In regard to the smoking comment , the smoking person was on the street side walk and more than 100 feet away from the shop. By health standard , all employees must wash hands before returning to work and we make sure of that. Although the person smoking was not permitted by the owners, claiming to avoid food poisoning by that action is exaggerated . How is that possible from the side walk? You know that a lot of people smoke including food service people, nurses, doctors, lawyers and so on...and you can not define people as poisonous based on that. If that was the case , then you should shut down the smoking industry in all. If you are that sensitive to smokers, I suggest that you stay away from all places because people do not carry a : I am a smoker name tag . The point is that there are measures in place to make sure smokers do not smoke around food being served to public and that they wash hands and sanitize before handling foods. All people use the rest room including food service employees, that is the ultimate risk to health if there were no measures to make sure food service people wash their hands and properly. All in all , public health is protected by firm implementation of safety standards and not by making comments on yelp

I tried the caramel creme crunch, buttermilk bar, and blueberry fritter today. It was the best fritter I've ever had! It has a very strong, fresh blueberry taste. Also, I loved the texture of the buttermilk bar, it tasted almost like a biscuit. The caramel was topped with trusted coconut, which was a nice contrast to the creamy center.

Tried a couple of their donuts including glazed old fashioned, French crueller, donut holes, and a couple others. They were all good but nothing amazing that I would really go back for. French crueller was moist and not too sweet but a bit on the soggy side. My favorite item was a cherry buttermilk bar because it tasted like Maraschino cherry! I never had that combo in a donut. I'm guessing it's not for most people though since its a very strong artificial cherry flavor.

Okay, I said I'd give them 5 stars if they had "fancy" donuts. Well, as it turns out, I got there too early last time and they just weren't out yet. The buttermilk is the best buttermilk I've ever seen or heard of and they have a cherry variation that is also good, but almost a bit too sweet. Ill stick with the regular buttermilk. The co-workers caught on that I stop in for donuts for their birthdays, and seeing as how my 10 coworkers have now had 12 birthdays in 6 months, I'd say that they like the donuts too. The fancy fritters are frighteningly huge. I usually pass on them because I can't eat a sugar coated football by myself. The blueberry old-fashioned as taken the crown for my favorite donut of all donuts.

When we were in Portland last weekend we wanted donuts but didn't want to have to drive 20 minutes and wait in line for Voodoo Donuts so we figured we'd give a local place a shot. Sooooooo happy we did! They had a good variety of donuts! They didn't have any of the crazy combinations like Voodoo does, but that's okay. (Some of Voodoo's are just plain weird). Their donuts were fresh, delicious, and fairly inexpensive. My favorite part is that they didn't have a FLUFFY apple fritter - It was a thinner, crunchier kind, which happens to be just how I like them. :)

Outstanding donuts. Friendly people. Get there early, for some of the best donuts sell out fast! Best crullers and apple fritters on the planet.

A co-worker brought in an assortment of doughnuts today. I always have a hard time deciding between the raised chocolate or a maple bar---they have a 1/2 and 1/2 so I can have both and still only eat one doughnut. The frosting was excellent. I also tried a piece of a cream filled (for reviewing purposes only---of course) and it was delicious too. They have just the right amount of fat/sugar a person craves in a doughnut!

Fresh variety of donuts are baked daily with a great bakers. The shop is a family owned business, who works very hard to provide excellent job. Even their drink menu, is full of choices. Very friendly knowledgeable donut shop owners, adds to the fact their donut is the freshest and the tastiest in the area. My favorite is the french cruller, cinnamon twist and the buttermilk bar.

  • Jessica W.

Best donuts around! Just as good the next day...and not sickening sweet like some other donut places. The cost is low also. I've never eaten in the dining room area, I've always just bought donuts and left. It doesn't seem set up for people to sit and visit, that would be my only complaint.

An excellent Fathers Day stop at their new Tigard location. We got a toasted coconut cake style donut and a jelly filled donut. Both were excellent and exceeded expectations. We will be back for sure!!

Great donuts. I've been here a bunch of times. They've always been fresh and delicious. Bought a double chocolate, chocolate ring and chocolate bar for $3.75! Also very nice people. Stop in before the rush!

Everything is delicious. Better than voodoo imho. The Boston creme is pretty awesome as well as the 3 types of fritters.

I would like to note I've never been here and I never will. I was waiting at a light and I saw two employees waving signs. This, of course, is not the issue. The issue I had was they were wearing their aprons and one was smoking a cigarette. For me this is a clear issue of sanitization and I pretty sure L&I would have some issues with this. Being a chef in the restaurant industry for over 15 years this should be a scary sight for customers. It depicts the health and safety awareness and concern of the coworkers. Also as a owner, I wouldn't have allowed them to walk out the premise without instructing. I hope this is an isolated incident but I honestly wouldn't risk food poisoning to find out.

So...donuts are in a constant ramp of "Can we add bacon, can we put a burger in between two of them and sleep at night? Is Tropical Punch Kool-Aid a valid flavor? Cronuts?" "Yes," being the answer to these questions for some. Although, the kind folks at Donut Day are seemingly seldom troubled by such queries. They do, however, ask: "How can we make slightly larger to impressively-sized, freshly made quality fried pastries? Will we have accommodating service with a smile and full espresso? Could a family owned operation function well with low/higher volumes? Is the buttermilk and toasted coconut Goliath out of this world awesome?" Answer: "Totes Magoats, Brochacho!" Question:"Which day would we achieve the answers to these and many other super rad donut related puzzles? Which day indeed?" Answer: "Everyday...is Donut Day."

Seriously, I had no business walking in the door of this place. I live in the area, drive by a lot, and resisted....for years. Because I sure as hell don't need to be eating more fat and sugar. And then a sugar craving hit one fine morning and I stopped. Oh. DAMN. What have I done. The buttermilk donut is ridiculous. As are the apple fritters, the chocolate donut holes, the everything. Everything is SO good. It's just a little family spot that's friendly and comfortable. (The coffee's pretty good, but it's not called Coffee Day.) Oh and by the way, the other day I decided to stop for donut holes for the office. There were probably 10 or so chocolate donut holes left -- but rather than give them to me, the nice lady that I think is an owner said "oh just a minute," walked in the back, and gave me fresh ones that were still warm. A-maze-ing. Donut Day serves up donuts that are perfect, soft inside but slightly crisp inside, with exactly the right amount of icing. I haven't tried anything frosted there because it almost seems like it's spoiling a good thing. Just enjoy your donut as it is. Honestly, this should be the spot downtown with a line around the block but it's fine with me that it's tucked away in the suburbs.

Excellent product but they don't keep the posted store hours, I get off work at 4pm and got here multiple times around 4:15, they are almost never here, WTF? If they are not going to keep open till their posted hours of operations, why not change the hours? Very disappointing!

  • Caroline N.

I'd say this is one of the best (if not only) places to grab donuts in the area. Really, your other choices are limited to the nearby grocery stores and Krispy Kreme, but donuts from Donut Day can definitely hold their own regardless of the lack of competition! My go-to is the apple fritter ($1.75), and they have it down to a tee. It's huge with tons of apple bits, and they don't overdo the glaze. They have all the standard donut varieties, in addition to little flavor spins on those standards. The place is tucked away in the back corner of a tiny strip mall off of TV Highway. Look for 'Every Day is a Donut Day'! If you're coming from Hillsboro, it's easier to turn left on 185th and access the store through the back road, you'll have a tough time making a left turn on the busy highway.

  • Sergio C.

Phenomenal. Their fritters are crunchy on the outside like blue star and cake like in the center like a coco donut. Very inexpensive for the quality. The best and, in my opinion, only place for donuts in the area.

  • Chelsea M.

Best donuts. Handsdown. The double chocolate cake donuts (not sure what they actually call them here, but you get what I mean) are so heavenly. The apple fritters, tiger bars, glazed donuts are all absolutely delicious. What makes this place even better is the great service. Need 5 dozen donuts in 30 minutes? Sure! Regularly order from us and we'll make paying and ordering so easy you don't even really have to say much on the phone? Sure!

We have been frequenting Donut Day since 2002, or earlier. (Recall bringing their donuts to work and all the positive comments in 2002. So likely we "favorited" previously). The parents worked the shop then; their children do now. Steady quality, tasty, and friendly. My favorite they created for me and call by my name so I don't have to describe each visit. The "Susan"...chocolate frosted, yellow custard filled...with an injection of raspberry. Shh...delicious. I tip generously because this takes extra ingredients and time to "custom" do. These donuts are priced inexpensively yet are generous and constantly high quality. A favorite is the double chocolate. Everyone I introduce here returns for this and they usually keep this flavor well stocked. I like their scones as well. Their fillings are generous (photo on Yelp is typical, not unusual). They have tasty seasonal flavors, plenty of easy/free parking, fast service, no waiting line, lots of tables, and fast service. Their fritters come in multiple flavors (apple, blueberry, cherry). They cook their donuts to perfection (no overly crisp or greasy smelling/tasting product here). Sorry Blue Star and VDo this is still hands down our favorite. Relaxed atmosphere perfect for bringing grandchildren, friends, even a party...always lots of tables open. You can make this visit what you choose. Fitting that the donuts are glazed as is their concrete flooring.

Love their donuts. We always get the original twist and it's delicious. Made fresh at the store. The people that work there are very friendly. Definitely a loyal customer.

With one bite of these donuts, it can make your day! Donut Day is a mom-and-pop donut shop. Although I love sweets, donuts aren't on the top of my list; but I would enjoy one in a blue moon. I went to Donut Day since it was in the neighborhood and there were glowing reviews about the local establishment. I had to see what the other Yelpers were raving about! [decor] Located in a mini strip mall off of the busy TV Hwy, the place is small and tiny. A mom and pop shop. Clean. Your typical donut shop joint. There are a few tables and chairs inside if you want to hang out and dine in while reading the paper and sipping a cup of coffee. [devour] *APPLE FRITTER - was much better compared to the one I had at Joe's Donuts. It had the right amount of sweetness and wasn't uber sugary. The texture of the bread was very fluffy and is easily devourable. Milk may be needed afterwards for a sugar overload. *BLUEBERRY - I have a soft spot for blueberry flavored items. After the blueberry donut craze in SoCal, this is probably the closest to the M&M's in Anaheim! Worth checking out! FYI = -Ample parking lot -Accepts CC's -Awesome service -Coffee and tea also available -Other popular items: blueberry fritters, cake donuts and jelly filled -MADE FRESH DAILY I agree with the other Yelpers - you'll definitely get an AWESOME donut here! For the donut lovers out there, this place is WORTH checking out! Yelp 2013 100+ Reviews Challenge (going for 200!) - Review #193

Apple fritters! Jelly filled! And gasp, blueberry fritters!!! Heat for a sec, but really u don't have to do that even. Love is put in these donuts and in this little biz. You can tell the minute you step inside. My daughter and I came on Saturday morning. Busy? Yes! Does that deter us? No! When we want a donut...we want a donut. Or in our case, 13 donuts. I don't know how she (daughter of mine) forces me to get away with these shenanigans. I guess it wasn't that hard... I won't compare this donut shop with any others because its so not comparable. So boo to the others in the area (you know who they are). And we will be back to try out other delish donuts.

This is our absolute favorite donut spot! They offer decent coffee too. Prices are fair, and staff is nice.

Delicious fresh donuts! Even with all the variety they offer their buttermilk is definitely their best. Soo moist (I hate saying that word but it's the best way to describe it) and flavorful. My kids love their donut holes as well.

The other "to die for" menu item is their french cruller! Airy and sugary and so melt in your mouth delicious!!!

Mom and pop operation serving fresh donuts and baked goods. The apple fritter caught my eye and it did not disappoint! The size was appropriate (nearly eclipsed my face), frosting perfect (not too much or too little, just right down to the last bite), and chunks of apple adequate to remind you that you're eating something healthy (a redeeming fritter).

  • Amy L.

Their doughnuts are pretty good. Location isn't a pain to get to as long as you take the side street there instead of trying to turn on the highway. The people there are very friendly their doughnuts depending on what you order aren't too sweet or overly greasy. So far I've tried: Raspberry Fritter: Very delicious, normally I imagine a fritter to be a greasy, sugary mess. Their fritter is crispy, not too sweet and not drowned in a thick layer of icing. You can tell they use fresh fruit in it. I recommend trying this one Banana cream doughnut: No, filling was too sweet Place is very clean and has seating inside. I look forward to trying more.

Hands down the best place if your needing a donut fix. But I ask that you do not try the Raspberry fritters.... Never! I hate it when I stop in for one and they are out.

This place is the bomb! My husband and I saw the name and laughed a little at it but a few days later he surprised me with donuts from here and we are in love! First of all let me say that whoever created the tiger bar is my favorite person ever. I am not sure if it is an original here or what but I have never seen it before coming here and I get it every single time we come! I always have a hard time choosing chocolate ring or maple bar and now I can have a tiger bar and fulfill both cravings! I have had the chocolate ring and the maple bar alone as well and they are great but c'mon the tiger bar is where it is at. I am all about chocolate and maple donuts, as you can probably tell, but my husband likes all different kinds so he has tried many of the fritters and special donuts and he has enjoyed every one of them. I am not that adventurous but if fruit donuts are your thing, come here! Seriously try their donuts no matter what your taste, the dough is fried to perfection and has a nice crisp crust and inside is soft and flaky every single time. We love this place and can't wait to keep coming here for years to come!

Clean, friendly, 5 different samples out! The usual donuts but done well with quality ingredients, plus some unusual donuts like lemon old fashioned bars, piña colada (pineapple filling with coconut cream frosting), and blueberry old fashioned. A must try place!!!!!

These donuts are like crack!!!! They are made very well. I must have ate 6 in a row and wanted to finish off the other 6. Amazing cake donuts! They just melt in your mouth. Grab a glass of coffee or milk and sit down with a box. LOL

Decided to pick up some donuts for my boyfriend's birthday this week and we have driven past this place many times so I thought it would be cool to try. The store is very open and has some tables inside. The man and woman working were both very nice. There are a lot of options of different flavors of donuts, which is very cool because there is so much to try. I got 2 glazed donuts, 1 chocolate glazed, 1 boston creme, 1 strawberry jelly, and 1 apple crumb. Every single one was completely delicious, nothing at all to complain about. I will definitely go back here.

These are the best doughnuts in the Beaverton area. Their regular doughnuts are top notch and their specials, while pricier, are worth it for the inventiveness and taste. Very friendly staff and there's always parking, even though the lot is a little cramped.

Chelsea, Genna, and Carly are spot on with their revues I think. I have been searching for a while for donuts near enough to work for when it is "my turn" to grace the office with fine confectionary - and sorry but Krispy Kreme and the like leave me wanting. Plus, just try to find the godfather of all donuts; the buttermilk bar, in there! Go on. I will wait. In case it's not obvious buttermilk bars are my favorite, followed almost immeasurably close by the godmother of donuts, yes, the maple bar. But wait! Chocolate bar you say? Neigh, the best of all chimeric creations, let them introduce you to the zebra bar! Omg good. These folks have hit the perfect balance of donut and frosting. The buttermilk bar is not too dense, but not too airy either. The maple and chocolate glaze on the bars is perfect. And the old fashioned are the bomb. Perfect amount of snap as you break through the glaze followed by melt in your mouth goodness. This might be deemed heresy - and don't get me wrong, I like them too, but these are not your giant size voodoo dough bombs. They are just damn good donuts, period.

I'm not a huge donut fan, but Donut Day donuts are amazing. They are the new high mark to beat. You can't just have one. Their fritters are the best I have ever had. Can't wait to go back and get some more.

Donut Day is GOOD. Really, really good. And I've never actually visited the store! It's on my co-worker's drive to work, and she'll bring a box of donuts in at least once per week - those are the happy days. What I love most is that their donuts aren't greasy or too heavy, and they even taste fantastic the next day (yes, I'll raid the box the next day if there are leftovers! I ain't got no shame!). A few weeks ago, I was determined to just say no to having any donuts. I had just clocked out for lunch, when I caught a glimpse of what I believed to be an apple fritter - om nom nom. I broke off a small piece - didn't want to ruin my lunch! - and took a bite. Holy mother of fried goods - it wasn't an apple fritter. It was a raspberry fritter! OH MY GOD! I ended up eating the whole thing. It was ahhh-mazing. Everything I've had from there is fab. I've got to get my butt down to the actual location and take it all in for myself. In the meantime, I'll keep looking forward to the days that my favorite co-worker walks in with the magic donut box.

Donut Day is great! I may have to write a secondary review when I go back but all I can say is that the donut flavors are plentiful, they are fresh, and they taste extra delicious! I came here almost upon closing hours. My thought? Come here in the morning obviously to get hot, fresh, donuts where the options are prevelent. I can tell they do not cook anything past a certain hour. Which is good. There were only a few options left for me to choose from. I chose glazed donut holes with sprinkles. The lady gave me 12 for a dollar instead of the typical 6 for $1 since they were about to close. Woo hoo! They still tasted amazingly fresh, and still good the next day!

I had been craving a really good apple fritter and remembered hearing about this place. Since I was nearby today, I stopped in. No more craving! Now I know that when I want a great fritter, I need to go to Donut Day! Perfect balance of crispy exterior and moist interior. Covered in just the right amount of glaze and doesn't leave a greasy coating in your mouth. Delicious!

I am terrible at reviewing donut places. Its like....all donuts are good, right? I like the people in this establishment, and I like the donuts. Furthermore my husband says they are the best in the area. The atmosphere and people who are run it are what I want in a donut place. A mom and pop type place! This is *Not* a chain store, this is not an over the top place that leave you with a sugar high. (I do not care for Krispy Kreme, if that helps.)

  • Laura C.

This place is amazing!! I came in this morning to get 3 dozen donuts, and when the owner realized I was on my bicycle, he offered to drive them to my work! I went to the wrong entrance, but he still managed to find me, 3 boxes in hand. This is the best customer service I have ever experienced from any store. Beyond that, the donuts were delicious! Definitely helped me score some extra points with my new coworkers. I will be sure to come back. You guys are fantastic!

Donut Day rocks!! In the 8 years I've been coming here, I've never had a bad donut or a bad experience. The owners are real nice and they make the most delicious donuts. You can't go wrong here, but my personal favorites are the Bavarian Creme and the buttermilk bar. My kids love the sprinkle, raspberry filled, and the donut holes. The chocolate cake donut hole is the favorite of my coworkers. Give this place a try if you haven't - you will not be disappointed!

It's unfortunate that this place is so disgusting. Keep eating your dirty, moldy, fat donuts here. They have almost failed inspection at least 3 times. No bueno.

Although Donut Day is far from the city, it is well worth a lazy sunday's trip. There is no donut in Portland thus far that compares to the buttermilk bar at Donut Day. It is the perfect buttery, sugary, cakey, combination that tastes very, very fresh. Sure you can get donuts as Sesame Donuts, or Voodoo, but they will always be subpar compared to Donut Day. If you are not a buttermilk bar fan, go with the blueberry old fashioned, it will come in as a close second to the buttermilk bar and will remain far above most others in PDX. This is a classic, well done donut shop with great variety. You can't go wrong.

A friend recently told me about this place, and I had to try it. I'm a sucker for a good donut, heck, it can be from the grocery store for all I care. I normally get a half dozen, since my boyfriend and I can't eat just one at a time. Every single donut I've had from them is delicious. The prices are great and the people are friendly. The only problem I can see is I usually get there right after work(graveyard, so its right when they open at 6) and they aren't done making all the donuts yet so some may take a couple extra minutes if you're eager for a certain kind. I normally just pick from what they have and haven't been disappointed. I'll be coming back here at least once a week.

Great fresh donuts, friendly people, what's not to love? If only donuts were an advisable diet, this would be more than the very rare treat that it is. Love this place.

I don't like cake donuts, but I love the glazed chocolate cake donut from Donut Day. I can't explain it! They've got a lot of your basic favorites that all taste delicious; I need to try some of their specials! Great service from super friendly people. I'm going to get so fat...

My husband goes here every Wednesday to get donuts for his office. Not only does he really like the donuts but he can't say enough about the owner and how dedicated he is to be there at 2 am so we can have these yummy treats on our way to work. Definitely great tasting and worth the patronage.

I am an east coast girl. And we east coast girls (and guys) know there is no better donut shop than Dunkin Donuts. Period. But sadly, Oregon has ignored this franchise while catering to the ever so greasy Crispy Creme. But there is a silver lining! It's Donut Day!!! Woohoo! Every day should be a donut day when they are this good! Forget Voodoo! These donuts may not be shaped into nasty human body parts, and frankly they don't need to be. When donuts taste this good you don't need gimmicky names and shapes to get people to buy them. Best donuts in the Portland metro area! We will gladly drive out of our way to eat these sinful treats! They just need to get a web site! Every good business these days needs one.

If you like a good donut then you need to support this place. They show every sign of a donut shop that cares. The staff is serious, the donuts are fresh, their restaurant is clean and interestingly decorated. All of the standards are here: the blueberry fritter, the roasted coconut and other important flavors. My favorite is actually the vanilla-frosting stuffed ones. Don't believe the hype of Voodoo donuts, this little shop has the chops to set the tone of donuts in Oregon.

Well kept shop. Staff was very friendly and gave my son donut holes on the house. Tips on warming the donuts were given. Donuts are great and the feeling of this business is too. I will be back for sure!

I was up in Oregon visiting and stopped by with my sister. This is - by far - the best donut store in the world! My personal favorite was the apple filled crumb donut, but there were so many other great donuts and great friendly service! If they're out of your favorite, they'll stop and make one for you.

I have never liked a donut as much as the donuts from Donut Day. The owner is really cool and always very nice. One day I was in getting an apple fritter (the best apple fritters in town) and he said, "Just one minute" and went in the back and brought me a hot fresh mini apple fritter that he was making for a church for the next day. He just gave it to me. If you've never had a hot apple fritter, you are really missing out. But, that's not even the best part about this place. All of the donuts are great! I'm not sure what he does, but they're always crisp on the outside and moist and delicious on the inside. There's a wide variety, including some over large specialty donuts like the "volcano". Donut Day definitely outshines Krispy Kreme, Voodoo Donuts and Sesame Donuts. I know it's a trek for PDXers (T.V. highway just east of SW 185th), but one you should definitely make.

My favorite donuts. Of all time. Delicious. I'm grateful I no longer drive by this place on the way to work. Otherwise I'm sure I'd have an extra 300 pounds or so to lose.

Great donuts. I have had 7 different kinds over the last month (this has become a regular weekly stop) and loved all of them. Luckily the donuts are so good, as the staff have no customer service skills. I always feel like they are put out to have to help me. Since this is not a 'sit-and-eat' kind of place, this isn't super important, but the staff could make the place a real top location of they got their act together.

I didn't fall in love with the doughnuts on the first round. I brought some into the office and everyone enjoyed them. I had better ones in the past. I did give them another try since they are the closest doughnut place to me. Not bad. I think it was on the third try that I decided that these are pretty good doughnuts. Good thing I was willing to give them a second and third chance....ok it wasn't that hard to do... Their doughnuts are fresh and aren't heavy and greasy feeling. I will be back.

1st time here in awhile and the donuts were really good. I am not a fan of Krispy Kreme and my wife spoils me when we are down in the LA and we get Prontos Donuts which to me are #1. So when I can't have Prontos, my next spot will always be Donut Day.

I really wanted a maple old fashioned and they were out. The kind lady said she would normally just take a plain old fashioned and hand dip it in maple but they only had glazed old fashioned left. She offered to dip a glazed in maple and without hesitation I accepted her challenge. Twice. It was sweetness overload, but my, oh, my it was worth it. These are really nice people that make excellent, fresh, and super sweet doughnuts. Definitely at the top of my Doughnut Quest list.

Donut day has the best American donuts! (I make that distinction because even though andagi and malasadas are in a whole different class, I don't want there to be any confusion.) I really miss going there on a regular basis. When my husband and I were walking regularly (We were training for a marathon that we never entered.) we would often stop by at the end of our work out (Maybe that's why we never made it through marathon training!) to get a nice treat. The donuts here are always fresh, never oily, with just the right amount of sugar/glaze/frosting. The toppings never overpower the delightful cake or yeast donuts themselves. The service is always above average. They always have a friendly, welcoming greeting and are so patient while my indecisiveness causes a long delay in ordering. (If you're behind me, I promise to step aside and let you go first.) Donut Day is a truly charming neighborhood shop (that I must visit on my way home tonight) that crafts non-mass-produced yummy donuts that should be celebrated!

No other Donut shop compares to this place. I've brought Donuts to work meetings, parties, and service projects and everyone always asks "where did you get these Donuts?" The location is its biggest downfall but the Donuts are the best period. If you like quality baked goods then I strongly suggest this location. You will be thrilled.

I've given this doughnut shop a couple of shots. It's pretty consistent on the quality of doughnuts. Great selection of doughnuts that are freshly made there. I'd put it as my number 2 doughnut place in the area. It is much better than Voodoo Doughnuts by miles. Of course it isn't as funky as Voodoo nor have the attitude, but the doughnuts are better, which is what a person is after. Of course it doesn't have the specialty doughnuts as Voodoo but for traditional doughnuts this place is better. Don't simply trust the reviews go and try it yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Good homemade donuts and friendly service. They have an ok selection of standards and specialties. My two-year-old wanted a "Tiger Bar" for lunch, but sadly for her she already finished it off for breakfast.

My family has been going to Donut Day for years after stumbling upon it in search of a good donut place and we have not been disappointed. We often have family gatherings and a popular request is a dozen or 2 dozen of these delicious donuts. Favorites are the double chocolate, tiger bars and the cinnamon twists. The owner is a super nice guy, definitely the place to go if your looking for some great donuts!

    (5)
  • Joseph H.

Don't bother reading the reviews, just eat some donuts already. If you're in the area this is going to be your best option and you're in luck, the donuts are gooood! The "Tiger" bars that are half maple and chocolate frosting atop some of the fluffiest dough I've ever had in a donut. My wife got a creme filled fresh out of the oven chocolate thing and I couldn't talk to her until she was finished ooohing and awwwwing with the thing. Four stars because of the minimalist presentation, it's not the cleanest place, and the coffee is so-so. The donuts though, go-go.

A guy I work with brought some of these to work to share. I don't think I like this guy anymore. I'm gonna get fat. These are by far the best donuts I've ever had in my life. I had one that was like a powdered sugar donut but with a darker powder and one that had chocolate mouse in it. These are just indescribably delicious.

I too enjoy Donut Day, and every person that I know has also loved their donuts. Great, friendly service and Delicious Apple Fritters. I have never received a bad donut here.

Sorry to say this place didn't live up to this donut lover's standards. The donuts lacked the super-sweet taste they're supposed to have, the texture seemed off, and the lady at the counter wasn't too friendly. My donut cravings will be fulfilled elsewhere in the future...

I had to go in just to check it out myself. I ordered a Bear Claw and an Apple Fritter. Both were quite good. Both were immense in size and flavor. They both were missing that nasty, greasy taste that you sometimes get after munching on fried dough. Both were very true to their desired textures, appearance, deliciousness.

These donuts (doughnuts) are excellent. The oil is not bad, like in some places that don't change it often enough. There is NO ACRID OIL SMELL in the entire place. It smells like heaven inside, and it is clean clean clean - Faad is a wonderful host and is very proud of his donuts, for good reason. The crullers are superb - airy, light, eggy and perfectly cooked. NOT GREASY - just perfectly airy and slightly crisp with a good bit of frost on the outside. The bear claw was chock full of good chunky apples, not too sweet, and the donut was puffy and light but had a good amount of sugar crust. The only reason I give the place 4 instead of 5 stars is the apple fritter - it was cooked too long and tasted bitter, as though burned. I think it was a fluke and i will test again as soon as we get through 18 donuts (well, 6 are already gone). Highly recommend, BETTER THAN KRISPY KREME in my humble opinion, our usual standby.
