Such a consistently great place! There is a reason it's always packed. If you've not been, get there!!

Stonehorse has an excellent selection of high quality dishes to choose from. Go for their lunch, opens at 11am and not a minute before! They start you off with freshly baked breads and have delicious coffee and cocktails to start your day off smoothly. Their menu works well for vegetarians and meat eaters, they're flexible and have options. Also, order appetizers, I suggest the guacamole or French fries

Amazing....canNOT believe we don't come here more often!! Started with a cocktail (see photo) then moved to their chilled Carrot/Ginger soup....it was summer in a wine glass! My husband ordered the pork rib chop (medium) it was on a bed of white bean panzanella-and crusted with horseradish & garlic! Absolutely amazing. I ordered the Nicoise with crab meat-simply the best ever. Our waitress (Jasmine) was both attentive & personable:) We will return sooner, not later!

A nice, trendy restaurant. We have wanted to try this place for a long time. My lady had the white pizza. I had the chili sausage with an avocado salad. Our food was excellent and the service was very good. We arrived at 11:30 and by 12 the place was packed. They have many interesting menu items and we look forward to returning to try more selections.

Burger. Get the burger, you won't be disappointed. This thing was huge and amazing! I did oder a lobster bisque and was at first a bit upset it didn't ever make it to the table but then dove into the burger and had a hard time finishing it due to its size. The service was a bit slow but other than that a great place for dinner!

Most delicious food in Utica Square. The value is excellent and quality is spectacular.

I got the lobster bisque and split a white pizza with my company. Guys, real talk...the lobster bisque is the truth. They put a spice in it that will kick you in the back of the throat, and I love it. The flavor is robust and damn near heavenly. The white pizza was good and had real large chunks of chicken in it. Most places usually skimp you a little on the meat, but they are not in this business to skip out on anyone. The spinach they use is awesome, but I would have preferred less onion. The crust, the crust, the crust. All I've got to say is: "damn girl". That was some good dough they used. Great job, crew. I truly enjoyed it and would not mind making a return trip!

Stonehorse totally reminds me of a California restaurant. The ambiance is cozy, dim and tightly packed.... which I love. It's almost always really busy and lively which makes for a fun night out. You can get dressed up if you like but you won't feel out of place if you don't. The food is yummy New American. It's refined but not overly so. I wish they changed their menu a little more with the seasons and I wish they had more veggie options but it's still yummy as is. My favorite is the shaved brussels sprout salad - it's delicious and never overly dressed. Just perfect. Also the service is great! We had a 20 minute wait and left them with our number to call us when a table opened up. I guess there was a mix up with our number and we never got a call back. When we came back to the restaurant to check, they expedited us to a table and offered us a free appetizer for the confusion. That was a great gesture and totally made up for any disappointment we had when going into the meal.

Modern decor, full for lunch by 11:45 during the week. Okay staff, burger and fries. Good French bread and butter. The burger was okay, but didn't like the hard bits in the meat. The bottom bun totally disintegrated within 2 minutes. Fries real potatoes, cooked a little too done with sea salt. I noticed everyone had wine or cocktails, I think that might be part of the reason the customers looked happy. Most customers were very expensively dressed

First off, JC is a great bartender and fun to talk to. We started with the onion rings for an appetizer and then I had the pistachio encrusted halibut and roasted cauliflower which were both amazing. Definitely add this as a favorite when in Tulsa.

I am just not a fan of pretentious eating establishment based solely on being pretentious. It seems Stonehorse has built a reputation and they work extremely hard in keeping up the reputation rather than living up to it. On a day that was not busy, was asked if I had a reservation, still made to wait by Hostess that seemed well trained in acting as if the place was entirely too good for most people and worthy of a 15 minute wait. The server was professional and friendly but, again, acted as if she was waiting 8 or 9 tables, instead of the 3 she was actually waiting on. The Pizza was pretty good but, very small for the price. We ordered the Cheese Plate as a waitress recommended appetizer. Let me just say, overpriced and nothing special. We absolutely adore great food, we even like pretentiousness when it is lived up to by the dining experience. It seems, especially in Tulsa, too many Restaurants are focused on creating an air of pretentiousness without building the actual exclusivity that makes such a reputation deserved.

Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. Their tres leches is by far the best I have ever had.

3.5 Not cheap for Tulsa. But, the atmosphere is very nice, and the qualify of food is up to par. Only thing I would say is that the pizzas are not that great (lots of cheese and salty. Not enough pineapple on the Hawaiian either). But the pork chop was delicious (and reasonably priced)! Pasta was nicely al dente. Crab cakes were substantial (no annoying filler/stuffing) but over fried. And sticky toffee pudding was to die for. Service was very good too, from the hostess to the bartender (we ended up sitting at the bar because all tables were full). Overall, if you're in the area, I would give this place a try.

I look forward to business trips in Tulsa as I know I'll get to make a stop at one of their many great dining spots, and this one is right at the top of my list. The dim lighting and cozy vibe make it worth the wait and if you're dining solo the bar is the way to go. The Nicoise Salad is one of the best I've come across and although I don't eat red meat, I've been told their meatloaf is fantastic as well.

Not sure why the guy earlier thought having to wait 15 minutes for a table made this place pretentious, but that wasn't my experience at all. We had a 10 minute wait on a busy night, so we just left our cell number and popped into their market in the meantime. Both the market and cafe are lovely! Got seated right on time and everything was excellent. Started with the crab cakes; the mango ketchup that came with this dish is soooo good. I had the lamb chops and my boy got tenderloin (topped with goat cheese). My mouth is watering again just thinking about both of those dishes! Our server Marie helped us pick out a bottle of wine that paired really well with both. Finished with the tres leches cake which is one of the greatest things I've ever had! We definitely don't have the budget to eat here every day, but we had a great experience and felt totally welcome in our jeans and sneakers on a hoppin' weekend night, so this is becoming our go-to splurge place.

We were only there for dessert and drinks, but the creme brûlée topping tasted burned. Atmosphere and drinks were fine.

Great bar! Super friendly. There was a wait, but we were able to be taken care of in the bar area right away. I love the atmosphere, huge windows, lots of people watching. Located in gorgeous Utica Square so you can't go wrong. We will be back for food with a full review, don't have time this go around!

So, last night was awesome. You know when you're so excited about something and having so much fun you don't have an appetite? Yup. It was one of those nights -which made for a hungry, hungry Buffalo Sarah this morning. Julie, Aimee, and I decided to feast on a Stonehorse brunch and it could. not. have. been. better! Jeeze o'pete! Our happy and kind waitress kept my delicious cup of coffee full and was so helpful when explaining questions we had about the menu. The space is unique with a beautiful patio that is prime for people watching in Utica Square. Inside has a mixture of table seating and booths with eclectic art. The Andy Warhol-like painting of a dog inspired me to maybe do that with Olof one day... All three of us ordered an omelette...If you have read my past reviews, you know how I love my omelettes! It was a jaw-dropping oh my goodness gracious moment when they arrived. You guys... this is my favorite omelette I have had in Tulsa! Fluffy egg-whites with fillings like spinach and goat cheese? Accompanied by seasoned fresh breakfast potatoes?! Every bite was perfect and I can't wait to go again. I was close to licking the plate.

We popped in here for brunch last week while in Tulsa on official Yelp business. Which of course means we were in Tulsa to throw a party. The next morning, we needed food, and this menu fit the bill perfectly. The coffee was delicious and they kept it coming. We each ordered variations on the omelets from the menu - which our server had no problem doing. The three egg omelet (or egg white if you please) was fluffy and full of fixin's, which in my case was ham, cheese, 'shrooms and tomatoes. The ambience is fun: busy people power lunching while smooth servers with white linen aprons take care of every need. A man next to me ordered a thick, juicy steak at 11:30 in the morning. It came out steaming hot and it smelled so good I seriously almost asked him if I could try a bite. And, this being Tulsa, I bet he would have obliged. After looking at the pizza, dinner, wine and desserts, I can't wait to come back and try dinner. I think I'll try the steak.

An amazing restaurant and a great staff. The chefs here are consistently putting out delicious meals. One of my favorite things is the risotto. Occasionally I'll order it when it's not on the menu and they whip it up for me. There's a waitress named Aubrey who is lovely and has the best recommendations. Stone horse is one of my all time favorite restaurants, not just in Tulsa, but all around

  • Whitney G.

Easily my wife and I's favorite restaurant in Tulsa. The service is friendly and the menu is always interesting. A few favs: Eggs Benedict - don't find it on the menu often but I always order it when I do. It's so good. Spaghetti & meatballs - a classic, but oh so good. Cancun Style Shrimp Cocktail - this is simply to die for.

  • Johnny S.

Had Tim's pick for lunch Green curry & coconut milk with kosher chicken, green beans , potato, cauliflower, basil. Cilantro, white rice We also had the corn chowder and Spinach raviolis...both were fabulous. The service was excellent!

Holy Christ the portions are big. Really loved the food. Really wished the server had told us there was half portions available before she dropped the check. Went for lunch on a recommendation from local friends. We live in Vegas and had no idea what to expect. (should've checked Yelp ;P) Ordered an app and entrée each. Delicious and great if we lived in Tulsa but half went to waste as we couldn't come close to finishing.

This place is hoppin' with a good looking Tulsa crowd. Lunch or dinner. Great for coffees and brunch/lunch. Cozy little bar that regulars migrate to in the late afternoons. The wine and cocktail list is good enough. Just had the dinner special. $25 Hazelnut crusted trout, arugula, and green beans drizzled with a lemon sauce that was pretty darn tasty. I keep coming back so you probably will, too.

One of my all time favorite restaurants on the planet. I travel to Tulsa quite a bit and always make it a point to eat at the Stonehorse Cafe. I love the Crab Niçoise Salad (I order it with no onions, easy on the dressing, and potato free) but everything is great here. The service is spot on and they have an excellent wine list!

4.5*, but I'm bumping it. Love: Santa Fe steak salad, pan-seared Idaho trout, Beef stroganoff, braised chicken & ravioli. Bread & desserts are great. Love the market--frozen choc/ chip cookies (just $3.60 / 6) FTW! Beware the garden salads (add meat)--as they can be exorbitant on the bill. Bartender is extremely friendly. Service is usually pretty good. It's noisy in here, they fill up the tiny space on the weekends. Come, see & be seen. You'll encounter an ecclectic mix, to say the least. Highly recommended.

Have always loved this restaurant, and I'm a frequent customer of their market next door. Had a guest in from out of State and chose to have dinner here. While we ate rather lightly, it was perfect. As you may know, when you place your order you are given a basket with 3 types of fresh bread. I had my fav Blue Salad, my guest the tomato and cucumber. Both in their own vinaigrette. We each chose crab cakes with the mango sauce. (2 per plate.. A perfect serving) So yummy!!! Seemed to catch just a hint of flavor of pepper in the mango sauce..left you wanting more!! Also ordered a (large) side of perfectly steamed broccoli that came with a side of bernaise sauce. NOTE...this is not a classic Bernaise, but an "interpretation" and still a fine accompaniment. Dessert was creme brûlée and Champagne strawberry trifle. Both delicious!!!! Bar always makes great cocktails. My guest is STILL talking about how great the food was!! Wait Staff was attentive and generous with the particular bread my guest enjoyed. Floor Manager checked in 3 times as well. Another lovely evening. Great food. Great Service. Look forward to returning!!!

I have been numerous times but visited this place the other day and can't tell you how amazed I was by the service! The food is a give in, to say it was superb but when you have great service it makes going so much better. Comfortable atmosphere. You NEEDS to try the creme brûlée!

My husband and I went the day before Valentine's Day and we didn't have any reservations. Even with them really busy they let us in. Service was great and the food was superb. I would love to go back. It is a very dressy up kind of place, so wear something nice. The food is a bit pricy but not bad.

Stonehorse is a great neighborhood café and probably has one of the most dedicated "regular" followings of any restaurant in Tulsa. I particularly frequent this place for lunch and Saturday brunch. The crab cakes and tomato bisque are some of my favorite dishes - the crab cakes are smaller, lightly fried, filled with delicious lump crap and are served on top of a honey mustard-like sauce and mixed greens. Although menu items can tend to be high relative to other local restaurants, it is hard to beat the $10 mimosa carafes on Saturdays - My husband and I have drank away many Saturday afternoons because of them! The space itself is rather small but quaint and can be loud during weekday lunches, but it is still a popular place for both casual and business meetings. The homemade breads served with meals are delicious, so do sample them! For days when you don't want to join the crowds in the dining room, Stonehorse also has a market next door where you can pick up fresh breads, local cheeses, frozen entrees and soups to take back and eat at home. **Note: Brunch is served on Saturday ONLY. Closed on Sundays.

Stonehorse Cafe will give you seriously anxiety: with so many tasty looking options, I didn't think I would ever be able to make a decision! I ended up ordering The Hawaiian pizza and as my waitress walked away, I spotted at another table the most amazing looking glass filled with guacamole and homemade chips. I'VE MADE A HUGE MISTAKE!!! However, I didn't. My pizza was INCREDIBLE. It didn't take all that long to come out despite being clearly made to order, but it was really really good. It was a bit oily, but the gooey melty cheese with pesto was perfection and the pineapple seemed freshly cut versus the typical soggy, canned pineapple that is on pizza. I did think the ham was a bit overcooked, but I don't typically eat meat anyway so that might just be me. I am so sad that I couldn't eat the whole pizza during lunch. I tragically lost the rest of it as drunk food to my husband. The pizzas are almost too big for personal size, but not quite big enough to share. I think the winning move here is to order salads and then share the pizza with a friend... if you have enough self-control to be able to share such deliciousness. While Stonehorse had probably the most expensive menu overall compared to the other places I tried in Utica Square for lunch (Queenie's and Wild Fork), the pizzas were a steal and a bit cheaper than the rest of the menu for only $12. I would definitely eat here again for lunch, but I would be a bit worried about coming here for dinner. The inside is TINY. We arrived for lunch closer to 1:30 and were able to be seated right away, but I could see this being a long wait on a busy day.

Yum! Fantastic food! Everything my boyfriend and I ordered for lunch was amazing - we licked the plate clean! Portions were just right. The restaurant is nice (as in not super casual) inside and service was good. Definitely makes for a cute date. It's a little on the pricier side of "$$" from what I can remember but well worth it.

Such a dorbs quaint little place! Yes, I did just say dorbs and I'm not taking it back. They have outside seating and we decided it would be nice to grab a coffee and dessert in utica square. Stonehorse Cafe has a few tables outside but one was particularly inviting because it was in the sunshine! Anyway, this place has wonderful meals but their Apple Spice cake was very fantastic. You should also check out the picture because it's beautiful... just sayin. and the creme brulee was pretty yummy as well. I very much enjoy this lovely little cafe, and certainly plan on coming here again :)

For Tulsa and it's ilk, it's lovely. If you've been anywhere else in the world, it's adequate. Seriously, I want to really like this place. I want to believe it's better than it really is (and frankly, it's good). What bothers me the most is the lack of attentive service. Somewhere in Stonehorse language land, the phrase "I'm not in a rush" gets translated to "I'm going to ignore you at all costs". It's part of the Oklahoma phenomenon that either rushes you through a meal or completely ignores you. There's a nice medium people!

EXCELLENCE ON A PLATE. I have been here half a dozen times. The wait staff is great, the items on the menu are awesome. I even ate Brussels sprouts for the first time in 10 years as they are simply outstanding. The food is rich and delicious and as fresh as can be. Give it a shot!

Tulsa's best kept secret. Stone Horse is a little cafe in Utica Square. There's even a little Stone Horse market next door that sells a few specialty items, meats, and gourmet items. The cafe is across from the Saks Fifth Avenue department store. I lived in Tulsa for two years and ate at a lot of places during my stay. This place is my favorite, hands down. They use the FRESHEST ingredients and you can really tell when you taste the food. I think their menu changes all the time, though (depending on what's in season, I assume?). I had their mussels once and it tasted really fresh and different than any mussels I'd had before -- and the shells were very thin, too. The waitress told me they were flown in fresh from the Pacific northwest. The pasta was also very perfect -- also made fresh in house. Overall, every time I came to Stone Horse it was a pleasant dining experience and the food was always good. If you're ever at Utica Square or want a nice place for lunch with a friend, Stone Horse Cafe is the place to go! I'll definitely stop by for a bite the next time I visit Tulsa :)

On my last day in Tulsa, I decided to check out the Utica Square area. Was pleasantly surprised at the cute and upscale area. Stonehorse Cafe had great reviews so I decided to give it a try. Glad I did. The lobster bisque was a perfect way to start out the meal. Wish I had ordered a big bowl instead. Crabcakes looked so good on someone else's table that I had to get a plate for myself. Again, glad I did. The waitress recommended the grilled cauliflower and I couldn't resist. Portions were pretty descent. I was so full I didn't get to try the desserts. Guess I will save that for next visit.

The complimentary bread, on its own, is worth the trip. everything I have tried on their dinner menu has been divine. I'll start with dessert... the bread pudding is massive and is easily a dessert for 2-3 people. If you even have the slightest interest in bread pudding, order it!! It is the second best bread pudding I've ever had (the first is the snickers bread pudding at Hash House a go go in San Diego). I really enjoyed the artisan cheese plate. The plate included three types of cheeses, jams/chutney and nuts. The flavor pairings were very interesting. One of the cheeses was a little too pungent for me on it's own, but was wonderful with the chutney. The pork chop and salmon are both wonderful. I can't wait to go back and try more.

While visiting Tulsa, we ate a solidly good meal at Stonehorse Cafe. My husband ordered the caesar salad pizza. It was extremely garlicky (as the waitress indicated it would be) and delicious. I had a grilled steak atop a bed of french fries, topped with local cherry tomatoes and heaps of fragrant basil. The steak was perfect, and the fries were the optimal mix of crunchy and soft. On top of it all, we were able to sit outside with our dog, and the hostess even brought her a bowl of water before we could request it. The only thing that kept this meal from getting five stars was the high price and lack of inventiveness. Go to Stonehorse Cafe for an expensive, but dependably good meal.

I'm from out of town, but I've been here a few times recently when visiting family. This appears to be one of the better restaurants in Tulsa--one reason some of the food is, well, surprising. It's not that it's badly done. It's just strange--i.e., gigantic portions (why is that necessary? I suppose it's in the customer's favor, unless she's on a diet), and odd additives to things that might be perfectly well left to themselves. For example: shaved brussels sprouts salad, which I was expecting to be, well, not sweet. Sweet seems to be a theme (and not a good one)--even in the best restaurants in Tulsa. Similarly, a carrot ginger soup was, again, sweet, apparently with added honey. Why? What I thought would be a simple caprese salad--i.e., fresh mozzarella, tomatos, basil and--I thought--a simple olive oil and lemon juice dressing. But pesto slathered around this otherwise lovely dish didn't exactly RUIN it for me since it could be pushed to the side, but it seemed entirely gratuitous. Oh, one more thing--surprisingly good cocktails: the best I've had at a restaurant in Tulsa thus far. Not sure $9 is ok for a cocktail at a restaurant in Tulsa (this is more what I would expect at a regular--although not super high end--restaurant in NYC), but I understand that Utica Sq is expensive (though far less than it is in NY). Overall: I'd go back. Best food I've had at a proper restaurant in Tulsa (excluding take-out from a few select places) thus far, if one can sidestep the sweet additives (which appear in the most unexpected--and unwelcome--places).

Stop what you're doing and book a flight/plan a drive to Utica Square in Tulsa to dine here for weekend brunch. Yes, seriously. There are so many fabulous-sounding items on the menu that all of us girls decided to throw caution (and any diet) to the wind and simply order whatever sounded appealing, regardless of potential for leftovers. That approach resulted in each of us selecting two items to accompany our three carafes of mimosas (which are outstanding, and at only $10 a pop, can't be beat for a weekend brunch!). I adore mussels... I will order them anywhere and everywhere that has them. The mussels at Stonehorse are by far the BEST mussels I have ever eaten (color me impressed to find them in Tulsa). Several were absolutely enormous, and all were cooked to perfection. The broth was heavenly - a precise blend of garlic, herbs, wine, and a touch of butter (and if the "touch" isn't enough, you get a bonus dipping saucer with more melted butter that you may use as you see fit). Me and cold smoked salmon are like peas and carrots, so my second menu selection was incredibly easy. At first, I thought the $12 price tag on this plate was a little high, but upon being served a plate of 3-4 gorgeous (and fairly thick) slices of cold smoked salmon with capers, cream cheese, a croissant, a deviled egg sliced in half, and pickled onions, I was pleased with the clear value. I don't believe any of the crab cake servings on the table survived our brunch, and the melt-in-your-mouth salad with pears (can't remember the name!) never had a chance. I'm sad that we didn't have the opportunity to try the shrimp and lobster bisque that our waitress accidentally teased us with as one of the soup of the day selections (in lieu of the actual potato soup option), so we'll save that for next time. Service was fantastic - our waitress was super fun and friendly, and graciously helped us really make it a girls' brunch to remember.

We had sort of a lunchish meal here - in between lunch and dinner. Have to say - even though I felt like they were trying to be too over the top with their "eclecticness" if you will (art, decor), they definitely lived up to their name with the food. We got there when there was a wait, so the hostess took our cell number and told us to walk around the Utica shops and she would call us. I thought that was kind of cool. Everything from the salad, to the guacamole, to the simple fish plate, to the pizza's - nobody had a complaint (and that was rare for our crowd), and we left happy and full. The service was great too - fast, friendly, and super professional. Took away one star for the big "NO GUNS ALLOWED" sign on the front door. I mean, way to invite criminals in? Probably wouldn't eat there again, but thoroughly enjoyed it. :-)

Love this place! My 2nd trip here in 2 years and I'm still I'm impressed. Deli roast beef sandwich which isn't just some deli sandwich it has sweet caramelized onions, horseradish schmear on thick toasted whole wheat bread. Served with their "Blue salad" that's scrumptious with plentiful walnuts, blue cheese and dressing is light and just right. Hubby got the yummy soup du jour and wasn't disappointed!

My boyfriend and I went to the Stonehorse Cafe for my birthday dinner and were incredibly disappointed. We're not picky people, and we enjoy eating out often at different restaurants around town, but the Stonehorse Cafe is one of the worst restaurants I've ever had the displeasure of eating at in Tulsa. Our waitstaff asked us if we wanted to start off with salads so we ordered Caesar salad, but what she brought out was something covered in vinaigrette and something resembling fermented red pepper. My boyfriend ordered the Crusted Colorado Lamb, and it had two ribs which were 70% blubber with no flavor whatsoever. It also included a "lamb sausage" which in his words "tasted worse than the cafeteria food from elementary school." After taking a second bite of it he almost gagged at the taste of the sausage. No joke. The beans were a chore to eat. I ordered the salmon which wasn't bad(how can you really mess up salmon though), but wasn't spectacular and definitely not worth the price. The scallops were delicious though I will admit. For dessert we had blackberry cobbler that came with a flower garnished on top. We ate the flower which tasted better than every item that came on the lamb dish. Many people online have complained about the service of this restaurant, but we found the servers and waitstaff to be very pleasant and helpful as well as knowledgeable about the menu.

We stopped by Stonehorse on a beautiful Saturday afternoon looking for a cocktail and a snack. While the patio was already booked for dinner they sat us outside anyway just saying the table was reserved starting at 7pm. It was only 4:30 so we had plenty of time! We enjoyed the crab cakes which were full of big lumps of crab and served with an unexpected citrus sauce that had a hint of nutmeg, giving it a rustic autumnal taste. We also tried a side of the shrimp risotto which was rich, packed with flavor and perfectly al dente. To drink we had a local beer and a Pinot Gris. They have a great wine list with a wide selection of price and quality and we were happy to see local beer on the menu. It was a lovely way to spend an hour in between shopping and running errands on a Saturday!

I stopped here while passing through Tulsa, OK, on a road trip since it received good Yelp reviews and I'm glad I did. The cafe is located in a nice, chic outdoor shopping mall area and a good part of town. The cafe itself looks modern and somewhat fine-dining. The service was excellent as you would expect from this caliber of an establishment. I bought a beef tenderloin dish that came on potato gnocchi, creme fraiche, and mushrooms.. super good! The beef was cooked perfectly. For dessert, I ordered creme brulee. I read great things about their bread budding but didn't want to wait 20 minutes for it to be made and the bartender told me it was pretty huge. Unfortunately, the creme brulee was soupy and the raspberries that were on top were halfway submerged in the custard. Definitely not what you'd expect with a creme brulee! Anyway, I still ate it and it tasted good (the vanilla bean really came though) but they probably shouldn't have brought it out with the fact it hadn't even remotely set up and looked the way it did. It was very obvious and looked really bad but, like I said, still tasted good.

This is the best gourmet shop in Tulsa. The bread is astonishingly good, the beef is of the highest quality, their cheeses have yet to disappoint me and their prepared foods are literally the same dishes served ten feet away in the cafe. In fact, the meat is so good I'm going to talk about it again. Think of the best steak you've found in a market in Tulsa. Shop here once and it will be the second-best. That's just how the meat is here. No, you will not be walking away with three pounds of rib steak for twenty dollars, but once you taste what a rib steak should be you'll never want to again. Shop here. Your wallet will cry and your pants won't fit anymore, but I assure you it's all worthwhile.

This place desperately needs a new bartender and some training for their wait staff. The food is generally very good except during events at Utica Square when they feel they have a captive audience and they can totally ignore the quality and berate the customers. I had already previously fired them for their food and take out process, but returned recently for a drink at the bar. Now they are completely fired. I am sorry to write this Tim, but you have let the place go.

Stonehorse is without a doubt the best mid to fine dining restaurant in Tulsa. The food never disappoints. Crab cakes, mussels, truck-stop meatloaf, salmon with tomato chutney -- it's all delicious. I just really wish they'd bring back the salad they had with the tamales at lunch some days. Their french onion soup is to die for as is the butternut squash bisque (when in season). The waitstaff is great and very friendly & attentive. Bartenders know their stuff, are friendly & happy to serve as well. I have never been disappointed in a meal I've had at Stonehorse and I dine there pretty frequently. The other great thing about Stonehorse is the attached market -- if I don't have time to cook dinner, I'll pop in there and grab one of their pre-cooked meals which taste just as delicious as eating in the restaurant itself.

Had a quick business lunch here today and I just wanted to write a quick review to say how excellent it was. The only reason it didn't get a 5 star from me is the seating (it's really claustrophobic) in here with the seating crammed together. The food was great, wait staff and hosts very attentive, kind and classy. The menu is short but has a lot of variety and good selection. I had the Ceaser salad pizza, an excellent dish with basically a ceaser piled on top of a cheese pizza. The pizza was large and I couldn't finish myself, I would suggest sharing. It was cook crispy and the salad was unique for a ceaser with nuts but it had great flavor and texture, on top of the warm cheese which was flavorful it was a great combination. My friend had a walnut, blue cheese, blueberry salad and tortilla soup. The soup was excellent she said, with an option of toppings which the waitress asked if she wanted or wanted omitted. She also said the salad was very good, expect it had way too much blue cheese. When she was done eating the salad part there was basically a bowl full of blue cheese left over. Now I love the stuff and eat it plain but it still looked liked way to much. Wish I was in Tulsa more often to have a dinner here but it was great and I know my friend will be returning.

Get an omelet the Tim style. Trust me. The husband and I love going here for brunch, and we take all visitors there as well. Piece of advice--get there early because the line starts forming fast. Also, if you're looking to take something home, go to their market next door and pick up some lamb shank and potato bread. It makes for a great dinner for two for not too bad of a price. They serve dinner as well, but we're not as impressed with the selection. It has a really romantic atmosphere though.

Fantastic place to eat! Tim is the best in Tulsa. Don't miss the market next door if you are a foodie- they have lots of great ingredients and prepared foods right from the restaurant. Emily will help get together ANYTHING you could possibly want, she is great!

Stonehorse Cafe is definitely one of the better restaurants in Tulsa. The food is simple, fresh, and cooked right. They aren't on the cutting edge but the is tasty. Good enough for me to come back again and sometimes crave.

I had another fantastic meal at Stonehorse last week! The food just keeps getting better and better. The mussels were once again fabulous, and the broth that is seasoned w/fresh garlic will certainly keep the vampires away. There must've been 16 cloves in there :) What we ordered: the duck w/shrimp risotto (cooked med rare and just perfect and juicy), the onion soup was the BEST i've ever had. The provolone cheese melts over the bowl with a crispy and slightly crunch...ahh...perfect. We also ordered the pork chops that came w/gnocci and brussel sprouts. All I have to say, is "more pork please". The food came out super HOT and filled w/aroma. Can you get any better than this?

My favorite food in town by far... always a winner. I love the french onion soup and their bread and butter is the best in town. Also, I think their iced tea is amazing! They do seasonal menus and the selections are always fresh and unique. My favorite has got to be the Santa Fe Steak Salad with the tamale but it's only available in the summer.

Food you can get anywhere. Forgettable salads with frozen, not fresh, bluberries. Food is prepared like no one cares. Had the trout with overwhelming nut topping. All you could taste was nut and lack of seasoning. Very bland. I mean freakin Furrs cafeteria has better food, and at these prices you gotta be kidding me. How does this place stay in business???Staff apologized and gave us the full seventy dollar bill with a wish "we could help." Well I wish we had gone somewhere else. At least here is a review from a non employee on here now. Update 2-2010: Owner Tim Inman wrote letter to our credit card co. when we complainted (not to us of course not that would be customer service) that actually used this review in their defense becasue we didnt use the words "Bad Food". Ok Tim here it is more clearly for you. BAD FOOD YUCK

I can't help being suspicious that of 23 total ratings, 3 of the high ratings for this place has are by people with no profile and only this one review. I guess I'm mostly surprised because I'm having a hard time imagining anyone giving this place 5 stars. The food is wholly unremarkable and the staff is snotty. For goodness sake don't waste your money here, the polo grill is around the corner and about the same price.

Good food, good atmosphere, friendly and very accommodating staff. We had to change our reservation size and time several times, which they didn't seem to mind. The drinks were good and moderately priced. I had the pork chops and what a chop it was. First of all, the thing is honking. I never quite made it to the second half of it. It was perfectly moist, which can be a challenge with such a thick chop, and very flavorful. The green beans were OK, and the potatoes were not memorable. Others at the table had the salmon (too fishy), and the pizzas, which I heard were remarkable and very cheap. Seems like a nice place for a date; as other reviewers have noted, it did have kind of a "romantic" vibe.

Very small, but fabulous restaurant. Had their mussels for lunch- the best I have ever eaten! Fresh, plump and served with a ton of garlic in a fabulous broth! Imagine- the BEST mussels are in Tulsa? Yes! Salads, pizzas and the complimentary bread are all worthy of continued cravings!

I love this place...the selection of food...the warm breads, the great wine list!!! Yum! The menu at this locations is divine, it changes from time to time always bring in the best most appetizing meals. i favor the Ruben Sandwich and the Asian Chicken Salad. The breads are so warm they melt in your mouth. I love the decor, very trendy and chic. The art work is usually very cool and creative. The bread pudding is huge!! So good...and perfect! I recommend this place. it is my favorite lunch spot in Tulsa. Super cool!

I had the Fig Brick oven pizza the other day. It was great, the service was great. It's getting a bit crowded on the weekends, so call ahead and reserve a table if you want to eat here.

We went to Stonehorse Cafe for lunch. We walked in the door, and were told after a minute that a table had to be cleaned for us. While waiting, I noticed the distinct scent of..... canned tuna. We sat by the window, which was nice, and then both ordered iced tea. I was not expecting the black currant flavored tea. Had I known, I would have ordered something else. (I'm a tea purist.) For a starter, we shared the Greek Pizza. Wood-fired brick oven, topped with roasted garlic, pesto, roasted red peppers, black olives, mozzarella, and feta. The flavor was not bad, but it REALLY needed salt and pepper. Halfway through my first slice, I noticed a strange flavor.... it was chicken. Don't know why or how, but it was definitely chicken. I was not very happy with the crust, either. I was expecting something crispier... But overall, it wasn't bad (after I added salt and pepper). The entrees: House fettuccine with Italian sausage, peppers, and onions. I asked if the pasta was house made, and our server said that it was... but it was overcooked. The sausage (which I assume was also made in-house) smelled wonderful but was sorely lacking in flavor. The texture was very uneven and mealy. I failed to notice any onions in the dish, and there was one whole (but crushed) tomato. Again, the dish was poorly seasoned. The other entree was the tenderloin with fire-roasted goat cheese. This was served atop smashed potatoes, sauteed spinach, and a bruleed onion, with one piece of carrot and one piece of asparagus. We had ordered the steak medium rare, and when we cut into it, it was well done. We notified our server, who was profusely apologetic, and the whole dish was recooked for us. This was a pretty good thing because the original piece of asparagus was overcooked and the carrot was very undercooked (almost raw). The second dish was better all around-- the steak was still improperly cooked, the result of a super hot pan that seared the outside and left the center mostly raw. But... it happens. It would qualify as medium rare in most places. The veggies were correctly cooked on the second plate, and what's not to like about mashed potatoes and demi-glace? Bestest stuff ever. :) Once the plate was salted and peppered, it was tasty stuff. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding. The portion was HUGE, and was served with caramel swirl ice cream. It tasted slightly overcooked. Not a burned flavor, but it was a texture issue for me. And, I think it needed something. More cinnamon? Something. The decor was nice, the lighting was good, but what the heck was a painting of Lassie doing up on the wall? I have read several times that the service here is hit and miss. Our server was competent and did a good job, but I did notice another server who seemed quite rude. Different strokes, I guess. Overall, given that this was our first meal out in quite a while, it was pretty good. I was just utterly disappointed with the complete lack of seasoning. Salt and pepper go a LONG way! I don't know if I would go back-- just because I hear about so much inconsistency with this restaurant.

Maybe they just had an off night when we went. - The waiter was a little weird and way too talkative - The pork chop (which my friend Dave said was the best he's ever had) tasted like fish. I just threw up in my mouth thinking about it. - The bread was good (see, trying to stay positive) - Great location I'll try it again just because everyone else seems to like it - I cave easily to peer pressure.

Great atmosphere and good food. A must try is the truck stop meatloaf. A few times they had run out of it before we new. So have learned to ask them before getting seated. The pizzas are solid. Mussel apitizer is a go if you like them.

The melon gazpacho and bleu cheese salad with fresh blueberries was fantastic. Service was a bit slow but improved as the lunch rush thinned out.

Went here for dinner Saturday night with my family (mom, brother, and son). We were a little (ok, a lot) taken aback by the pricing. A $$ price tag to me means more like $15, and the majority of their entrees were $25-$35. That being said, the food is absolutely delicious. My mom and I both had the ravioli, brother had the spaghetti and meatballs which they ended up being out of so it was fettuccine and their homemade sausage. My mom and I split their honey crisp apple salad with goat cheese and it was the perfect size as an appetizer salad (once it was split- on it's own it would be too much). Our server and the hostess were ridiculously nice and totally on point with service. When I'd called earlier that afternoon to make a reservation I told her I had a two year old and asked if the restaurant was age appropriate. She answered "absolutely" but when we got there we almost left because while they certainly allow children (they do have highchairs) I'd never take my two year old there. We lucked out and he was on exceptionally good behavior but it could easily have been a disaster, mainly for everyone around us. This place would be great for a romantic evening or a celebration dinner (sans kids). I was running a half marathon the next day so I couldn't take part in the wine list but next time I'll definitely be having some vino and trying out the bread pudding!

I give it for stars but it would have five if the service was good. there is a point where great good is shadowed by poor service. I guess if I was a regular in the tiny bar then I may get noticed.(peanut m&ms in baskets) Anyway, the food is great, bread is delicious and the coffee strong!

This is my second restaurant since arriving in Tulsa. First impression was that it is cute and very busy! Good, people must like it! The next part was a disappointment. I waited for 30 minutes even with a reservation. That being said they were very apologetic. They quickly took my order of tortilla chicken soup and bean/ beat salad. They brought fresh bread and butter which was good and then my soup came out right after. The soup was not as hot as it could have been and the cup was small so it was difficult to get the tortilla strips chopped into it. Even with those flaws it was awesome! It was the right amount spicy and had cream cheese in it! Off the charts! Next was my salad, also good. Not off the charts but very nice. I loved the beet and bean but it needed more flavor. Lastly dessert! Lemon ricotta cheese cake! Very very good! The food here is very good but the customer service is excellent. Twice supervisors apologized for the wait and asked how the food was, it was busy but they took the time. Coming back for sure!

Go Tim! I love this place. This has to be my favorite restaurant in Tulsa. My best friend used to work at Stonehorse and my family went quite often (on those weekends when I would come home from college). I believe the menu changes on a daily basis. LOVE their bread and butter. My favorite is the roasted chicken with 40ish cloves of garlic. The pizzas are great as well. The "blue" salad is my favorite for lunch. This is pretty pricy, but you're also paying for the trendy/chic atmosphere and Utica Square.

Do NOT miss this place. Not only is the service great, Amelia is a pro multi tasker and makes you feel like she has all the chaos under control, but the food is excellent, the location is in an upscale but family friendly shopping area and the decor is pretty chic. Dori at Coach had recomended this place. I had explained that I travel for work and I try to go to unique local spots, not chains. She immediately suggested this place and she said that althrough all their options are delicious, their burger was fantastic. I got there at the perfect time, I immediately got a table and a few minutes later the lunch rush started up but Amelia orchastrated it all to look so easy. I went with Dori's advice and ordered the burger which came with fries. I had the whole day and the sunshine was out so I decided to treat myself to a mimosa. I am going to post a picture of the food because it was beautiful. I hate when u see a commercial and the food looks amazing and then you get it and its defrosted, saggy and weak. My plate was TV-ready. I posted it on facebook and immediately got comments from jealous hungry friends on the West Coast. I have nothing bad to say about this place, if I lived here I would have a serious craving for this place. If you are in Tulsa this is a must location.

As a former Stonehorse Hottie, I can attest that this is some of the best food in the state of Oklahoma--in fact, it is some of the best food on either coast! Chef/Owner Tim Inman is committed to local, farm fresh ingredients, amazing cuts of meat, and line-caught fresh fish flown into Tulsa. His housemade ravioli are to die for--I forgot how good they are but I had them the other night with fava beans, pancetta, and mushrooms. I am going to figure out a way to FedEx them to Washington, DC--they are that good! Tim's pork chops are legendary and not for the faint of heart. And his decadent bread pudding is the signature dessert. Boys, pay attention--the waitresses really don't get any hotter! UPDATE: Back in town for another fabulous meal at Stonehorse. And I don't just say fabulous because this is my favorite restaurant and I have a slight bias. Tim has gotten his line running like clockwork and it shows. All of our dishes were exceptional and I sampled quite a bit. The ravioli are still killer even when just drizzled with olive oil for the babies at the table. Tuna tartar was back and it most definitely still gets top billing of all tuna tartar that I have ever had anywhere in the whole world. Tim doesn't mess around with trying to dress it up or get too complicated--instead, he focuses on the very freshest tuna available complimented with sriracha chili, sesame oil and seeds, and cucumbers marinated in rice wine vinegar. It is simple and nothing beats it. Filet was delicious and perfectly done as usual, tableside truffle service for the summer corn risotto was a nice touch, and the wines were fabulous--we tried quite a few!

i love this restaurant. the service in the dining area is great, the selections never fail to please, and the wine list is very nice. the only complaint i have is the bartender. he is an arrogant asshole. i didn't like the way he ignored us, and then acted like we were in his way when we wanted to order something. we spent plenty of money and he treated us like an afterthought. i would be there right now if he weren't there.
