I like Rib Crib for several reasons. First, the actual barbecue meats are excellent. My favorites are the ribs and the chicken. You can tell that the chicken is of a higher quality than you might get at many places. The ribs are a dry rub which is OK but the meat is a very high quality. Next, I like the sides almost as much. I usually get the mashed potatoes and gravy, okra, or potato salad. The mashed potatoes and gravy are very peppery - very good, but don't expect it to taste like KFC. The okra is very crunchy and the potato salad is pretty typical. Some meals will come with toast and corn on the cob. The toast is pretty much just buttery, toasted bread. The corn on the cob is good, albeit very difficult to eat. It doesn't come on a stick. Finally, the food is not inexpensive. Barbecue is always pricy because, well, protein is expensive. I'm kind of surprised many people buy this as a take-out meal because the price is so prohibitive. Overall, Rib Crib is a good, solid pick. It's not as good as a hole-in-the-wall barbecue joint you find on vacation, but it's consistently really tasty.

Someone catered Rib Crib to my work and the chopped beef and sauce was great, so I was anxious to go to the restaurant. It was hard to believe my husband and I ate at the same place, we had the opposite reaction to the place, so we settled on a 3 for the rating. The parking lot is tight, I was worried about being backed into. We agreed the place was well kept with nice decor and excellent service, thanks Crystal, our server. I got the Smokestack sliced brisket sandwich which was 4, 3 inches of meat about 1/4 inch thick. The meat was tender and tasted okay, but the bun wasn't worth the calories. I tried the three sauces on the table and liked the mild one best, but it wasn't like what was catered at work. The seasoned fries, my husband loved. There was a huge pile of shoestring fries, which is what I like, but they had a greasy texture and taste and weren't worth the calories. My husband got the Cribwich sandwich with sliced brisked and sausage, it was a fat sandwich and he loved it. I thought the sausage had an off taste. He got peach cobbler in a huge heavy beer glass, drowned in ice cream, he loved that too. I was fishing around, trying to find some cobbler, had a few bites and decided it wasn't worth the calories. Bottom line, we will go back, since he absolutely loved it. I will try the sliced brisket dinner, no tasteless bun or greasy fries for me next time. BTW, we agreed the dill pickle was crispy and fresh!

I have not been to Rib Crib in a while and unless I am talked into going there by someone in the future I won't be back. The wait staff did a great job and I am sure the people cooking did it by the book. Back when the Rib Crib first opened the BBQ was smoked the right way with wood and no liquid smoke. Several years back the Rib Crib change their ways of cook to make a better profit margin and shortly after that is when I started calling the "Rib Crib the mcD's of BBQ" the quality of their BBQ drop right down to the fast food level of quality. The food is still at the fast food level quality that will give a person with an iron stomach heart burn. The serves was the best part of the meal a 4+ but the BBQ was about a 1.

Nice friendly staff. Wrong order for Fred, no charge for his dinner. Very nice. Brisket lunch greasy looking with bland taste; beans good taste and slaw was ok.

This was a pretty bland experience. Server was nice and friendly but she can't control the food quality. I ate across town the day before at a local BBQ joint and the taste difference was obvious. Rib Crib probably won't see me again.

I am so happy with the service and with the food here that I have become a repeat customer, but I think with Tulsa's reputation for great steakhouses I ought to try some other place next time I am passing through. The service was 4.5 stars, the food was 3.5 stars. It's a great place for lunch, no doubt.

Went last Saturday and the food was VERY good... I got the BBQ sliders and the other guy got ribs... the sides were good (Corn, beans and onion rings) everything was hot, served fast and by great servers... Give it another try...
