Food was descent but waitress could use more training. Not seeming to care about her tables. Prompting customer to change the way they ordered their eggs. If you don't know what poached vs medium not the customers fault.

Last night, a friend and I HAD THE POLICE CALLED ON US WHILE EATING AT THIS IHOP. We order our food and wait about 30 minutes for it to arrive. My friend orders the Big Steak Omelet which is depicted as having steak inside and on top. Once it arrives he begins eating and after some initial bites he notices there's not much steak inside, he takes a few more bites assuming maybe the steak is just spread throughout the large omelet. After a few more bites, he realizes there is no more steak beyond the original few bites he had so he opens the omelet and sees that there is no more steak inside. He immediately stopped eating and calls over a waiter and tells him the issue. The waiter tells him, "Ok, let me see what we can do about this" and he goes to the night manager and tells her and she comes over. She asks what the issue is and he tells her "based on the picture in the menu I was under the impression there would be more steak. I thought there would be steak both on top and inside and there were a few pieces but then I realized there was no more beyond the first few bites." She tells him "well it's pre-portioned" and leaves it at that. He tells her "ok, well, I obviously don't want to pay for something that was not as I expected." At that point, a restaurant usually provides options to accommodate the customer. NOPE. She then tells him "You're just upset that I wouldn't let you eat your other food (we had outside food). You can pay for it or I can call the cops." YEP, SHE WENT FROM 0 TO 100. We were not upset about our burgers at this point. We had already agreed to her request on that front and put that food away, we had already ordered our IHOP food, waited for our food, and were eating our food just like every other person in that place. If we were truly upset about it, we would have left immediately. At this point we had been there for about 30-40 minutes, so obviously we were fine. He tells her "The police are not needed, I just don't want to pay for something that was not what I expected. It's the Big Steak Omelet and based on the picture in the menu there is clearly supposed to be steak inside of it and on top of it. I was expecting more steak inside of it but there was none inside beyond the initial bites. You tell me it's pre-portioned but that doesn't change that it's not as I expected and I obviously don't want to pay for something that's not as I thought it would be." She tells hims that she doesn't like his tone, calls the police, and takes the plate to the back. While on the phone she tells the police "Yea, we just want him to pay half but he doesn't want to do that." He and I look each right in the eye and I say "She never gave you that option! She never gave any options!" The police arrive and I immediately started videoing it. Once the officer arrived she then told the officer she was willing to discount it by half since he had only eaten half but she never gave that option to my friend! The first time that option was presented was out of the mouth of the officer, not her. After my friend explains to the officer that she didn't provide any options of accommodation and just immediately called the police, he seems to understand that this was escalated for no reason and tells us (this is verbatim) "well sometimes we jump to conclusions and sometimes we've had time to think about it" (it took about 20 minutes mind you, for the cops to arrive and we waited there the entire time still eating our food, not disrupting anyone and just patiently waiting for them to arrive so we can discuss the situation. If in fact as the officer stated "sometimes we've had time to think about it" and she had decided in that time to offer accommodations, then she could have said to him "hey, the cops are on the way now, to avoid this what we can do is such and such." No, she just called the cops and waited for them to arrive and then acted as though she had tried to be accommodating and he was being difficult). The officer himself then suggests we should speak with the regular manager who's present during the day since he's the head manager, the entire encounter with police is on video. Even Marty, our waitress, told us that it should not have gotten to this and the police should not have been called and it would have been very simple for them to just remake the order as is quite common. We told Marty we would have been happy with that option and as a matter of fact, we told her that before the police arrived and I saw Marty talking to the manager near the back. I assume it was about this situation and it appeared she was attempting to get the manager to consider that option but since she still never provided that option and chose to wait for the cops, I assume she shot Marty down. Marty then apologized to us on behalf of the manager and implored us to forgive the manager for her rash reaction. When a customer informs you of a dissatisfaction with their order, your first response should not be to call the police.

Older restaurant. Definitely not my "home" IHOP.

My boyfriend and I went today and, unfortunately, this was some of the worst service and IHOP food we've ever had. We were seated and our waitress didn't come to ask for our drink order for 10 minutes. We ordered chicken strips and the appetizer trio and began the wait. We spent our time watching people wait 5 and 10 minutes at a time to be sat while all of the servers stood around talking to people or on their phones. It took our food 25 minutes to come out and by the time it had, the chicken was all but cold. The food was less than mediocre. I guess I'm just used to IHOP in Midwest City where the food is always fantastic and hot. It tasted like the oil in the fryers hadn't been changed in quite some time. All of the food had an old oil taste about it and the onions inside our onion rings were a muddled yellow from it. We didn't see our waitress again until we stopped her because we needed ketchup. She never even asked us how the food was and we never got our drinks refilled. When it was time to go, she brought us the wrong check. (She only had 3 tables, all 2 tops, and there were only 8 tables taken in the whole restaurant.) We had to wait for her to go print is a copy and that took another 10 minutes and she sat it right in a puddle of condensation from my boyfriend's glass. When asked about a military discount she actually got an attitude about seeing proper ID even though my boyfriend was already showing it to her. I've always loved IHOP but we won't be dining here again.

Since when does IHOP not have wifi? It's on the website and advertised on the doors. I go in and ask to plug in my laptop. They said sure. I try to connect to the wifi and get nothing. I ask about it and they said we don't have it. I was like... Really? Why else would I bring my laptop? I asked when did they stop doing that, because I had used the wifi a month or so prior, and got no answer. The Arab or Middle East dude managing the franchise needs to let an American manage it or actually give a damn. He sucks and is running the place into the ground. Used to live ihop. Was an American tradition to go eat breakfast there any time of the day. Now it's just like ewww gross. Wtf?

Slowest place ever. The lady said 15 minutes but that was 25 minutes ago. The food isn't worth this kind of wait.
