YUMM!!! Doesn't that sum it all up? We were driving through the great town of Tulsa and I happened to see Freckle's "frozen custard" sign, and we basically swerved and maneuvered to get off I-44 at the Harvard Street exit. Frozen custard is not a very common thing, but a delicious treat when done right. Well, Freckles does it RIGHT! With reasonable prices, tons of topping/mixin options, and rich creamy frozen custard, Freckles is a winner! I loved it so much, that we made a point to stop on our way home. And Wednesday when we go back through Tulsa, you will find me at Freckles for a double strawberry concrete. mmmm

Frozen custard is hard to find in Los Angeles, so when I get to Tulsa, I always try to make it to Freckles. It's delicious--at least twice as creamy as store-bought ice cream! They have concretes too--with toppings mixed in. Awesome!

This place is indeed the BOMB! I was really into the FroYo bars until my wife convinced me to try Freckles. Nothing against FroYo bars...but Freckles is hands down the best ice cream spot in T-Town!

God this place is too good. If you feel like splurging and getting some of tulsa's best ice cream then Freckles is your stop. This place has an awesome menu with some creative sundaes and stuff. I recommend The Driller- fudge brownie w/ peanut butter and a hot fudge center

Big big fan of ice cream and it has to be worth the calories. Was in Tulsa for a wedding and since I didn't have to squeeze into my dress on Monday, I yelped "ice cream" in Tulsa. Having gone to OU, was always a Braums fan but wanted to try something new. Thank goodness Freckles is not in Washington DC or I would be two sizes bigger. Very personable young (everyone is younger than me now!) men who took my order and allowed me to sample a flavor. Had the smallest size possible (must have been the heat - should have gone bigger) and my concrete had hot fudge, baked walnuts (or was it pecans?) and caramel. No whip. Just fantastic. A must for people who love ice cream.

Freckles is a Tulsa summer tradition. Back in my day, snow cones weren't the summer treat of choice: frozen custard was! It's an establishment with a small footprint: there are 4-5 employees crammed inside what is basically a large closet. You can't eat inside, but there are a few tables outside (similar to Sonic). Frozen custard is their main seller. They also sell ice cream cakes; I haven't had one, but they look really good! There are a variety of frozen custard treats: all are a mix of custard and candies. They have a menu of suggested mixes with mostly local names (relating to OU, OSU, TU, etc.) but you can also make your own. I got a chocolate concrete with Heath and Reese's cups. The custard is much better than ice cream, with a smoother texture and an extra sweet taste. They grind the candy into the mix, so you can enjoy the candy from the first to the last bite. (Braum's doesn't always do a good job of that.) Medium concretes with a couple of candies are about $5. It seems steep, but this is a sometimes treat that is especially delicious.

It's no Ted Drewes' (for you St. Louisans). Not bad. I constantly am trying to pick a mix of marshmallow, or chocolate or something that won't extensively melt the concrete. Conclusion--candy/ fruit only will allow you to do this. Add any liquid ingredient on a hot summer day, and you're going to end up with a shake-like melt. Ok, just prefer the places that can keep the concrete in a less melty configuration by the time it gets in my hand. And also, Banana - peanut butter cup FTW.

Great tasting custard with standard pricing. I personally am used to custard being a tad more dense, but the flavors were awesome. My husband and I split a concrete with chocolate custard, brownies, and raspberries. I couldn't really tell if they used real raspberries or syrup; however, if syrup, it wasn't too sweet or sugary. The Mom tried a vanilla custard cone and was pleased. In 108 degree weather, the misters are a nice touch, too!

Sought this place out on a suggestion and found it to be the perfect treat on a warm day. This is a no frills custard joint that only has outdoor seating and a drive thru option, which we did see a couple of cars go through at around 11-ish. Three basic favors:chocolate, vanilla, and flavor of the day. Don't fret because they have an abundance of toppings and even offer specialties mixes. I opted for vanilla with hot fudge sundae style and hubby got rocky road (flavor of the day) concrete style. Yum, yum, yum!

Love this place. You can drive-thru or walk up and enjoy outside on a hot summer day. This is where I fell in love with concretes. You must try vanilla with brownies and whatever sauce you like most. They also have a cute thing called a pup cup (a small cup of ice cream for your pup) in case you happen to take your dog everywhere like I do.
