I had been here one other time; so, I thought it might be fun to bring my daughter and our dog. The seating on the patio is nice and not too close to one another. (Careful not to put your chair legs too close to the edge on the patio. You'll be wedged in that position until you leave.) Julie was our waitress. Not attentive whatsoever! Later, while leaving down the ramp, I learned why. Smoke breaks and talking to people in the parking lot was what she wanted to do for $2/hour. Aside from the need of napkins and ice for my tea, the marinated chicken salad and nachos where yummy!!!! Management was seen about which is rare in most places. I will return and hope for better service.

I have been here several times and always enjoyed it. A friend that I met here on this trip made the comment that the past six months they have gotten bad reviews. Sadly, I have to agree with the bad reviews. I ordered mushrooms as my dinner and when they came out you could tell they had been sitting around. They were not hot and juicy like cooked fresh mushrooms. They quickly replaced them and all was good. Then they brought out our checks and after running my card and brought back, they had charged my card for the largest check at our table, along with charging that person also. After showing the mistake I was told they would take care of it. They took care of it by bringing a new printout and apologized that they couldn't get the price down completely so they brought me a quarter. Needless to say the quarter was their tip. I am so sad.

I make better nachos in my kitchen with my eyes closed and both hands tied behind my back, don't get the nachos.

We opted for here after Boston's Deli because we walked out Boston's after the host was so rude to us all. Thr service at The Blue Rose was exemplary and the food w as fantastic. Perfectly cooked burger. Their house-made salsa was fresh, flavorful and just delicious. Next time I'm in Tulsa and hungry for a great burger, we're heading here.

The patio is beautiful and this COULD be such an amazing spot if the service was good and it didn't always seem disorganized and the staff appears intoxicated and burnt out. Such a disappointment. The food is fine being that it's american bar food - I just have felt the running of the place is a hot mess.

We went on a busy day. The drinks took a while and so did the food. This is somewhat understandable given how busy it was, though. But, the food was terrible. I'm assuming it sat under the heat lamps for a while because 6 out of the 8 of us said our dish was dry and tough. Items were forgotten, it took so long to get the food that one person had to leave and take it to go. We sat down, ordered drinks, ordered food, ate quickly, asked for check immediately, and we were there over an hour and a half. Will most likely not go back.

This was once one of our favorite local spots. Each time we've gone over the last 6 months, the service and food have gotten progressively worse. Tonight one of our burgers came to us without any meat!! They corrected it, but didn't even comp any part of the meal. Everyone was half finished with the meal by the time it was corrected. The service was horrible. We had to ask for everything at least twice and sometimes three times. Some things (like a straw) we never received. It will probably be quite some one before we give this place another shot.

I found myself on a business trip in Tulsa, looking for somewhere interesting to go for dinner. A coworker sings the praises of Blue Rose, so I figured I would give it a try. Maybe my expectations were too high. Maybe I am spoiled with the food scene in Nashville, but this was nothing to write home about. The food was OK, the venue was standard and service was just blah. Substitutions were not allowed on anything on the menu which surprised me. They did have a nice view from the patio but that was about it.

Food was good, but not anything spectacular. Watched our waitress put our order in about 10 minutes after she took it, then waited another 40 for it to actually come out. Our waitress didn't stop to check on us after that until we asked for the check, which we had to wait another 15 minutes for her to come back and get. Probably will not be coming back

The food was generously portioned and the view was great! I had the Blue Rose Special, a tasty bacon and blue cheese burger and excellent fries. Unfortunately, the service wasn't as good as the food. Our food took a noticeably long time to arrive, and we struggled to get refills and our check during the course of the meal.

Great food. Great beer selection and full bar. Outdoor seating. Looks over the river. I always sit at bar. Great service. Friendly bartenders.

Don't go there... worst service and food of any place I know of in Tulsa. Three bad experiences for me. Over cooked burgers, slow and incompetent staff... have nothing good to say about the place.

It's hard not to be enchanted by Blue Rose Cafe every time you drive/walk/run/bike/rollerblade past it on Riverside. It sits alone on a stretch of beautiful land overlooking the Arkansas river and downtown Tulsa with a patio. What more could you ask for? Well, my vote is for more than OK food. The menu is full of the American food standards. All of the burgers, chicken sandwiches, and french fries you could ask for! Don't come if you want to have a tastebud explosion. The service is great -even on busy nights. They were slammed when we were here the other weekend and our waitress was sweet and empathetic for our wait. I will continue to come here for the french fries, cheap beer, live music (especially when it is Mark Gibson and Ryan Magnani) , and the view!

    (3)
  • Johnny S.

Dirty...sticky...bartender needs to find a new job! River has water, they has live music, all they need to do is clean the place up! Parking is a problem here. Homeless/vagrants hanging around the area especially next door at Elwoods.

Horrible service. Wait staff didn't seem to care. Never asked how I wanted my burger cooked and it came back well done, although the meat seemed to have been from frozen anyway. Dry, tasteless burger I couldn't even eat. And I was SO HUNGRY. My children both got burned grilled cheese sandwiches. My beer was VERY, VERY sour as one would find from very dirty tap lines. It was the single most awful food experience I have ever had. I never really complain ever, but I just couldn't justify spending 45$ on food that was hated overall. My children complained-- and they eat their own boogers! I tried for weeks to get my money back. But I had to talk to the owner multiple times after leaving many messages that were not responded to. This is After the initial evening of being totally dismissed by their "manager". I received many gift certificates (never used, never been back, and never will) and many assurances that they have "one of the best burgers in Tulsa", what a crock! Most definitely one of, if not THE worst burgers in Tulsa. I did, finally get my money back, the first time I have EVER asked for my money back. Just horrendous. Don't waste your time and money. Gross.

Wish I liked this place a bit more, because it was a suggestion from a local that my husband knows, but I just wasn't feeling it. Granted the suggestion was that it is a great place for live music and it was close to the river walk, however we did come around lunch time and their live acts are at night. The food was just ok, nothing that stands out. My catfish was flavorful, but kept falling apart. My husband didn't care for the chicken salad, it had too much cheese on it. The wait staff seemed really stressed out even though most of the customers seemed to be eating at their leisure. It was a little busy, but not super crowded. Our waitress didn't really check in with us and took a while to get the bill. My onion ring order got placed late, but they were nice enough not to charge us for it. Maybe the night ambience is where it's at.

Nice location. Food is okay, just a regular American food place. Nothing too exciting

Missed an item on my to go order. Went back in to get it, and sat at the bar for over 30 minutes waiting on a BLT (the simplest of sandwiches) this place is awful never going back again

Horrible service. Mediocre food. The beer was cold. I was not impressed. Great view from the patio.

  • Colin M.

Blue Rose is a great place to go grab a drink and soak in the prime location overlooking the Arkansas River. The food however, is very mediocre. It seems like they know they will continue to stay busy because of the location, so they put very little effort into the food. I had the marinated chicken breast with steamed veggies and rice. All items very bland. Worth checking out for the view alone!

  • Lisa B.

You are only going for the setting because the food is unremarkable. Our visit started with the rudest hostess imaginable. Luckily our server was nice and worked well with our large group. Chicken tender salad was tasteless, burgers left unfinished, cheese fries were fine.

  • Jeff D.

Every time we go we swear we won't go back because of terrible service. Everyone that works there seems to have a chip on their shoulder. We waited almost an hour for a patio table (even though we saw empty tables all over the place). We finally got seated and a waitress still hadn't shown up 20 minutes later. We asked the hostess if we could just snag an empty table inside since we weren't getting waited on outside, she was rude and said she would put us back at the bottom of the wait list! They literally had empty tables everywhere. We will not be back. The problem is they are the only restaurant on the river and they know it.

Went right after work last Friday night before they got too crowded. We sat on the patio by the river and that was nice, but the waitress seemed kind of irked that she was having to wait on us. She took our order reasonably quickly, but was just short with us, and by the time she brought the food out we needed drink refills, but she looked right at our cups and just walked off. She didn't really come back to check on us after that, and I had to go find a different waitress to get drink refills. The food was reasonably good, but you are definitely paying for the location more than the food. Cheese fries or fried mushrooms are about $9 and burgers start at about $9. If you want to sit on a patio and relax by the river, it might be worth it but if you're just wanting good food there are lots of places in Tulsa with better, cheaper food. Our bill came to $55 before tip for 4 adults and one child for appetizers, a kids meal and soft drinks. Not completely outrageous, but a little high for a place with such lackluster service and pretty ordinary food. Oh, and one of our party ordered hot chocolate (which was on the menu) in addition to our other drinks because it was a little chilly on the patio, and when it came it was just murky brown water, like they had taken a 20 oz cup of water and dissolved a packet made for a 6 oz cup of cocoa in it. We would have complained to the waitress but we didn't see her again until we got our check and by then we just wanted to go. Anyhow, everything else aside, the service by a waitress who was clearly too cool to be refilling drinks for us makes it where I can't really recommend this place. The young man I was with said "Let's not go back there again." and that's pretty much my review.

I went for a happy hour. It was ok the view was cool and the staff was nice. The food was ok. nothing really outstanding but it was a nice place.

If only this could get a zero star rating. This is BY FAR the WORST restaurant in Tulsa. The food is absolutely terrible, the wait staff is just as terrible. I ordered a $9.00 plate of cheese nachos which were the crumbles out of the chip bag with shredded cheese microwaved on top and small plastic cup of, probably, pace salsa. That was it. So I asked for sour cream which was a teaspoon of sour cream in a plastic cup for $2.00. My husband ordered a burger, which was grey. Are burgers supposed to be grey!? While we trying to chew this stuff they call "food" a waitress pulled out our chairs so she could sweep underneath us. I presume, this was so she could go home for the day. SO RUDE. The decor is awful! It looks like someone took a gun, filled it with hokey crap and sprayed it all over the walls. It's over whelming. This restaurant does not deserve it's cool location, what a shame.

Uhm...sick. Seriously..here is my break down. The outside is cool....looks awesome but booyy will you be deceived once you get in there. The inside is tacky as all hell. Really bare with a combination of tall tables and short all slam packed together. The wait staff is TERRIBLE. Mostly a bunch of teenage-twenty something girls who talk loudly and do not pay attention to the customers (my fiance and I were front row to a waitress telling a story about how she is sleeping with her friends husband) seriously? I'm not prude...but damn I don't want to hear that shit while I'm eating...talk about classy! We were sitting right next to the kitchen and could hear the cooks cussing each other out..again not prude but its kinda like...uh really? Waitress standing by food talking to the manager kept taking down her hair and playing with it....kinda grossed me out. Started out with the cheese fries and they were terrible...tasted and felt like week old defrosted fries put in the microwave with cheap cheese and precooked bacon. I got the "marinated" chicken salad....burnt chicken chunks on plain old lettuce with some cheese, an egg, and some wilted carrot slices. The house ranch was okay. My fiance had the chicken sandwich and it came out drenched in grease..the bun was falling apart. He said it was pretty much tasteless and rubbery. I was going to have a beer but both my fiance and I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Its sad because they snagged a really good location that in my opinion they are wasting. So I say...AVOID!!!

  • Danica C.

Decent food...nothing really stands out, but the delivery is consistent on these bar/grill dishes. They have good beers on tap and some decent wines, and it is a great place to sit on the deck and watch the sun set over the river. The service is a bit dodgy...sometimes the servers are nice, and other times they barely notice you. I don't think this is the servers' fault - often it looks like the place is either understaffed or lacking structure from management. Still, it's a solid go-to for hanging by the river.

    (3)
  • Mike E.

The food is okay- Its just a greasy burger joint. I was extremely disappointed that the black bean burger I was served on my last visit was a simple store bought boca burger- it didn't have a single black bean in it- pretty obviously a grocery store burger. I wish they would have had at least admitted it when I asked. They have the exact same food and cups as eskimo joes- I'd be willing to bet Stan Clark has his name on a check somewhere...

I went on Saturday night for drinks and live music...the bartender was nice...making great drinks the music was good..the place was not packed but the venue is still nice. I have had the food before, but it did suck the fact the kitchen was closed by midnight...still had a great time.

    (4)
  • B B.

SO disappointed! It is brand new and has a great location right on the river. So what could be wrong? 1. Bartender was so rude to me 2. Waitress was rude as well. 3 Food took a long time to come and then was boring, not exciting and overpriced 4 Alcohol way overpriced. I with with a party of 8 and everyone was disappointed. Next time I want to see the river, I'll take a walk on Riverside.

Decent food. I've had better.... I've had much...much worse. The common complaint seems to be the waitstaff, which I can't argue with. They simply seem overworked. And this was on what I assume was a slow Saturday afternoon. There was no wait to get our table, and our food arrived quickly, but getting refills and extra napkins took an act of congress...the current Republican one. And I felt like Barack Obama. I really liked the atmosphere of the place when the guys who had passed their football prime weren't clapping rabidly when OU did a good thing. And that's probably the biggest problem with this place...take out half(or all for that matter) of the TVs and turn the volume down a little, get a hip local band to play on the corner stage I was sitting on, and you might be able to call this place pretty rad. If I ever have a bar...watch out Tulsa. Your "bar culture" will be revolutionized.

My daughter took me there in August, 2011. It is fast paced and a little loud but I I went because I was told the food was good. I really enjoyed the food (try the blackened chicken) and had a great time. I look forward to my next trip to Tulsa to visit my family and the Blue Rose.

  • Frannie P.

Went there with a party of 6 at 7 tonight (friday) and were seated indoors at 8. Service was attentive; food was okay but nothing exciting. 2 burgers with fries, 2 cocktails, and 2 beers set us back $55 after tip. Inside was very loud but it was really hot outside. Will go back another night this summer after 9 pm to try out the patio. There's a really pretty amount of water in the river and I can imagine that this place is busy- in spite of mediocre food- for a reason! Drinks were strong and well-mixed.

  • Reba S.

Blue Rose is alright. I wouldn't go for the food. Just for drinks and the view. The stars are for Elwood's, though. Next door to Blue Rose. Something fun to do on a nice Sunday: rent a bike (if they work!), enjoy the park, grab a beer at the cool outdoor bar, and listen to some live music. Tuesday nights they show movies on the lawn, which I've heard is neato.

  • Steve A.

I went on a Friday night for beers and appetizers. The waitress didn't seem too happy. They didn't have any drink specials. We had loaded nachos and they were a great compliment to the beer. The best feature of this place is the open air seating, but it was closed due to the weather. I would recommend going in the spring or summer when you can enjoy the view of the river.

  • Paul P.

We had a very nice time. The wait staff was courteous and efficient. The Spinach Salad with Blackened chicken salad (an old favorite) was excellent. The burgers looked good as well. Great ice tea and you get to keep the plastic cup. Thank you!

Multiple health violations, poor bartenders, and more amps than a kiss concert. I really, really, really wanted to like the Blue Rose, but we have had multiple poor experiences and will never return. 1) Nachos were served to my girlfriend and I with raw chicken underneath the platter. They did give us free drink coupons, but it was hardly worth eating half a meal to discover uncooked chicken. 2) Bartender I had was very unsociable, put his thumb inside the rim of the glass when serving the drink, had difficulty keeping up with orders, and served us the wrong mixed drinks. 3) We tried to give it one more try on a Friday night. However, the band playing that night hooked up multiple speakers and played so loudly my ears felt like they were bleeding. We couldn't converse or enjoy our dinner. The Blue Rose is not so vast you need to play over the crowd. They should take a lesson from Elwood's, which provides a nice, smooth level of music well attuned to an open stage. It allows you to both enjoy one another while also enjoying the music. The one positive side of the Blue Rose is the location; however, this positive pales in comparison to the poor quality staffing, food, and environment.

  • Monica H.

I had a blackened chicken sandwich. And it was awesome. The service, however, was terrible. We waited for nearly ten minutes after we were sat, and even then, one of us had to get up and grab a server to even get started with drinks. The server seemed irritated to have to wait on us. The employees in general came off pretty rude, except for the first host that initially sat us. I'd go back for a to-go order - based on the taste and the speed with which it came out, it seems like the kitchen has it together. But the FOH staff was awful, awful, awful.

    (2)
  • Aaron F.

We chose to sit outside on the patio, which overlooks the river. Nice view and service. However the food was overpriced and inconsistent. The $10 Blue Rose burger special was supposed to be cooked medium - it was beyond well done. The junior burger was only meat and bread with four pickle slices on the side - nothing else. The onion rings were not available - as the fryer was broken. To substitute a salad instead of the onion rings, it was an additional $3. Overall the location is really nice, but the food and cost isn't worth the location.

  • Amanda S.

The Blue Rose had limitless potential but has been a bit of a disappointment in actuality. For starters, whoever designed the place obviously never designed, or maybe even dined in a restaurant before. The floor is bumpy, uneven and textured which means - you guessed it - perma-wobbly chairs and tables. The staff, God bless them, gamely tries their best with a stock of table wedges but it's a bit of an exercise in futility. The kitchen is also too small and there aren't enough wait stations, all design flaws that put the restaurant and staff at a disadvantage from the get go. Dave and the other staff have done an amazing job with what they have to work with, but this concept had the potential to be amazing in the right hands. Luckily you can't go wrong with a great patio, cocktails, and a plate of cheese fries, so the Blue Rose is the place to be on that first warm spring afternoon and all summer for live music. A re-doing of the textured floor would be the number one thing I'd recommend for this restaurant to create a better atmosphere indoors. This concept still has the potential to be great, but a restaurant pro (or maybe input from the staff) is needed to correct some of the initial design flaws.

  • Karla Roxanne M.

The bartender is friendly. I've tried a few items on the menu and will never try anything again. Dried out burgers, overly cooked salty chicken... Even my kid picked the nasty greasy breading off his freezer burnt catfish. The area on the outside of the restaurant is disgusting, they keep food out in pods on the lawn by the dirty grease trap and the dumpsters. Who knows what's crawling around there. I recommend going if you need a drink during a jog or biking on the path or if you're looking to date a biker :-D

Went here for the first time with a group of 7 co-workers at lunch on a weekday. After reading these other reviews, I'd say we lucked out in that our waitress was actually pretty attentive. I don't recall any issues. The atmosphere is fun, but it was almost too loud for a weekday at noon. The ambiance/noise level seemed more appropriate to a Friday night. Not too big of a deal though. We had the fried veggies appetizer which was honestly kind of terrible. It was not seasoned at all. Also, the veggies were soggy instead of crispy, so I'm not sure what went wrong there. However, my black bean burger and fries were yummy. Not the best I've ever had, but pretty good. Overall, a decent place and I'd eat here again with a group, but I wouldn't go here on my own. I think its location is most of its appeal.

This is a real hidden gem. I had no idea it existed until I purchased a living social for it. The restaurant is located at Riverside Park in Tulsa. It is a little building with outside and inside seating. The walls are decorated with 60s and 70s artwork and memorabilia. But you want to hear about the food. I ordered the catfish with fries and a side salad. Of course I got my favorite dressing, honey mustard. My dining partner, Leesa ordered chicken fried chicken with beans, fried okra, and a side salad. My food was good, but the fish was a bit spicy. Her chicken was to die for. It was crispy and delicious. I would recommend the chicken fried chicken because it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I plan on ordering that next time we dine there.

I got the blackened chicken sandwich. It was cool. A little kick with the orange marmalade, grilled pineapple & lettuce. The fries were pretty good as well. Nothing over the top. I loved the view from the patio. Highly recommended during sunny weather.

So far I am not too impressed. It is a Saturday evening so I expected it to be busy which it is but as my husband and I sit inside waiting for our name to be called I continuously watch as tables sit empty. I watched one table sit for almost 20 minutes without a hostess siting it. If I was the server who had that table I would be pissed. After awhile we finally got seated our waitress has just been ok. Not very friendly... and acts like she doesn't want to be here. 2 different food runners has came to our table and tried to give us someone elses food. We shall see if we get our correct food! I had higher hopes for this place. I had the chicken salad platter is was ok. My husband had the hickory bacon cheeseburger fries sucked but he said the burger was pretty good. I asked our server if they had any key lime pie tonight and right away she said no. My husband gave her this look like are you sure? Then she proceeded to say well I don't know let me go see. That was 15 minutes ago. Still waiting in her to come back..... Since our waitress never came back I had to track down the manager to get us our check. When she gave us our check she said she will give us change if we need it. Um yeah I would say so! Needless to say she never came back so after another 10 minutes I went up to the bar to get my change. Not coming back. Went to 3 stars to 1

Probably my favorite patio in all of Tulsa. Right on the river there are always people buzzing around in the area. You can eat goodness and have mimosas! ($2 that is) perfect location for Sunday Funday! Elwood's is awesome too! They show movies during the week in the summer and you can sit on the grass and have a beer!! Awesome combo

This is the first time I've ever had to leave an establishment and write a review before I walked through the front door. They adverised that they would have july 4th specials in the newspaper and then closed for a private party. We would normally understand but the attitude of the staff was unexceptable. Very sad to have to write a negative review without even walking into the place.

Good band. Great waitress. Food was definitely forgettable. Actually, I did forget what we all had. Drinks? Average. Atmosphere? loud, busy and loud. The misting in the summer helps.

Read the unfavorable reviews before coming here and wondered, but a friend of mine who lives in Tulsa recommended it, so met him for lunch while I was in town from Dallas. Since we are both ex-members of the kitchen staff at Eskimo Joe's, we passed on the cheese fries. But the blackened chicken sandwich, which I ordered hot, was solid. Side of baked beans had good flavor, so really no complaints. Sage was our waitress and earned high marks for keeping the drinks filled and being very attentive even as the place filled up at lunchtime. Great setting on the Arkansas River, which was pretty low when we were there. It's almost at the spot where I remember watching the old Great Raft Race as a kid, but I totally dated myself with that reference. Next time I am back in my hometown, will definitely give this place some of my time.

I have been to the Blue Rose a few times now. The food is good but not remarkable. The service is very hit and miss. If you go here make sure you don't have anything firmly scheduled for the hour after since you will likely wait for service and then have to deal with getting the correct bill. If you are good looking and come alone chances are the wait staff will pay alot of attention to the point where you could pick yourself up a date for later on. Hey everyone has needs I guess. If you come with a companion, regardless of your relationship status with them, your chances of being paid attention to go way down. Just my observation over the times I have been there. Not saying this is bad or good, just saying that it's just the way it works over there.

The sampler, which has blackened chicken, veggies, mushrooms, onion rings is wonderful... if you like fried foods. I hadn't been here in a long time before the other night. I had stopped coming because I thought they were over priced and the food was mediocre. I just drank, but a friend got the sampler and I was impressed.

If I was only rating the location and atmosphere I would give this place 5 stars. I love the physical aspects of this restaurant/bar. But I also went there for food with my girlfriend and her mother. I don't eat out that much so when I do I want to have a good if not great experience. The Blue Rose was not that. The service was passable, not horrible but not good. I ran out of water twice, after we got our food we didn't even see the waitress for at least 10-15 mins later. I had the Elwood Special which is huge but not anything to write home about. The french fries and onion rings were most definitely frozen at some point. I was not really impressed with the food at all, especially since pretty much all the menu items start at almost $10. I might got back for a few drinks with friends but I probably will not eat there again.

I was a big friend when this place was on Brookside so I was really excited when the new Blue Rose opened up. To be 100% fair, I've gone twice. Both times my experience was so incredibly horrible that it seemed like it must have been scripted. There is an incredible wait to get seated even when there are free tables everywhere. Then, the waiters and waitresses just act like you don't even exist. When they finally take your drink order you can expect to wait another 20 minutes or so before they actually bring your drinks. Finally, the food is overpriced and the portion sizes are a joke. The quality of the food wasn't half bad, but that didn't make up for being ignored by our server. When it came time to pay it took almost another 30 minutes for them to bring the ticket, take my card and return with it for me to sign. When I finally got my receipt to sign the waitress didn't have a pen and couldn't find one. I asked the bartender for a pen but she looked around and said, "well, I don't have one...sorry." So, I couldn't even sign my name on the receipt or give a tip.

Went to Elwoods which is next door to Blue Rose on a beautiful Summer Friday night. Great service and great bluesy live music. Friendly, laid back crowd. People, dogs skaters going by on riverside trail. Loved it and will be back. PS. Went back the next weekend. Still like the music, setting and service. The bathrooms were disgusting. I didn't use them last time, so don't know if this was typical. So my rating went from 5 stars to 3 based ont he bathroom.

The new Blue Rose is located at 19th & Riverside in a new building overlooking the river. Much of the menu is the same as the old Blue Rose. They have inside seating along with a large deck outside. Decent selection of beers on tap. Good place to hang for drinks. We tried the cheese fries, blue cheese burger, and nachos. All were fresh and flavorful. Blackened chicken strips and blackened chicken salad are great. Unfortunately the service has been hit or miss. Bartenders are sometimes rude and unattentive. Pretty much have to tackle someone to get a drink. I've been back to Blue Rose quite a few times and the service has been increasingly terrible. If you go, be prepared to be ignored by waitresses and bartenders. Based on service, I changed my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars. They have local bands on weekends. Check their website or Facebook for the music schedule. Parking is extremely limited and if you venture toward either end of the lot looking for a space, there's no way out and difficult to turn around. We parked over near 21st & Boulder and walked. Nice to see a unique local place on the river - hope they get their service ironed out.

I was staying at the delightfully vintage McBurney Mansion on a work trip, and I decided to take a stroll along the river front to find a good place to get some grub. The youngster at the hotel told me about the Blue Rose Cafe and said it was a nice, hip, good place to eat on the waterfront. Welll.....he got waterfront right. It definitely has a nice view. And if you're going out with some friends for a drink and you're lucky and wiley enough to get a table out on the patio, you're probably in for a nice evening. But, we weren't expecting the wait that we had in store for us, which was longer than we were told it would be. And thus, since we had somewhere to be, we had to order something we thought might be "quick" off of the menu (BLT...how hard can that be). The BLT was up to standards. It had bacon, lettuce, and tomato on it. But, it was certainly nothing special and not worth the elevated price we paid for it. Which brings me to the bill. For work purposes, we did have to split up the bill. But, we all ordered BLT's. So, it should have been fairly simple. Everyone gets a sandwich and whatever various beverage they had. But, out of three bills, not one was correct. One person had two sandwiches. One person had too many drinks. And the last person only was paying for a soda. I'm not sure exactly how this happened, but we ended up just having to pay it and work it out later so that we didn't miss our appointment. Needless to say, I will not be a patron at the Blue Rose Cafe again during my trips to Tulsa. In a city that size, I'm sure there are better and more intelligent places to obtain a decent meal.

Very cool spot on the water but food and drink options are limited but okay. I'd say of the four items at our table, my blackened chicken sandwich was best which aligns with the other reviews. It doesn't look that special but it is pretty good with the pineapple.
