Best pho broth in town! The only bad thing is they only accept cash. No credit cards but worth the trip. We had beef pho and orange chicken. So incredibly tasty. Reasonable prices and quick to get to you. Very attentive and hospitable. My kids love this Asian restaurant out of any in town and they are foodies :)

I had more meat in my Pho than one I had in Ha Noi. I want to try other menu items in next visit.

Stuck in Tulsa on a rainy day and was really hoping for a good bowl of Bun Bo Hue but was sorely disappointed. Far from being authentic, the broth tasted like a hybrid of pho, banh canh and a hint of Bun Bo Hue. And who uses tapioca noodle in Bun Bo Hue?! I also ordered the Vietnamese ice coffee, it tasted like engine oil. However I don't regret trying it out to support a nice local family. Just probably wouldn't eat it again. Price is cheap for decent portion. Quantity is definitely the key here because the place packed quite a crowd during lunch.

This is a gem! It is a hole in the wall -- mom and pop Asian place. The food is fantastic and flavorful. The variety is amazing. The waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable. Ask your waitress to help pick out your meal you will not be disappointed. I suggest the V-13 dry. It is a wonderful mix of noodles and meats. You control the favors with the sauces and broths provided. The place is cash only but is amazingly inexpensive.

Let me ask you a question. Do you want some excellent Pho? That's what I thought. Then go here! This is definitely one of those "hole-in-the-wall" gems of Tulsa. It's small, clean and the staff friendly. Note: Last time I was there if I remember correctly they only take cash so bring cash. Now about that Pho...it is fantastic! I haven't ordered anything else here so I can only speak of the Pho. Oh how lovely art thou Pho...ok maybe that was a little too Shakespearian but trust me this grub is good!

Came to from Tampa for a wedding and had to try the pho. The pho is good but it was missing the more exotic cuts such as tendon, tripe, ox hoof, etc. I would have given it a 5-star rating if the place had a larger variety of pho, in addition to the exotic meat.

For years Viet Huong was on my weekly rotation for lunch and I was never disappointed. Alas now I work a different area of Tulsa and don't have the time to drive there during lunch. The service has always been great and the food made fresh when ordered. I'm thinking I need to cheat and take longer than allowed for lunch and pop over and enjoy lunch here soon! Don't tell the boss...

Today I traveled a good distance from the hotel to check this place out. It was recommended it by a good friend that had seen reviews online and I too did some research to find it was the best rated Vietnamese place in Tulsa. To start off..I had to have a Cafe Sua Da or Vietnamese Coffee. Absolutely delicious and a reminder of my days living in Saigon. Once I was adequately buzzing with caffeine I continued to order some snacks of fried spring rolls as well as fresh spring rolls with fish sauce. Honestly, these were equal to if not better than those I had living in Vietnam. I was blown away. It is rare to find the quality of food in most US Vietnamese restaurants as you would find living there. This place is authentic and goes the distance to serve great food. No wonder the place was packed from the time we arrived to well after lunch. We also had the Pho Ga, and Bun Bo Hue which everyone loved. The Pho was a little different from that in South Vietnam because it had what looked like lettuce in it, however with all the bean sprouts, cilantro, and basil, and chili sauce it was just like it should have been...another mind blowing meal! The staff was nice enough but not all that friendly and engaging. I will be back!

Have to give such a low score because they only accept cash. That is such a bad business move, I mean there are even Squares you can use. Ridiculous and disappointed I had to leave.

Loved it! Clean, nice little place. Not super fancy, but great for a quick lunch. Didn't realize they don't accept credit cards, but the owner was cool about letting me pop to the ATM really quick. Now to the food. I had the duck soup, and my boyfriend had pho. We are pretty new to Vietnamese food, so I'm not sure about the true name for the duck soup. It was awesome! Very flavorful and fresh and the duck was tender and tasty. The server was so kind about letting us know what everything was and how to best eat it with the different sauces. I would definitely return.

Glad we stopped here bc its totally en route off the freeway to St Louis and a perfect lunch stop..yes its a hole in the wall and looked kinda scarey and dirty but once inside, its ok..its not the cleanest place but definitely not the dirtiest Asian restaurant we've been to..its a tad hot inside but the owners are nice enough. The place is small but the food comes out fast. We had the pho which is one of the best broths we've had and we have tried a lot of pho :) The meat is not as good but not bad and the noodles are chewy and nice. My bun was just ok. I think we are spoiled by Austin's Vietnamese fare bc otherwise I am sure their bun would be pretty good. Otherwise its just ok, not bad, not the best. We ordered crispy noodles and again not the best but edible. The restrooms were clean enough so that's good for travelers like us w/kids :) Just overall ok, not sure if we'll stop by again but worth a stop esp en route!

Pretty much the best Pho in Tulsa. This place is a destination for sure. Their bun cha gao is very good, but not the absolute best, IMO. Make sure you know the hours before you go; it's easy to end up sorely disappointed, and hungry, staring incredulously at the locked front door. Willing it to open. It won't. Also, they only take cash(I've talked them into taking a check before, but I think the only reason they let me, was that they'd never seen someone using a time machine before- that seemed to impress them). Some of the best Vietnamese food in Tulsa, and has been for years. Go. Now.

Best Vietnamese in Tulsa! The food is great, really fresh and flavorful. The portions are also generous and the price is cheap considering the size and quality of the food. Highly recommend the Vietnamese egg rolls. Make sure to mix in some chili sauce with the sauce they give you for the egg rolls. The waitress recommended we try it and it's really good. Remember to bring cash, they do not except cards or checks!

Pros: Better (by that I mean more authentic) than any of the other restaurants in town. I've tried every Viet place in Tulsa that is listed on Yelp and this is the best. The spring rolls are really fat, but made fresh to order. The egg rolls were not wrapped in the traditional rice paper, but the filling was still good. I get why all the restaurants in the area don't wrap in rice paper: when fried, the rolls are less attractive and have a tendency to explode; plus, most people don't know the difference. I knocked off a star. The fish sauce was good; not as sugary and diluted as the other area restaurants. The broth for the beef pho did not have as much MSG as other places. I couldn't taste any at all. To me, that's a good thing. My boyfriend loves MSG, so to him that's a bad thing. Guess it just depends on the person. I will not be going to any other Viet restaurant in town; I've found my go to place. Cons: far from my home and they don't take credit card.

Love this place! I eat here weekly as they easily have the best pho in town. And for you folks from the coast or texas I hate to break it to you but having eaten pho up and down the west coast as well as the gulf coast in my travels, Viet Huong has the best beef pho period. Mom and Ada are fantastic cooks and Marie makes sure everything runs smooth up front and Big Daddy Billy keeps everything between the ruts and the road. They are very accommodating in making things how you like them, just ask. The weekday lunch buffet is simple, good, and very reasonably priced.

Fast Service. I ordered the Large Pho. It was just alright. I would only go to this place again if someone I knew wanted to try it out.

We secretly envy the Vietnamese. Envy them for making the best food on the planet. If you've never been to Vietnam get on down to Viet Huong. Hidden between used car lots and donut shops, this gem awaits brave adventurers. The pho is incredible, steamed dumplings are a blessing, and their spring roles are fresh to death. Pro tip: if you dislike black liquorish taste then ask for everything without their basil. Also go with the spicy pho.

I'll write a short review on this one. One of the best restaraunt in Tulsa for the money imo. You're getting legit cuisine very reasonably. Even Chinese menu stuff is lots better than most Chinese places. Oh and I can't remember the servers name but she And her work attire will not disappoint...lol 4.5 stars

This place was good but I found the glowing reviews to be a little misleadingly. Ambiance- pretty much a hole-in-the-wall but clean. I went for lunch but definitely don't think the ambiance is fitting for dinner. Service- they were really friendly. I'm used to Houston or New York Vietnamese restaurants where everyone is relatively abrupt. They were really friendly here and were helpful when I asked questions about the menu. Food- good but nothing mind blowing or comparable to a Houston or SF Vietnamese restaurant. I will caveat this with a little disclaimer- I'm a vegetarian so perhaps the meat was mind blowing. I got the veggie wrap (I.e. tofu spring roll) and the veggie bun (yes, I was being a fatty for lunch). The vermicelli on both was really thick which was a little disappointing- I love the really fine vermicelli at most other spots. They gave me a fish sauce alternative for the bun which was oily soy sauce with something that looks like that canned fried onion stuff. I would like to be a snob about it but it was surprisingly pretty good and got some of that fish sauce sourness. Other than that everything was pretty good. I would definitely come back for lunch but wouldn't be writing home about my meal or anything.

Viet Huong is a family run Vietnamese restaurant that serves authentic Vietnamese and Chinese food at very reasonable prices. It's pretty much a hole in the wall in a not so great part of town but the food is so well worth the drive! And make sure to bring cash, no credit cards. They have a good lunch buffet, mostly Chinese, during the week. The service is always excellent and the food is always fresh!!! The aromatic food, whether Chinese or Vietnamese, is well spiced and tasty. Their Vietnamese specialty, like Spring-Rolls and Pho soup that is consistently hot, fresh, authentic, flavorful, and very, very delicious. Whether you are a newbie or a well seasoned Vietnamese cuisine aficionado, this place will greatly satisfy you. Bottom line: If you're craving fresh, tasty, healthy food and hot soup, make sure to run by the ATM and head to straight to Viet Huong! -When in Tulsa, it's a couple times a week for me...

First of all, this is a cash only establishment. So your debit cards are useless. I used to eat here a lot about two and a half years ago. The food was really good at the time. I moved to Arizona and was back in town for a few days and decided to stop in. The fried spring rolls were good. But I also ordered the B2 which is a vegetable noodle soup with tofu. The vegetables did not taste fresh, there were weird thick cuts of cabbage, and the broth tasted like water. Not very good at all. I probably wouldn't come back.

Service is good, but the food is moderate. I had the stir fried rice noodles with mixed meat and veggies. It needed more flavor. My boyfriend had the porkchop. The flavor was good but it was a very small portion.

Stopped off here on our cross country trip to Albuquerque. Did not expect to find such good Vietnamese food. The Vietnamese iced coffee was excellent along with my deluxe pork dish. My wife's wonton soup was really good as well.

Great Vietnamese! My wife had the stir fry dish with beef and chicken and I had the Bun Cha Gio (would definitely recommend). We both very much enjoyed our meal and went back later that same week. We will make this our 'go to' place for Vietnamese or Oriental food as they also have a full menu of Chinese dishes. On my next visit I will try the Pho (beef soup), I heard other say it was very good. This is a family owned and ran restaurant, Dad and 1 daughter work the front (take orders, server, etc) and the Mom and other daughter work mostly in the back preparing dishes. I believe they have been in the location for many year, possibly 20. I've noticed it before, made a mental note to try it but never got around to until this week. Service is great and food is terrific!

The pho is so good!! And the staff is so friendly and attentive. Cash only is a bummer since I usually only have my debit card for purchases but it's worth a stop by the bank!

The food was decent but nothing I would go back for. They definitely need better service! Our waitress was dressed inappropriately with her cleavage showing and short mini skirt on. I have gone once and will not be recommending it to my friends.

Ok hangover, check....... Spicy Pho with summer rools to boot!!!!! Priceless!!! I'm not an expert by any means but I have reciently taken an intense infatuation to Pho. This being said, this was the first time that I had quail eggs in it and that put them at the top of the heat. Now, remember the hangover part, well the "I waaannnttt iiiit sssppppniiiiccccyyyyy" hungover version equates to the perfect amount to clear sences and head.

This hole in the wall restaurant is a real gem. As a Vietnamese person, I can tell you that the food is authentic and the service is great...and the price is eye popping surprisingly affordable. Highly recommend this place!

This place is pretty great if one compares it to any other vietnamese restaurant in Tulsa. Keep in mind that if you are from Cali or Texas, than this restaurant is not going to be make your taste buds go wild, but this is one of the best HERE. I am Currently on a vegetarian diet and this place has a nice section of vegetarian entrees. My sister loves the wonton noodles here so we came here mainly for that occassion. Overall, authentic, tasty, and reasonably priced!

If you walk up to the door at 7:45, they will come running over and turn off the open sign light and refuse to let you in, even though the sign on the door says 8. Pho to go just doesn't have the same appeal.

Spoken from someone who is Vietnames and grew up eating that and Chinese food, I was not impressed. Vietnamese food is suppose to be light, fresh and earthy, all of which our dinner was not. The authenticity was seriously lacking. I think the chef is catering more towards the American palette. Other than the fish sauce, there was nothing traditional about our dishes.

A solid place to get pho, which must be challenging in Tulsa. Recommended by a friend, we drove up for lunch today. The building is non descript, bland, standard 70s building, and the interior is fairly bleak. The waitress promptly gave us menus and a little photobook, to help the newbie diner identify the foods on the menu. Very cute. I ordered the beef and pork pho, and others ordered the standard beef pho. I also ordered the Thai iced tea which has that lovely orange/brown, condensed milk sweet taste. The traditional sides of lime, cilantro and Thai basil were served on the side, which we plopped into our soup. The pork/beef pho came with thicker noodles think thick spaghetti. The beef pho came with the more traditional, thin pho rice noodles. The beef was OK, a bit fatty and lacked that fresh pinkish beef color. The pork looked a bit like bologne or a processed pork round that was sliced into the soup - so lost points on quality of ingredients. Overall, a good value for lunch, each pho ran about $5-6. Nice place for pho but probably wouldn't be my first choice for a nice atmospheric lunch. I also find it a bit funny when an 'asian' restaurant has to pander to the mass 'chinese' menu audience, as if to say, you came in for Vietnamese, but since you have no idea what that really means, you can order fried rice with sweet and sour pork.

I was in Tulsa last week for a job interview and was in the mood for something filling. I did a search here and other sites and came up with Viet Huong. It's a hole in the wall which usually are the types that have good food and I wasn't disappointed. I had the Teriyaki Grilled Chicken & Beef Pho Soup. The chicken was excellent, I liked how they had onions on the skewer as well. The soup was very good. It wasn't the best that I've had in places in NYC or Virginia but it had good flavor and they did give plenty of lime, beans to put into it. I can't complain about how the waitress was dressed. Only because I'd been up all day on connecting flights. She served me quick and with a smile, checked up on if I needed anything and asking how it was so for me her service was spot on. If I get the job there then I know I will be going here 1 - 2 times a week

Pretty much the only place in Tulsa to get a decent bowl of pho. There's a handful of other Vietnamese places but this is the only one I go to.

I had about given up trying to find non-chain restaurants in Tulsa that served good, inexpensive food. Viet Huong was a great find and I will be back several more times before my business is concluded here in OK. I had a bowl of wonton soup with pork, noodles, wontons, veggies and the usual Vietnamese add-ins (cilantro, mint, bean sprouts). Add in a bit of hot chili sauce and get after it! The restaurant is kind of small and in a somewhat run down strip mall, but don't let that put you off. Longer hours would be beneficial as they close at 8:00 pm. However, it was worth the drive from downtown. This place is great!!

  • Emmie L.

To be honest, the reason as to why this deserved only 2 instead of a a star is due to the fact that the wonton noodle soup was substandard, not terrible. That being said, the waitress's attitude turned me off! She wore incredibly revealing clothes given the stormy weather raging outside - of course, to attract the male customers, but it certainly distracted me from enjoying my meal, as I grew increasingly disgusted instead. Her comments were also directed towards my dad just about 95% of the time, but too bad girl, he wasn't even that nice to you. To make matters worse, 3 Viets walked in, and I am ashamed to have them be the same ethnicity as I am! They came in laughing boisterously and making a commotion, and clearly disrespected the other guests by doing so. I also witnessed a slight hint of racism as two white teenager girls kept rudely mocking the Vietnamese accents and culture - even though they were AT a vietnamese restaurant. All of them combined give us a bad reputation, and the atmosphere in general was just very uncomfortable and unnerving - I'd much rather have a pure and peaceful environment to eat in peace. Eating at this particular restaurant made me truly yearn for food back in San Jose, California-and no, I'm not just saying that because I'm from a diverse area in Cali where they have some pretty good restaurants. I say, save your time for a decent Asian restaurant with appropriate service in OK - hopefully there are still some around. I'm sure there are other places that will cater to your needs! Do your taste buds and decency a favor, try another restaurant. Even if that means you have to drive to Texas.

Today I was treated the the very best Vietnamese and Chinese food in town! The sweet and sour chicken is something the kids will love and the sauce is not like any sweet and sour sauce you will have any where else! It tastes like it has lemon juice in it or something, either way it's tangy and delicious. They even have a specialized kids meal for kids. It's only one entree but it is good. Their eggrolls are truly the very best in town, crispy outside and tasty inside! But I have saved the very best for last. If your ever any where near 21st street, try cafe Viet Huong for the Orange Chicken. Seasoned with soy and a bit of sesame as well, this delicious dish melts in your mouth. Each crispy tiny piece of chicken is floured and fryed lightly with dried orange peel and served with its sauce over a bed of rice and sprinkled with sesame! It's always crowded. It's always busy. There is a REASON! It's the best food in town and worth the wait for a table. They also do take out and you can get it to go and take it with you. Try a mix of heavenly flavours as exotic and delicious of an experience as you will ever have in Tulsa and all the people who work there are sweet, good natured, good humoured, and always laughing. It's a great place!

Nice find in Tulsa! A small, easy to overlook location but the food here is great! I stopped in for a bowl of pho and was not dissapointed. They do close a bit early though - 8pm. Just plan accordingly. The staff here is really nice and provides the type of service you expect at an everyday noodle place. They offer both traditional Vietnamese food and Americanized-Chinese favorites.

For what it is it's definitely 5 stars. The location and environment are not going to win them any awards, but that's not why you are eating at Viet Huong now is it. Pho is incredible and the people are super nice. Very efficient carry out as well.
