We will never eat here again. No fresh veggies and had to fill up on nothing but rice for dinner basically.

+ Good size portions + Went for dinner but like that they have lunch specials + Thai fried rice was exceptional! Not overly greasy, pork tender and flavorful, enough of it, lots of vegetables. I hate how some places skimp on the veggies and it's 99% rice.

I found this Thai restaurant by word of mouth from a FedEx guy. I didn't have breakfast and was starving for lunch and arrived a bit earlier (11:30). There was one other patron already eating. I looked at Yelp and the reviews were good. Okay, let's give it a try. Was greeted with a warm smile by the host and promptly seated and served water. Thai food is one of my favorite foods. I eat it every week back home in California. My go to dish is green curry with pork. But I felt like trying something new so I selected the spicy drunken noodles with pork. Wow! So fresh and delicious! This restaurant is not visible from the street. It's tucked away in a shopping center off Beaverton/Hillsdale Blvd.

Thai food that is good. Pad See Ew- was bomb. Excellent service and friendly staff. Would return to and bring friends and family. Great.

I thought this place was pretty good. Wonton soup had plenty of wontons with a light meaty filling and good vegetable flavor. Lots of fresh vegetables and herbs, I like it when everything in a light soup like that still has some crunch. Broth was pretty good with a splash of fish sauce. The pad see ew had lots of crisp fresh Chinese broccoli, which I love, enough beef and was a decent sized portion for the price. It's not my new favorite have-you-tried-this-yet Thai place, but I'd come back.

It looks to be a pretty standard fare Thai place, and it is. I was driven to come here after failed attempts to get delicious Japanese and Korean food in the area. I really just needed to eat, so I just ordered the pineapple red curry with tofu and inhaled it before going back to work. It was all fine and good, until I realized some of the tofu was cold, inside and out. It wasn't icy, but it was watery cold. Thoroughly unimpressed. The service was nice, at least. I just don't think I'll be coming back. P.S. Intimidating old man grumpily sitting when you enter the restaurant? Okay, that'll certainly get you more business.

  • Brandy W.

As a vegetarian thai is usually a good option for me. The sauce has good flavor(hence the 2 star rating), but the tofu is really tough and chewy plus 90% of the veggies in my dish are carrots. :( I will not be returning. Sadness!

This is the third time I have had the Pad Se Ew here. It is so much better than any other I have had. Fabulous flavor and the broccoli has just the right amount of crisp left, it is just done perfectly. It is also well decorated, lovely and warm colors and the food comes very quickly. We love eating here!

Really yummy and affordable! I had the pad thai for lunch and it was served fast and it was super fresh and delicious. The portion was huge and I had plenty leftover to take home. The place was empty, which surprised me, but I did take a later lunch. I would definitely recommend. I will be back. And maybe even order to go to take some home.

We ordered drunken noodles and pad Thai. It was good, but I wouldn't classify as great. It was takeout, however. Might have been better if we ate there.

I am a regular here and pretty much stick to my must try list: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ + + + MARKI's Must try list + + + + Curried shrimp fried rice + + Mee Grob + + Spicy Green Curry + + Stir fried seafood w/ garlic sauce + + Spicy seafood with basil leaves + + + +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The sweet (not too sweet) Mee Grob and the spicy green curry are just too good together. Best curried fried rice you will ever have. I tend to stay away from the noodle dishes here but you can give it a shot and let me know.

SIGH..I so wanted to love this place. My second time eating here. Did not get part of my order...the one waitress sat in the corner listening to headphones ignoring us. Could not get more napkins. I got up and got condiment s from the table near us. We were the only customers at 5pm. We should have felt doted upon. When she was at our table, she didnt speak enough english to take our order properly and had to ask someone in the kitchen to translate some questions we had about the food. . We ordered two starters...satay and potstickers. Satay was ok...peanut sauce had little flavor other than peanut. Pot stickers were deep fried not pan fried. This made them crunchy on the outside with blazing hot watery porky insides. Weird. Deep fried pot stickers? Not stuck to the pot? Weird. Two mains: Seafood basil had exactly two mussels two shrimp two medium scallops and four little calmari rings. The rest veggies. Had beef with basil...no chicken on the menu like I am used to. Beef was tough strips of BOILED meat. The rest was american veggies. Not what I expected. I will definately not be back. I wish I had not left a tip. I was kinda insulted but ended up tipping ten percent.

The price is reasonable but I would rather spend a little more to get a better thai basil chicken. They should called it Thai basil pepper since that was all I got. 3 stars for a descent pathai and ice coffee.

I wonder if the owners have changed in the recent years. The restaurant was dead when we had lunch.Seating area was clean but the atmosphere/decor was awkward. Great service overall but our food was rather bland in comparison to other Thai restaurants in the area. Will most likely not come back when there are better options nearby.

Thai Aspara has been a name in Beaverton for quite a few years. Even before the proliferation of Thai restaurants Thai Aspara was a good place to enjoy the flavors of Thailand and Southeast Asia. The restaurant is located in Beaverton Town Square. The interior is bright, clean, and well decorated. Large windows give diners an almost 180 degree view of the shopping center. The staff is friendly, attentive, and very willing to alter the menu to your likings. Speaking of the menu, Thai Aspara's menu is huge. Thai, Chinese, and Cambodian dishes are offered. Among the offerings are soups, salads, curries, noodles, rice dishes, and stir fries. The dishes are very well plated and absolutely delicious. Most entrees are below $10. Lunch specials are offered and most dishes come with a scrumptious fresh vegetable soup. One dish sticks out in my mind: Cambodian chicken. This fantastic dish is fried marinated bone in chicken. Been waiting for a Cambodian restaurant to pop up around the Portland area. Until that happens I will content myself with Thai Aspara's Cambodian Chicken. The long lasting Thai Aspara is a restaurant that distinguishes itself quite nicely in a large sea of Thai restaurants.

Very friendly service and prompt. I guess each restaurant has its best dishes and not so great dishes. We have been coming here for 20 years, with the previous owner and current owner. Our favorite dishes are: Tom Yum (they don't make that big red color) so it is tasty and nice clean broth. Yellow, Red curry are great. Curry with pineapple and pumpkin are good. My husband likes the Pad Thai but my kids like the Cambodian fried chicken (it comes with bones, well marinated on the sweet side). Rad Nah and Pad Kee Mao are good but small portion. Hope people found their favorites here like we did.

This wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't good. Some of the veggies were obviously frozen and it is summer, so there is really no excuse for that (frozen peas in my green curry?). The Pad thai was okay in a bland way. The green curry had good flavor but the frozen peas really threw me off. Also, the eggplant was squishy purple (american style) eggplant instead of the delicious varieties of japanese eggplant that you would usually find in a green curry. Service was excellent Final Verdict: Maybe it is good for a quick lunch (if the location is convenient). Otherwise, try somewhere else. .

Good place for Thai food. It's tucked away in this little strip mall right around the corner from Pho Van and Trader Joe's. I see more Thai restaurants around here than any other asian food...kinda interesting. Can't go wrong with most anything on the menu but you can find much better Phad Thai at one of the MANY other Thai restaurants in the area.

Thai Apsara is hidden deep inside of Beaverton Square. It is worth finding, as one of the tastier Thai joints in the 'tron. I am totally hooked on their curries. The spicy red is smoky and delicious. And spicy. And the salt shakers are pretty cute.

Takeaway menus outside said delivery was available through d-dish. We were thrilled to hear of a delivery service and tried the food that night. There were some problems and a couple of major sins. Here is our order: Miang kum: inedibly dried coconut and dehydrated shrimp with peanuts and a bit of raw red onion, served with a different wrapper-leaf than the menu specified. It was like trying to eat wood. We could not make it through one bite. Rice paper rolls: inoffensive, but flavorless. I gave up and used them as a delivery device for the side of peanut sauce I paid extra for. Worth every penny. Wonton soup: one of many standard Chinese items on the menu, but with a strangely sweet lemongrass broth instead of the classic ginger-scallion-dash-of-sesame. The menu said "homemade broth", but did not specify that it was their not-what-you-think-when-you-think-of-wonton-soup version. It was heavy with bok choy stems (some leaves and stems are great; two inches of floating white stems are not). The pork was small slices of very dry, flavorless meat, not a rich surprise but a thing to avoid. I love subtle soups, but bland does not equal subtle. Pad Thai (my husband's) was the usual five pounds of noodles, but it was barely sauced. He ordered it with medium spice, which apparently means one scoop of dried chile flakes on top as a garnish. Not okay. Stir-fried beef with Chinese broccoli: it is really lots of broccolini with a few small pieces of beef. Small pieces of good quality meat -- this is a welcome change from some of the jagged chunks of meat some restaurants expect you to wrangle without knife and fork, but still: only a few pieces. I ordered my spice level hot, which apparently means a scoop of dried chiles cooked in as well as a scoop of dried flakes on top. Sigh. There is a dark sauce that is also a mystery, since it is loose and not flavorful. "Is only brown and water." The crime: as I was churning the dish to incorporate the chiles, trying to rehydrate them a bit, I saw that there were no shiitake mushrooms as described in the menu. There were a few small pieces of what were clearly white button mushrooms and no pieces of shiitake at all. Zero. I chose this instead of ginger beef because it said "flavorful shitake mushroom" in the description. Lack of truth in advertising irks me deeply. Especially when food is delivered. This is the sort of issue that can be corrected in the restaurant. Either the waiter explains that they're out of something at the time you order, or you send it back to the kitchen and get something else. But those of us who order delivery are stuck with what we get. Which means the restaurant should really try to get it right. Other menu items may be stellar, but what we ordered was not exactly what they delivered, and what they delivered wasn't exactly tasty. I doubt we'll try again.

This is good, decent thai food. I usually come here out of convenience, but they have always had the same quality of food. The atmosphere is fine, and it is nice to watch people walking through the little courtyard at Beaverton Town Center, much nice than the standard restaurant view of parking lots. The service is fine, neither great nor especially lacking. But, this is not a place I would take out-of-towners to show off my town.

The food was okay, the chicken was dry and not as good as the first time I came here in June. Also, when I got home I realized that they gave us the wrong bill. We ended up getting charged for 3 dishes when we only had 2 and a drink. I thought it was quite high, but I was in a hurry and paid in cash. I called the restaurant the very next day and they knew exactly who I was. But no apology for the mix up and I was over changed $11 some odd dollars. So i told them I would come pick up the money later that evening. (keep in mind this restaurant was totally out of the way on my way back home from work) BUT, What blew me away was that this waitress had the nerve to hand me $8. Mind you I left a 20% tip on an over charged bill. So she basically tipped herself about $8 on what was suppose to be $20 bill. Nice huh? No apology or anything she just handed it to me with a look of annoyance. So BEWARE!!! Check your bill CAREFULLY!!!

I was wandering by this place on my way to the bank and decided to stop in for a bite. The dining room was empty when I arrived at noon. There was only one other occupied table. Hmmmm. That always spooks me a little, but the photo menu by the door beckoned me inside. I ordered the Drunken Noodles with chicken. I asked for "medium" spicy, which I've found could mean just about anything in a Thai restaurant. I also got a Thai iced tea. The tea was gigantic, which was nice. I didn't have to ask for a refill. My entree was also quite generously portioned, but it was pretty much just a big plate of brown noodles. Not much flavor or complexity and certainly not the best Pad Kee Mao I've ever had. The noodles had zero heat, so I asked for some spicy condiments to pep them up. I was disappointed to find that the fresh chile pot contained pickled jalapenos, like the kind people put on nachos. Bummer. I prefer those wicked little Thai chiles sliced up in fish sauce. The lunch special price was quite reasonable and the service was just fine. Can't say I'd go out of my way to eat at this place again. There are so many other Thai options in the general vicinity.

Pad Se Ew was alright. Chicken was pretty bland, a bit too much broccoli and the "medium" wasn't quite spicy enough. I'll try the Spicy Green Curry next time based on other recommendations.

I've eaten at every Thai restaurant in Beaverton several times and this is my least favorite. The salad rolls, for instance, only have rice noodles, carrot, and ice berg lettuce -- no basil or cilantro to give it flavor, and the vegetarian appetizer doesn't even come with tofu. With the appetizers, you generally get one of two sauces: either the bright red bottled Chinese buffet sweet and sour sauce, or a "spicy" sauce that is 99% rice wine vinegar. The entrees that I have haven't been as bad as the appetizers, but neither are they the best in Beaverton, although they are some of the most expensive. My bill here is usually as much as my bill at Typhoon (not counting the drinks). The service, however, is good.

I first stumbled upon this place a while back, when, clearly out of my mind (although I suppose one is always looking for methods of amusing oneself in Beaverton...), I wandered away from the familiarity of Trader Joe's--which heretofore had been my sole purpose for frequenting Beaverton Town Square--and into the bowels of what is apparently Beaverton's largest strip mall. Thai Apasara is snuggled cozily in the depths of this labyrinthine ode to suburban sprawl...and is impossible to chance across unless you know what you're looking for (or, in my case, aimlessly circling the entire complex). This is indeed unfortunate, because more folks should be aware of this lovely restaurant. From the outside, the space is well-lit, brightly colored and artistically decorated, and when I returned to Beaverton Town Square months later to finally try the food, I was not disappointed. We were there for lunch, so I can't speak to the dinner offerings, but the lunch specials (at $7.95 a pop, including rice and soup) were satisfying, delectably presented, and a good value for the price. The Pad Thai was above average, with good texture to the noodles. A red coconut curry chicken with green beans and basil was flavorful with a little bit of a kick (this was a mild dish), and plated rather inventively with a two-tiered, star-shaped formation of rice on the side. The service is speedy (although granted it did not seem to be particularly busy) and attentive without being intrusive. Obviously if you are looking for haute cuisine or chichi atmosphere, keep looking, but if you're in the mood for a decent, affordably-priced meal in an appealing and comfortable environment, Thai Apsara is a fitting choice.
