Their burritos are huge, and the one that we purchased was fairly good (Burrito de carnitas is what we got)... But their enchiladas are mediocre at best. And when we told the woman that was helping us that we were finished she disappeared for like 20 minutes, only to pop in again and ask if we were finished. We didn't enter the bar section of the restaurant, but as for the food, I've had much better, and the service was abysmal. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

$1 tacos in 2015, enough said. Well seasoned, not the best in the area, but great bang for your buck. Just order like 20 to go and live off them for a couple days. Al pastor was superior to carne asada. Some confusion with the order, I didn't get a Pacifico I wanted (but didn't get charged) and the bill took awhile to arrive. Just some slight but understandable hiccups with service, no big deal really.

The food is decent. I got a carne asada burrito for 5 dollars, which is a good price. It came with rice, beans and meat in it. I took a couple stars off because the section of the restaurant I ordered the take out from has a stronger cleaner smell. If I were to try and eat the food in the restaurant, I would have gotten sick. Overall, good food and a reasonable price. The ambiance is not good at all.

Ridiculously cheap for some delicious tacos! This is a go-to place on the way home for some quick to-go lengua in this area.

This little hole in the wall place is legit. Best Mexican food I've found in a long time. No frills, just simple and delicious. The tacos are $1. They're small but tasty and authentic. $5 for a burrito that always fills my gut nicely. Sometimes the bar side can get rocking really freaking loud, but it's a small price to pay for food this fresh and delicious. Everything is made to order by one person, so it might take a short while to get your food, but well worth it. The decor is a little lacking... I think you can seat maybe 30 people in the restaurant area, but I've never had a problem getting a table. Seriously, if you're looking for the most legit carnitas burrito or lengua tacos, go here. Now.

It's not the fanciest place and the service can take a long time to put your order in and then get your food. The server is also the cook and is usually in the kitchen and doesn't notice you right away. I'm giving it 4 stars because the food actually is really good. The prices are really good and you can't beat $1.00 Tacos and $5.00 Burritos. Carne Asada, Al Pastor are flavorful and the Carnitas are moist. They usually make the tacos on handmade tortillas. They are small, but bery delicious.

5 stars for the tacos & sope we ate, however the atmosphere left something to be desired. Service was fast & friendly...felt like being on the streets of Mexico but WITHOUTthe 2 for 1 happy hours:( you probably wouldn't be playing video poker either in Mexico lol! I would go back for sure!!

Really good tacos. One of my new favorites. The tacos de lengua were very delicious. They are incredibly tender, moist and flavorful. If you've never tried them, and are a bit adventurous...you've got to taste them. As the other review stated, the staff can sometimes disappear so don't be shy about getting up to look for them if you need something. They were super friendly when they came around.

What happened El Perico??? They seem to have changed their amazing carnitas recipe from a slow-cooked pork to some sort of grilled pork bits deal? Very disappointed.

I've grown very selective of the Mexican places that I frequent and this is one of them. The decor leaves much to be desired and it is the food that you should really focus on. It is one of the best places for sopes in town. The caldo warms my stomach and heart (although they sometimes run out). And the finest handmade tortillas that you can get to go! Everything is reasonably priced. The staff has a tendency to disappear into the back but patient they will return.

A small authentic mexican taqueria that has a lot to offer. Located in a small mall on the corner of sw allen and sw lombard roads in beaverton. I was in the area around lunch time one day and noticed the small sign as i was running by. The place is small inside with only around 8 to 10 tables. I ordered a chicken torta for around $5. The service was good and i got my food in around 10 minutes. The waitress was polite and helpful. I thought the food was good, but a little small in quantity. It did not come with chips or anything on the side. I was still hungry after i walked out. They got a 91 out of 100 at their last health inspection on 10/ 24/2008. I may go back and try something else. I really think it could be a great place to go if they gave me a little more food for $5. Even though my picture makes me appear small, I can eat a lot of food. I really think i'm spoiled by the hillsboro tacquerias that give you massive quantities of food for around $5.

This little place is a 10-minute walk from our house and we go frequently in the summer. The decor is basically fast-food restaurant style attached to a dark bar, but we just go there for the carnitas tacos. They also have TV's up, but usually playing soccer or mexican soap operas, LOL! Their other food is fine, but the carnitas tacos are awesome and only $1.50 (and only $1 on Tuesdays!)!! We load up on a few of them with some beans and rice. The waitress is friendly and yes, the wait staff do usually disappear into the back/kitchen area, but they always return eventually... Go here for cheap, delicious tacos!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
