I admit that I've always sort of turned my nose up at the thought of "Mongolian Grill" in the states. I had to ask myself why, and I guess it had something to do with the fact that there are very few Mongolian restaurants outside of the typical mall food court vendor. Thus I started to associate Mongolian grill with mall food... After eating at Chang's, I can now give Mongolian grill two thumbs up. Or at least this particular restaurant. You get to build your own meal and choose all the ingredients and seasonings/sauces.The meat selection is very good and fresh. I loved that they had tons of chopped jalapeños and whole dried red chilies. Plenty of cilantro and julienned green onions was also a plus. The vegetable selection is quite good; I just wish they had a few more Asian veggies (: All in all, I was extremely impressed by how delicious my meal tasted. The lunch price of $8.95 for AYCE also includes hot and sour or egg drop soup, rice paper I believe, and vanilla ice cream for dessert. Does it get any better than this?! This is the first and only super reasonably priced restaurant I've been to since moving to Portland and I will definitely be back. Service is also great!

Very clean and an authentic Mongolian grill. Good selection of thinly sliced meats and plenty of veggies. The sauces could improve though by including more variety prior to the grill. For example, teriyaki is available "after" grilling when it would be nice to have it grilled with it. Another suggestion would be more choice of fresh noodles. There were two rather limp looking bowls of cooked egg noodles with one being spinach flavor. Perhaps a rice noodle could be included. We will be back for sure, but I prefer Charlie Chows in Salt Lake.

The best Changs location that I have been too, bigger and hence less crowded, cleaner and I love the Mongolian artwork and overall themed style of the place. If they had organic veg and pasture meat I'd be a their spokesmodel. But short of that it's pretty damn good here. Lots of choices for your meat and veg and plenty of carb if you need it, but I prefer to get about 5 plates of mostly vegetable and a little bit of meat. It's easy to get your flavor customized with the array of sauce options plus ginger, garlic, sesame oil etc. at the end of the line. My only complaint would be that sometimes when it's slow they just have one very uninspired cook at the grill and it makes the process take a long time, short of that the service is great and overall I'm a fan.

Place is good, but just a heads up to the girls. That small Asian cook is a pervert and keeps hitting on Women.

This is a fun place to go, especially for if you are out with friends or family who don't live near a place like this. I'm a big fan of Mongolian grills, and I wouldn't say this one is the best but there's definitely nothing wrong with it. If you have a problem with the food, guess what, that's your fault. The guys who are working the grill are really good at their job, and the ingredients are pretty fresh. If your food doesn't taste good then you didn't add the right things to your bowl. I didn't really nail it until around my third visit. And hey, if you did it wrong just forget that plate and do it again! You can have as many servings as you like. And then there is ice cream afterwards. And it's actually pretty good ice cream.

Absolutely now one of my favorite restaurants. I have been a fan of Mongolian BBQ for years and now this one is now so close it rocks. Location is clean and new, the service as far as I'm concerned is awesome even tho its a self serve and they just cook it. Love this place.

Absolutely the WORST Asian buffet. Long line. VERY, VERY BELOW average food. The owners really cut their corners here. One cooking station with one Hispanic cook? Even though I've thought about having seconds, I looked at the line ... 30+ people and 1 cook. Forget it. The ONLY reason we came here was because it was late and my mom wanted Asian food after shopping at H Mart. Yelp should offer zero stars for very subpar business.

Normal Changs being it's new it is nice and clean. Cooks seem to be extra careful to cook your plate correctly. Wrappers are always dry and brittle. Overall a good place to eat healthy.

By far some of the greatest Mongolian food I've had. They seated us right away. The prices are really good. Overall I really enjoy this place. Actually having dinner there tonight.

This location just opened up a few months back and its pretty clean. I've been to the other beaverton location a few times and this location off Beaverton/Hillsdale beats it by a mile. if you never been to here (or to any mongolian grill) you might be a little confused as what to do. Pretty much what you do after you are seated by the wait staff is walk up to the buffet table pick up a bowl. All the food is raw. You walk down the asile and choose your meats and veggies and any sauce you'd like. They have a chart for those who need help at getting just the right amount of sauce. Once you are done, you take it to the counter where they will cook it right in front of you. Few minutes later your food is done, the cook will place the food on a plate and you can go back to your table. You may see others grabbing three or four bowls, sometimes an arm full of food but theres no need. Really one bowl would do just fine. Why cause a potential drop and make everyone else wait since your food is taking up the entire grill? You can go back as many times as you like! I do though recommend if you get meat to get a lot of it as the meat will shrink when cooking. Maybe one bowl for meat and the other for veggies/sauce but thats anymore is not needed. along with your mongolian food, you do get a side of white rice and a choice of hot and sour or egg flower soup. free of charge and for desert they give you ice cream, free of charge as well. Dinner prices are a bit expensive at $13.95 while lunch prices are more reasonable at $8.95 I do recommend this place as everyone gets what they want, and not stuck with what the cook whats you to have.

Love this place! Never unhappy! food is best when the owner is cooking. Sometime when the other staff cook, the food is a little over done. :( Other than that, a favorite for me & my daughter.
