Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Opens At 10:30 am For Lunch Got There At 10:45 40 th Person In Line Outside To Get In 45 Minutes Later We Got A Seat 15 Minutes Later We Were Eating The Meatiest & Yummiest Ribs Ever Awesome Q Worth The Wait

The line - it's so long and it was so hot. A woman fainted. We arrived at 10:30am on a Saturday. Waited close to an hour before getting in. We were still able to get ribs so we were excited. Ribs - OMG. Best ribs I've ever had. You have to get it! Fatty - a little spicy, a little crunchy - interesting to say the least. Recommend this as second entree if you have room or are sharing. Pulled pork - delicious but may not be worthwhile compared to the other two things. Mac and Cheese: my husband loved it but I found it be strange. The sauce didn't feel thick enough Beans - good to have with pulled pork. Note: we originally wanted to the happy plate to try everything but then found out it cost an astonishing 40 something dollars. We're 2 people. We want to be happy but not that happy.

Burn Co has some of the best, if not THE best, barbeque in Tulsa. They make everything on Hasty Bake grills and obviously care a great deal about their product. They have all of the typical barbeque favorites and even some creative meat combinations such as the Fatty. My personal favorites include the brisket or bologna and my husband always goes for the ribs. Their mac & cheese is the best side but is only available Thursday-Saturdays. Once you make it through the line, the food comes out very quickly. The servers are friendly and all seem happy to be there. The restaurant has an open feel with lots of picnic tables. It is definitely casual and always busy. The only reason Burn Co doesn't get 5 stars in my book is the limited hours. They're only open for lunch and if you aren't there by 10:30am, the line is out the door and down the block and they start to run out of things. 10:30am just isn't my favorite time of day to eat a huge helping of barbeque and if you don't work close by, it's hard to make it there for lunch during the week. I know a ton of people who come here on a weekly basis though and it doesn't seem like the popularity is waning any.

Best ribs ever, wow. I showed up about 11:00 and stood in line for close to half an hour...but worth the wait. About 10 people in front of me go a complimentary rib to help time pass...I wasn't so lucky, no bonus rib for me : (. I only had the ribs and grilled potato salad, both were amazing. I'm excited to go back and try something new but as good as the ribs were, it will be hard to try anything but ribs again

Long overdue. This place is literally 38 secs away from my house & it took me MONTHS to finally check them out. My uncle always told me about them, even an old manager of mine told me about how good it was as well. Also, I was told it's always packed during lunch hours. Those stories were true. I went a little after 11am & it was PACKED. When I finally got to the front, I ordered The Fatty Burger. & yes, what the title is, is all you can imagine it would be. Beef patty topped with ground sausage & hot links with smoked sausage in the middle, all wrapped in bacon. Also, cheese was in the middle of all of that. I ordered the baked beans as well. The burger was the beyond great. Kinda hard to eat with everything being so stacked but it's all good once you take that first bite. I added their BBQ sauce to it & it took it to another level. Definitely their own recipe. The baked beans were cool. I should've asked for more sauce to add to it, it would've made it better. I always forget that most places don't include sauce in their beans, I always assume that it's always added in. Outside of that, they have you usuals: brisket, sausage, pulled pork, chicken, etc. They have desserts as well. They also have a bar. The lady who took my order was nice & friendly. The place is spacious but gets packed SUPER quick. For it to be up the street from my place, to-go was my best bet.

Wooaaahhh nelly... I didn't think I really even liked BBQ. But, I had never had Burn Co. These meat treats and all of the extras make my mouth water now just thinking about it. There might be a line, but don't let it fool you. The service here is efficient and they are known to bring out some fresh ribs to those waiting to savor on the house! Inside has plenty of charm filled with a local vibe. There's a stage off to the corner where you'll usually see some ridiculously good musicians, a huge bar and nice wooden picnic tables for chowing down. There's a little parking lot behind the building but street parking out front it also available and totally free. The brisket and the ribs are what I always gravitate to. You guys... I can't tell you how tender the meat is. Maybe the best way to describe it is to compare it to a Michael Buble song? There are a couple different kinds of BBQ sauces to choose from; the mild I mixed with a little bit of spicy does the trick for me but, honestly you don't need much as it's packed with so much flavor already. Burn Co BBQ, you are the king of the meat treats.

I had never been but heard of the legendary bbq place that always has lines. I got there at 11 and waited for about 15 min to order. Once you order they get it to you really fast. We had barely sat down when they called our order. I had the chopped smoked brisket and my friend got the ribs. We both got a side of Mac n cheese (which was slightly smoked). The ribs were amazing and some of the best I've had. The chopped brisket was average however. It tasted slightly burnt. Not enough that it was bad. But enough to consider it average.

First time here brought my son who is in town from the Navy. He got the "Happy Plate". And left very happy! I wasn't crazy about the "fatty" or the baked beans but loved loved the ribs. We waited about an hour for food line was down the street on a Wednesday. However by noon no one was in line. But they ran out of food starting about 11:10. No more special ... Overall very good and worth the wait.

Best BBQ in Tulsa hands down! It competes with Texas BBQ and you can buy your own meats to cook at home!

Despite the odd hours, the yelling ("close the damn door" and "Julie! Julie!! For the love of God, Julie!!!"), the loud music and all the unorganized hoopla they call a menu, Burn Co. is worth it. I was served ribs while waiting in line for half an hour, what a great idea! I'm not a fan of their BBQ sauces but you really don't need it, the meat I had was perfect but that was when I went on a Saturday Morning at 10 AM. That "Saturday bacon smoked Mac and cheese" is one of a kind. Sadly, 3rd best BBQ in the state. Bronze Medal. Instructions on how to become the greatest: Get another cashier. Your business is in a city, not rural Oklahoma. Play music outside, where it belongs. Get an intercom, before someone loses an eardrum. Keep serving free BBQ in line. Never run out of meat. Never! No excuses. BBQ challenge? Not a bad idea. Pay someone with vision to fix the menu. Just do it. Please. Side note: I really like the toys and action figures...

Hands down best BBQ in Tulsa... You'll never leave hungry, and everything I have tried so far has been great. They will run out of BBQ if you get there too late so the best bet is to take an early lunch and come before 11:00.

So, this place has been hyped up so much, I was afraid of the let down. I told my husband this is what I wanted for my birthday - to have lunch here. Well, it was a Saturday and our good friends went and held a place in line for us so I could sleep in (thank you friends). We assumed our position in line (about 35th in a line of 75) and by the time they opened the line was probably 120 people. My girlfriend and I grabbed a table while the husbands did the ordering. Now, I'm a bbq fan, and when I think bbq, I think hickory smoke. SMOKED, not grilled meat, smoked meat. My friends told me ahead of time "everything is done on these big Hasty Bakes." And I'm thinking, "Okay, that's not a smoker. It's not bbq." Somehow, they are doing some kind of smoking on Hasty Bakes, because there was some smokiness to the bbq, but they aren't really, truly doing a deep smoky bbq. The true test of this is looking at sliced brisket. There should be a red line, indicating how far the smoke has penetrated. It was just a teeny-tiny thin line right at the edge of the meat. And, of course, it didn't taste smoky. It does smell smoky in the restaurant, but my guess is they don't smoke anything in the true sense of the word, for very long of a time at all. To be fair, most everything I ate off the "happy plate" was good, tender, moist and meaty. But the lack of smoke was somewhat disappointing, and the "fatty" was just...weird. There's a line of something red in it which almost looked like those fake bacon bits. (Please someone tell me it's not fake bacon bits.) The pulled pork was tender and juicy. Next time we go I will selectively order my meat rather than getting the happy plate. I would definitely order the pork ribs on their own, as they were the best thing on the plate. And the potato salad is not to be missed. Not what you'd expect of potato salad, but for sure not to be missed. So, if you're a true "hickory smoke" bbq fan like me, just go in knowing Burn Co is a good meal and a fun experience, but it is nothing like Elmer's or Knotty Pine, and it will certainly never hold a candle to Wilson's.

AMAZING!! Probably the best BBQ i have ever had!! The staff is very accommodating and the food is TASTY!! I can't say enough... Love this place! We got a rib while standing in line, so wonderful!

I'm afraid my review will just be added white noise. This place is GOOD. I got the rib sandwich (which I HIGHLY recommend) and my wife the chopped brisket, which was excellent. I will definitely be returning. The only negatives to this place are the hours of operation and the long line you have to wait in. Show up early. They DO run out of BBQ. They stopped serving at 1:00 the day I stopped in.

Had the ribs and 2 sausages. The ribs were super flavorful and tender, but still had that nice meaty consistency. Meat came off the bone easily and didn't just fall apart when you touch it, which is a good thing in my opinion. Had the lava link and pork and venison sausage....both good, but the lava link stood out. Overall, I'm very impressed and will be coming back at least twice during the week I have left in Tulsa! Also, they had a guy passing out rib samples in line, so that's how they got me!

I just don't understand the hype about this place at all. Maybe because I'm a pretty experienced barbecue eater growing up around Head Country and spending a few years traversing the state of Texas I'm just pickier than most people, but there isn't a whole lot about the food here that is particularly special. The venue itself is absolutely fantastic. I would avoid during super hot days in the summer because it can get pretty warm in the dining area. LOTS of space, with patrons eating at picnic tables. On my first visit all they had left was brisket and pulled pork so my business partner and I went with that. Both meats were dry and way overcooked. The brisket I could forgive because very few proprietors in Oklahoma cook it correctly, but my partner refused to even eat either meat after he though he had consumed just enough to sustain him until his next meal. On my second visit I tried the fatty and the ribs and had a much better experience. The ribs don't really have much smoke flavor, but have a more unique grilled taste. I've had the campfire potato salad a few times and it's pretty good at first before becoming a little overwhelming as you try and finish it. Ultimately, I'd say come here if you have a big group of people that aren't particularly picky eaters. Stick with the ribs and maybe a fatty or two for the group and enjoy the atmosphere of the place which is really, really unique (sort of a Louie Mueller's vibe). If you're a well-seasoned barbecue eater, go elsewhere.

We've been 3 or 4 times and every single time we say it's hands down the best ribs in Tulsa! Ribs are to die for and today I got the chicken it was unbelievable it came out and was 6 chicken legs! What what?!?!? We've tried the potato salad and it's good but just not our style since its served warm but we love the relish Mac n cheese. The pies are melt in your mouth goodness! from our family. Things you need to know before you go: Be prepared to stand in a line out the door Be prepared that they will run out of things Be prepared to share a table with people you don't know Prepare your mouth for outstanding BBQ BIG boy portions are huge Only open Tue-Sat 10:30-2:30 or until they run out of food

I love me some burnco. and now, it's becoming a Tulsa staple. I'm not a huge meat eater.. however, burnco made me a believer. but really, the ribs are SO GOOD. the mac and cheese is SO GOOD. the whole concept is SO GOOD. the overall vibe of the place is extremely laid back - friendly staff + way casual dining experience. however, do know that the place gets quite packed.. long lines are expected. BUT it goes quickly. they run out of food, so get there early. personally, I think it makes the dining experience a little on the exciting side.. call me crazy. it gets loud. don't come here if you're looking for a relaxing meal. I know several people who have thrown rehearsal dinners and company parties here, so that's an option. and again on the friendly staff note - they really are extremely helpful and nice. they let you sample things if you want. and they just seem to be really cool people. go getchya meat on

I'm generally not a huge fan of BBQ but came here to pay my respects to the local fare. This place is all about the food. It's set up with a bunch of picnic tables and a message board setting forth a limited array of menu options, ranging from the standard (brisket, ribs, pulled pork sandwich) to the mysterious (Frankenstein, Fatty). Come here too long after noon and ether the line will be out the door, or they'll be 'stocked out' and you go home empty-handed. I came with a group, so I got a chance to sample many dishes. This is really top-flight BBQ. While some purists may decry the absence of a true smoker onsite, the grill machines do yield a great smoky flavor. While the ribs are sauced, it isn't overpowering; so you still get a dry, peppery taste. The brisket and sausages are outstanding (a few different types, both sweet and spicy). I didn't try the Fatty, which is a see-it-to-believe-it 'twist' on meatloaf that ought to come with a side of Lipitor. Best thing about this place is it's a local owner-operated business. Plus they cook on Hasty-Bake grills, a local product. Tulsa stand up! This New Yorker will be back

After eating here I immediately decided that if I ever end up murdering someone and get put on death row, Burn Co ribs will be my request for my last meal. Holy shit were they succulent and tasty. Best I've ever had by a longshot. And I have been to some top notch bbq places. I also ordered the lava link and hot link but I got lucky and they they accidentally gave me the cheddar jalapeño brat instead of the hot link. MOVE over Wisconsin... Burn Co jalapeño cheddar brat is the best into book now. And THEN add the smokey Mac and cheese in there? Game over. I'm not going to get all food channel on you and scientifically describe to you how they all taste. All I'm going to say is walking away from this place after eating this amazing bbq is probably a similar feeling to having a 3some with two hot blonds you met at the bar the night before. People giving this place less than 4 stars are completely retarded and should immediately be transferred to the Hawaiian island Molokai like they did with all the people who had leprosy decades ago... Except the new colony would be for morons.

Last Christmas we were visiting my husband's family in Tulsa... I knew that OK had good BBQ places but I would have never thought that BBQ could taste sooooo good.... We had some ribs, bologna, potato salad and cole slaw to go so in this review I can not talk about service because we didn't actually dine in.. But what I can talk about is the yummy food that I still crave of after almost 11 months!!!!! I live in Orange county, CA and who ever is familiar with San Diego can name Phill's BBQ as the best BBQ restaurant in Southern CA for sure, but the Burn (I can say with confident) that it is as delicious as the Phill's.... I mean everytime you bite on the rib, the meat is soooo juicy and flavorful that you don't want to stop eating and you just want to continue eating...... I am looking forward to our next Tulsa visit so we could go and try more of their food... Having seen the pictures of the actual restaurant, I am confident that the service is going to be as great as the food..... I can't talk enough about this place, do yourself a favor and try this place out next time you are around Tulsa!!!

This is the best BBQ in Tulsa. Anything else compared to this place, will be mediocre. These guys know what they're doing. I cannot honestly think of a single item on this menu that isn't good.

Burn Co. is among the best barbecue in Tulsa. I have been to Burn Co. twice and each time was great. WARNING: You will have to wait in line for at least 20 minutes. The first time I went, my group arrived right around noon...bad idea! We waited in line for about an hour. But, it was worth it! My most recent trip we decided to go closer to 11, and waited in a shorter line. (still waited 30 mins). Another thing to know about Burn Co, they close once the meat is gone. On any given day that could be noon or 2:30pm, depending how busy they are. That being said, get there early! They are not open on Sundays or Mondays, or for dinner. There are very large portion at Burn Co, so my friend and I shared the "big boy" of chopped brisket. It was plenty for both of us and we had left overs. The brisket was really good, but you have to get the macaroni and cheese. I believe they smoke it and add bacon. It is my favorite. Everyone in my group got the brisket. One guy also had the pulled pork, and he said it was excellent. I am thinking no matter what kind of meat you get, it is going to be good! I highly suggest Burn Co. Barbeque, but be prepared to wait!

This is quite simply put the best barbecue I have ever had. None of the meats need sauce. The beans have spice. The hot links will put some kick in your mouth. If you're there after 1pm ask for the refugee plate. It's the best deal and absolutely wonderful.

Okay this being the third and probably final time I've been here let me say this: The food here is really great. Flavor is fantastic. So why the three stars? The experience is consistently terrible. Not the service, the experience. This place is so unorganized. Staff yelling out names at the top of their lungs, the music is piping out right in front of the ordertaking area instead of in the dining area which adds to the chaos. It's a very rushed system and there doesn't seem to be any concern for customer appreciation. The whole feel I get is,"be grateful you get some. If you don't like it someone else will take your place." The menu is extremely hard to read and many of the items were not even on it or available. You have to know the inside scoop of what to order before you get there. I saw one guys order and asked him what it was. He said, "Oh this isn't on the menu. It's the Frankenstein." I ordered the burnt ends meal ($15)and a side from the menu. Sides read: potato salad, coleslaw, chips or mac and cheese. I ordered the mac & cheese. Cashier told me mac & cheese is only available on Saturdays, so I got a bag of chips. When we got our order my bag of chips was laying in the barbecue sauce. The Burnt ends looked really good and had great flavor but 40% of it was fat. Maybe most people like to eat that. I don't know. The pulled pork sandwich ($6) was a much better offering. I ate what I could and tried to talk over the name yelling. A small child at the picnic table across from us was startled to crying every time the names where bellowed out. I'm shocked that they don't use a better system. Wandering between guests yelling names until someone raises their hand. Really? I felt sorry for the older guests in there. Place was packed though. I guess most folks don't mind.

Finally came back after a couple months, and a handful of dining experiences at other BBQ joints. My experience this time around was much better. Instead of the ribs I went with the fatty. What a beast of a sandwich. Couldn't finish it after eating the amazing beans, and truly remarkable macaroni&cheese. Took the rest home. I would say the major improvement over my last visit was the service. Very friendly (and patient) guy at the counter. I made 3 corrections mid-order as I was ordering for a group of 6, but the guy was unflappable. I still can't give 5 star as I don't see what, other than the mac&cheese, is so much better than others BBQ joist I've been to. And I've been hitting several. Lastly.... mac&cheese. Damn.

I've been hearing about this place for the past few months & there was no let down. As soon as you step out of your vehicle you can smell the smoke, "the first sign of a good BBQ joint". A co-worker and i shared the Happy Plate, huge plate of Mixed BBQ meats. It was all great but the ribs took the cake, best ribs I've had since I've move to Tulsa. The staff was friendly & the restaurant had a sweet vibe.

Holy Cow! Just had this for the first time last night at an event and I can tell you there food is to die for! We had Ribs, Pulled Pork & Mac N Cheese. Even without BBQ sauce the meat was amazing. Tender and oh so delicious. The Mac N Cheese was VERY rich so only had a few bites but from what I tasted it was delicious stuff! Ready to try the acutal restaurant sometime soon. Def a staple in Tulsa!

So, we decided the Burn Co was the place to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We didn't want to stand in line for 25 years, so we got there at 10:00 am. The prices are higher and the line is longer than the old location. The restaurant hours are to 14:30 and meat market to 17:00. We got the Happy Plate, since it was our anniversary, it definitely made me HAPPY! The meat is still the most flavorful ever, it doesn't need any sauce. The ribs are tender, variety of sausages are delicious, pulled pork is not too fat, bologna is smoky, chopped beef is one of my favorite, the fatty is a flavor bonanza! I have chicken legs yet to try, but they looked moist and delicious. Love the cole slaw and unusual potato salad. Mac and cheese is only Thursday and Saturday. As far as cost, the Happy Plate will easily be 4 meals for my husband and me. The minus, beside the line is it is all pretty salty and their sauces are mediocre, but none of that takes off any part of 5 star! They have a Facebook page if you want to keep track of what they are having on different days. There is parking on the street, in front, beside and behind the building.

Tulsa has a reputation of praising bad food and this is no exception. The line was about 20 people deep this morning so clearly there must be something worth the wait inside. There isn't. The brisket is absolutely disgusting. Spicy, dry meat with zero bark. Blasphemy in the bbq world but at Burn Co, it's acceptable for some reason. Pulled pork was okay until I found the under layer of pork from days past. I will not be returning. I'm extremely surprised at the positive reviews. Burn Co would not be top 10 in Dallas, Austin, or Kansas City. It being number 1 in Tulsa is a sad reflection of the state of BBQ in this town.

Best BBQ in Oklahoma! Ribs are amazing. Fatty is in a class of its own. Line can get a little long but it is worth the wait. Wednesday has the best special (Burnt ends)

When you come here don't be in a mood for just a snack. This place has very good BBQ. The problem is that they sell out of some to most things in about 2 hours or less. But nonetheless, the BBQ is delicious. I got there 6 minutes before closing and told me they were low on food. She said she could give me a "refugee" plate. When I got it, there was something more like a meal for a family. The meal had pulled pork, bologna, hot links, cole slaw, and baked beans. The baked beans were good. The cole slaw was ok. But the pulled pork was great with their BBQ sauce on it. The bologna was really good. When I got the key lime pie, I found out it was $5.43. It seemed overpriced but you get a mini pie. Overall, the golden rule is get there early.

Burnt ends is all I have to say. Shut up with this stuff my god it melts in your mouth! Okay so get there early wait in the line and suck it up you won't be disappointed! It's that good. I would for sure come here again next time I am in Tulsa!

I am a bbq snob! So when i visit the south, i get bbq when i can. It has to be perfectly smoked and perfectly moist and tender but not mushy. I ended up ordering the jalapeno & cheddar bratwurst , the lava bratwurst, baby back ribs, the brisket sliced and chopped with a side of coleslaw and grilled potato salad. All the meats were amazing!!! I waited in line for 20 minutes at 12pm on a Tuesday. Not bad, considering people around town were saying that the line could be over an hour long. BBQ sauce is used to add to the flavor to the meat and not to cover up for overcooked and dried out meat. I did not feel like i needed to use bbq sauce on any of the meats. They also have their own meat market where you can buy meat to smoke yourself. They all looked top quality and at a reasonable price for the quality. Let me rate each item that i orderd individually : Jalepeno and Cheddar Bratwurst (5/5) - It was amazing. It had a little bit of spice from the jalapeno bits and the bits of cheese inside the sausage melt in your mouth. They make their own sausage so it was also really fresh. Lave Bratwurst (4/5) - It was really good. It was spicy and it had a moist inside and a perfect crust to the casing. The jalapeno was better in my opinion but both are worth trying. Baby back ribs (5/5) - Best smoked ribs i have had. They were that good. They had perfect bark and seasoning. Perfect smoke ring and the meat had bite but was tender enough to take off the bone. That is really hard to do, especially with baby backs as they are not as forgiving as spare ribs. The theme for the ribs is perfect. Brisket (5/5) - The sliced brisket was really good. The way to test the brisket is to take a slice and pull it apart from each end. If it snaps like a rubber-band then you know you have cooked it well. It was moist and melted in your mouth. It was not tough at all and the flavor on each bite was tremendous. The chopped brisket was awesome too. Full of flavor but i always prefer sliced to chopped. Coleslaw (4/5) - It was very ordinary. Nothing special but simple enough to not take away from the flavors of the meat. A good side to eat between different meats. Grilled Potato Salad (5/5). It was really unique. I never had a potato salad that was not mayonnaise based while eating bbq. The onions contrasted the potatoes well and it was well seasoned. It was refreshing because it was not as heavy as traditional potato salad. When they were taking my order they realized i was from out of town. At the time they were sold out of the potato salad but gave me an order on the house without even telling me. They also gave me a rib to munch on until they brought out my food. Talk about A+ service. The only thing that disappointed was that they sold out of "the fatty". I enjoyed everything about burn co. I would come here more often if i could but its too bad i live on the west coast. This will me by go to bbq joint while in Tulsa. Job well done, Burn Co.!

Went here for an event. Super cool staff, awesome setup in side and then comes the food. The sausages that I tried were out of this world. Delicious beyond belief. Also ventured into enemy territory. I am NOT a blue cheese fan and have not ever liked it. I tried their burger with blue cheese and it was outstanding!!! I will def come back, but I am a little worried about the lines I hear about from everyone else.

Happy plate!!!!!! No where in OKLAHOMA can you find BBQ any better than this place.... There are no other places where you have to get there 30 MINUTES before opening to make sure you can get a seat... Show up at 10:30... .trust me.... Get in line, get a rib in hand, and then have a friend with you and an empty stomach.. .You might think about fasting before you come here so you can enjoy all the goodness that they have to offer... Order a Happy Plate.... the best money ever spent.. .You will have plenty to take home, but it will give you a taste of everything delicious they are serving that day... They guys are great, laughing and talking and engaging all the customers during the order process...... Go, do yourself a favor and GO.

I'm happy. Food has been consistently awesome, every time I come for feedings. Showed up 20 minutes before opening and was the 15th person in line. Live music was a nice touch. Scooter approves.

Damn good barbecue! Great atmosphere. Don't miss it. I was in Tulsa for a day and I had a 3PM flight so I thought I would catch this place for lunch before I left town and I'm glad I did. I had a small portion of pulled-pork and another small portion of brisket -- both were excellent. Their coleslaw is amazing and the beans were delicious. I also tried the sweet potato pecan pie -- my only complaint about it was the the crust was stuck to the aluminum dish and I could get it to release so I was forced to try and dig it out with my plastic knife and fork. The crust won, and the plastic-ware lost ;-) Nonetheless the filling was very tasty and I found myself wishing there was more. I'm a pilot for living and I collect BBQ places all over -- Burn Company is one that is worth coming back to.

Holy cow. These are the absolute best ribs I've ever had. If you like a dry rub and unbelievably tender meaty ribs, then this is the place for you. The smoked chicken was heavenly. The "fatty" was well worth the angina I may now have. Perhaps when I die and go to heaven, while I'm waiting to see Saint Peter, I hope they give out Burn Co samples like they do when you wait in line at Burn Co!!!! Meat overload!!!! As a man, it's my duty to finish my plate, but every time it's a difficult task because I get so full. It's absolutely worth going. But a word of advice, get there early or you're standing in a crazy long line!!!!

Seriously the best bbq in Oklahoma! First started going here when it was across the street from TU and it is cool to see how far it has come. Literally everything is amazing- today we had the smoked salmon and it was the best we had ever had. The line is worth it-try it out and you won't be disappointed!

I have been to one of the two iterations of Burn Co around 20 times or so in the past year. Each and every time I go it is a treat. As soon as you are anywhere close to the building you can smell their smoky aroma that will make any bbq lover hungry on the spot. Unless it is summertime I have to make my visits on Saturday due to work. As far as the bbq goes they have the best ribs in town. If and when you come here the ribs should be the first thing you order. As far as the sides go I have to say that their smoked mac and cheese is my favorite. I'm not too big on their smoked beans nor their grilled potato salad. I also love their chopped beef sandwich. With the new buildings came the additions of a meat deli, bar and plenty more seating. My advice is to get there and get in line before 10:15 so that you will not be at the back of a line that will be at least 80 long. Yes, their lines stay long and strong from the time they open at 10:30 until the time they run out of food and close just a few hours later. Get there, get in line and enjoy!

Unfortunately, it's been a few months since I visited Burn Co. Disappointing, to say the least. I'm used to the hype not = the food at bbq places, everyone sees 'que a little differently. However, I tried a pretty broad sampling of items at Burn and found them all wanting. Bbq beans were severely undercooked and flavorless. Potato salad lacked seasoning and was also flavorless. Sausage was dry and unappetizing. I know I had some other tastes/tries of add'l items, but these are the ones I recall. I'll give them another try, I know a few bbq fanatic friends who swear by this place, so it's deserving of another shot. I want Tulsa to have a world-class 'que joint!

This is without a doubt the best BBQ in the state. First time I came here was at their smaller location by TU, and I was apprehensive when they moved to a bigger location. However the quality is still there, and now the wait isn't quite as long. Think if I lived here I would take advantage of the on site butcher, although I doubt I could prepare anything as the people here. This is a definite place you have to come if you are anywhere near Tulsa, and if you are coming for lunch you better get here early.

Burn Co BBQ rivals Fraklins' BBQ in Austin, Texas. Unfortunately, Burns' operations are also very similar to Franklins- limited supply and an artificial line. I hope they would take a page out of Rudy's (a franchised bbq joint) playbook and increase their supplies and have more than 2 cashiers. I live right by the new location and sometimes bypass Burns as a lunch option because I don't want to wait an hour for some protein, albeit freaking delicious protein. You'd be doing yourself a huge disservice if you do not try their homemade sausages / brisket and ribs. Just leave some for the rest of us late risers ;)

There really isn't enough good things that I can say about The Burn. I am really not a "rib guy" and don't eat them anywhere else. In reality, I wouldn't have gotten them here if they hadn't been handing out free samples in line the first time I ate at their old location. I tried them and now go specifically for the ribs. I'll try other stuff that my friends get or if I have gotten there too late and they have run out of ribs, but really I go for the ribs. The grilled potato salad is delicious and so is the Mac and Cheese. They have a great selection of sausage and bratwurst if that's your thing as well. The Fatty is amazing but a little greasy for me to eat a whole one. They have really stepped up their game with the new location and my hope is that they will continue to expand and grow to new locations.

Burn Co's new location near 18th and Boston is even better (which is mind-bogglingly difficult to pull-off !) Their seating issues are resolved with 12-15 picnic style brown benches. They have added a bar (not fully operational yet, but, appears to be soon) that will serve local beer and they added a meat market whose butcher resides from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan! The kitchen's hours appear to be like before (10:30-2:30) but their meat market and bar hours will be until 5:30! The lines are as long as before, so, get their early and expect to wait a minimum of 20-30 minutes. That said, you can order meat to take home from the butcher or order beer while waiting! Their menu has expanded to include hamburgers and steak- both of which I've had and are up to Burn CO standard. Overall, it's better than ever and as anyone will attest- it's the best in town and for me easily the best I've ever had!

  • Matt B.

This place is all about the meat. Unassuming tables and food presentation, the people smoke meat as well as anybody I've ever encountered. I could be a prisoner of the moment but having tried excellent BBQ in other places of the country I believe their ribs stack up with anybody and don't have a need for much if any sauce much in the way a good steak is best enjoyed with only salt and pepper seasoned into the crust.

    (5)
  • Skeeter S.

A decent place for a decent meal. The ribs are the delicious fall-off-the-bone type. The rest of the meats are good. The sausage was extremely greasy and fairly gross. I wasn't overly impressed with the BBQ considering how much I've heard about this place. Burn Co is trying to work toward the "Austin, Texas Hippy BBQ" vibe, but they need to up their BBQ game first. I think they are working toward greatness if they can focus less on presentation and more on flavor. The "Fatty" is disgusting, a diarrhea of beef, bacon, sausage, and sweat that tasted more like something you would puke up than something you would want to eat. Now I know how awful the guys on Epic Meal Time feel everyday. The sauce is good, but lacks any heat. Decent meal, try the ribs, avoid The Fatty.

  • Alan B.

Best bbq around! I have been several times early in the morning to avoid the long line. I'll never wait in line for any food regardless of how good it is, but would go out of my way to be there before anybody else! On a side note, the line dies down after 12:30 or so. Ribs are the best and the "fatty" is unique, although a little too much for me at lunchtime. My only complaint is the order takers seem frazzled a time or two...and a bit impersonal other than that smiles all around. Good local Tulsa dive!

I'm finally getting a chance to review Burn Co in the new location. Today my buddy Rob and I made the trek in the cold for lunch. We arrived at 10:30 to find twenty people waiting for the door to open, but soon we were all inside surrounded by the aroma of smoking meat! It is interesting to see the staff hard at work, preparing for the rush of patrons. Smoke was pouring from the rows of Hasty-Bake ovens and mounds of different meats were being sliced, chopped and sauced. Rob ordered a small chopped brisket sandwich with bbq beans, and I had the lunch special for today: a burnt end sandwich, with a side of slaw. Order at the counter and then find a seat at the picnic tables in the dining area. Soon, our order came and what a meal! The burnt ends were a marvelous blend of savory and sweet, very tender with just enough well rendered fat to make the meat moist and tasty. The sauce was sweet, with a bit of heat that built up on the back of my tongue as I continued to enjoy my meal. Add the cole slaw and the lunch was bbq perfection. Of course there are many meat options to choose from: pulled pork, several varieties of sausages, (made in house by the way) and baby back ribs. All good reasons to plan another trip to 18th & Boston!

Is there such a thing as a BBQ rib better than Burn Co? It is the biggest reason that lines are always out the door for this place. The rest of the food they serve is also fantastic. The meat that comes out of their meat market are wonderful cuts that can be turned into lavish delights at your convenience, and the staff will give you ideas on how to cook it as well.

How do you run a restaurant if you run out of food at 130 pm. Really that's crazy. I think you need better management Un believe able

  • Paul B.

Ordered a chopped beef sandwich. The meat was so fatty and rubbery I couldn't finish the first bite. So gross. I've been to Burnco before and it was good. I hope they don't take their temporary success for granted and let the quality of their food slip. I asked for a replacement sandwich and the second attempt was great.

In short, pretty good food but they have three major issues: - Supply: 50% of the times in which I arrived past 12pm, they didn't have something. Most times is ribs. - Huge lines: could be solves with more employees. - Service: one if the employees acts as if he doesn't want to be there. Rude at times and not courteous whatsoever. If they solve this, they have five star place.

The husband, [picky] 4 yr old, and I were trying to decide what to eat for lunch. He suggested The Burn Co because he had heard great reviews. I'll admit I was skeptical, concerned it would be too pricey. Decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and so we went. We arrived at 12:30ish on a week day. The place was packed and we got in line. Asked what the Fatty was and found out this popular item was already sold out for the day! We settled on pulled pork for the hubs, brisket for me and sausage links for the kiddo. While I was standing in line, they were handing samples of ribs. I handed one to my other half to share and he ate the whole piece; I understand it was fantastic. When he delivered our food, the server apologized that our sausage links were delayed and gave us a complimentary pulled pork sandwich for our "trouble"; the links were only 2 mins later. The meats? Simply amazing. My daughter has never cared for pulled pork before but eagerly forked the delicious meat into her mouth. The portions were a great value for the prices and the meal completely exceeded our expectations in a number of ways!

Burn Co. is among the best barbecue in Tulsa.

OMGEEEEEE! That is a LOOOOONNG line! But the BBQ is well worth the wait. I got there 30 minutes before they opened on a Saturday and the line was already 20 people deep. I waited and waited for Burn Co to open their doors. Once the doors opened, the line moved quickly. I was relieved to see staff working their way down the line handing out menus and answering questions because I had a few. The line moved quickly and I didn't have to wait long to get my take out (recommended) order. I ordered the Happy Plate. And one extra side for me + 2. There was plenty of food for the 3 of us and every bite was savored. If Burn Co was a human.. It would be my twin flame.

Visited this BBQ joint after a referral from one of my customers and a strong Yelp rating. We experienced the long lines frequently mentioned...20+ minutes, even on a rainy day. And, while we were in line about noon, their famous potato salad and at least one meat entree sold out. My coworker and I ordered the large portions of sausage (tried braut and pork/venison) and chicken. Both servings were substantial, so much so we had about 1/3 of each left for a doggie bag. Both sausage flavors were juicy and flavorful but my favorite was the venison. I'm not a fan of dark meat so I didn't care for the chicken but 6 super-sized drumsticks for $7 is a bargain! My side of mac & cheese & bacon would have me eating here regularly, if I didn't live 8 hours away. Had we not been sharing, I'd have tried the brisket. But, since I didn't care for the chicken, I'm awarding only 4 stars. If I visit here again and the brisket is as tasty as the sausage and mac & cheese, I'll probably bump my review to 5 stars.

I am very disappointed in Burn Co BBQ. We tried to get in touch with BCB to have them cater a lunch for a Student Veterans Organization but they would not return our phone calls, emails or even Facebook Messages (which we know they saw because we saw the "read receipts." A simple "no" reply would have been fine but to completely snub us was a bit insulting. No matter how good I hear the food is I will not be using them for future events nor will I be a patron of this establishment.

  • Ben W.

Same Q, better spot. Line out the door? Check. Ribs falling off the bone? Check. Full butcher shop? Check. Same hasty bake BBQ goodness? Check. They may have moved, but the rib samples still come your way, enticing you to order the full ribs yet again. All the food and sides are as good as they ever were. Salty, but satisfying BBQ will be found here. More space means you can get here at 11 and still have a full range of the menu as opposed to the 10:30 bottleneck which ended many a lunch date due to Burn Co being sold out of everything. I thought the fatty was too salty for me, but I enjoy their other option. They may be a bit weak on the sauce side, but the food is so good, it's hardly a complaint. Overall the biggest issue may be parking. The more popular this place gets, the more spots they will need!

Behind the prominence of barbeque today is the notion that the common man can eat like a king. All for the price of a $10-12 plate. This past weekend I visited The Salt Lick ( yelp.com/biz/the-salt-li… ), one of the legendary Que venues. Citizens wait intently in a middle afternoon on Saturday -- or for that matter through the 3 hour line, only a two (2) hr wait when i visited back in 2012, at Franklin ( yelp.com/biz/franklin-ba… ). BBQ = modern populism. Musicians, artists, chefs and mere cooks hone their craft. They search for the best: methods, materials, ideas and ideals. We on Yelp travel aided by the word of others--seeking the best experiences we can during our short visits to near and far communities in search of appealing wonders. Our limitation, and also our guiding light, are the limitations posed in time/ money to acquire an excellent experience. Burn Co is worth of the search, and worthy of resource. It also just so happens to be beside the greatest coffee shop in the region ( yelp.com/biz/doubleshot-… ). Their signature is the Hasty Bake rib: tender, moist, fall-off-the-bone, trimmed to a perfect meat ratio, perfectly smoky, yet also perfectly crusted. This is the item most prone to sell out. They also offer excellence in the other staples: chopped brisket (the smaller size sandwich is plenty), pulled pork, sausages, the "fatty," along with daily specials. The sides are competent. Coleslaw has big fresh pieces of cabbage & radish, with an interesting, tangy dressing that is applied sparingly. A fresh complement to the meat that is the focus of your visit. Mac & cheese, available Thurs- Sat per the menu, is quite cheesy and pleasant. Beans are nothing fancy, quite smoky, and a little too much uniformity in their plain-ness for my taste. Burn caters, available in large quantities; and they cater well. I attended a Christmas party for 100 people. Even catered, on warmers for an hour before i arrived, it was still rock solid. Finally--my notes regarding the new location and the line: -Earlier this year they moved to the present location (3 times the size, 2-3 times the line). -Line forms before 11:00 each day; by 11:15, the peak line forms. -At peak, most weekdays are going to take you 30-40 mins to order. -Food is quite quick once you order. -Graveyard shift starts at 1220-1230. Been twice recently. Both times, the 40+ person line at peak dwindled to less than 10 by Noon-thirty. -Don't forget to grab an afternoon coffee/ beans at Double shot on your way out! Well-done, Burn Co. You're the best in this area; the gap is sizeable over your competitors. Bravo.

Amazing! This place will ruin you for other BBQ. The ribs are with bacon on, the fatty is truly great, the sliced brisket will melt in your mouth and can be cut with a spoon. The potato salad is great, but hard to get. The hot links are slightly sweet, and the lava links have a nice flavor that can be enjoyed. We go for work team building every now and then. Seating is tough and to get the food you want you must be there by 11 am. Be prepared for a line, but Is totally worth the wait. Best BBQ I have ever had.

Dang! I hate giving bad reviews, especially to my formerly favorite BBQ joint. As a "regular" customer, I wanted to spread the word to 12-14 of my best clients for a dinner meeting at our office. Having routinely fed 6-8 people for $10-12/person, I didn't really bat an eye when Shannon told us a budget of at least $200 would be necessary to "wow" our friends. Our order was simple: Put together a nice sampling of meats but be sure to include the ribs because they are the best. For sides we requested two: Mac n Cheese and BBQ beans. I inquired about the potato salad but Shannon said it would be terrible and soggy by the time we planned to eat at 5:30 (because they close at 2:30, so that was our pickup time). We picked up our order by closing time at 2:30 but left everything in the foil so it would stay hot or at least warm. Here's the problem. Instead of what we ordered, we got two racks of ribs, and one tin each of sausage and pork. Bologna? Nope. Brisket? Nope. Chicken? Nope. Happy Plate? Nope. As for the sides? We got a crapload of cole slaw and two personal sides (maybe 4 oz each) of beans. That is all. No mac n cheese was to be found. And this was for 12-14 people. Well Burn Co. was already closed so obviously we had no choice but to serve our guests. As expected, the ribs went fast and while there was enough freaking pork to feed 20 people, there's only so much pork a person can eat... and it was obviously left over from the end of the day, because it was sopping with fat and grease, absolutely disgusting and inedible (and I like to eat). And the bill? $215!!!! Having been convinced we got the wrong order, I went down to Burn Co the next day and talked to Nick who could not have been less helpful or interested in what I had to say. In fact, he admitted he packed our order but did nothing wrong because the only thing Shannon put on the ticket was "Stuff"... so that's what he packed. Glad they took my order seriously. I showed him pictures of our food that I took. He didn't care. He asked if we got enough food? I said yes, if all you want to eat is pork and cole slaw. He said he "threw" that in for us because he felt bad about running out of beans. I said it appeared to me that they ran out of everything and remembered our 2:30 pickup last minute and just "threw" stuff together. He said "sorry" but shrugged off any potential solutions. I told him I felt Burn Co was the best place in Tulsa for BBQ and I was really wanting to treat my clients to some "real" BBQ. I asked if what we got is representative of how Burn Co wants to present itself to potential customers and a regular customer, and he said yes. What about the famed Happy Plates? "Sorry we ran out of food. I at least remembered to put two racks of ribs back for you". Sorry? We called in our order at 10:30 that morning! He asked me what I wanted, and I said "How about what we ordered" to which he replied, "You got two whole pork shoulders!" Maybe he said pork butts but I was too pissed to even reply. After some back and forth, he agreed to give us a tray of mac n cheese and beans on our NEXT order. Really? He took down my name and number so that someone could call me back and smooth things over. Needless to say, I'm still waiting on my call. There's one thing I can't stand in the service/restaurant business, and that's arrogance. These long lines and people waiting for their doors to open has clearly spoiled them. They could care less about screwing up my order or the fact that I took time the next day to politely see what happened or that a regular customer just spent $215 for food I didn't even order. Is their food good? Yes. But not for take-out obviously... and don't go towards the end of the day because you'll get the worst cuts of picked-over meat ever. And they'll serve it to you because you're just another person in line. And there will be another long line the next day... At least for now. They were so much more customer-friendly at the old location.

Bravo.
