This barely made 3 stars. My large group of friends came to eat lunch here on a Saturday. It wasn't crowded but they didn't even have our reserved table ready for us until we stood there for 15 minutes. Our waitress did an amazing job for handling a 12 top. The salsa was very good. Not spicy and very tomato based. The chips were a little stale and cold. Not fresh by far. I ordered the rotisserie chicken salad $11 add avocado $1 with the chilli lime dressing. The salad looked beautiful. The chicken was bland along with the dressing and the cucumbers were bitter. Definitely not worth $12. This may be just one of my pet peeves but I find it extremely unprofessional when delivering food to shout out the order to the table and have the customer claim it. Ugh. My friends all ordered burritos which looked really delish. I tried a bite of the breakfast burrito and it was just ok. The tortilla over powered all of the stuffing. For dessert I ordered a slice of apple pie $4. It was the only seriously yummy thing there. You can order a whole pie $20 and take it home. This place had a great feel to it. Good looking, clean, friendly staff, but the food is mediocre.

The biggest perk about this place is their many options for vegetarians. I myself chose the greens and grains salad with chipotle lime dressing. It was fine, but for $10 I was expecting more flavor and better service. Complimentary tortilla chips and salsa (which does not feature green chilies- I was surprised) was nice, but queso is $7, and no tortillas. This ain't your standard Mexican joint - but if you're going to charge those prices, make sure your flavors and service are worth it.

We finally got around to trying this restaurant with the family after our son's soccer game. In short, it's a nice change of pace for Yukon, but nothing special. We had the green chile queso and chips to start before ordering some enchiladas and tamales. We really enjoyed the queso, but the main courses were kind of meh. Neither dishes were bad or particularly great. We also had one each of the red and white sangria. The price for the drinks was not unreasonable, but they were not very flavorful, tasted a little watered down. The saving grace for the place was the apple and chile pie. Delicious!

This is what MEXICAN should taste like! This is the "sister" restaurant to the Green Chili Kitchen in San Francisco and these people know what they are doing when it comes to perfecting taste and presentation! Start with a LARGE margarita ($8), you won't be disappointed! And get the green chili queso hot, not mild! The green chilis are not that spicy and it's a good kick before your main dish! The menu is full of original New Mexican dishes, from tamalas to stuffed sopapillas. My husband let our waitress order for him and she picked the stuffed sopapillas, half steak, half chicken.. he was in HEAVEN. on the other hand decided to order a la carte, which is such a nice option to have when you can foresee that you will be too full to enjoy rice and beans, and the a la carte menu had the open faced Homestyle Chicken Enchilada. It was honestly the best Chicken Enchilada type casserole I have had in a very long time! Order it, take it home as a meal for the next day. Just don't leave this restaurant without ordering this! Service was great too. Place is set up almost better for groups of 6-8 people more so than 2-4 peeps. So you may have to wait a little longer for a smaller table. We didn't mind cause we were on a date night and enjoyed our Margs at the bar!

GREEN CHILI STEW!!! WOOHOOO!!! Finally decided to try the Green Chili Kitchen. The green chili stew is awesome!! It's not hot, has good flavor. This Colorado boy is now happy to have some cuisine close to home!! Also tried their green chili lemonade, it's a bit different and has a little bit of a spicy kick to it.

Loved the green chile queso!!! Certainly gave it a twist. My fiancé and I split a green chile quesadilla so that we would have room for some dessert. We went with the green chile apple pie and were not disappointed! Can't wait to come back and try some drinks as well.

Wife made me go, not a fan a Mexican food, this place had rave reviews from a friend. But it seems like all the rest. The service here is excellent though. They defiantly tried to make our experience a good one.

I've been meaning to get into this place but kept putting it off. But on my weekly ride I happened to be nearby and starving at the same time so I dropped in. I have one method of judging a restaurant I call the 3-O'Clock Challenge. 2 O'Clock works just as well. The idea is to come in during a very slow time and see what kind of food and service you get. If it's good at three, it means they care and you didn't piss them off for interrupting their slack time. So I waltzed in threeish; there were a few people there so I sat down and was very quickly served. Ice tea and salsa/chips came real fast and they were pretty good. I ordered the Tamales, home made and also very good. Service was quick and efficient. I'll be back.

Great food and service! Everything was fresh and the queso was amazing! Our server, Jasmine, was very sweet and attentive. We will be back!

They have an amazing deal on Sundays! Bring the whole family and have a whole chicken to share! Have some beers too! I enjoyed my experience here!

Loved this joint, reminded me of my childhood in New Mexico. Wish there was a location closer to South OKC. Hope to get back to Yukon for a stuffed sopapilla - haven't had one of those in years.

Green chili quest. Pork verde stew. Wonderful mix of flavors. Treasure chest tokens for the kids. This is my favorite place in Yukon.

Excellent food, average service, good change up from greasy Mexican. Expect lots of green chiles and flavor. Pricing is slightly higher than standard Mexican but worth it.

DO NOT CONFUSE THEIR FOOD WITH NEW MEXICAN FOOD. Tonight was my first and last time to visit this place...Three of us arrived at 7:30 pm today..We were seated promptly at a table with a top so loose I thought it was going to fall off... We were served their red sauce and chips..I asked about roasted green chili sauce and was curtly told that our waiter could get that for us...All 3 of us agreed the red sauce they served tasted more like a Marinara sauce than anything even remotely Mexican.... Our waiter arrived and I asked him about a roasted hot green chili sauce..All they have is the sauce they put on food as it is served..I asked for that and he brought me a SMALL ramekin of sauce.. The only thing hot was the heat from the stove..Very bland and tasteless .It looked and tasted like it was dumped out of a can..This WAS NOT a roasted green chili sauce . I ordered the Mew Mexico style smothered burrito Christmas with hot green sauce with chicken. My friend ordered the smothered burrito with steak strips and my partner ordered Carne Adovado... Our food arrived shortly and as everything else it was a disappointment..Smothered meant here wasn't enough sauce to completely cover the burrito..In New Mexico when I order a chicken burrito, I expect , and it is filled with chicken...This had more beans than anything in it and what little chicken that was in it tasted like boiled and diced chicken breast...In New Mexico when it says it's smothered it's completely covered in the sauces..The burrito's were dry on the end because there was not enough sauce to cover them. I ordered retried beans and no rice...The beans were thick , dry and bland. This is the first time I've ever walked out of a restaurant that served Mexican, New Meaican , Tex-Mex or even Okie-Mex and left food on the plate . Tonight I did. My partner's carne adovado had a sauce on it unlike anything you'll find in New Mexico.. I don't know how they make their rice but it has to be the worse attempt at serving a side of rice I've ever seen. He couldn't eat it . My partner is Hispanic, born and raised in New Mexico, I've lived years in New Mexico..He and I are both great cooks if I say so myself and know how to cook and season New Mexico style food...We know what roasted green chili is supposed to taste like. We always keep it on hand..So we know New Mexican food... THIS IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO NEW MEXICAN.. For those that give this food a good rating all I can say is...You've never had good New Mexican style food..

Grand opening was Saturday so we drove out to Yukon to try it out. Started with a cup of green chili stew and another of the posada - both were good but the posada was REALLY good. Very tasty! From there went on to the enchiladas (chicken), tamales (pork) and taco (steak). Also had this GREAT side dish of grilled or maybe sauteed squash, onions, etc REALLY good. The key are the sauces so try them all and see what you prefer. They range from realy mild to really spicy! Finally they were offering free apple, green chili pie - WOW. GREAT! Go for it. This place is very cool for Yukon, America and worth the drive down Route 66 (few miles past turnpike). GO GO GO!!

Absolutely charming! I don't throw that word around because I think it is such high praise. But charming is what I thought all night. We were happy to finally get to check this out last night. They've been so busy, which is a good thing! We got there a little after 8 and had to wait for about 20 minutes, but no bother. We sat at the bar and I had an tasty margarita made from lime juice and agave. It was so big, I wasn't even finished with it when dinner was over. The menu is outstanding. It took us forever to figure out what to order, but our helpful server Mindy helped us figure out some good choices that would allow us to sample more of the menu. I ordered the 1/4 rotisserie chicken, which came with a huge house salad, black beans and seasoned rice, with a large, fresh homemade flour tortilla. Um, it was $8. My salad was so big I couldn't finish it, the chicken was delicious. I don't think I could have eaten this amount of food at Taco Bueno for $8, and the quality was outstanding. Darren came by and told us a little bit more about the story of how this great restaurant came to be in Yukon. Others in our party had a burrito (delish), Christmas tamales and pinto beans - apparently five star all the way, and the enchiladas. Everyone loved their food and ate every bite (or as much of it as we could). We also loved the guac, with a bit of a kick to it and served with fresh tortillas). This is the sister restaurant to GCK in San Francisco; just check out the restaurant's press page if you want to read all about their success in the SF Chronicle, Guardian, even the Wall Street Journal. Their pies were so successful in SF, a separate storefront now sells the pies and their legendary pie shake. We were too full to try the pies last night, but we'll be back very soon methinks. I'm sure the sweet hostess has endured a phenomenal amount of abuse at the hands of patrons clamoring to be seated. Especially in the winter, when you can't just grab a margarita and go stand outside, she was being hassled by several people who were not that nice. I hope she gets mad tip-share or a great hourly salary or something. I hope people realize when they come to a place like this on a Friday night, yeah, there may be a wait. If you insisted on bringing the kiddos to the hot place in town on a weekend night, they better be okay with waiting, too. It's not the hostess' fault you're kid hasn't eaten since snack time at 8:15 on a Friday night. I'll look forward to updating and adding a fifth star. There was a bit of a timing issue, possibly in the plating of our food. My black beans and rice were a touch cold. We were one of the last parties to order, so it also could have been an end-of-the-evening issue. Either way, I wasn't terribly concerned. I'm eating pretty light these days. If I had been planning on eating all of it, I'm certain I could have asked for new sides and they would have been lovely about it. We were so charmed by the space, the people, the menu, the food and the time with friends, we can't wait to get back.

For Oklahoma, it's not bad. It's an attempt at more of a modern Mexican/America fusion. The atmosphere is very simple but the tables are piled in for maximum seating which takes away from the overall atmosphere. I had the Carne Adovada burrito and I was not terrible pleased with the meat. The seasoning had a sweet hint to it that just wasn't my thing. The hot Green Chili on top was delicious though.

Hoping to return to this restaurant because the food was delicious, flavorful and left me yearning for more! Shayla was an excellent waitress.

The food was great. The lack of air conditioning on a 90 degree day made it less enjoyable than it should have been.

  • Sara B.

This place has GREAT margaritas! and a nice little patio to sit on while you sip on your drink. The queso, chips and salsa are all pretty good. Other than that the food is just average...it seems to be a little bland and under-seasoned. My husband and I will keep going back for drinks and snacks but we probably won't bother eating a full meal here again.

  • Tiffany M.

It's...ok. Nothing spectacular about anything. Well, the salsa and guacamole are pretty good. The rest is meh. Throwing Hatch green chili sauce on top of stuff does not make it "New Mexican." Service is a real crap shoot. They're either overly attentive and annoying when it's not busy, or ignore you completely when busy.

So impressed with this restaurant! Fabulous food with fresh ingredients. The chicken enchiladas are by far my favorite but the veggie burrito is excellent as well. Can't wait to take more family and friends to this great find!

This place is a gem. The queso is amazing. I've been here for lunch a few times and had the burrito and the frito chili pie. Both dishes were very good. The atmosphere is really nice. It's definitely out of the ordinary for Yukon, OK and one of my faves.

  • John C.

I really like this place. It has a great atmosphere and great food. I've always had great service. I think the prices are very good too. I like the queso for an appetizer. They do put green chiles in everything, including the apple pie, so be prepared for that. As far as Mexican food in Yukon, OK goes, this is head and shoulders above everything else.

Delicious meal! I haven't tasted anything bad in the many times we have been. The Guacamole is wonderful! The tamales are the best in town. My only complaint is the beer glasses are not cold so the beer isn't as cold as they need to be. Great margaritas' though.

  • Kevyn M.

This was one of my faves but a few weeks ago it was just "so so". Tonight we decided to give it one more try and I am so glad we did! The food and service were great. Our favorite is the white queso and green chile. Anything with the chicken is a safe bet. My husband was a little disappointed that they were out of the apple and green chile pie. You won't regret eating here.

Ate here today and it was delicious!!! We had a table of 13 and our waiter was excellent! I recommend any one of the smothered burritos.

Very good northern-New Mexico style food. I am so glad to have this place a short drive away, rather than the 8-hour trek we make regularly to eat this type of yumminess. Ignore the haters and come for a change from Tex-Mex or tacqueria food. I lived in New Mexico for a while (both north and south parts of the state) and these people get it right. Leave your provincial expectations behind and enjoy a taste of Santa Fe.

Not your everyday "mexican" food. Great food, great service and cool vibe.

  • Cara O.

Meh. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. I am pretty sure the refried beans were canned and the rice from a package. Very little flavor and gross texture. The tacos were nothing special. I could get decent tacos from Taco Bell. The chips were ok, the salsa was probably the only good thing. Everything else was just a step above Taco Bell and definitely not as good as Ted's or On the Border. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back and would probably only go if it was the only option.

This place was amazing! The portions were big, the price fair, and the atmosphere was nice and comfortable. The complementary chips and salsa were outstanding. Our new favorite place for Mexican!

We went on a casual Sunday morning right when they opened. Was a good hostess greeting and that's where it ended. The waitress we had was "fake nice" and could tell she was working for a tip. She had only one other table and was still slow as molasses when we needed something. Of course the cardinal sin, she let my water cup get empty, and had to drink off my wife's until she made it around with a refill when I was done. Poor service. I ordered the savory stuffed sopapillas. Ordered with just ground beef because it was already $14 and to make it a steak version it would have cost me $2 more. Figured $14 was expensive enough for meat inside bread. It was bland and no flavor. More flavor in a Taco Bell soft taco. The beans where the only upside to the meal. Would not go back, or recommend to anyone. From top to bottom a complete a snoozer of an experience.

I really like this place. It is not Mexican but New Mexican food. If you like various types of Chili's, then you should like the food here. I really enjoy the chips, salsa, and queso.y favorite item is the pork adovado. It has an interesting mix of flavors and spices that it cooks in. It is on the spicy side, so buyer beware.

Whoa, hold the phone. Hard to believe, but this restaurant is one my favorites in SAN FRANCISCO. My husband and I were recommended GCK from a friend and now stop by on every SF trip. Just recently my husband texted me to say, "Green Chile Kitchen in SF, yeah? There's a location in YUKON, Oklahoma." I couldn't figure out what on earth he meant. My husband is from Yukon, we go there all the time to see his family... how is Green Chile also here? Soon we figured out that the Green Chile owner hailed from the Miller town itself, so decided to open a Green Chile Rt. 66 version. So on a rainy Saturday morning, we met up with my in-laws to try it out. (It actually exists!) While the decor was very similar to the SF one, the style was slightly different as we had a waiter -- in San Fran you order at the register and sit wherever. The menu seemed more extensive here too. We all ordered a variety of items, the winners being the tacos and the breakfast burrito platters. I had the pozole, because I can never ever pass it up, and it was pretty good. Not as authentic as I like it, but still good. Overall, super excited about GCK being a tad bit closer to us now, if you couldn't tell.

Green chile kitchen was delicious! ! The service was fast and my food was hot!! The queso was yummy , inside seating was nice, i would like if they had booths on the back wall. Its located of rt66 which made it easy to locate!! I will definitely be going back again!!

Green chili kitchen is another restaurant here in Oklahoma that is truly unique and easily one of the best. There are only a couple other locations in the country. Guess where?? San Francisco!! Not sure why they are here, but I'm glad they are. Best place to get New Mexico style food in the city and it is amazing. Seriously delicious food. I am mad I'm not there right now eating as I write this. Green chili, posole, blue corn tortillas, etc. all good. Plus, they really specialize in pies! The Green chili apple pie and peanut butter pie are two of my favorites.

Let me stary out by saying, Mexican and New Mexican food are different. I grew up in AZ, Mexico, lived in El Paso, and spent a lot of time in Las Cruces, NM. I have had real green chiles from Hatch, NM. I had high hopes for this place and was very let down. Nothing i had tasted like new mexican fare in the slightest bit. Their "hot" green chiles did not have any heat at all. There is so much more than adding green chiles to something to make it new mexican. Salsa i've bought from Target is better than their house salsa, the green chile chicken enchiladas were bland. Their version of a stacked enchilada is called a "flat" enchada and yes, it is flat. New mexican stacked enchiladas also have a fried egg on top and are generally 2 layers. The escabeche didn't have any heat and was dried out. The queso was good, but nothing special. The chile verde isn't anything more than what tastes like warmed up diced green chiles out of a can and smothered on something. Things i did love about Green Chile Kitchen was the ambiance, their beer selection and how they support Oklahoma by serving up mostly local beer. The sopapilla i had for dessert was amazing. The outdoor patio with live music was hoppin', and the restaurant aethetically was awesome! Would not come back for the food.

Driving from Oklahoma City to Yukon didn't take much time at all. The restaurant really looks nice as you approach it. It has the outdoor patio and looks especially cool at night when it's lit up. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by friendly staff and were taken to our table. We were brought chips and salsa. The salsa was on the tomato side with not too much personality (think marinara). Kinda of plain Jane. The chips were ordinary. Both could have come of the shelf. I ordered a margarita. I upsized it to a Cadillac. I had to pay extra for that. I was rather underwhelmed when it came in a pretty tiny little mason jar. It did taste good but I couldn't help but think it was the mix that gave the Margarita a good flavor and not too much alcohol. I repeat.....not very much alcohol. I ordered a red enchilada plate with refried beans. The plate comes with a little salad but no Spanish rice. The refried beans were good but thick. As for the enchiladas, I customized my order by asking them to place an egg on top which they were able to do. I thought that was fantastic. However, I was pretty disappointed with the enchilada plate. The corn tortillas were not that soft and there was not that much red chile. During the course of my meal I did take a bite that had a good amount of red chile in it and it was really good. My wife made the comment to me that they might just spoon the red chili on top of the corn tortillas wheras when we make them at home we dip the whole corn tortilla in the red chile. (Hint to restaurant) I ordered the chocolate peanut butter pie. 5 stars on the dessert. Overall I feel I'm being generous with the three stars due to the prices being charged.

ate there last night! The tamales are delicious as was the 7-layer dip! The green chilies are to die for, just like being in New Mexico! Great atmosphere and great bar service! Will defiantly be coming back.

A Fad Reaching for Greatness, but Missing the Mark I asked them because I noticed the menu was mostly different than what I am used to seeing in a Mexican Restaurant. The waitress seemed to be annoyed by the question (I think that I may not be the only one looking for the fajitas on the menu) (fyi - they don't serve fajitas, and you are not supposed to ask why). The waitress is obviously "well-rehearsed" on describing the restaurant classification which is "New Mexican". I asked, "What is New Mexican?" She more-or-less proceeded to explain to me why they don't serve fajitas, because fajitas aren't "New Mexican". Fajitas are one of the highest selling products in the Midwest, but why should that make any difference? "New Mexican" seems more like a fad that they are trying to pull off. And, they are falling way short... Here is what I had: Guacamole Appetizer - it was oily, and you get one side (?), I chose the tortillas - but I wanted Corn Tortillas which the waitress reluctantly had to find especially for my request. Why? Maybe corn tortillas are not "New Mexican"? It took her a while to find some that she had to swipe from one of the cooks. Grilled Burrito - with the added charge for NoName beef. They charged me extra and made up for it by putting very little beef inside. It was just OK. And, it was just the Grilled Burrito on a plate (that's it). Tacos - with NoName beef, these were only good because of the NoName beef, otherwise it was just a TON of "chili" powder and meat. The beans were out of a can, and the rice out of a box. I read most of the reviews and I agree with them about the service being disorganized and the many staff who were standing around looking clueless. "New Mexican"? What is that? I just wanted Mexican...

    (2)
  • Glenn G.

Some of the reviews above seem to be based more on a lack of knowledge about New Mexican food as opposed to straight Mexican food than anything else. New Mexican is different from Mexican. The reason the red or green chile sauce might taste a tad burnt is because the chiles are roasted by an open flame, thereby charring the peppers. The flavor is what you look for in a chile sauce. Those who have been to New Mexico and eaten the wonderful food out there are happy to have this place available. One of my two complaints is the refried beans. Simply said, they are awful. They are very spicy but are watery and don't have the great mouth feel of traditional refried beans. I think this can be traced to the lack of lard or other fat being used in making the beans. I understand a desire to make refried beans healthier, but in this case, refrieds with the texture of mashed turnips just doesn't work. Stick to the regular pintos or black beans with your meal. The other complaint, and I know they are working on it, is the corn tortillas. They are really heavy and dense, not the light as air variety that they should be. I know they are working on a new supplier for their tortillas and I hope they find one soon. My chicken enchilada was very tasty, but the doughy, heavy tortilla was almost too much.

This place has potential, but it needs some work, particularly in the service area. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't really good enough to go out of your way for. The concepts were great, but the execution was wonky. The staff (which there seemed to be way too many of) was sort of depressingly lethargic, as well. None of them had any hustle, and there were always a couple of waiters standing directly in the middle of the floor staring into space like they worked at a movie theater concession stand. It was hard to resist telling them to get back to work, or at least go loaf around in the back. We ordered two entrees, and both were weakly executed, late, and incorrect. We were offered some green chile apple pie to compensate, but it was bizarre. I thought it would be some creative touch of green chile, but it was sort of just what it says: a classic "grandma" style apple pie with green chiles added, and it worked about as well as that sounds like it would work. "Mmmm, pie! Dammit, tart spicy pepper. Wait, pie! And pepper again." The menu has some interesting concepts, and the place looks pretty cool, but it needs some discipline

I liked it! We got there at like, 5:30 and it was already packed with a 40 minute wait. Well, it was Saturday, so that makes sense. We were lucky enough to get 2 seats next to each other at the bar so we decided to forfeit our name on the wait list. I thought it was odd that I couldn't really see any tequilas behind the bar, and it turns out the only one they have is Sauza Gold. Now, I don't value my alcohol selection so much to lower the rating of the establishment, but it would be nice to be able to order a better tequila for an authentic margarita cocktail. I didn't try the margarita that they make since I don't really like sweet drinks, so I can't judge that. I got the chicken enchilada. It was pretty delicious. I ordered the "christmas" sauce, which is half green chile sauce and half red sauce. I honestly like the red enchilada sauce better, I thought it was really flavorful and tasted like home made. Maybe I just liked it cuz I was burned out on green chiles. I liked it and would go back. I'd be curious to know if their chips and some other items are gluten-free, since half my family is gluten intolerant. It's nice to find a (new) mexican restaurant that has gluten free chips. In all, the lack in variety of tequilas is really my only gripe.

We've been several times, and this place never fails to disappoint! The food is delicious and the salsa is amazing, but my favorite part is the dessert selection. Try the green chile apple pie, it's well worth it! Service is also excellent, which never hurts! Green Chile Kitchen is a family favorite.

I'm giving it 4 stars for Oklahoman New Mexican food. If you're used to authentic New Mexican food it would be 2/3 stars. But, it's by far the closest thing to authentic New Mexican food for 100's of miles around!

Great food. Uses chiles from hatch new mexico. Come hungry big portions. Great service. Parking can be a little problem. It is worth the trip and wait. I had the green chile queso with chips (great), then had a steak stuffed burrito christmas style and a cup (a bowl actually) of pork green chile stew. All topped of with iced tea. Great choices on the menu.

Not very good. The food was bland and the service was not great either. Way overpriced for the portions and quality of food. Honestly, Taco Bell is better, and that is pretty sad.

  • Susan D.

This was some of the worst Mexican food we've ever eaten in Oklahoma. The red sauce tasted burnt, our friend's taco shells were hard and stuck to the plate, and our burritoes didn't have much meat in them. What a disappointment! We would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This place serves a style of northern New Mexico cuisine like that you would find in Santa Fe. One comes to this place with an appreciation of that style of Mexican food. If you don't appreciate roasted Hatch green chiles then pack up and go to Taco Bell. Their red chile sauce is also authentic for New Mexico. Now I don't have to drive 8 hours to go eat at Maria's New Mexican Kitchen to get my favorite style of Mexican food. If you prefer boring Tex- Mex don't bother coming here.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque.
