My friend and I went here for brunch on a Saturday and the place was pretty busy. You order at the counter and then they bring your food out to you. Because it was pretty crowded, there weren't any tables inside. We went outside and found a table and thought it wouldn't be too bad. They brought our our drinks pretty quickly but it took forever for our food to be ready. I actually think they forgot b./c we saw other tables who sat down after us get our food so we had to remind a waitress who walked by and then she brought the food out. Also, b/c of all that waiting, we were really hot! They have a few fans out there, but we were sweating and getting uncomfortable. It would definitely been better if we could have sat inside. I ordered a mimosa, bloody mary and breakfast tacos. The drinks were good but the tacos were just ok. You have to put them together yourself and I thought the eggs could have used more flavor to them.

I'm a fan for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some of the portions are smaller but they're filling and fresh. A couple dishes can def be split like the nachos! They serve egg dishes, pastries, classic sandwiches, salads and burgers. They also serve good quality booze. Coffee is Lavazza brand. Interior is cute, modern, but small. They have outdoor seating which is great for the warm seasons. Place can get busy but they seem to do a good job of managing crowds, getting people their food, and moving them along.

This is my kind of place! Thank you, Yelp, for never failing me. I simply typed breakfast and this lovely place came up. It was the perfect start to my day trip to Tulsa with my boyfriend. I had the breakfast tacos. They weren't bad but once I saw the English muffin sandwiches on another table, I knew I would have to get that for next time. I'm all about fresh baked goods and those English muffins simply looked heavenly. I loved the vibe here. I can definitely see myself being a regular if I lived in Tulsa. Maybe even duchess ;) haha. Anyway, this is a chill spot and I look forward to returning. It was super packed though so be aware! I'm assuming it's always like that because it's that good.

Blue Moon is a great little place to meet for breakfast, brunch, lunch, whatever suits your fancy! The breakfast tacos are delish, as is the oatmeal, French toast, and quesadilla. Sit on the patio if the weather permits! It's like stepping out into another city. I have yet to try any drinks other than coffee, but the adult libations sound amazing! I love all the fun salt and pepper shakers they have, too.

Looking for a good cup of coffee, a quiet spot to read in the morning, a place to have a small girls brunch? This is a great option. Blue Moon has homemade breads for sale, they have a great normal everyday menu, and they have specials. I always get the Cecil. It's yummy. However, they also make a mean everything!!! I have never had something bad. Portions are good sized, you most likely can take some home. Staff is always helpful. They always let me get a cup of coffee even though I'm not ready to order or I'm waiting on others, then let me pay for it later. This isn't my favorite breakfast spot, but it is a dang good one!

This place is becoming a go-to. Prefer for lunch/ brunch to dinner. Like the menu better, and the price-value ratio, I feel is also better. Favorites are the "other favorite grilled cheese" (complete with olive tapenade" and the "Brookside" (spicy jalapeno bread, ham, cheese, grilled onions, and spicy mustard). Love adding the black-eyed peas as the side ("I'm addicted and I just can't get enough.") Their soups, and lunch special of the day are worth trying. Last time had a "slaw" type dinner salad in a champagne vinaigrette, topped with shaved prosciutto and pulled chicken. Sounded crazy; I bought in; was great. Only con: I've found the baked goods a little bit hit or miss. Service comes out with a smile. Seems like the staff stays around. Limited full bar. Recommended.

Yum, Yum, Yum! This is my absolute favorite brunch spot on Brookside. Lots of different things to choose from as far as food goes and cocktails to boot! Patio is usually packed on sunny day weekends and its pet friendly (with leashes of course) I get the whole wheat pancake and a mimosa! Sometimes a side of bacon :) The wait staff is so great and always makes sure to clean tables fast and are as helpful as possible! My favorite brunch spot in Tulsa!

as a brookside dweller, I have been here quite a few times. I LOVE the atmosphere, the friendly service, the laid back vibe, the patio with the cute lights, and the wide selection of menu items. however, today was the first day that I actually found something off the menu that I want to go back for.. I really REALLY wanted to like this place (due to the items above..) but never found anything THAT tasty. until today. get their egg quesadilla. it will rock your world. as for lunch/dinner.. I always come for brunch so I couldn't really help with that. it is quite crowded on the weekends. take note that you will have to talk loudly and may have a hard time finding a seat. but it's worth it. also, if you're looking for a cheap breakfast place to go to, this probably isn't it. be willing to pay a little more than a cheap breakfast for a fun atmosphere & great staff.

Great brunch spot for an early Sunday morning bite after church! I had the bagel with egg and cheese, minus the cheese because dairy is not my friend, so really just a toasted bagel with egg. Can't go wrong there. The Husband had his usual fare of eggs over medium, toast, and bacon. Again, a winner. If I could drink, this is where I would come for a boozy brunch concoction. The menu looked so good! Seating was really slim pickin' for 0900 on a Sunday but we made do. Apparently more people are up and at it after a Saturday night here than they are where I cam from, Houston. Good for you, Tulsa! Get after it!

Let me start my saying the food was excellent. Unfortunately, one of the waitresses and both owners were short tempered and rude to my wife. Flying off the handle at her (my wife) instead of having a respectful, open dialogue. One of the owners did nothing but scowl at me while we were there, with no reason. Even when I extended pleasantries. We might have received a refund on our meal... But we won't be back. There are too many other respectable, well run establishments in our wonderful town to have to chance such unfortunate behavior.

Quaint little spot with delicious and unique food. I had the grilled cheese and potato and leek soup for lunch. Love the patio and atmosphere!

Breakfast was average but good. Coffee was ok. OJ was packaged. The space itself was great. The service was also very personable and nice. Would it be a place we would come back too.. yes. :)

What I love about Blue Moon is the consistency. Everything I've ever had on the menu is great. From the breakfast to lunch and everything in between. One of my favorite menu items is the burger. It's big and perfect. It also includes my favorite fries (beer battered) I'm really at a loss for what else to say, they crush it all around. Friendly people, great layout and vibe. They also have a great outdoor space for those spring days.

Half off appetizers Tues.-Sat. , 5-7PM, that can act as a delicious meal? Beautiful art and lighting? Lovely covered patio overlooking Brookside? Sweet treats? Perfect wine list? Does it get much better? Hopefully, you get my point. This place rocks. One, try the nachos. Easily can feed four as an appetizer. I've been known to order only this during happy hour for my meal and end up having to take half home. (Serving sizes on all dishes I've had here are generous!) Two, order a glass of wine. The ambiance is too perfect not to! The chardonnay is my go-to here. Three, sweet potato fries. They are perfectly cut with the right amount of crisp. Four, relax and have a sweet treat from their bakery. Five, take it all in when you're here. Goodness beams from the friendly staff, food, art, and location!

I tried their pork chile verde with eggs today. It was delicious and just the right amount of spicy. It's a beautiful day and the restaurant was packed, but we luckily snagged two seats at the bar by the window. The mimosa was decent...orange juice was a little tangy and cost almost $6.

This is one of my go-to brunch spots in Tulsa. I really enjoy the setup - order at the counter and seat yourself. Their patio is really nice, and it is even dog-friendly. Their salt-and-pepper shaker collection adds an especially fun atmosphere. Their drink selection is rather extensive, though I have never ordered a drink there. The food is always cooked very nicely. Their most outstanding menu options are the Hispanic-inspired dishes: Huevos Rancheros, Migas, Chili Verde con Huevos. They always have some tasty and inventive dishes on their specials menu, like Stuffed Poblanos or Chicken Tamales. One of my other favorites is the Breakfast Wrap; the cooked red cabbage adds a very fun and different texture. My family are all crazy about the Morning Buns, which are not really my thing. But everyone else seems to love them. The service has always been friendly, and they do a good job of attending to everyone. Just a really solid choice for weekend brunch. I've never been there for lunch; they are open for dinner as well... but it has never really struck me as a "dinner" type of place.

I really like Blue Moon for just about all the same reasons as the other reviewers. There are a whole lot of really delicious options, though some things have been just mediocre (nothing is terrible!) and I'm not that blown away by their breakfast pastries. We almost always go for breakfast -- we almost never think to go for lunch, but the couple times we've tried lunch, it has been wonderful. Haven't been for dinner. My current favorite is adding bacon & avocado to the breakfast burrito -- it's a great blend of flavors, and the salsa is YUMMY! I can never remember if it's the huevos rancheros or the migas that I also really love (I'm not such a fan of the other one, even though the dishes are very similar). Overall, a solidly good experience worth trying (and coming back to!).

To me, this place is just ok. I go here maybe twice a month with friends who love it, and I will say the patio is a nice place to relax while having brunch. I'd classify the food as above average but nothing has wowed me. The breakfast tacos taste good but are really, really runny. The French toast has a good flavor but a strange, cakey texture that I didn't like. The service is decent; the coffee is just bad. It'll never be the place I choose when it's my turn to pick, but I don't mind tagging along when a friend wants to come here.

Stopped in here on a late Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. They weren't technically open for dinner yet, but they let us eat anyway. Had their veggie burger, which they make there, and it was great. My friend liked her chicken breast sandwich, and they have a great selection of bakery items and even some Mexican paletas (popsicles)! I am from CA so it's good to know where I can find a sweet paleta on a hot summer day. The owner or manager lady is originally from San Diego, so that explained how she even knew what a paleta was. Atmosphere-wise, it's a pleasant place; the local art on the walls is a good idea, but it's well, a little haphazard, e.g. none of it really goes together, but they do have a fun and quirky collection of salt and pepper shakers which is a nice touch to give the place some flavor. Quick and friendly service, so it's a perfect lunch spot when you are hanging out in Brookside. I'd go back there, for sure.

We went here for brunch on Sunday. It brings an eclectic group of Tulsans together in the name of great food. You'll see 20-something hipster rubbing shoulders with 60-something well-established, Tulsa businessmen. I'd say the dress code is what you'd expect of the Brookside area, casual but somewhat nice. We ordered one of the specials of the day, which was Chicken Tamales with a Poached Egg, Hollandaise with cilantro, and spuds ($8.95). It was a delicious choice for brunch and probably the best version of breakfast potatoes I've ever had!! There are so many options to choose from, so you will not be disappointed if the Chicken Tamales aren't available that day. There are also a lot of healthier options (i.e. whole wheat pancakes and steel cut oatmeal), and the ambience is friendly and open. The bakery display was full of what I'm sure are delicious treats, and the service was fast and polite. All in all, I think this place is my choice for Sunday breakfast/brunch or even Tuesday-Saturday night dinner :-) Enjoy!!

Have been to Blue Moon 4 times over a few months, and haven't ordered anything we didn't like. Very strong breakfast/brunch and sandwich menu and the best veggie burger I've ever found so far. (Second best in Tulsa so far was at McNellie's). Usually quite busy on weekends but never had trouble finding a seat. Outdoor seating along the sidewalk in warmer weather. Plenty of parking in lot immediately north and west.

The homemade bakery goods are very tasty. They have the BEST biscotti I've ever had. Made with real fruit and crunchy toasted almonds...it's just perfect with a coffee! Looking forward to trying out the food items, especially their breakfast fare! Very cute and trendy place.

Love this place. The service is great. Everyone is kind and attentive, they want to make sure you have everything you need and want, prepared the exact way you want it. I generally get the burger and fries here. The fries are beer battered, which this is the only place in Tulsa I have seen that offers beer battered fries and they are delicious. Te food is amazing, everything is so flavorful, not too mention the prices are great for food this good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to eat lunch.

This place is fantastic! When I first walked in I actually felt kind of like I was at home in Austin... for you Austin-ers, it's kind of like a modern Magnolia Cafe with a Texas Honey Ham twist to it. But enough about Austin... It's a wonderfully lit and modern cafe. I like that you can order at the front from the massive menu on the board, or you can sit with a menu and order when you're ready. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are nicely sized, not too small, but not too big. I ordered the breakfast wrap and it was incredible... it's what reminded me of Texas Honey Ham. I absolutely loved it, the flavors and textures were totes the best! Yes, I did just say that. I also ordered a side pancake ($3... kinda steep considering the size but I was still very happy with my meal). I would definitely come back here to try their chili verde con huevos or their lunch/dinner menu.

Best breakfast I've found in Tulsa. The specials are great, the breakfast quesadillas are the best I've had, and the salsa surprises me ever time. Come for the coffee, stay for the best breakfast in town.

Blue Moon is such a cute place!! It has a great vibe and fun decor. I love their obsession with different types of salt and pepper shakers. This place is a must try for sure! I love coming here for breakfast, but lunch here has treated me well too. I had a Bull's Eye this last time which was an over easy egg cooked in the middle of wheat toast. The potatoes were so delicious with a perfect crunch on the outside. The bacon was also made to perfection. I liked this meal a lot because the portion size was just right. Most breakfast places serve way too much food that you end up feeling sick afterwards, but Blue Moon knows how to do it right. For lunch, I like getting a 1/2 and 1/2 either with a soup or pasta side and a sandwich. I recommend the club sandwich. It's so tasty!

BREAKFAST REVIEW ONLY Blue Moon is a solid option for a casual weekend breakfast. While the food is not amazing, it is always consistently good and I enjoy the Mexican flair of some dishes. If you like spicy, you must try the Chile Pork Verde. I also really enjoy the breakfast tacos, breakfast quesadillas and the yogurt parfait. They always have a few good specials on the board as well. We stop here at least a few times a month for some post-run nourishment with friends. They serve Lavazz coffee which I always enjoy, and the carafes of mimosas are done the right way, i. e. with plenty of sparkling vs OJ. During comfortable weather, they also have a nice patio.

I LOVED the live music, amazing spinach salad with hot bacon dressing, outdoor seating along the river that was free of flies with misters on the very warm day and the BEST part...delicious margaritas and bloody mary's!!! Being new to Tulsa my hubby and I are determined to located our bloody mary spots and this is definitely one that we will visit again. =) P.S. The bathroom was one of the coolest I have ever seen!

Great breakfast and lunch options. Their soups and sandwich of the day are usually amazing. You can expect to drop around $11 - $13 for a sandwich, cup of soup, and a drink. Not exactly a bargain, but you pay for quality ingredients and a prime location in Brookside. They have good dinners too, but the place doesn't get packed for dinner. I think it just has a breakfast / lunch vibe.

I went on an adventure last night. Being new to Tulsa I went to brrokside, chose one of the many places there to eat. I chose the Blue Moon. As I entered the cafe I had HIGH hope. They would soon be dashed. As we were sat at a table we were handed a small menu. I looked it over and chose our mean. But wait, and wait, and wait. 15 minutes and Im ready to leave no order taken when the oh so bored waitress came and took our order. We ordered the faefal bites, okie capri salad, and the chicken sandwich. Then 3 minutes later she comes back over and asks if we wanted the appitizers with the meal. One, you ask that when you take the order if you ask it. Most don't ask because unless specific that is how MOST people want it. appitixers first. While waiting for the food, I looked over the place. Some really tacky artwork (paintings) of trucks? Dump trucks big rigs on canvas? really tacky. The patio area dirty, I mean dirty. ugg, the table next to us a napkin tucked under it to level it out. So the place was a mess. The music latin, yet little to no mician food on the menu...Someone needs to help these people out. Now for the food. The appitizer was good, moist inside crunhy outside. Perhaps the best part of this meal. My friends chicken sandwich nothing exception, but the fries crispy but no seasoning and no flavor. Now my salad. First bite into the greens i bite into gritty dirty greens. Ugg..pathoey...Then onto what I was waiting for the green fried tomatoes on this okie salad...WHAT! NO FLAVOR!..Dissapointment. Overall place was not bad, but not great..so hohum and forgetable.

Tried this place the other day with my girlfriend. It was a great experience. The coffee was good, and came in large mugs. Awesome. There was a display case of baked goods, including a really delicious looking tomato quiche. Unfortunately I didn't get to try it on my visit as we stopped in for breakfast. Somewhat of a wait, the place was busy, and although there were empty spots, the food took a bit of time coming out, although nothing too long. I ordered the Migas, and my date got the 2 eggs and sausage with a half order of french toast. The Migas were ok. I liked the potatoes better. My date's food was great though. The sausage was REAL, and it was a bit on the spicy side (which I liked but my date didn't) so beware. Still it was very good. The french toast is what really caught my attention. It looked like they used real french bread here. It was awesome and was a lot more substantial than a flimsy looking piece of wheat bread. This is a great breakfast place, and I'm sure going to be heading back soon.

Nice place, casual, somewhat affordable, upscale with well prepared imaginative food. Bright, clean, well designed space...menu on large board. Tasty sandwiches, wraps and salads with a California flair....even open for dinner too. Freshly baked breads and goodies. Good to find a restaurant serving whole wheat pancakes, served with maple syrup...add bananas, pecans or peanut butter for .50. Omelet special was very good, although not as big as I would have liked. Fine coffee and friendly service, very sweet owner. Pleasant outdoor sidewalk tables too. Great retro Half Moon vintage sign!

Since discovering this cafe a couple months ago, I have been back at least once a week for breakfast. Their sticky buns are the best I've ever had, and the biscuits and gravy are awesome. Their coffee is ground and brewed fresh. Definitely a great spot to start they day. They also do lunch and dinner, but I have not been able to resist the breakfast to hold out for them.

"Foodie Incognito" my butt... I guess, in the back-of-mind, I thought that someone would run a visual scan of my mug shot (sunglasses and beard), and track me down. I mean, come on, it is because I am soooo important... (Stated with tongue firmly planted in cheek). So it was with great surprise when I was recognized, not once, but twice in the last couple of weeks! Of course, with my "never-say-anything-bad" style of writing, (*wink* *wink*) I was quite flummoxed; not knowing if I was going to be congratulated or punched in the nose. Luckily, they were both positive experiences, but still frightening enough to the boss that I was politely asked (actually told) to change my photo. That means forget the sunglasses/beard biker photo and insert the little blue dog. Unfortunately, I am only half werewolf, thus the cute little dog, not the menacing werewolf reviewer that I wish I was... Okay? What the hell does that have to do with anything?!? This... Restaurant owners are hip to our little community and, as Martha would say, "That is a good thing". Yep, you guessed it, Alan, the owner of the Blue Moon, recognized me. Luckily, I had written a positive review, but I was still surprised. I was even more surprised when he stated that he was considering my suggestion of returning to baking the cream cheese morning rolls in the old manner that I like. And to my surprise (again), the next time I was there, Alan pointed out the revamped cream cheese morning rolls. He even said that these were specifically made with me in mind. Wow! Of course, I bought one and here is the verdict... *drum roll* Yum! Instead of making it exactly like the original, he took the best parts of the new and the old and combined them into a really good roll. It has, for example, the crunchy sugar crumbs on top (old) and the croissant like dough (new) with a good amount of gooey sweet cream cheese within. I like this new version a lot and appreciate Alan's willingness to listen and make his product even better. Thanks for making my choice for breakfast even harder! Also, I would be remiss if I did not mention the muffins. I have previously written that I found the muffins ho-hum. Although I have not tried all of the them again recently, I have had the lemon ricotta and the pecan cream cheese. These are definitely worth trying. The lemon ricotta has more flavor and the pecan was so moist... Once again, it has been a pleasure seeing an already great bakery work to make itself even better. Thanks again! The moral of this story; take your reviews seriously. Not only are other yelpers reading and basing their decisions on what you say, but owners are as well. And, if you are lucky, they may even take your criticism and make a tweak or two that makes their product that much better.

Have been wanting to try this spot after all the good reviews I have heard. Cut to the chase. Walked in at 1:30pm this past Sunday to be greeted by a "witch" (you can insert the proper name) only to be told the kitchen was closed. No she did not offer maybe something out of the case. She just assumed that my wife and I wanted to place an order from the kitchen. Place was pretty busy. Who shuts down a kitchen with a fairly full joint @ least 30 minutes early. Will I make a return visit. Not at all!!!! This place could be the last place open to eat in the brookside area and I would still not step foot into this place. Nothing like shooting yourself in the foot. Given that the economy is down, I would think the owner would want to try and stay open to the posted close time. Bad business choice.

From my most recent bakery crawl: The brownie looked great, but was too cake like. It reminded me very much of a Texas sheet cake. Not a bad cake, but not a brownie. The sugar cookie was dry and had an odd aftertaste-- butter flavoring maybe? The peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies were overbaked to the point of being burned. I'm not sure if they were so dry because they were so overbaked, or in the case of the peanut butter cookie if it was intentional. The oatmeal cookie was pretty good. Crispy edges, chewy center. Good flavor. Don't bother with the biscotti. It wasn't crisp or crunchy the way biscotti should be. The flavor wasn't all that great either. If you're going to Blue Moon bakery, have their regular menu items: sandwiches, quiche, etc.

Tabbouleh? "What's that I asked!!" I was told it's a vegetarian dish, made from chopped tomato, mint, parsley, bulgur (Turkish cereal made from different wheats), and onion. She then added, "It's our most ordered dish along with a Reuben Sandwich!!" Did she just say Reuben Sandwich? I was sold, done!! I couldn't believe how good my reuben sandwich was, and my tabbouleh...? Man, I'm no vegetarian but that dish was just way too good!! By the way, their coffee here was good too!! Who knew... Tulsa had all of this... and the plus side, Blue Moon has tons of outdoor seatings including portable heaters to keep you nice and toasty, during those nippy days and nights!! Until then, Cheers! ~ :p
