Yay!!!!! Love the new location!!!! Hubby and I stopped in for lunch last week. Did the buffet - WOW! All the favorites to pick and choose from! Service is a 10 and the ambiance is too! The food is as awesome as ever and we even took a cream horn home for a later dessert (too full of cucumber salad, mama's meat balls, spaetzel, red cabbage, cabbage rolls, chicken paprikash - oh wow! Parking is not an issue, which was a worry with the move downtown. Love you guys!!!! Keep it up!!!!

This has long been one of my favorite restaurants. I started going soon after they opened in the old hobby shop. Now I have been in their newly opened new location. It is still Good. I was there last Saturday with a friend. We both had the buffet ($11.99) it features many of their best dishes. Székely Töltött Káposzta is a Hungarian cabbage rolls. Beef Pörkölt is a steak tip sauce that goes well over their home made noodles, Chicken Paprikás is my favorite, tasty and it also goes well over their home made noodles. The buffet also has breads, some amazing cucumbers (in herbs), and well, you have to see it all, it isn't the biggest buffet I've ever seen, it's actually quite small. It is however one of the best. If you still have room, I know from visits to their old location the deserts are quite good. By far, my favorite is Csokolate Torta chocolaty with apricot preserves it is amazing! The space is nice, but quite a bit smaller then the last one. It has lots of murals on the wall. It is nice but it still feels a bit sterile. Downtown Albany has come along way since I was last there, Lots of antique shops and now Novak's my favorite resteraunt in the city.

Novak's recently moved and I have to say that when I pulled up to a empty building with a 'for lease' sign outside, I almost cried. Much to my relief, their website stated that they had simply moved a few miles away. I left a review on their previous yelp page but felt compelled to do so here. Novak's should be talked about and I believe celebrated for their lovely Hungarian food. I have no need to cover each of the delicious items I have tasted off of the menu. They are all tasty. The cabbage rolls in particular are melt in your mouth. They have a buffet on Sunday allowing you to try many of their main dishes. They also have a beautiful baked goods selection which I buy goodies from to take home every visit. Please check out my other review if you want more details on the specific dishes I have tasted and their flavor profiles. I drive over a hour to eat at Novak's and will continue to do so. The staff members are always friendly. I have never had a issue and always enjoy myself. Novak's makes me long for my Grandmother's kitchen, and I know she would approve.

New location, same quality. The Sunday buffet comes with a drink and has a ton of selections, and the service has always been excellent. I hope their new location brings in a ton of business, because you can't find a place like this anywhere else.

The lunch buffet was amazing! Food was very fresh and hot. Staff was very friendly and they are kid friendly as well which is super helpful! We will definitely be back :)
