Fantastic Divey Experience! American Diner/Comfort Food Menu has LARGE print. You're not 'GREETED AND SEATED' So just find a suitable table....they'll get to ya. ( there's a closed-off separate section for smokers) They do close early!! (About 2pm) They have a folksy staff, that still calls ya, hon! The food has bountiful portions and is full of flavor. I had the Mexican Burger Steak...served in Two Parts! The Ground and Browned beef...that filled a 10" plate, and a 9x11 basket of Okra, Tots, and Brown Gravy!

Small diner with plenty of locals who are obviously regulars. Nice small town feel. Lots of comfort food. Nothing real fancy but good portions and well made. I had the burger and fries, but substituted onion rings. The food was tasty, plentiful, and inexpensive. Service was friendly and quick. When I find myself in Sulphur again I will be sure to stop back in.

It's ok for what it is.... would bee a lot better if they got some younger help to keep them from getting snowed under. We had to sit with 2 other families which was fine but we were forgot about and had to remind them what we ordered. I also didn't care for every waitress being so touchy feely

Good little hole in the wall, locals dive. Walk in & seat yourself. Service was good and they like to occasionally tease the customers but it's all in good fun. I had a basic breakfast of eggs, bacon, hashbrowns , and toast; it was decent except my hashbrowns were overcooked but other than that, it was good & inexpensive. Note! new address is 905 W. University; Yelp has not updated it yet. Look for the white & yellow building with the records & music notes painted on the sides next to sooner foods.

We stopped in poor girls for breakfast while visiting turner falls, and wow, we were extremely impressed. So much so that we ended up returning the next morning for breakfast again. Everything was cooked just right, the staff were friendly, and the prices were more than fair. Their biscuits are fantastic, the hash browns were perfect, and the bacon...I don't know what they do to it, but it's amazing. If you're really hungry, go for the chicken fried steak and eggs. You're in for a treat. It's hard for any place to impress me with their chicken fried steak, but they knocked it out of the park. Next time I'm in Sulphur Oklahoma, you can bet I'll be doing breakfast at poor girls again.

Exactly what I was hoping for: delicious, fast, and friendly. I had the catfish plate with green beans and mashed potatoes and literally have zero complaints. My husband had the patty melt with onion rings. The onion rings are AWESOME. The patty melt was good but could have used just a bit more seasoning. The sweet tea was perfect!

Pretty good diner food. There around 1:30 so lunch buffet looked a little tired. Food off the menu cooked well and tasty. Great staff, out front and in back. Note it's at 905 Broadway, not 12th.

Great food!! Amazing .... even though they're not known for gluten free, they were willing to work with me! They made an amazing meal! Everyone else who ordered that was not gluten intolerant, were also very happy! Great waitress named Liz too! Great cooks!! They even came out to ask questions to make sure I would be ok. This is the best ma and pa place with a whole lot of care :)

Love this "locals favorite" place to grab grub. They have moved closer to the artesian, so be aware of the un-updated address on yelp/Google, as of date of this review. Super fun waitresses that give you crap but are fun loving about it. Best breakfast we had in Sulphur. Omelette was yummy and others in party loved their meals of hash towns, bacon and eggs. Coffee was topped off repeatedly. My grits were undercooked and there was a smoking area separated by a door, but the smoke made it into the non smoking area as the door was used. Those are my only complaints.

Great home cooking. Friendly small town atmosphere. It must be a favorite of locals. Had breakfast and it was delicious. The pancakes are huge.

This is a little ma and pa diner. It's open for breakfast and lunch only. It seems to be popular with the local old timers. I like the loaded biscuits.

Had lunch here after visiting the Chickasaw Cultural Center. First off, they have moved to Broadway, easy enough to find. It's a dive but must be popular, every empty table was dirty and the waitresses were hurrying to clear them off. The floor was dirty & they have a smoke room (ugh), you just can't keep that smoke confined. We each ordered burger & fries (that's usually a safe hit for such local diners.). Burgers were ok, nothing special. Fries were fresh cut but soggy. We won't be going back.

Good local spot! Bypassed the typical fast food spots looking for something like this. Had a burger which I thought was great, boyfriend had catfish which was also good and service was super friendly. Breakfast menu looked promising as well.
