I personally love this place. It's my favorite spot on the west side for Japanese food. Their chicken yakisoba is very, VERY good. The couple that works their is always friendly, I've never had a problem with them. Unless they are pretty busy you usually get your food with in 5 minutes after ordering it. I'll be honest, the restaurant isn't a Zen garden. It's clean, well lit, and has an okay view of TV Highway while your eating, but it is kind of tacky and small as far as restaurants go. I have no doubt in my mind though, if this restaurant was in downtown Portland, there would be a line out their door for most of the day.

I have had the pleasure of being a customer here for over 15 years. The food is as great as the first day. It is clean and organized. NO MSG! Your order is made right in front of you when you order...fresh food fast!! I typically try to eat here 3-5 times a month. Additionally, they're fantastic for ordering trays for parties. Literally, thus place has saved my life providing me with excellent food during some of the most horrible times in my life. I totally recommend this place to anyone. Don't be fooled by the outside. It's not flashy...and the food will have you coming back for more!

Been going here for a couple of years now. The food is very good, it's my favorite teriyaki place to go to around the aloha area. However one thing they could improve on is the meat of the chicken, like many other reviews on here I too found the chicken meat quite rubbery in texture. But besides that everything is great, their sauce is delicious, portions are good, prices are right. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that likes teriyaki!

Went here with my sister and we both ordered chicken teriyaki. My chicken was grey and tasted weird but hers looked normal. I dunno if I got the unlucky chicken that day or what but I'm not going back.

Great prices and portion. I've had the teriyaki and beef combo a few times. Comes on a bed of rice and veggies. I'd recommend asking for less teriyaki sauce as they tend to drown it.

This place has delicious food, great portion size, always fresh and tasty. My favorite dishes are the Chicken Yakisoba with a side of teriyaki sauce to drizzle on top, Udon (any kind), Hot and Spicy beef and Chicken, and the potstickers. The noodles are delicious, Udon is very fresh and they wait to add the noodles until you pick up so they don't get mushy, the teriyaki sauce is homemade and one of the best I have had. I really like that the veggies are fresh and not over-cooked, the meat is tender, and always tasty. If you are looking for a trendy, expensive, sit down meal this is not the place, but if you are looking for an affordable, fresh, tasty meal in a down to earth atmosphere, this is your place! If you call ahead for pick up they have your food ready promptly and piping hot. The owners are really nice too and remember you if you regularly come in. I recommend getting a few sides of teriyaki sauce with your meal, you won't regret it. Enjoy!

I have driven by this Restaurant for years and years and finally decided it was time to give them a try. I am not a huge fan of Teriyaki in general but it was convenient. I agree with the other reviewers the sauce was delicious and the chicken was rubbery. I somehow thought the chicken would be on a kabob or something but it was chicken pieces. The rice was oddly clumpy. The veggies seemed to be of a frozen variety. The Pot Stickers were out of a bag and fried in lots of oil which was left behind in the to go container and served with a red sauce? The place needs a good scrubbing, I am afraid to look up their health score. I am sure it is good for some, but I doubt I shall be back.

Great teriyaki sauce! I tried the chicken teriyaki and definitely couldn't recommend it. Chicken was rather rubbery dark meat with the skin on, and kind of an off flavor. Frankly, I couldn't eat the meat and ended up just eating the rice with lots of sauce. That was pretty good, actually. I would maybe try one of the other teriyaki dishes, but there are other places in town that do teriyaki better and I'd rather go there.

Just went in for lunch. Mushy noodles, rubbery chicken, oily sauce that just tastes like oil and soy sauce. The vegetables were obviously frost bitten and shriveled before they got cooked. I will never go here again. If you want good teriyaki, go to Teriyaki Woo on 185th and West Union...they have the best teriyaki I have ever had in my life. P.S. My stomach has started to hurt. I just finished my meal about 10 minutes ago. Gross! The good news is that the restaurant looks pretty clean.

Finally, I found a place to replace NoHos! The food was tasty and filling, and the noodles were fantastic!

I like the food and the quality is questionable. Me and my crew frequent this place for our lunch break. Could be better but good enough,

Typical teriyaki joint here. Nothing special and nothing fancy. I wanted spicy pork but there wasn't any on the menu so I asked the owner if he could whip up dwae ji bulgogi style for me. He politely agreed to do so and I couldn't wait. I took my order to go and when I got to opening my plate, I was sorely disappointed. He made it a stir fry with a ton of cabbage and carrots with barely any pork!! I was a bit upset when I seen this because it was not what I had in mind. He and I both knew what I was talking about but he made a stir fry? I guess the veggies add more volume to the plate and of course it's much cheaper to serve this way rather than just giving me pork as I had asked. I normally would give this a 2 star rating but the food was actually decent tasting. Well, whatever pork there was in the plate tasted good. The rest of the plate was fillers.

We really wanted to like this place because it's so close to our house. Unfortunately the food was not good. The meat was rubbery and the sauces weren't great.

This is the best Teriyaki place in the Aloha/Beaverton area to my knowledge. The only other place that I can think of that compares to 21 Teriyaki is a place called Teriyaki Bowl that is in Tanasbourne off of 185th Ave. 21 Teriyaki has a rather tacky and run down interior, but the food is nothing short of amazing. The people who run it are very nice and they make the food very quickly as soon as you order it. I'd recommend Spicy Chicken Yakisoba, Bul Go Ki, or Combo G (which is shredded beef and chicken over rice). Portions are quite large for any combo or meal and cost around $6.50. I've been to numerous more expensive sit down restaurants and none of them have been able to top 21 Teriyaki's Spicy Chicken Yakisoba as of yet. Edit: One of the other reviewers mentioned being "afraid to look up their health scores" I looked them up. Score: 95, 11/17/2014 Score: 100, 05/28/2014 Nothing to worry about here.

I thought this place was very tasty, I got the spicy beef and chicken combo plate. I think it's definatly worth stopping in if your close and want some good bento.

Pretty good bento. I got the spicy chicken bento ($4.75) with stir fried veggies and white rice. The veggies were pretty tasty. I'm giving it four stars because I can't think of a better teriyaki joint in Beaverton. But I would not make the drive from Portland to here.
