Big Town Hero Menu

Worst Big Town Hero I have been to. Very disappointing all around. GF had a craving for this, so I made a special trip to get her some. Order two turkey bacon avocados, add tomatoes (why don't these come with tomatoes already?). Was told they were out of white bread, this was at 2ish in the afternoon. No problem, ordered the onion bread. Drove home, and opened up the sandwiches. The bread was dry and lacking. Neither sandwich had the tomatoes I asked for. The avocados had big brown spots on them. All in all, I wish I went elsewhere for lunch.

Have yet to be impressed with the new ownership. They are new at it so I've been wiling to try several different times hoping that they would get the routine down, but I can't stand it anymore. All of the employees are nice and friendly, but the sandwich making isn't up to snuff. I waited 25 minutes for my sandwich today. When I finally approached the staff they apologized for losing the ticket and made my sandwich right away. Unfortunately this isn't the first time it happened, and I will NOT be giving them another shot. Big thanks to the previous owner for many years of service and best of luck to the new owner.

They're not as good as they were a little over a decade ago when they were new. The bread used to be more fresh and the service a little faster. However, a Very Berry Turkey with extra cream cheese and extra cranberry sauce is still one of the greatest sandwiches produced by any sandwich shop anywhere. I'll gladly pay for a 90% great experience.

Holy cow the guys working here are super nice and friendly! Despite the fact that the dude taking our order made the repugnant decision to wear a Lakers hat, the sandwiches were good and they have Dijon if you ask.

Even subway is better and I don't like subway.... Wanted to try this place. Went to the one on imbrie on Sunday afternoon and they were closed. Went to this location and now I know why that other location was closed. The only good thing about this place is the bread. Everything else did not taste fresh. Meats tasted like they been sitting in a bag for a while. there was food all over the floor in the dining area. The booths were torn and were taped up. Nats were flying around. Won't be back.

Found a really long hair baked into the bread. You people ever hear of hairnets? I won't be going here ever again. Gross!

This was my first foray in deep Beaverton (lunch is an insipid task west of Portland) and I was pleasantly surprised how delicious turkey sandwich was. The ingredients were quite normal but the sandwich was more than the sum of its parts. I would probably frequent Big Town Hero more often but I cannot in good conscience patronize a business that has Fox News on all the time. While I enjoy watching Fox "News" when I travel for its entertainment value - absurd talking heads whom I imagine the Canadians in South Park are loosely based off - but like the sun one can only be exposed to so much before it causes irrevocable harm. Anyhow, I really enjoyed the sandwich (and being the only minority there).

This place really came through for us. We had a last minute need for catering for 70 people; last minute = in two hours time. And we needed it delivered. I'm sure that it helped we are only two blocks away from the location, but I was still impressed with not only the friendliness and co-operative effort on the parts of Pam and Don, but with the perfect follow-through.. As a bonus, Pam was very friendly and eager to help us out; perfect customer service. i knocked off one star simply because the food itself was more something for a family picnic than a corporate pow-wow. i don't mean to imply that it was under par quality wise; on the contrary it was fresh and well assembled, particularly when you consider the time frame. in summary, if you need something fast and not bad tasting, i highly recommend this place.

Great bread. It's what makes me come back. My favorite is the Very Berry Turkey. Better than its national chain competitors.

Delicious and friendly! Only problem is that this place is open so few hours of the week and especially weekends! We always come here for food and discover it being closed.

Sandwiches are delicious, bread is delicious. Big, filling and fresh! Most of the employees there are super friendly. However, the Fox news on TV drives me nuts. Seriously.. not cool. I am cutting them a star just for that, i can't get over it.

I don't normally review things on Yelp but this is worth it. The bread couldn't be more fresh, the ingredients are just fine, and there's never been trash on the floor in the dozen times we have been there. Some people are just too picky. When we go somewhere it's also about the experience. I've never even noticed what was on TV and has anyone ever asked if they could change it? The owner is so nice I'm sure he would change it if he knew how much it bothered you for the twenty minutes you are there to eat your sandwich. We have two kids and there aren't many places like BTH where you can get a great kids meal at a great price as well as friendly staff who are only adding to your experience with the great sandwich. I can't get enough of BTH and every time we are in the Freddie's parking lot my three year old is begging me to get her Big Town Hero.

Smiles and great service. I had my sandwich in minutes. Chris Parr was polite and took my order very quickly. Bacon and pastrami was the order, and the order was good.

I've been to this Big Town Hero a couple of times now and I've never had a problem with it. The service is good and the food is decent. I do agree that the bread is not as fresh as it could be. It's not the best BTH that I've ever been to, but it's not terrible either.

Let it be known my review is based solely on vegetarian sandwiches. SPECIFICALLY the actual veggie sandwich. It's phenomenal. If you love cheese, pickles, peppercini(sp?), sprouts, etc.. and just overall flavor it's fantastic!! Oh yes, and you must get it with Onion bread!! That's what really makes it..so soft and tasty. =)

This BTH just sucks. The bread is always bad/old and/or frozen and the tv with FOX News on it really makes me nervous.

Slow, bad service. Mediocre sandwiches. Waited 21 minutes for a turkey sandwich that I had called in advance for. How long does it take to slap some meat between some bread? I finally approached the counter to check the progress and found out my sandwich had been sitting in the window for who knows how long. The dude working the counter was moving at a snails pace even though there must have been 20 people in that place. Are you kidding me? Sandwich was mostly bread and lettuce. To their credit it was good bread. The sign on the outside said under new ownership, but in this case I don't think that is a good thing.

I live within minutes of this BTH location so it is a business I frequent. Upon entering the restaurant, there is a large sign informing you the business has a new owner. And it is clearly evident. I miss the previous owner!!! My sandwich was a 'hot' sandwich. Once I received my order and took a bite, I realized it was a bit cold towards the center. Cheese wasn't even melted. Huge No, NO in my book. I will probably give them another try since this was the first bad sandwich I've had in years.

You know i used to rave about the salads here, but then they switched to a packaged salad dressing that isnt as good, and lately they have been forgetting ingredients. This time they forgot the tomatos and bell peppers on my chef salad. I guess i need to learn to take my salads out and inspect them before leaving or just choose one pf the other local areas that have good salads. Disappointed they have gone down hill.

I've been going to this Big Town Hero for the last two years. The service is always friendly and the owner took the time to get to know the customers. However, it appears they have experienced a change in ownership recently. They no longer provide the business discount and the product does not taste as great or as fresh as before. The bread lacks the fluffy texture I use to enjoy so much. Sadly, it looks like I need to fin another new place to frequent. I will say the staff always smiles and does exhibit great customer service. If I could use 2.5 stars, I would.

We are embroiled in chores and I didn't want to stop for lunch. Hubby got us iced mochas from Peet's (inside Freddys)and picked up sammiches. My wheatish bread was fine, and I had plenty of turkey and avocado on my sandwich. There were a couple crispy strips of bacon. We like the option to have a 4, 8, or 12 inch sandwich. Sometimes 6 is too much or too little. 12 is too big. I liked this much better than the other two nearby options. Hubby said they were quick and nice. Cool.

I have smelt the fresh bread being baked often as I walked by and it smells so good I had to put them on my list of sandwich shops to visit. The fact that they bake their bread fresh everyday is an attractive feature of quality for me. Its not "fresh baked" like subway does with frozen break sticks, Big Town Hero mixes their dough in a large mixer and bakes fresh every morning! It smells so delicious as I walk by. When I came in they were not busy at all which was good for me at least. They have a decent selection of meats and cheeses to choose from, as well as chips and drinks. The staff is friendly and quick. I ordered a 2 meat foot long, with all of the fixings. The meat was fresh sliced that day as well and I believe the cheese as well. They don't skip out on the meat portions either! the bread was soft and chewy (perfect!) the only thing I didnt like was the lettuce and that's just my personal preference about lettuce, im not a fan of shredded lettuce, I would like to see an option of leaf lettuce or maybe spinach? who knows it may already be an option I just didn't see. I will most likely return in the future so long as they keep baking the bread fresh everyday!

After scrambling due to a debacle by Domino's on a delivery for a client coming in within 30 minutes I reached out to Big Town hero down the road. Within 10 minutes everything was ready, done perfectly AND with a smile. I love Big Town Hero overall, but I love this location the best. It's had 3 franchise owners over the years of going there but somehow they've never skipped a beat on how they treat their customers, provide service and run their business. Thank you for understanding and valuing the relationships of your customers!
