Diabetics at Whataburger

Diabetics need to be a bit cautious while dining at Whataburger. Almost every burger is rich in sodium content and it is highly recommended to keep your burger cravings in control while dining at Whataburger. However, you can always satisfy your cravings for a burger by choosing Whataburger Jr. or other non-burger items from the menu.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for Diabetics:

A diabetic should resist from ordering any extra meat-based burger such as Double Meat Whataburger or Triple Meat Whataburger to limit the sodium intake and calories. Most burgers except the Whataburger Jr. are high in sodium and hence should be avoided.

If you are a diabetic, you should also avoid Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich and Whataburger Patty Melt at Whataburger. Chicken Fajita Taco is also off-limits for diabetics. You must also avoid Breakfast Platter and Pancake Platter from the menu. Pancakes and Cinnamon Roll from the breakfast menu are also off-limits for diabetics.

High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. You should also avoid Avocado Bacon Burger and Monterey Melt as both these burgers contain a high amount of fat. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

So far my experience with Burgerville as a company is good. This particular location, though, was not good. First, it is kind of set in a narrow strip of space between two roads. So you'll have cars coming at you, from both sides, within a moment's notice. It was a little alarming. It is a small location, extremely. There is diner-style booths inside. However, they were not fat enough for me. Which means we ended up eating the car. Which irritates me to no end. Third, the quality of the food just wasn't as on par as the rest of the locations I've been too. My salad had some wilted shit in it. The burger had way too much of the condiments on it. For the price, this location just failed. The service was nice though, and fast.

For a fast food burger joint I really don't think it's possible to beat Burgerville. Inside is like any other fast food place, laminate table tops with those weird cramped booths and hard plastic chairs and cardboard-ish napkins. But I don't go to Burgerville for the decor, I go for the good "fast" food. While it is a bit spendier than an average fast food place, I'm willing to pay it for the fresher, as-local-as-possible ingredients and an all together way above average taste. Fortunately Oregon is a more socially conscious green society but because of that I think we often take for granted what we have available to us. Which I was instantly reminded of when I took several friends from AZ here and watched as they freaked out over how good and how "local" a burger place could actually be. To me, Burgerville, as a fast food joint is truly as good as it gets.

I walked over to this Burgerville location during my lunch break. I ordered the Full Sail Ale Battered Albacore. Two pieces of fried fish. It came with Summer Slaw on the side. The fish pieces looked cookie cutter processed. Weird. They seemed positively McNugget-like. I could definitely taste the grease the fish had been fried in, and the batter tasted... chalky. I liked the slaw much better than the albacore. What bugged me the most was the price. Almost ten bucks for the two rather thin, diminutive pieces of fish and half a cup of slaw. You can get a man-sized serving of real fish and chips at just about any pub in Portland for about the same price.

Good stuff as always. Great local product that is head and shoulders above the fast food chains.

  • Brian W.

Decent burgers. Not as fresh as In-n-Out and not as meaty as Five Guys, but very decent. Offering side salads was nice. Sweet potato fries were kind of soggy and the berry smoothies, while not bad in the first 10 minutes, got progressively more chalky and disgusting as time went on.

  • Ryan Y.

Small and slower service than other locations. But, their raspberry lemonades are so good. They use fresh seasonal berries. Blackberries are next. Burgers are average....a notch better than BK and McDonalds. Still like Five Guys or Red Robin better.

  • Nicole K.

$27.00 for 2 smallish cheeseburgers, with onion rings and shakes? The quality should have been FAR BETTER than what it was for that price. It's a very small step up from what you would get and expect from Burger King, except 3 times as expensive. The seasonal raspberry shake was the best part of the order, and even that wasn't exceptional. Oh, and for the reviewers comparing this place to In-N-Out.... you've got to be kidding me. It's not even close, and I'm not the biggest fan of their burgers, either. But, In-N-Out runs circles around this joint. I won't be back, cheap fast food quality at high prices.

Cashier lady had a great attitude and service ! Also she let us know about the sundae $1 deal instead of the $1.45 cones. Someone needs to give her a raise for great customer service!!!

Location is in an old building. Ceilings are moldy and dusty. I ordered a burger and there was something on the bun that did not look right, it wasn't hamburger. It was a piece of something. I dunno. I should of asked about it but I was too grossed out. I threw it out. My daughter had chicken tenders and it was slimy dark meat. I threw it all away. May be it was just a bad day for me but it was not right.

Pricey if you are comparing to other fast food, but for the quality you can't complain! Delicious!

Worst service ever. I ordered only one simple chicken sandwich and people who ordered after me got theirs first. Food was bland and cold as well. Never again!

I asked to use the restroom after ordering and they told me it was closed. What food place won't let it's customers go to the bathroom? Also, "Santa Pat", made it clear that they were closing in 15 minutes and that they wanted me out quickly even before they gave me my food. The customer service left a lot to be desired.

If this branch of Burgerville seems different its because this is one of the older stores. This location opened in 1969 just eight years after the original location on Mill Plain in Vancouver. This location is different than the ones that followed. It has a small seating area and no Drive-thru. Still the food is the same here. Like all Burgervilles they like to locally source when they can which leads to lots of seasonal specials like Walla Walla Onion rings and Strawberry Shortcake (which is good, great when they berries are freshest). For the regular menu I like to get the double cheeseburger combo. The burgers all come with their signature sauce. The fries could use some work though ( if the rosemary fries are in season get them instead, much better). I am also a fan of the chicken strips basket. The best thing they make all year is the Chocolate Hazelnut shake usually around the first of the year. It is great and I always look forward to it, The fresh strawberry shakes are really good also. The worst thing I have had there is the Pumpkin shake, I really I had high hopes but there was so much spice I couldn't taste the pumpkin, I last had it a couple of years ago and still remember it, it was that bad. You are warned! I would be tempted to give it a fifth star but the prices seem a bit high, Though I apriciate that they treat their staff well ( I had an acquaintance who worked here, she got health insurance way before it was the law.) If you haven't been to Burgerville you really should. It is a locally owned chain with history in the area. This branch is one of my favorites as it feels old school and the staff are always friendly here.

I haven't been here in years. Mostly because they are about 5 miles from me and if I wanted a great burger, 5 Guys is 3 miles from me. So I'm at Trader Joe's accross the street and it's 9pm and it's still 85 degrees outside. What the hell, I'll grab one of their seasonal milkshakes. The place was, I'd say, moderately busy at best and there was about 1 person behind the counter for every person in the dining room. There didn't appear to be a method to the madness. Just kids wandering around back there. One kid walked from behind the counter to address who I assume is his girlfreind in the front where people are ordering, or at least I hope teenagers haven't devolved to the point where they just see eachother and proceed to make out. But this is going on while other people are waiting on their food. So I order and expect my shake to be made in, oh, about 8 seconds. Or at least that's what I'm used to at Dairy Queen. Whatever, people watching. With pretty much every order that comes up that they bring out to the diners, they bring to the wrong area of the restaraunt, then walk to the far other side after asking 3 other people if they ordered what they are carrying. My order was no different. The whole time I'm thinking of the whole $15 an hour thing... Sorry, but 3/4 of you are losing your jobs. There's already too many of ya'll back there and your efficiency is that of a three legged turtle. With all the conversation and the passing dances that people are doing with eachother, half as many people could be just as productive. I ordered a big shake to take home and share with the wife. The locally sourced fresh blackberry milkshake is fantastic. I kind of imagine that crack cocane feels how this tastes. I'd also imagine the comedown being the same, with symptoms like headache, dissiness, nausea, irratable mood, upset stomach, diahrrea, etc. I took a guess at 45 grams of sugar and 15 grams of fat. Boy howdy was I wrong! The big size has a whopping 161 grams of sugar and 62 grams of fat. Am I wrong in that it kinda feels like you're cheating at a delicious product when that much fat and sugar would make cement mix taste just as good? Came home and the wife's asleep so I finished the whole thing. Now I kinda feel like I need a nap, an asprin and a shot of insulin. Think I'll leave a note in the tips section. Don't try the big one alone unless you're trying out to take over Man Vs. Food.

I have yet to have them get an order right. Today I got home with no fries. First thing on the receipt is fries. The food is good though, since it's Burgerville. Otherwise I would give one star.

Poor customer service (sometimes). I almost feel uncomfortable. You can hate your job and at least TRY to muster a smile. After leaving though, I saw their marquee saying they're hiring customer service oriented people. Makes sense.

Oh how I love burgerville but not this location at all. After having a busy day at work I said what else stop at burgerville for a juicy burger right? Well I was so wrong the burger only had cheese and the patty and it looked like it was a joke! The fries were dry looked like there were a day old and cold! And well I ended up throwing all my food away and having to cook anyways. I won't ever be stopping here again and it's so dirty for being a burgerville.

Three strikes - you are out. I've taken friends to other locations where the staff were so pleasant and helpful. The menu items looked interesting, especially the seasonal fires. So I thought if I ever get a craving for this kind of food I would check it out. I gave them a shot, actually, I gave them 3 - in case it was just bad staff or an off day. Every time I had to wait an inordinate amount of time for my order while people who came long after me were served first. I did not come in when they were slammed, I ordered directly off the menu with no modifications, and no one said any of my items needed more time. I wondered if they had lost my order. ALL 3 TIMES. The food was bland and overpriced. Seriously over $5 for a bad bean burger on a cheap white bun with a little mayo? $4.99 for a tiny piece of fish thrown on a cheap white bun with a lettuce leaf and smidge of tartar sauce? The food is supposed to cost more because it is local but the quality is so low they cannot really justify the prices. The Red Robin directly across the street is quicker, has better customer service, and for what I ordered it is actually cheaper. What's really sad is that in the fight to get fast food workers a liveable wage, this place represents all the reasons I keep hearing about why they don't deserve it.

  • Kara E.

I honestly don't get the hype around this place. I ordered the deluxe chicken sandwhich and it was so terrible that I only took a couple of bites and then just couldn't finish it. The chicken was greasy, lettuce oversized, bacon was a joke (2 mini pieces about an inch long) and it was smothered in cold bbq sauce that was just way too much for the sandwich. I don't mind a messy meal, but it tasted like I was just eating straight bbq sauce. My boyfriend got the pepper bacon burger and it was pretty mediocre also. The fries were decent but nothing special. The ice cream and shake options looked good but it won't be enough to bring us back again.

It has been several months since I have been to this particular location. My experiences have always been pleasant. The service is good. The order comes out right. The food is delicious. This particular location is right on the busy Canyon Road and is a rectangular building with no drive thru. It is dine in or order to take out. You have to ask the one of the Burgerville employees for the bathroom key because its outside. Last night we stopped here for a late dinner on the way into Portland. It was probably the best experience that we've had at any of the Burgervilles in and around town. Everyone was nice and friendly from start to finish. Our fries were fresh and hot. There was an extra cheeseburger for free because they made one too many. Sweet. They even apologized for making us wait but I didn't think there was anything usually long about the wait time. It was still appreciated. All in all, I love Burgervile. The food is always good. I really like the fries here.

I have to say most, if not all Burgerville's taste about the same. I had just fasted for about 15 hours and had an Endoscopy done when my mom drove by this location and I yelled in the car "TURN IN THAT PARKING LOT!". Needless to say, I was jonesing for a cheeseburger, bad! So this was my mom's first Burgerville experience. It was on the way home to my apartment so we grabbed the food to-go, this location is not a very eat-in friendly type. My cheeseburger was so good, I don't know if it was because I was starved or what, but I scarfed that thing down. The fries were totally cold by the time we got to my place, its ok though....actually, now that I think about it, its not ok because that shit was expensive! I still love me some Burgerville though. I cant really hate. There was no line, the service was fast and our burgers were good.

This is an adequate burger place. I had the Tillamook cheeseburger and added onions. A little heavy on the mayo but compared favorably with a whopper--not really better. The fries were crummy, to use a technical term. Limp and thin and fairly tasteless. Strawberry shake was good.

  • Faye F.

I just can't find decent burgers in Oregon. Sorry if this makes me a snob (I've tasted GREAT burgers, ok?!), but OR just don't have good burger and sushi places. The fries here are way too greasy and soggy. The burger meat is flavored nicely but the whole thing is just too greasy! Parking spaces for this location is ridiculous too.

love the fact that they are opened late..... I dont eat here often......but I have never been disappointed. I have tried many things and never is disappointed. The staff is always great with me and they look as though they enjoy their jobs. The shakes are crack and I only ever order a small like once a year due to the calorie content of even the small.... but well worth it. I like the fact that they print up the nutrition for you on your receipts so you know what you are eating. It is more expensive than lets say Burger king or McDonald's.....however the quality is much much better. their special sauce is thousand island made with mustard instead of ketchup and their bbq chicken burger thing is crack..... I do miss the marketing slogan of inconveniently located for most of America. The only thing I can say I dont like is the lack of drivethru however this is a small building without a way to have it should they decide to instal one. So I dont mind stepping out of my car to get a quick bite.

"Fresh. Local. Sustainable." What more can I say than that?? The native southern Californian in me won't go so far as to proclaim that Burgerville is better than In-N-Out (I just can't do it), BUT, it's PRETTY DAMN CLOSE. Like really close. Like Plan B "oops that was a close one" kinda close. This place has delicious food, and if you're ever in Oregon, you absolutely must try it. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. I think I've found my Portland fast food addiction and the nemesis to my beach bod. Now I'll need to find a gym membership pronto... When we first walked in it reminded me of the old Foster's Freeze burger joints that were probably built in the 60's - I dig it. The cashier promptly greeted us as I tried to peruse the menu quickly. I went for the Tillamook Cheeseburger and split some fries with my dad. I also ordered a strawberry shake that could have been much better had they used real strawberries. I don't do that Nesquik crap. The burger itself was amazing though. All of their food comes from local vendors and is a lot healthier than any of the foolishness you'll find on a nasty McWhatever menu. You can certainly taste the difference in their "pastured vegetarian-fed and antibiotic-free beef." It was juicy, the toppings were so fresh, and their spread set the burger off nicely. I don't even like spread, but I ate the hell out of theirs. The fries were good too - even the water was tasty. Other than the milkshake I really have no complaints. Major, major props. This particular location had excellent service and is really close to my house, so I'll likely be frequenting it whenever I need a meaty quick-fix.

This Burgerville is a bit more unique than the others in the area, i.e. it still has the older style diner feel. No drive thru for you! My beef (see what I did there!!!) with Burgerville has always been the price. Yes, local & sustainable is good but I always walk away thinking for what I spent, I'm not super satisifed. The seasonal selections are usually pretty good - I loved the portabello mushroom burger & the portabello wedges. NOM. I love the rosemary shoestring fries & the walla walla onion rings. But extra $$ to upgrade my basket where I've already paid about $2+ dollars for? Lamers. This last visit left me very irritated. I tried their Rosemary Chicken sandwhich. The menu picture made it seem it was about the size of the surrounding burgers. What did I get? A small, smooshed & pathetically sized sandwhich that was more than my boy's burger and half the size. ARE WE KIDDING ME? Considering how much more my meal cost than his, not amused. So my internal dialouge about Burgerville is usually - well, they have the shoestrings but do I want to spend $10? No. Let's reign in those prices guys.

When i moved here from Cali, I was a little sad to give up In-N-Out. Then I tried Burgerville, and fell in love. When I need a burger, I come here and get the Tillamook cheeseburger in a basket. Occasionally, I also get a milkshake. BTW, you need to try the pumpkin milkshake before it's out of season- pie in a cup! The food is always really fresh, and the service is good. The employees always seem to happy to be there. And now I want a burger.

Burgerville was disappointing recently. Having grown up in the area, if there's one of a few things that could be counted on, it was Burgerville's cheeseburgers being minimalistic, hot and prepared consistently the same way. I stick with the simple stuff at B'ville - the cheeseburgers. That's it. No Colossal, no fries, no fish n' chips - just cheeseburgers. Every other month or so I need to satisfy that Burgerville "fix" that creeps up. Well, I was disappointed this week. Grabbed 2 cheeseburgers on the go while driving around town. They were... warm instead of hot. There was plenty of spread and ketchup, but the bun had this... plasticy/doughy texture and taste. It was not appetizing. I like what Burgerville does to support local, sustainable businesses. I think they have a business model that other companies should emulate more often. I will *always* pull for the local guys. But, I'm not afraid to call 'em as I see 'em. Not good this time Burgerville. Not good.

Worst - burger - place - Ever!! We ordered one bacon burger, one small fry and two small shakes. The bacon was vastly undercooked, the burger greasy, and fries soggy. We left most of the fries and burger. The shakes were good. At $17+. They should not be rated as only one "$". Avoid this place and go across the street to Red Robin. For the same price the food is much better, nicer atmosphere and your food is delivered.

Very friendly staff. The other night I actually saw one of the employees (might have been a manager) spend close to 10 minutes helping an older disabled woman complete her order, as she was having trouble reading the menu and understanding the prices. She had a smile on her face the entire time and didn't seem to mind making an effort to make sure this woman was taken care of. The only downside to this location is that it can be kind of slow and there is no drive through option. Beyond this, I am always happy with the staff and quality of food.

Local, Tasty, a bit Spendy. Tillamook Cheese... mmmm. Locally sourced beef... mmmm. Sweet Potato Fries...mmmm. But $4.99 mmm? I dunno. Really, I wish they had this place in more places other than Northern Oregon.

If I could count the number of Double Beef Cheeseburgers I've had at this restaurant. I worked there in high school over 30 years ago and had hundreds over those years. I still go back for another every time I come back to town! They were always extremely picky on ingredient quality back then, and it certainly hasn't changed. Great fast food.

I have heard people compare this to In N Out, which isn't fair to both of them. Yesterday was my first time. And I was both impressed and disappointed at the same time. I had the cherry chocolate shake, the Tilamook cheeseburger, and fries. Now, if I'm going to judge them solely alone on the shake, they are for sure, the winner. It was a perfect combination of cherry bits, and chocolate. The two did not over-power each other's flavor. I would happily live off this milkshake for the rest of my life if I could. It was so good, I'm going to give this shake a solid big star on its own. The burger itself was both delicious and disappointing. I know, it's confusing but let me try to explain. The cheese was perfectly good, I love tilamook cheese, the special sauce they use is for sure a winner, but the meat itself was dry, and on the thin side. I feel like they hid the banality of the meat itself with their delicious burger dressing and cheese. I would suggest that they work on the meat a little bit more, that way, they don't need to over-compensate their burgers by drowning them with their sauce. I'll give the burger half a star. The fries tasted like it came from a bag. And it wasn't crispy or hot when it came to my table. It was clearly disappointing. Minus one star for that. The place was retro-styled, it was clean but the front area where you order is a little bit too small for me. It can definitely use a little bit more work. When you open the door, there should be an illusion of space that gives off the vibe of cleanliness and welcoming space. There is no space to step back and read the menu up over head. Minus one star for that. The cashier was adorable and friendly. Half a star for service. The place alone gets two star. BUT, the fact that they use a lot of local ingredients, and they recycle their oil. That they think of their environment and their effort to offer in season food gives them a solid three star. Not even In N Out does that. I will be back again, and I can only hope they improve the cooking of their meat and their french fries. Please?

It's all in the sauce. I love the little burgers I think $1.45 with that sweet burger sauce. That you can also buy at the location. The shakes are also good. I prefer to eat here if I am going to get fast food. It tastes fresh and I feel less guilty.

I love you Burgerville! Dare I say that you are better then in and out? I do! let it be out little secret.... In comparison with in and out it has a less greasy taste, a bigger bun (I'm a carb whore), tillamook cheese, and they buy locally! I was skeptical of the sweet potato fries but they were awesome and better for you. Seating is kind of cramped and this burgerville in particular is pretty old school but it's a burger joint - whatevez. .60 cents for ranch is kind of a downer, but it was some good damn ranch! I'll give up my .60 cents again and again.

Burgerville goes through phases, it has been trying for years now to craft a menu based on local goods. In large part they've succeeded, but it's not perfect. Country natural beef burgers, eat mostly grass and are organic. Sometimes they come out on a bun that looks like it was hit with a sledgehammer. When you're paying nearly $10 for a combo meal and fixings, you want something that looks as fresh as the menu describes. French fries are another matter, the upgrage fries like the Sweat Potatoes, Yukon Golds, and shoe strings all taste very potato like, which is a good thing. BV blows the horn on sustainability on their napkins, receipts, menu, everything wall to wall is about eating local colonic sensations. Why? Why then is it impossible to train an employee to HAND CUT a freaking potato? The regular fries taste good but resemble a fast food frozen fry. At this point I might as well shoot up to McMenamins which hand cuts all their fries and serves the same meat between the buns. Not everything is lost here, I have great meals here several times a year and as much as I complain I love the joint. My main hope with this review is it could be a sounding board to the corporation. If they just upgraded a few things the place would be total 5 star nirvana. Take the new Echo Bleu Cheese burger. This thing is 5 stars of class with its roasted red peppers and Rogue Echo Mountain Bleu cheese. It tastes exactly like an Organic Blue burger should and I relished every bite with a smile. This is a serious improvement over the time they tried to use the same Rogue Smoky Bleu a couple years ago. That sandwich was horrible and I thought I would never try another Bleu from them again, I was wrong and this one is tasteriffic. Burgerville is an awesome place, they are the last "fast" food stronghold for me. The only place I eat that serves a burger over the counter. I'm sure you know about BV, so hopefully this review is more nostaligia than decision making material for you. Don't let my rant belittle their achievements, this place is good!

I love everything Burgerville is trying to do. However, they use the worst buns ever. Ever. The bun is the first thing you taste and Franz buns not only have a bad flavor, but have an off putting smell. Sure I'd like a Portland French roll, but I'm not a total bread snob. And I realize the price of the burger would go up. Though, Little Big Burger uses and amazing Brioche style roll and their prices are very reasonable. Anyway, I've lived all over the country and tasted all the local everyday white breads...Franz is the worst. It really ruins the burger.

i grew up in the area and remember burgerville commercials and driving by these joints so many times. guess i never tried it out cuz it seemed so redneck to me. and im fobalicious. doesn't compute. now it's ok for me to go cuz i'm a tourist ;) also, it's very appealing that it was ahead of it's time in doin the local, organic thing. well i tried it and im done. nothin to write home about...no, i take that back. i'd write home (the folks at home are all meatatarians) and warn them...the patty is too thin! the patty is too thin! the patty is too thin! ....waffle fries and shakes taste good and fresh....so fresh and so clean!

So the only reason I came here was because a friend of mine got a deluxe chicken sandwich and I stole a bite, thought it was fantastic and wanted my own! It was a weekend, and I called to see how much later they would be open, they had an hour before closing, so I went in. The girl at the register looked like she was absolutely pissed that she had 3 customers to wait on, or that she hated her life...whatever... either way...while I am waiting a lady comes up to the counter and shows the girl a burnt bun that her son was served and the girl behind the counter says "oh my god... do you like.. want a new burger? or a new bun? or...what." Uhm... why didnt she just have a new one made correctly, and apoligize?? GRR! this was my first time there, so I didnt know that the 'special' burgerville sauce, was extra... so when I got my to-go bag shoved at me.. and was asked if i wanted ketchup, I said "Sure, and maybe some fry sauce?", she huffs, turns and rolls her eyes at the cook... grabs me one, throws it in the bag and says "Just so you know, its $.50" I go to reach for my wallet, and she puts her hand up and is like "just forget it tonight, but remember next time ok?!" WHAT AN ATTITUDE!!! I have worked in customer service for many years, and if I would have treated ANY customer like they were an idiot or a bother I would have had my ass reamed for sure! anyway... ... when I got home, I notice the fries were thrown in and scattered about the bag, and the chicken patty had slid off the bun and was much smaller compared to the 2 giant pieces of bacon. LUCKILY I had finished off a few beers before and was pretty hungry, so I gobbled it up, but I definitely would avoid going back... unless maybe it was in the daytime. According to my friend who had the good sandwich that I first tasted, he said they are kind of impersonal and in a rush usually, but his sandwich def. didnt look like mine did. Maybe it was just a lucky day when I sampled his... or maybe I had an unlucky night when I went in... either way.. that was DEFINITELY NOT a good experience... at all. :(

"PLEASE STOP COMPARING BURGERVILLE TO IN N' OUT!!!!! They are not even remotely similar. Boogerville is disgusting, greasy, dirty and plain old gross. I detest their burgers, can't stand their fries and when eating the onion rings I can feel my arteries clogging. The only redeeming factor is the milkshakes yet I still will not be caught dead sucking one down. Burgerville = Vomit In N' Out = YUM!!!" Said the angry, bitter Californian.

Once again on my never ending quest to find a good burger and good Korean food here in Oregon, I stop off at Burgerville on Canyon. I've yet to come across a "chain" burger joint with a great burger. Good maybe, but not great for sure. So I was hesitant to stop off at this place even though I drive by it on a daily basis. But one day, curiosity got the best of me and I finally stepped foot inside. The place is very small and I went at the peak of lunch time so it was pretty crowded. The menu was very simple so it was easy for me to decide on the norm, a double bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. The food came out pretty quickly considering the amount of customers in the place. The taste of this burger was very reminiscent of The Giant burger in look, texture, and taste. Put plainly, it was very bland. The beef had no flavor. It draws all the flavor from the bacon, not the beef. I wonder why this is the case with all these burger joints in Oregon? The patties always seem to be pre-formed and pre-frozen or something. I'm still trying to figure this one out. The Burgerville burger was neither good or bad. It was just there. It was formed beef on a bun with veggies topped with bacon. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that these beef patties are frozen because they have no taste to them. Would I eat here again? Maybe if the world was coming to an end or a huge natural disaster hit and it was the only place open. Then maybe; otherwise, there are too many "fast food" joints which have a tastier burger for much cheaper. It's a shame I can't find a decent burger outside of Hawaii or California.

Our first time trying Burgerville USA, my hubby gives it the stamp of approval. We have picked up a burger to go since trying this place as the craving set in for him. I really like that they use produce from local farmers and hormone free beef. My Tillamook cheeseburger was good, a little heavy on mayo but really yummy. And the chocolate milkshake was made with real ice-cream and tasted wonderful. The seasonal items like strawberry milkshakes in summer, and sweet potato fries in fall are great too. They have vegetarian options and most of the burgers/sandwiches don't have onion on them. Also the chicken sandwich with honey mustard sauce on top and barbeque sauce on the bottom; hot damn that is good! I know we will eat here again.

Good food, a little more expensive than your average fast food place. But, if you are in to supporting local restaurants and local farms, then Burgerville is the place for you! I love the Walla Walla sweet onion rings and every year can't wait until they come out. The problem with this location is that the parking lot is rather small and sometimes hard to find a parking spot.

This is an Old School Burgerville location - it really feels like a 50s/60s diner inside and they don't even have drive through (gasp!). For those unfamiliar with Burgerville you should know: they are a northwest company (out of Vancouver) and they work very hard to make sure their business is sustainable: from providing good benefits and health care to employees, to recyclable trash bags, to locally grown, wholesome foods (yeah tillamook! yeah to hormone free beef!). That being said, I wouldn't bother going to Burgerville if it didn't taste good. But it tastes better than good - its amazing and the only "fast food" I'd dream of eating. You MUST have a seasonal milkshake and the sweet potato fries (when they are in season every autumn). Enjoy!

This is one of the smallest Burgerville USA locations around. I like the concept and fresh ingredients and when I need a fast food burger it's the place I go. No thousand cow burgers served here. Good shakes and fries.

i was with some friends trying to scope out lunch in downtown beaverton...we thought we'd hit some sushi...or maybe go down to Washington Square. But ultimately we saw Burgerville USA on the side of the road and went there. They make a moderate attempt at clean living: wind power, recycled canola oil, etc...And they make a good burger, with (of course) Tillamook cheese. I enjoyed my lunch which also included fries and a yogurt shake.

It's usually quite busy here during the lunch hour, but the wait is worth it. The Tillamook Cheeseburger is killer and I'm in love with the Rosemary fries. Highly recommended.

The seasonal milkshakes are really tasty! I haven't eaten anything else here because one, I see the milkshake and two, I then want a milkshake.

Delicious food! Try the seasonal fresh berry milkshakes. They have choices for vegetarians too! Wish they had a drive-thru, but the Allen & Scholls Ferry location does.

Okay, first let me just say, I don't do fast food. No I am extremely anti fast food. Yes, I am a pain on road trips. But I love Burgerville. I feel there is an exception to be made for Burgerville. It isn't really fast food. I mean, this location doesn't even have a drive through, which would be why I minus a star. The other downfall to this location is the only bathroom is outside and you have to use a key. No fun for a mama dining solo with two small children. But my-gawd the staff are amazingly freindly, I mean crazy friendly. One lady actually came over and helped me with my baby so I could get food into my mouth. The food is all local from the NW and it is real food with no GM products or PHOs. They have seasonal products which makes you feel like the food must be fresh. The inside doesn't feel fast foodish either, it is more 50's diner decor. This will always be my only fast food joint. One note - no changing table, so yes I used the booth at my table to change the diaper. Sorry diners.
