They just opened and will give them one more shot at earning my "4 star rating". HGSB is located in an old Ryan's and they use every buffet opening and "stretch things out" so to speak. I've been to lunch and dinner. The "crown achievement" at dinner for me was the Frog Legs but as other patrons noticed they were cold at 6:30. Some of the bbq items have a grill flavor assumedly from the Ryan's grill-not bad. They have sushi and go beyond the standard roll and fake crab but the product isn't good enough to compete with a true sushi offering. The Hibachi needs explanation and a bit of show in my opinion they should give the dude a paper hat and make it look fancy. They had a huge roast beef simply label "boil or broil" obviously well done and not worth the carve yourself effort. On whole you will be searching to find something tasty enough to get you back and not bloated.

None of the food that I got was good. Nothing was fresh at all. It tasted really bad. I was too afraid to try the sushi and it's a good thing I didn't because I ended up getting sick later that night.

Went again today, and this visit wasn't as good as the first. The waitress was very inattentive, and the broccoli beef was absolutely tasteless. Other than that, everything tasted good. Tried the Mongolian chicken on the bar, and it was slightly too spicy for my taste, but if you like chili fire, you'd like it.

Best sushi on any Buffet I've been to. The frog legs were excellent along with the Dumplings and some of the chicken dishes. Excellent service and some of the best table Neighbors ever made it a thoroughly enjoyable meal. I will Definetly be dining there often.

Decent buffet but nothing special here. The selection of food is good but nothing stands out or is special. The name assumes there's something Japanese but its typical Chinese food. The sushi is on par with typical Chinese buffet sushi which is low on fish and refrigerated. The hibachi grill is nothing more than a typical Mongolian grill type of stir fry with your own ingredient. The setting however is spacious.

Should be called Mongolian Grill Super Buffet. It is not Hibachi by any means. It is your average chinese buffet. Selection was average. Seafood dishes were not replaced regularly resulting in a few empty trays on the buffet line. Worst part of the experience was the rude waitress. She seemed like she was anxious to rush us out. After our first plate we were given the check and every plate thereafter we were reminded that we can pay at the table. There were alot of empty tables so it was not busy and we had a table of six, meaning we probably were going to be there for more than 30minutes. I got annoyed by the constant reminding of having to pay so I did.. and she tried to rush us out even faster. Decent buffet, higher than average dinner buffet for chinese 13$, terrible service.

The jury is in for me: I have a strong recommendation for a place a close friend of mine invited me to recently and tonight my wife chose of all places she could to go eat out, she chose Hibachi Grill Super Buffet which just opened several months back on 73rd and Memorial on East side (they took over what was once Ryan's Steakhouse). The cooking is awesome and dishes are refreshingly good. My favorites include fresh clams with garlic and black bean sauce, big prawns with head on, big beef brisket on ribs, long beans, baby Bak Choy, roast chicken, fried chicken wings, and frogs legs, miso soup, siew mai (steamed pork dim sum), very tasty fried rice (Yang Chow style), and fried bee hoon noodles, they have also Mongolian grill with shrimp option, sushi bar with most variety offered in Tulsa buffet, I like their Kim Chee, coconut macaroons and sesame balls stuffed with red bean paste (far superior than Grandhouse one who's batter taste like bleach). Fair warning, their white bun is to be avoided (taste like bleach). Otherwise, Bon Appetit and go early, by 6pm they start having a line and you have to wait until present dinners vacate their tables. Service is fast, and efficient. Prices cheap adult $9.49, kids 7-10 is below $6 for dinner. If you are thinking of Chinese and don't want to wait for food to be cooked, and everyone has their own preferences, then you've got to try Hibachi Grill for sure.

The price is great for such a big buffet ($7.95 for dinner). I found several items I liked, but none that were good enough to make me want to come back. I was excited to see rice noodles on the buffet, which were good overall until I bit into one that was not cooked. Very crunchy, in a bad way. I was sad. A lot of the veggie dishes were good however. Decent sushi selection, but didn't get to try the hibachi - worker was on break I guess because the station sat vacant the entire time I was there. I did enjoy the ice cream selection available though! Not sure i'll return, but the decor is nice!

This was the nastiest food I've had in Tulsa. The fried rice was terrible, the peel and eat shrimp were rubbery. The best thing on the bar was the pudding.

I'm very surprised at all of the negative reviews of this place. I'm going to start out by saying that I am very skeptical of buffets usually, but I was impressed by this place. I went for lunch with some coworkers, and it was very busy and from what I could see there were a lot of "regulars". That is always a good sign. Our server was very attentive even if all she had to do was refill water and clear our plates. So onto the buffet. It is HUGE. You might expect it not to be fresh, but there was always someone out there refreshing the buffet items. There was a great selection of all different kinds of food. Mostly Chinese, but there were some other Asian varieties and also some American foods for the picky eaters (think pizza, mozzarella sticks, etc. I didn't have any of this, but it is a nice option if you're coming with kids who might not touch the Chinese stuff!). Everything I had was delicious, but there is still so much I have left to try! I will definitely be back. PS there is a lot of dessert to choose from including soft serve ice cream.

This is a solid buffet in Tulsa, in my opinion. Typical buffet food selection, but it was cooked well. I've been on Saturdays and they're usually mostly full (which means lots of fresh food always coming out!!). Sushi is typical buffet sushi. I've never gotten hibachi here. Service has always been good at taking away our plates and refilling our waters.

The food is almost always great here. I would recommend not coming during the hours in-between lunch and dinner though unless you check the grill and buffet tables to make sure they are well stocked. We usually love our dining experience here, but I left disappointed this trip. I love frog legs, and even though they repeatedly told me they were bringing more out, they never did. The Mongolian grill lacked many of the choices normally on it. The owner kept telling me their delivery trucks were late so I'm trying to be nice. The waitress was terrific and the food I did get to eat was tasty.

A very large selection for the price. Food on the buffets is being constantly tended to. Sushi bar provided a continuous sampling of bite sized delights. Friendly staff are very attentive to ones needs.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city.
